When the terms “freedom and liberty” are allowed to be defined as extremist sentiment, what you end up with are Canadian federal police beating people in the streets and arresting citizens who petition their government for freedom. Meanwhile, the ever fearful and politically correct conservatives in Parliament grasp their pearls while simultaneously cowering to avoid labels.
Somewhere there is a radical called Saul Alinsky, the trainer of modern revolutionary communists and political leftists – who dedicated his training manual to Lucifer, smiling as he watches the results of his teachings. Unfortunately, we have not yet seen the worst of what is to come from this.
Allow me to highlight the point with two easily referenced examples from Canadian media (infiltrated with ideological stenographers) and contemplate the larger message against government saying we must “defend our democracy” while removing political protest. Notice the evolution of the collective narrative in just a few days.
The word “freedom” is extremist (Feb 13) … Conservatives are “extremist” (Feb 18)
When “freedom and liberty” are defined as extremism, conservatives become defined as extremists. See how that works? Yes, linguistic judo and ideological training provided by Saul Alinsky, in his rules for radicals.
In essence, Alinsky taught the budding communists to define the opposition, isolate them, ridicule them and marginalize them. Now, if you find yourself having a mental reference to a race of persons as defined during World War II, before Alinsky’s book was even written, your reference point is solid.
Whenever we allow any entity, group, or collective echo-chamber to change the terminology, we are making a big mistake. Orwell wrote about the outcome in his book 1984, where The Ministry of Peace is established to create war; the Ministry of Truth is established to create lies and propaganda; the Ministry of Love established to justify torture and beatings; and the Ministry of Plenty to control food production leading to starvation.
These are not simply contradictions in words and terms, these are an earlier version of what David Mamet later described as necessary tools for modern leftists. In order to advance severe ideological positions, they must pretend not to know things. Ignoring contradictions is a feature of modern leftism, not a flaw.
Denial of truth allows easier trespass.
However, the issue of not really believing in the message of freedom and liberty is far more consequential.
What we are witnessing in Canada is not only an outcome of a severely ideological tribe of leftists; the worst part of what we are forced to witness is an outcome of conservative politicians with ZERO skills at fighting back against it.
The Conservative Party of Canada is a weak, ineffective, useless and scared political apparatus.
They are cowards, because they really do not believe their own message.
They are so afraid of the Alinsky linguistics, they expend all of their energy trying to avoid labels. As a result of their all-consuming politically correct avoidance efforts, they have no other skills to fight.
The leftists shout, “look a swastika”, and immediately their opposition jumps to the defensive. People have become so accustomed to this ever-repeating situation, they have lost all reference for what “liberty and freedom” actually mean.
“Look a swastika,” should be met with a voice declaring, “yes, and how incredible it is that our commitment to liberty is so strong that we can see a multitude of expressions, even those we do not agree with, and not tremble, cower or fear over their appearance.”
The fact that a group could walk down Parliament Hill carrying a banner that says, “We Love Communism” and no one cares, is the truest version of freedom and liberty. However, fighting for freedom, liberty and self-determination depends on believing in it.
“Look a swastika.” Yes, and we proudly have the strongest free speech democracy in the west. You do not have to agree with the speech or even like it, to defend the right of independent thought.
Liberty, freedom and self-determination depends on believing in your message.
Donald Trump believes in it, that’s why DC hates him. The Brexiteers in the U.K believe in it, that’s why the British Parliament hate them. Ultimately the Canadian truckers believe in it, and that is exactly why the leftist political class in Ottawa hate them.
Additionally, the unapologetic audacity within all three aforementioned groups also strikes fear into their opposition because Alinsky’s tactics do not work against people who believe their message.
The need for control is a reaction to fear.
Anger is a very visible response from the political left whenever their collective policies are challenged or rejected.
The modern political left does not view rejection as a rebuke of their ideology, instead they view rejection as a signal they need to push harder. From their perspective they need to reeducate their target, to force a change in thinking from incorrect thoughts to correct thoughts, and the only acceptable path is to push harder.
The abuser says, “if you had made me a better sandwich, I would not have needed to slam your head into the fridge,” the same principle applies here.
This leftist political approach is based on a cognitive inability to reflect or contemplate their ideology is flawed. There are several reasons for this, including that their belief system is not a natural outcome of independent growth. They had to be taught to hate, and when confronted they do not know how to argue.
Instead, they put the emotion of their views as the motive for their effort, and they become incapable of changing direction. From the perspective of the modern political left, if they were to change direction, they would be rejecting the foundation of their own personal value. They cannot do that. It is not them that are wrong -ever- it’s you.
Those who do not adhere to the insane ideological goals of the far left, are viewed as the problem that must be overcome.
The leftist emotional attachment to ideology is why these avowed and ideological followers cannot be redeemed or coerced into reasonable positions with any logical argument. Instead, it is you who must be re-educated to see their worth, to value their ideology. You, the person or group who stands in their way, will always be viewed as the problem.
Failing to accept the fundamental set of core beliefs within the modern political left is a flaw on the side of those who engage in the battle for ideas.
It doesn’t matter how good your ideas and policies are, even when you deliver results to prove your accuracy, this specific opponent will always revert back to attacking the success based on their view of your wrongthink.
“Freedom” becomes extremist.
Arguing with a political leftist like Justin Trudeau, in the hope they can be convinced to change direction, is futile. He is disassociated on a mental and emotional level from any semblance of a capacity to consider he may be wrong.
This is why Canadian conservatives must harden, become more severe, and never let up in the fight against leftist Canadians.
Even in victory, the blue collar working class commonsense approach must be relentless.
The modern left has to be destroyed on such a scale as their dangerous ideology is reduced to burning embers; however, do not trick yourself into believing it will ever be fully extinguished.
History has taught us that even when the professional political left is seemingly wiped out, enough will remain waiting for another Alinsky or Obama type personality to blow them gently into a state of reignition…. and the cycle will start again.
The events in Ottawa have triggered them to such an extent, they needed to invoke National Emergency Measures, a state of national emergency and martial law.
Conservatives in Canada must now fully expect this insane crowd to become even more entrenched, even more vitriolic, and yes, even more crazy. We will see it with even bigger demands on their Big Tech allies to crush voices of communication against their enemy.
They won’t just stop with debanking, that’s too immediate. Now comes the longer-term issue of controlling communication to ensure the uprisings never happen again.
Prime Minister Trudeau will demand more control mechanisms, more censorship, more deplatforming of his opposition, more silencing of voices, more demonetization of content platforms by the government’s corporate allies. He will go even harder in the totalitarian direction, all the while proclaiming it is one effort to “save Canadian democracy”.
This is what they do.
Trudeau’s tribe are like the scorpion in Aesop’s fable about the frog crossing the river. They are incapable of not stinging… it’s what they do.

You cannot comply your way out of tyranny any more than you can negotiate your way out of the gallows. If you are considered the enemy of the modern leftist movement, they will seek your destruction.

Kentucky has, since the 2020 election, become a hotbed of conservative activity around grass roots participation as poll watchers and precinct captains etc (as detailed at warroom.org). There are some major conservative boosters and activists there who are recruiting like crazy, and furthermore, a very vibrant, conservative, Jewish community is becoming increasingly active in conservative politics in Kentucky.
AND THEN: in the last 48 hours, a known BLM activist (arrested and bailed out by BLM) from Louisville took a pot shot(sketchy info. as usual; privacy doncha know!) at a third-party, Louisville mayoral candidate of Jewish heritage (who is a lib, btw). Was the finger of blame meant to be pointed at white supremacists? I believe so.
Upshot: I have no doubt this was a false flag operation that may have gone bad that was meant to anger and intimidate members of the Jewish community from both sides of their political spectrum, but principally, and most importantly, meant to dampen Jewish residents’ enthusiasm for conservatism which, according to the communist narrative, is the home of anti-Semite, KKK, white supremacists.
Such tactics as these will never, and could never be countenanced by decent, patriotic, activistic citizens.
The left, however, devotes enormous energy and resources to the dark arts of politics in order to win at all cost. Human life means little to them. “Just win, baby!”
Fortunately, an energy gap on so sordid a level as this will, hopefully, always exist.

Are there any conservative in Canada? Really? Odds are that most of the truckers and those supporting them vote for Trudeau. Most Canadians like the “big government benefits” to which they had become accustomed. By protesting they were petitioning the government that they in fact helped elect for relief from the oppressive COVID regulation. The overt lesson which Canadians are learning is the brutality of the government they elected, of the system they supported. Once the authoritarian limits were tested, they found there was no real compassion there at all.

Old news. Most of the trucks have left or have been towed. The police requisitioned tow trucks through the Emergencies Act, took off their plates and decals, put on a police decal and they were ordered to remove any truck left on the streets. By morning, all the streets of Ottawa will be cleared.

I don’t disagree with this write up, but it’s kind of gross, Sundance. I’m glad you’ve learned something, because a week ago you were cheering these truckers on. Everyone who cheered these guys on now owns a part of what is happening to them – what will continue to happen to them in the days and months to come…
Like the Nancy who ran away after inciting the old man to be arrested for honking his horn, how many of you are going to drive to Canada to join with the truckers, now that you’ve cheered them on to this point? And, be arrested yourselves?
I am praying like crazy for the truckers in the street now. And, I am praying like crazy that many of you take the advice I’ve been conveying here in the comments for weeks. Next time, leave the bouncy houses (and your kids) at home, and turn the damn dance music off.

Interesting post. Is it possible it behooves the rest of Canada to stand up for your own civilization? Canada has enjoyed a nice little respite from war by lying in the cradle of safety between the US mainland and the US of Alaska. Maybe more than 50% of you should provide for your own liberty and freedom, and quit asking us to drive across borders to come to your rescue. We may need to arrange for our own liberty before we can continue fighting for that of every other country in the world. Surely we put a lot of money just into the GoFundMe and the other funding organization. When do the other countries ever send money or forces to help the US? Wake me when it happens.

Honestly, I think it’s simpler than this…the political industrial complex in DC and other Western countries is so infested with graft, greed, corruption, and blackmail that it is absolutely endemic to our federal government… the analogy I often use to describe the almost impossible feat Trump tried to pull off is imagine Trump ran for mayor of Las Vegas under the promise of cleaning up the city and upon election he announced he was going to eliminate gambling… imagine the shockwave that would run through the casino owners and mover and shakers in Sin City? The whole thing is built on gambling! How could he do such a thing?! Imagine the mobilization against Trump by everyone who stand to gain from gambling in Las Vegas?!
This isn’t a perfect analogy, but the shockwave Trump delivered in his inauguration functioned in the same way in DC as it does in Ottowa right now…how dare these truckers interrupt the so-called gravy train of graft, greed, corruption, and blackmail? In other words, the Conservatives are all in on it, they just feign fidelity to freedom, justice, and democracy

I have been kicked in the teeth enough with labels so that they no longer affect me. In fact, I know I’m piercing flesh (figuratively) when those names come out. Speaking from personal experience, and extrapolating to others, this is how I think it happens.
We are good people. Being called a racist, bigot etc. leaves us aghast. Because we ascribe honest motives to most folks, we try to explain why we aren’t whatever they are accusing us of. Argument is then lost. That was the old me because I no longer fear their labels. I don’t have FU money yet. I do fear economic retribution now that I have been doxed for my donation to freedoms. But if I don’t stand up now, who if not me? If not me now, when?

This is central to the problem. We value honesty and truth. They do not. In order to fight back, we have to bend the very framework that we’re fighting to preserve.
I learned to have a thick skin at a young age. Kids can be cruel and with a name like Silas I felt that cruelty. The variations on my name were ruthless in some cases.

I think it pays not to complicate things too much. There is a very long history of people being hanged and burned at the stake for speaking the truth. As Pilot asked, “What is truth?,” after which we were given the answer. The Truth is a person, and the battlefield is the same today as it was then.
Trudeau is just another mini-Hitler, yawn, and he is doing the bidding of the Father of Lies. These guys always do. They are all murderers, even the so-called conservatives, except for those that speak out openly against child sacrifice. What’s the end game? Same as always. They want to destroy the Church established by Jesus Christ, which many of us know as Western Civilization. They will never do it, but they will never stop trying.
So get used to it. We’re dealing with Aztecs here. Same theology, same goals, same techniques. It was worth seeing if we could put the genie back in the bottle with the controls and structures established by the Church (which we have stupidly abandoned), and there may still be hope of doing so down here, but Canada is now Austria is Australia is communist China. Do everything you can to help out, but don’t be naive about what we’re seeing here, and don’t be surprised if we someday see roads lined with the crucified and clotheslines with severed heads dangling from them like in Armenia.

Sheesh- I don’t know how he comes up with all this brilliancy! Most of the really good writers who are online are lucky to do one really great piece per week, yet SD sometimes does it three times a day. But I digress.
This Canada situation, OUR situation and Sundance’s essay have me thinking a lot about our President Trump and all that he managed to accomplish during the time that he was in office. Not only was he a brilliant politician but more importantly he was the LEADER of the Free World.
There is not one person currently on the scene from either the conservative or the Communist side who is even close to having those leadership qualities that enabled President Trump to do what he did for the cause of freedom and liberty.
That being said- I am seeing way too many phony Repubs and conservatives trying to write off our President. Even people that are supposed to be on “our team” are making snide remarks to the effect that he should stop talking about J/6 or he should stop making announcements about current events. You know what I’m talking about. Like any of them could do one one hundredth of what he did with one arm tied behind his back.
The world is at a point today, just about a year after that drooling degenerate was installed in the White House, where we are on the brink of war and/or the destruction of western civilization. Best case scenario the Repubs don’t blow it (again) in this year’s elections and we get some breathing space until President Trump returns and finishes what he started.
Next time around, I believe that our great President is going to do some serious ass kicking from one end of the world to the other, including this little Canadian freak True Dope. What’s happening in Canada and Ukraine would NEVER have happened under a Trump administration. No way in hell, and all the Marxist devils know it.
Meanwhile, I do not want to hear from the naysayers, RINOs, commentators or anyone else who is trying to tear down our President. That is part of the psy-op that Sundance is always talking about and we simply can never let ourselves get caught up in it!
There are so many fantastic comments and great suggestions here, so much wisdom. We really do help each other on so many levels.
The truckers are on the front lines of the war that we are all fighting to one degree or another. ( If you live in a hell hole, Blue Gulag state like NY, you know what I mean. ). The past couple of weeks they have given us something very important- HOPE and also LOVE. Truly their convoy was another act of Divine Providence.
Meanwhile, in the day s ahead, let us pray, stay strong in the fellowship of the Tree House, never give in and keep throwing sand in the machinery whenever we can. Remember- “hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.”
You make great points…the biggest one is the rift between MAGA and the GOP…it’s sort of a chicken and the egg syndrome….the GOP base gave the Republican party Trump because we knew they were a bunch of Globalist sellouts…it wasn’t hard to see, and when Trump had the guts to call out what was happening on the southern border and how it was damaging the sovereignty of the United States, he instantly became the front runner…instantly! So we gave them Trump and then he did the unforgivable: he won and he stuck to his MAGA guns…cant have that, so they plotted to get rid of him, and eventually did, but at the high cost of exposing their obvious treachery.. and now they are trying to put the GOP humpty dumpty back together with their voting base with lame pot shots and sorry promises about all the sorry promises they always made to us….but the wound is too deep and the betrayal was too infuriating…they are counting on time and events and their own inflated sense of their political persuasive skills to bring us back to the fold…watching McConnell and Graham and most of Foxnews and other establishment outlets is actually quite pathetic…they have soiled their own bed and now have to forever sleep in it…unless some of us start to fall for it and splinter off about vaccines and other tired memes about his temperament and his so-called staffing deficiencies….the point: stay strong, these GOP losers are over a barrel, having destroyed their party through their greed, self-interest, and cowardness…it’s our party, as long as we stay strong and united and cease to engage in the internal sniping that sometimes rears its head in this comment section

It seems to be that there are two types of people, politically speaking. Those who can Live And Let Live and those who simply can’t. I don’t think it is so much a matter of zero skills as zero desire. The “conservative” politicians appear to be comfortable with the current situation and to hope that if they avoid meaningful action, they will remain comfortable.
Skill and desire are both important. One without the other is not much use.
