Fox News Host Tucker Carlson used his opening monologue to outline the recent court documents highlighting how government contractors aligned with the Hillary Clinton campaign were permitted to conduct electronic surveillance of Donald Trump as a candidate and a President.
The electronic data was extracted by Neustar, a federal contractor. The head of the organization, Rodney Joffe, then used cyber tech resources from Georgia Tech to assemble the data and deliver a false report to the Clinton campaign of Trump-Russia connections.

Actually, a federal prosecutor cannot indict a suspect without a finding from a grand jury as per the fifth amendment to the Constitution.
In the end, your fears may be proven justified, The population of DC voted for Hillary over Trump in 2016 by a 95% to 5% margin… and the implications of that political environment within the entire bureaucracy are frightening. Will an overwhelmingly Democrat jury convict a present or former high-ranking Democrat public official? And if it gets in front of a “judge” like Emmet G. Sullvan, with the preceding’s even allow for a conviction?
The very fact that grand juries in DC voted to indict both Clinesmith and Sussman gives me some hope that enough citizens in Washington are capable of doing the right thing. I’m reminded of Comey outlining the criminal details of the investigation into Hillary’s email. As a person who understands classified information, the handling and the criminal consequences of failing to comply, I heard everything Comey had to say with joy and celebration right up until he delivered his final statement about “intent” and refusal to prosecute… both were false. Intent is not required and that the FBI does not prosecute.
So just about everything any of us are saying has a strong element of speculation because there are things we can’t know as it relates to the Durham work.
But there are things we can guess about not based on the content, but base on the REACTION in the media. What we need is a weather balloon. Carlson still doesn’t have it quite right. It wasn’t emails and texts that the contractor intercepted from the Executive Office of the President. Those would have most likely been encrypted (I sure hope!)
It was requests to the Domain Name System (DNS). According to Durham’s filing, the contractor was apparently maintaining a DNS server(s) for the EOP, so they were able to obtain a complete list of all domain names (e.g. “theconservativetreehouse.com”) accessed by any system connected to that DNS infrastructure.
(Notice that at no time did the democrats claim to know the content of any of the alleged communications.)
Interestingly, the filing seems to indicate that the same company also maintained the DNS infrastructure at the following locations (in addition to the EOP):
(i) a particular healthcare provider,
(ii) Trump Tower,
(iii) Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment building
It’s possible. But there is this sticky part that indicates that’s not ALL they did… When you make announcements available to criminals, you don’t reveal EVERYTHING and the statement itself indicates this was merely AMONG the things they did. But DNS is a vector which a LOT of things can be done!
For example, if you have control over the DNS, that opens the door to redirecting requests to alternative resources INCLUDING encrypted resources. All one has to do is generate SSL certs for the alternative/redirected targets and everything else will keep working. It’s pretty easy to imagine a massive MiTM to collect just about anything.
This is another example of: if people do their jobs correctly then all of the Uniparty’s deeds will be brought to light. Once you dig and start pulling at strings things get unraveled.
Remember: Mueller also went after Russian companies who “paid to subvert and manipulate an election” during his SC in order to continue to sell the narrative: the Russians helped Trump get elected. He filed indictment against 10 or so Russian companies with the thought: none of them will bother and since they are in Russia, this will just disappear.

This is a very carefully crafted description of the relationships and actions. Deconstruct it. Joffe didn’t provide data. He provided access to data. That data was obtained by SOMEONE from a “private client” (doesn’t say of WHOM). That client was providing data services to the EOP. The key is the SOMEONE, the WHOM. Who might that have been?
It sounds like a lawyer’s client was providing DNS service to the EOP, lawyer got his hands on data the client had access to, and Joffe (legally he claims) then gave someone else access to the data the lawyer had.
Not just the statement, but the entire series of relationships and actions sounds like they were carefully crafted by a lawyer trying to do something illegal by setting up a series of legal relationships and actions. That never works. One of the actions always crosses the line. The whole thing is too clever by half.

So, Joffe was doing what the world’s crime syndicates do on a daily basis: they use lawyers to lay legal hurdles to put distance between the players in the chance one of them happens to get caught.
This is Joffe’s attempt at distancing himself. I watch a lot of True Crime Documentaries: First 48, Homicide Hunter with Joe Kenda, FBI Files, See No Evil, etc. Joffe’s statement is akin to the guy who put someone in touch with the guy who is hired to do the murder.
