They probably know enough to realize that when that stops the end will not be too far behind although there are those that stay wheelchair bound for years but most came into the facility in one due to preexisting physical issues, I think. No expert but personal experience with my mother. She walked and walked until she couldn’t anymore and died within a year.

The position Putin is in with Crimea is the same position the United States is in with Pearl Harbor and Hawaii. Sevastopol is a Russian naval base, the only warm water base Russia has. So, imagine the Chinese occupying all of Hawaii, except for Pearl Harbor and training its artillery on Pearl Harbor. Obama/Nuland failed to recognize this in 2014 and Crimea was annexed. There is no way that Russia will abandon Sevastopol and let it become a base for the US 6th Fleet.
