Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is proposing an interesting legislative approach to curb the White House illegal immigration process. In essence, what the Florida legislature will be enacting are laws that restrict any private company from doing business in Florida if they are participating in the federal programs to distribute illegal aliens.
If a federal contractor facilitates the transport, housing or subsidy of an illegal alien into Florida the state will block that contractor from any state level business relationship. “The legislation proposed today will make clear that the State of Florida will not provide any discretionary benefits to illegal aliens and will also prohibit state and local agencies from doing business with any private entities that facilitate the resettlement of illegal aliens in the state of Florida from the southern border. “
The outline is available [HERE], and the Florida Governor appeared on Fox News to discuss the legislation. WATCH:

…. Meanwhile, in New York state they are back to forcing everyone to wear a mask or face a $1,000 fine. The contrast in applied federalism is getting even more remarkable.
Just like Trump, if nothing else, effectively put bright sunlight on so many, DeSantis by his actions and the all the other red state Governors, by their inactions, have put a bright sunlight on all red Governors. None of them better run for President. I won’t give any of them even a Dominion vote! Patriots they are not
No, no, no!
Unless and until he is term limited, we need Desantis RIGHT WHERE HE IS!
If you keep doing what you have always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got (screwed).
An understanding of HOW we got to where we are is absolutely necesary, if we are to dig ourselves out of this hole.
1)WE, were deluded by the leadership of the GOP, into giving them our votes and $, under the misguided notion that they would aggresively promote and defend our policies.
2) WE put almost all our focus on FEDERAL offices, at the expense of STATE and LOCAL offices. Just look at historical records on turnout at elections.
Mayors and City Councils, School board elections, maybe 10 percent bother to vote.
Turnout for Governors and State legislatures, if they aren’t timed to Federal elections, abysmally low.
3) WE have allowed the Federal government to have much power, it has NO Constitutional authority or responsibility to have. And it has been able to accrue this power, because State legislatures and Governors passively aquiesced; they didn’t aggressively challenge each of these usurpations of State authority, because the residentsvof the States, didn’t demand it.
We have all heard, and probably parroted the fiscal conservative argument, that the way to reduce the sizevof the Federal govt, is to cut off the $.
And, we have seen this just doesn’t work, the behemoth grows, in spite any efforts to restrict $.
But, STATE governments, in not initially contesting Federal overreach, haven’t abdicated the right to, at ANY time in the future.
Extreme Federalism, as Sundance is an area rich for exploitation, if we have Governors and State legislatures willing to pursue it, with citisens in their State pushing/encouraging them.
Public Education, Health regulations, Insurance regulations, Licencing of businesses (to conduct business within the State) MANY areas of life, are Constitutionally, via the 10th amendment, the purvue of the States and the people living IN those States, and the Federal govt has no CONSTITUTIONAL authority.
It is only because State governments didn’t challenge these “power grabs”, that the Federal Govt has been able to amass such power.
Make Congress irrelevant, again! needs to be our motto.
Our founders intended the Federal govt to be weak, and certainly not the bloated behemouth it has become.
When people are gettingvin heated, passionate arguments about local school board, city council, mayor and Governors/State legislature elections,…and not all that interested in Congress and POTUS races, we will know we have gotten where we need to be.
4) Forgetting that POLitics, is about POLicy,..NOT about Personality. Voting for the candidate we would most like to have a beer with, instead of the candidate who shares our views on POLICY, and will aggressively promote and defend those POLICIES is a “trap” far too many have fallen into.
IMHO
You sir have pretty much summed up exactly what the United States is supposed to be. Now to teach it to our young generations in order to make citizens who don’t take their responsibilities lightly.
Florida man says “I’ve got a contractor mandate for you”! Kind of throwing an FJB right back into FJB’s stupid face. 😎😁
Nice move by the Governor.
We desperately need this guy in the White House but hopefully after 4 more years of trump
Yeah, if our votes are not counted by communists. 2020 is now their template, and pass their “no vote will matter” bill in the porkulus back better garbage.
VP?
Maybe Desantis & Trump can “groom” a fleet of new state leaders to follow suite.
Using the threat by the corrupt federal alphabet agencies against the Florida TRUMP Flotilla I expressed by deep desire and demanded that Texas AG Ken Paxton arrest any and all government, corporate, and “Non Profits” that were involved in the illegal human smuggling of illegal aliens into Texas. I had also sent this information to Gov Greg Abbott and the AG office.
I was told it was not their job or duty and I said they were not only wrong, but being criminally complicit in the smuggling as it is a State’s job to protect it’s borders as the Federal is to protect the federal borders.
#AnyoneButAbbott = Allen West, Chad Prather or their third friend running who I know, but sadly keep forgetting his name.
Guess I was ahead of the curve and mad enough at the criminal federal government hypocrisy to demand the State stand against the criminally corrupt as they were threatening USA citizens for illegal activity they were performing.
Don Huffines
“Protect our borders from invasion” is the provision in the constitution, which Brandon has violated on an hourly basis. This madness will not end soon. This was all carefully premeditated. How so many people were able to keep this secret with all the people with access and loose lips, how no one on our side saw this coming is mind boggling. Trump was so popular the deep state had to unleash a bioweapon to get rid of him and make sure “his kind never rises again,” and on a global scale. That is where we are at. And you are here…
So is an annual Congressional budget, appropriated, passed, and signed into law by Sept. 30th of every year … NOT this corrupt process of endless CRs and omnibus bills!
DeSantis is doing what every governor should be doing, looking out for the constituents. That so many other governors are pandering to illegal aliens, wokesterisms or other demonstrably idiotic fads shows how there is a screaming need for a reality check.
Step 1, turn off your television as that is an attack vector for misinformation.
Step 2, contact your elected officials and let them know that they will be voted out if they ignore or abuse their own constituents.
Step 3, add your own steps, recruit friends and neighbors
“In essence, what the Florida legislature will be enacting are laws that restrict any private company from doing business in Florida if they are participating in the federal programs to distribute illegal aliens.”
What about all the NGOs and churches? That is who is funding a lot of this or are the beneficiaries of funds.
He addressed that also. I’m not sure of the specifics.
I go to a good, Biblical church: but even they are falling for the “Help a Refugee!” lies. Wanting us to mentor moslem women and dangerously naive about Islam’s beliefs. NONE of them need to be in any Christian country, when they reach just 10% of the population, they start making hateful demands.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this governor! Wish he were our’s (Ohio).
DeSantis said words I’ve posted on several sites: ” complain, complain, complain”; conservatives, Christian’s complaining. I stopped listening to ourselves! No plan. March and wave signs, march and wave signs – how’s that workin? Their hope is in Trump; but his enemies have taken him off the radar; they eliminated his voice and influence. Hope must be in Christ. Good for DeSantis, he grabbed the bull by the horns. He acts.
Unfortunately, TN made, what it thought was a good decision about 30 yrs ago to let certain nonprofits handle their “refugees”. That has now included the MOST Kurds in the USA (which has given us Kurdish Gangs in our schools, drug dealing, violence, etc). We are now in the lead to take a LOT more Afghanis than the 200 previously announced. Not only that, TN has become a MAJOR Illegal friendly State. We arent SUPPOSED to be–we actually have LAWS regarding the employment of Illegals but it never gets enforced.
All of our major Cities (Nashville/Memphis/Chattanooga/Knoxville) are practically Sanctuary Cities at this point.
The Legislature had to FORCE Catholic Charities (the ones who contract with the State to handle these things) to appear a couple of years ago. The superiority and arrogance of their ppl was appalling.
Hopefully our State Leg, now that CV and the Special Session has passed, will begin to address it again.
That could affect the many allegedly religious organizations facilitating the invasion, especially the huge
faith-based organizationsfor-profit business enterprises owned by Catholic, Baptist, and Lutheran churches. No doubt synagogues and mosques also are in on the fleece of taxpayer monies.DeSantis has provided a blueprint for other red states to follow. NOW DO IT.
This means illegal aliens will be government sponsored by the federal government, it’s affiliates, contractors, and assigns…a government sanctioned public sector racket. At what point can the state impose sanctions on any persons involved in such activities within the state borders?
Alternatively, how about the state regulate the activity and require state licensing for any person involved, and apply suffocating taxes on business revenues, wages, vehicle transport (in accordance with Biden’s Secretary of Transportation tax scheme), airspace, and other more creative punitive taxes.
Governor DeSantis at 118 seconds: “This is not the right decision to be making, uh, to be facilitating, which is basically an illegal human smuggling operation.”
The entire federal government has abrogated its authority on immigration by not enforcing its own Constitutional responsibility concerning what is now nothing more then an illegal human smuggling operation where the location and status of hundreds of thousands of children aren’t even known.
Where are the other “conservative” governors? De Santis has a way of smoking out the phonies infesting the Republican Party.
I’m going to persuade my elected reps here in TX to persue this brilliant DeSantis legislation for TX. We need a FL-TX alliance on these things.
That might be big enough to bring more states off the fence.
Does NY require the homeless to wear masks?
About time SOMEONE got creative.
If only we had a fighting Governor for US in Georgia. We have been sold out, left to deal with corporations that are behind plandemic, the steal, & creating there on laws. Ignoring state, federal, Hippa laws etc. The same corporation are plotting to terminate US for not being jabbed in January. Merry Christmas!
How about shutting down any business that hires illegals ? First offense -Bam !!!! One year closure in your state . Second offense is a lifetime ban. A few factories large retailers being closed down for not verifying and turning a blind eye to phony documents & I bet it would get real very fast . Contractors are some of the worst and if you take away their license they would get honest real quick. Maybe a few factories owned by Koch bros. getting sold off would get the word out. LOL , I could hear the emergency meetings being held at the Chamber of Commerce to fight this.
The welfare & food stamp programs should require them to be citizens as well . Cut this off and they will self deport.
