A Georgia jury has found all three suspects in the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery guilty of murder. Travis McMichael, Gregory McMichael and William Bryan were all found guilty of murder. Arbery was a black male victim and all three suspects -who claimed to be attempting to make a citizens arrest were white males.
Accusations of racism have propagated the framework of the case and the jury heard evidence that racism was a factor. As with the Rittenhouse verdict, this verdict in Georgia was accurate to the details of the case.

GEORGIA – […] The jury found Travis McMichael, who fatally shot Arbery on Feb. 23, 2020, in a Brunswick, Ga., neighborhood, guilty of all nine counts brought against him, including malice murder.
His father Gregory McMichael, who was with him at the time of the shooting, was found guilty of four counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment and one count of criminal attempt to commit a felony.
William “Roddie” Bryan, who recorded the incident, was found guilty of three counts of felony murder, one count of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment and one count of criminal attempt to commit a felony. (read more)
Unfortunately, this case is again being exploited by a culturally Marxist media and those who promote race as a divisive business model. The verdict against the three men was justified and accurate to the horrific events that culminated in the death of Arbery. However, the exploitation of Arbery’s death to advance the divisive issue of race is destructive and damaging.
In the recent Waukesha, Wisconsin, mass killing and slaughter of people at the Christmas parade, the media went out of their way to deny the motive of race, because the accused driver of the vehicle, Darrell Edward Brooks Jr, was a black male targeting white people. The racial motive was/is intentionally downplayed.
Contrast that purposeful media framework against the media narrative against Kyle Rittenhouse, a situation that had nothing whatsoever to do with race, and then overlay the events around the Arbery case, and it is clear the media has an agenda to promote racism in one direction only.
The New York Post provides one of multiple examples of the double standard that creates toxic division and conflict:

Racism was likely a large part of the motive in the Georgia killing of Ahmaud Arbery, and The New York Post leads with that aspect. However, racism was also likely the motive for Darrell Brooks in Waukesha Wisconsin, and yet the media avoids that entirely.
Race is only used as a promotional hook for the media story when the attacker is white and the victim is black. When the races are reversed, the attacker is black and the victim white, suddenly political correctness dictates the racial dynamic is not safe for public discussion. This type of cultural Marxism only makes racial animosity worse.
It is a very sad state of affairs when social division is beneficial for political and electoral manipulation. Much of this intentional manipulation is what you find when you look into the conduct of the DOJ Community Relations Service (CRS), an agency within the DOJ civil rights division.
When the perpetrator is black and the victim(s) are white – the CRS activates quickly to instruct media and the judiciary system how to handle the racial component; the CRS goal is to downplay race as a motive. However, when the perpetrator is white and the victim(s) black – the CRS activates to support the professional grievance activists who thrive on racism as a business model. By approaching things this way, the DOJ-CRS actually flames racial animosity, the exact opposite of their presumed mission.
All of this is very unsettling… and THAT division is the tool of Marxists, in politics and media.
Justice has failed miserably in this country. BLM Antifa burn loot murder at will almost with impunity. These guys got what they deserved however.
The problem is that there are two standards:
Some are allowed to get away with certain things because the end justifies the means.
Others are not allowed to get away with certain things because the end does not justify the means.
Real justice cannot operate with both, depending on the judge and jury. Both cannot be just.
I agree with the first two sentences. But they were just looking out for their neighborhood. The video shows Arbery attacked Travis, tried to take his gun, and punched him the head twice! What else could Travis do?
The jury rendered the verdict, so its time to move on. Wish the progs could do the same with the Rittenhouse trial.
BINGO
tell it to Sleepy Joe, he hasn’t got the message
Joe Biden Fans Flames, Says Arbery Verdict “Not Enough” to Ensure Equal Justice
Let’s go Brandon and any one who looks like you
How, very conservative. Lets move on. Does the Left ever “Move on”? Nope. they fight like demons, forever. Of course, the Conservative way of never lifting a finger unless absolutely neccessary, is much superior. Unlike the Left we keep winning and winning.
So, lets keep doing that. Winning. By doing nothing. One Right wing victory after another for 40 years.
Correction: One Right wing victory after another for 57+ years.
The modern connedservant is nothing more than a 68’er. Blightwing pensioners. They follow the Left by a few decades and pride themselves on “wanting to be left alone.” That’s why they are “winners.”
Then let’s do something. 912 DC second time around I kept trying to move people to yhe streets to shut down traffic. “No, it’s what the left does” Who now has a plaza named after them in DC?
It will be appealed.
No one should be upset with the Arbery verdict. No one.
I’m upset. It was clearly self-defense. The video shows Arbery run up to Travis and try to take his gun. They struggle, Arbery punches Travis in the head at least twice, then the gun goes off. How is that MURDER?!?!
When you initiate the fight, you don’t get to escalate to deadly force when it goes badly.
For self defense to come into play here, McMichael would have needed to break contact and attempt to flee. If Arbrey chased after him
and attacked then the dynamic flips and Arbrey is the aggressor.
These guys deserve the verdict. Sorry, but the data we have at this point shows the intent.
However, I am a white male supposedly the worst form of life on the planet, according to the left. I declare before all humanity to see I view those around me for who they are not their skin color. So, when I see that I’m supposed to apologize for my innate “white racism” I’m more than offended, I’m angry. Additionally when I see a suppositly “Christian” organization like the Salvation Army declaring that I must admit to my “White Privilege” and racism, whatever crimes that engenders I have a serious problem. Although we have always put something into every bell-ringer pot as we pass by and donated through the mail, I’m not sure that it will happen again. Oh yes, I did look on their website and found their screed on racism in which they declare that just being white means, those of us that are, have a hereditary predestination to being racists. If we have gone this far toward the communist control then we may have no hope for recovery.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/11/salvation-army-wants-white-donors-offer-sincere-apology-racism/
Salvation Army took a hard left about a decade ago. Stop donating.
^ This.
After they bowed to the sodomites they were openly declaring that they were no longer a truly Christian organization.
Though they still did well to feed the hungry.
“Like”
For some reason, since the site maintenance I am unable to “like”
Similar problem here. Sometimes the ‘like’ button works after multiple tries; other times not at all. I am able to post and reply without any issue.
Thank you for the reply. Nice to know I’m not alone!
It is taking longer for my posts also, but at least they’re posting. Happy Thanksgiving!
Me, too.
When that happens to me, I expand the screen to make the “like” button bigger and then it works.
Same here.
Sorry I worked the food lines and food give away’s RELIGIOUSLY, most are more than capable of feeding themselves and families. Most are also black getting handouts so the cash they have is used on shoes, drugs, black bs crap.
Also went into the housing projects to do food handouts while giving sermons. Black men white overweight women asking for free stuff.
Had to bring my three sons into a house to use the bathroom once, just once. Filth, kids and babies left unattended. Filth is not a part of poverty, it’s personal. Leaving kids in it unattended is personal. The only guilt was from the occupants not the white people tricked into the racket.
I lived in a housing project growing up, my mother told me not to enter another family’s house. One day I did, mice, roaches filth. We lived next door to them and I am forever in our cats debt we brought. We had no mice or roaches and my mother kept the place clean.
The guilt is on their side not ours remember that. And it drives them insane.
Once you embrace your faults you pull all power from them.
Even being black or white If you find it a fault embrace it and you will see clearly. Otherwise, as we see it’s a lie.
Agree palerider. Saw enough of it. I will help those who I see are in need, but the rest of “organized giving” we stopped years ago.
I recall a local news story about the local police department Blue Santa program for poor children. A nicely dressed black woman interviewed explains she signs up in the spring to make sure her kids will get presents for Christmas.
I thought, “What?! How did she know in May she wouldn’t be able to buy presents for her children 7 months from now?!”
Then it dawned on me she doesn’t even try. She just counts on the generosity of suckers.
I never gave to Blue Santa ever again.
I should add she wasn’t even grateful and didn’t say thank you to the police department or the donors. She simply felt entitled to get handouts.
Same here. Not another nickel from my pocket goes to the Salvation Army. Too bad, too. It was one of my favorite charities.
They can take their Bell Ringer to the Ghetto. Lets see how they do without WHITEY.
I didn’t know that. Thanks to the input from you and “old school” I will never donate to them again. I will try to let them understand/know why, via an e-letter.
I saw this, no kettle donation this year for me either.
We did not give them a lot of money, but we did haul in cars full of stuff that we no loner needed. We started after Goodwill rebranded from non-profit to profit. Sometimes we give the stuff to Re-Store, part of Habitat for Humanity. They are lefty but they use the money to buy good housing and make the recipients work a bit. We tried a church charity and found that the members were getting first dibs on stuff and selling on eBay or just using it. Some churches don’t want anything but new stuff or cash.
I guess we can just put it out with the trash if we don’t want it.
Why do we have so much stuff you might ask? I am an eBay seller. Part of what I do results in me buying large lots of mixed merchandise at auction with a percentage that I do not want or need. We give it to charity. Or try to.
That happened to us! I donated very nice baby furniture and the women workers took it. Another church charity shop dibbed the toys that I gave specifically for the less advantaged neighborhood kids. No good deed goes unpunished.
I wanna see a recent photo of the “jogger” not the one when he was 14 years old.
It’s heavily edited but the crux of the matter is obvious. They didn’t have to shoot him. He wasn’t a threat to anybody.
See now I just watched this, and it looks like Arbury is going after him and trying to grab at him.
Is there a better video then?
better for who?
oh – you probably meant better ‘quality’
Yes, a longer video or something. Sunshine says it’s heavily edited.
When this event first hit the news the videos and “facts” were all so corrupted and biased in all directions that I gave up trying to sort most of it out. The only thing that was clear to me was that Mr. Arbury was not just out for a jog, he was in a house under construction, the house had a front door that I did not see him try to enter through, it had an attached garage that he went into and came out of, then he went around to the back to later come running out the front door as if he knew he had been spotted. There was video of him inside the house. All of that indicates to me that there was an effort to keep uninvited people out of the house, and he somehow missed that message and went in anyway.
This is not to say he was guilty of anything other than bad judgment. Likewise his unwillingness to just stay and wait to talk when caught, and his unwillingness to stop to answer to guys with guns in a truck is not evidence of guilt.
The video (in some versions) appears to show him charge at the gunman, or grab for the gun.
There appears to have been many opportunities for all involved to make other choices. This turned out badly for all of those involved. The one fact I am certain of is that the concerted efforts of those in charge of the “justice system” to allow crime to rage wild created this situation which otherwise would most likely not have occurred. Not because any of these 4 men are certainly guilty of anything in my mind, but because the clear absence of law and order which the authorities refused to deliver left mostly bad options for the citizens.
Armed Robbery, err, Ahmaud Arbury punches the retired sheriff in the head while grabbing the shotgun barrel and pulling. Thats when the shotgun went off.
It’s all on video. Look it up. It was pure self defense.
Yeah that is what I saw and I don’t get as I read previous comments here saying “they got what they deserve!” What a bunch of BS! The statements from their defense team was sickening to watch as it seemed they went full “CUCK” and played for the cameras.
They were following him in two vehicles for at least five minutes. So, I figure he panicked when the first guy approached him with the rifle while the father of the first guy was standing in the back of the truck with a rifle also and another truck behind them. That was their big mistake aka stalking.
Until he was
Sunshine, been reading you for several years, but I believe you’ve ‘dropped the ball’ on this one. The ambiguous Georgia law that covers Citizen’s Arrest, and the faulty instructions given by the judge to the jury, will one day overturn this conviction, and if not It Should. The author at legal insurrection explains better.
https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/11/arbery-case-trial-judge-walmsley-drops-the-ball-on-ambiguous-citizens-arrest-law/
@Barry Odinga
Found the racist.
Like Kyle Rittenhouse, Arbery was an innocent victim being hunted by violent thugs. The difference is Arbery had no gun to effectively defend himself.
Real conservatives should cheer Arbery’s killers going to jail as much as they cheered Kyle being found not guilty.
Except Arbery was in the act of a crime, and they clearly had no intention of harming Arbery until he attacked. Why would they call the cops if they planned to harm him?
Someone posted this video on the previous page of a prior incident. It looks like profiling to me but some have posted here this guy had a record of going around into people’s houses and such, too. I couldn’t tell you if he was caught selling drugs before. Strange outfit he has on, heavy coat, no shirt.
WOW!
Biden, his administration and media on Waukesha, crickets.
Biden simply says what hes told to say. His handlers however want waukesha to go away quickly as it hampers narrative construction. The honest Marxists among them at least admit it was racially driven if however as a revenge crime not a hate crime.
Thanks Sundance. This is the accurate take. I get frustrated discussing these cases with people because every single “BLM” killing is different: some are indefensible. Some race may have played a motive. Some (many) simply come down to the suspects unwillingness to cooperate and obey orders. Some are WHOLLY justified. Some are gray area cases. But each one has to be looked at on its own merit. Chauvin should have gotten his knee off Floyd. But, in all likelyhood, he didn’t kill him and shouldn’t be in prison, much less for 23 years. Rittenhouse was a good citizen, entirely justified in killing the criminal barbarians who attacked him. Arbery wasn’t a saint, but he did NOTHING to merit being chased down at gunpoint by fat hicks.
Both cases were rightly decided.
I’ll give you credit for at least trying to be fair!
You sound like somebody not going off the rails, but trying to discern both sides.
Careful, how do you know, “fat hicks”
I think Chauvin should have gotten negligent homicide. Floyd was saying all along in the whole video, not the edited, that he couldn’t breathe even when he was standing up and no one touching him or sitting in the back of a cruiser. He was overdosing.
I saw another video somewhere that looked like his knee was right next to his neck, not on the neck. But I do recall that the neck procedure was in their police procedure manual.
However, I think he should have assessed his condition when he became unresponsive. That is where I find him negligent. It didn’t look like anyone really assessed him.
That was my take as well. Wrongful death civil suit, fire Chauvin. But I didn’t see anything to warrant a murder charge. Not with resisting arrest on a bad heart and a bloodstream full of fentanyl.
“Fat hicks.” – Virtue signaling piece of scum, you are.
Fat hicks? As opposed to svelte city slickers ?
George Floyd died of a heart attack induced by a fentanyl overdose. He took the drugs to hide them from the police. The original autopsy said as much but was changed, under pressure from DC, to imply he died from Chauvin’s then lawful restraint.
It is amazing how violent felons become saints when they die because of their own bad decisions.
These men did not commit murder.
They observed Arbery trespassing. They confronted him while he was still in the property. They followed him after he fled eventually passing him and exiting the vehicle.
Arbery was already past Travis McMichael when he turned and ran back to attack an armed man. He was shot in the process and died.
Even without the citizens arrest law open carry is legal in GA. Talking to someone while you open carry is legal in GA.
I agree that their choices were poor but they don’t constitute murder.
Further, the only criminal acts in this incident were the trespassing of Mr. Arbery and his subsequent assault of Travis McMichael.
So, where did Arbery live and where was his car? People don’t normally drive to strange neighborhoods to go jogging.
That said, seeing a stranger in the neighborhood and responding by grabbing your guns and loading up the pickup truck seems a bit extreme even if some burglaries have occurred in the local area. Lack of wisdom exhibited by all parties involved.
They didn’t grab their guns because a stranger showed up in their neighborhood.
Arbery was seen on video walking in boots prior to his entering a house under construction.
The McMichaels saw him enter the house and called 911. They followed Mr. Arbery after he fled the home, but there was a legitimate predicate for confronting Mr. Arbery.
Testimony was given that the police told the community to be on a lookout for Arbery and that the police thought he was armed.
The neighborhood had been plagued by crime, including burglary. Arbery had been seen more than once at the home site where he was finally confronted. Needless to say, property was missing the next morning after his night visits.
He was no jogger. As an experienced Marathoner with 24 marathons to my credit, including three Boston qualifications, I can say that nobody jogs with long toenails or in boots. The jogger myth was leftist misdirection. As I understand it, Arbery was shot at close range after he turned and rushed at the defendant holding the shot gun.
I followed Branca’s coverage on Legal Insurrection. He was correct on Rittenhouse and he expected a not guilty verdict here.
I totally agree with your take on this. Yes these men choose poorly and used bad judgement on how they pursued Arbery. At that point they should have just alerted authorities when they had the chance and had they this would have never happened. In a hyperbolic world of Sensationalism of BLM narratives being propagated on news networks, its hard to imagine that such perceived justice in order to appease the SJW mobs and score points for the political Marxists is going to have a healing affect when it comes to race. If anything this case along with the Chauvin trial and verdict is going to further the divide where mistrust will be even greater especially among whites.
“Racism was likely a large part of the motive in the Georgia killing of Ahmaud Arbery, and The New York Post leads with that aspect”
I have yet to see any substantial evidence for this claim. The media and DA originally claimed the McMichaels stood over Aubury’s body and said the n-word. But this never happened… there was no evidence for it, and it was never brought up at trial.
During the trial, the only evidence given by the prosecution for a racial motive was that the McMichaels identified that they were chasing ‘a black man’ in the 911 call.
Besides this single fact, what other evidence was introduced at trial for a racial motive?
(Not to mention that Aubury was a career criminal who had previously posed as a ‘jogger’ during prior burglaries)
I’m from the low country of Georgia…. near Brunswick….everyone here that I’ve spoken to, white and black, think these guys were wrong and probably wouldn’t have done the same to a white ‘Armaud’.
What many don’t understand, is that most southerners aren’t racist, we are mixed up completely societally & racially, there are as many black people as there are white people.
We talk about race and discuss these events…. I find most other parts of the country are not racially mixed…the less mixed, the more racist the whites are….although they think they aren’t racist because they virtue signal….but their kids never have a black friend or associate with any black kids, the family has no black family friends, etc…. They know NO black people.
Common sense is no longer common. Hearing a celebrity athlete speaking truth is refreshing.
It hasn’t been common for a long time. Will Rogers (who died in 1935) said, “Common sense ain’t common.”
That was the truth. Good for him.
He need to pull LeBron aside and have a word.
But Biden says the guilty verdicts are not enough we need social justice.. I wonder what is enough, Joe… I doubt anything…
MSM is fooling no one with common sense about their bias.
You would have to be blind to see how one sided the media is. I saw this video but did not follow it closely because I thought it was terrible what these people did to that guy. It is a fact that the media is an extension of the democrat party and promotes only what the party wants them to promote.
I would never watch main stream media to get the facts or the truth about anything. Such a shame how far they have set America back ,and now that they have communist of all walks of life in positions of power ,who want nothing more than the collapse of this country so they can institute their own brand of communism. I fear they may have got to the point where it is damn near impossible to ever get rid of them because they have spent so much time (God knows how many decades) putting moles in place to sabotage anyone who tries to stop the Cancer they have bought to this country.
They have brainwashed at least one generation and trained them to hate the America that has done so much good. Lifted more people out of poverty than any other country. As they have damaged this country people from countries around the world would not nothing more than to live here . They see what damage communist have done in their own countries I would guess.
This case has been punted and the way the judge instructed the jury (or lack of) will likely result in an appeal. The judge could have done this but didn’t. Check out William Jacobson’s discussion regarding the lack of instruction regarding the written law (2 statements) regarding this issue. Perhaps this case will get that sorted out. And I’m not a fan of using the law to escape what is reported to have happened in this case.
I did not watch the trial as a caveat but the narrative is at it’s worst he was a burglar, please correct me if I am wrong (legit I didn’t watch it) how can you justify shooting him?
He ran toward McMichael and tried to take his gun using physical force. At that point, someone was going to die. Why was McMichael obligated to die at that point. To me, that is the seminal moment in this case. It all revolves around that and all else that led up to it is just distraction. Lots of stupid on both sides, but kill or be killed is a moment of self defense according to my legal studies. All else is extraneous emotional manipulation by the prosecutors and media.
I don’t see how Arbury’s going after the guy with the gun much different from what happened to Kyle.
I saw the video posted above. I don’t know if there’s a better video.
Pinochet, they chased him with their vehicles. The McMichaels admitted to the police to trying to “box him in” with their truck. Bryan followed/chased him for a mile around the loop with his vehicle. He chased him right into the awaiting McMichaels, the driver who got out of his vehicle with a shotgun.
They had NOT witnessed a crime, so the citizens arrest defense was not in play.
They chased him while making it verbally known their intent to have the police come and deal with the situation. He was never threatened with harm only confronted and while an attempt was being made to keep him in place for the police to arrive. I’m not asserting a citizens arrest defense but the complete defense to murder of defense of ones own life. When Arbery charged McMichael regardless of anything else that happened to that point, it became a very clear situation. When all the extraneous nonsense about what was fair or right or wrong or stupid or justified is removed, Arbery attacked and to any reasonable person intended to kill McMichael. I seriously doubt any sane jury would find that attempting to prevent the escape of a criminal in the act of a crime is sufficient provocation for attack. At least not without injecting the false tropes and emotions of racism and hate.
That’s where I’m at. Maybe there should be a debate on neighborhood patrolling (aka Zimmerman) and trying to detain him until police arrive, but I’m at the point where you are.
Arbury was going on the attack on the guy with the gun. Not too smart.
Now if it was reversed, and McMichael was going after Arbury with the gun and somehow Arbury got a hold of the gun and shot McMichael with it, that is self defense also.
“They had NOT witnessed a crime, so the citizens arrest defense was not in play.”
You fell for the prosecution’s trap!
It is not necessary to witness a felony to effectuate a citizen’s arrest. The only requirement is “reasonable suspicion.”
The DA’s in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial were arguing provocation in their closing which would have ruled out Kyle’s claim of self defense. The jury didn’t buy that argument. Not sure of GA laws, but maybe they are the same as Wisconsin in that regard- Meaning, if you are the provocateur you lose your right to claim self defense.
I agree with this being the salient issue in the case. Provocation or self defense. I think it’s clearly self defense and that this did not rise to the level of provocation of an attack.
No one ‘justified’ shooting him because he was a (suspected) burglar
You’ve set up a glaring straw man there
They confronted him for citizens arrest because he was a (suspected) burglar; he’d been recorded on security camera trespassing in a home under construction, one interpretation was he was ‘casing’ the property; I think there had been thefts from other homes under construction in the area
There was a struggle and it’s alleged the victim was advancing on the shooter with fists, shooter feared his gun would be taken away in a struggle (don’t know the precise details, haven’t followed the case more than superficially)
That’s not a straw man in a court of law that’s narrowing the issue. Are you saying Arbery was provoked to attack? Because that’s a legal position. That they pissed him off and were wrong in Your opinion is not a valid legal argument.
Sorry nimrodman I Poorly read your reply before I responded. You and I agree wholeheartedly
thx, Planner
yes, I was specifically focusing on your contention “how could they justify shooting him” if “at it’s worst he was a burglar”
and I explained that no one “justified shooting him” so that’s a straw man or red herring
the shooting emerged out of a physical struggle the victim apparently initiated from a prior state of standoff
Absolutely correct.
Note to self:
Next time me and my buddies go out to exact a Citizens’ Arrest …
… don’t have the third guy in the caravan shoot video
I reckon
Song by Greg Brown about some drunk flyover-country boys who take a boat out on the Mississippi late night after the tavern and get capsized and drown. Last verse:

River Will Take You
Question: Some have claimed the jury verdict in the above case was justified.
So, you are in your home and you observe a person you know does not belong anywhere around your neighbors house or property and you see them looking around and then going behind your neighbor’s home and then reemerge.
You call 911 and report a suspicious person and are told the cops are on the way. Meanwhile, this stranger begins to walk away. A you come out of your house, the person looks back at you and picks up the pace like jogging or running.
You jump in your car and head down the street to keep an eye on the person until the cops arrive, but every time the stranger looks back at you, he changes direction and crosses into other yards and onto other streets.
You drive up and approach the stranger and tell him to stop because you have called the police. The stranger ignores you and despite your efforts to tell him to stop and wait, he continues to run away.
You emerge from your vehicle, and because you don’t know if the stranger is armed, you brought your own gun. You tell the stranger again to stop and wait because the police have been called.
At that time, the stranger stops and approaches you. He can see you own gun and you tell him to stop, back up, and stay put because the cops will be here in just a few minutes.
Suddenly, the stranger quickly moves on you and pushes and shoves you hard and attempts to grab your firearm. The stranger is younger and stronger than you are and you are afraid if the stranger gets your gun, he will use it on you. During the struggle, your gun is fired and the stranger falls back.
A moment or two later, the police arrive. Is it self-defense or is it murder?
Exactly. The verdict is not only wrong, it is egregiously so. McMichael clearly showed no intention of using the gun, but Arbery forced the issue. Kill or be killed. Self defense and an easy choice for a sane man to make.
From the video incident posted above, which only comprises of Arbury going after the armed person, I don’t understand the verdict either.
They are found guilty of murder, including the guy who filmed it, due to trying to stop a burglar, I guess, not for the self defense aspect.
This is what the Left wanted Rittenhouse to hang on. He was patrolling to stop crime and possibly help people who get hurt.
Rayciss, rayciss! Lets burn down Atlanta- said no thinking American anywhere.
It’s alright, I mean Jessica Chambers’ killer was brought to justice, correct? Also Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman, their killer was given his due, right ?! David Dorn… his killer is locked up right???? Reginald Denny’s assailant was hauled into court right? Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, burned alive and thrown into a vat of bleach, they found justice in the afterlife. Tell me justice has prevailed there.
Probably not many here aware of the Channon Christian and Chris Newsom case in Knoxville, TN. It was horrendous. As I recall, all cases had to be retried because of trial judge misconduct. The victims were white.
I’ll never forget it. Those perps were pure evil and their faces even showed it.
I’ll never forget young Channon and Chris. Nor will I forget the Wichita massacre:
http://www.forgottenvictims.com/Wichita.htm
Genocide. Today’s verdict underscores this reality. Their families might as well be sterilized
I beg to differ. I live in this area. The “jogger” was a known perp with mental issues and history of burglary in area. Cops quit policing because jail wouldn’t hold him. Desired outcome achieved. Unfortunately folks were having to take law into their own hands.
Wikipedia entry on Charlottesville says “terrorist car attack”

And besides, like those Obama and Biden drone strikes…whats a few dead kids, collateral damage of the War on Your Evil Enemies, amiright?
Here’s another brain trust. Drove into a bunch of cyclists while trying to blow exhaust on them.
Charges filed against teen who a witness says hurt six bicyclists while trying to ‘roll coal’

is there potential race motive in this incident?
If that vile sub-human filth had wrested the shot gun from the White citizen I an certain there would have been two, possibly three, dead Whites at the scene. And there would have been very minimal media attention and then only at the local level.
The Negroes celebrating the verdict likely lack the mentality to realize that this injustice has increased the hatred of the Negro infestation to an even higher level.
If there is a higher power, a Creator being, I ask forgiveness for my feelings and thoughts that I wish every Negro infecting the USA was gone . . . even of it requires all of the filth to die.
If the general White populace behaved as so MANY Negroes do there would be massive rioting and many felonies being committed across the USA and Negroes would be taking shelter as the angered White and assuredly Hispanic and Asian cohorts wrought their righteous anger upon a sub-species that commits atrocities FAR BEYOND their percentage of the populace.
If the Negro sub-species became extinct it would be a boon for humanity planet-wide. I believe that research is ongoing to create a mutant virus that attaches only to the Negro genome. If successful the effect will either be permanent sterility for both genders or a 100% fatality rate will result in a sooner extinction event.
In the meantime, it is sound advice to all civilized people to avoid the feral, fetid dangerous Negro as much as possible.
“The verdict against the three men was justified and accurate to the horrific events that culminated in the death of Arbery.”
I strongly dissent from this verdict.
The McMichaels were well within the law in making a citizen’s arrest against Ahmaud Arbery.
The prosecution conflated the law’s separate and distinct requirements for misdemeanor and felony arrest. The judge failed to interpret the law as written and assigned its interpretation to the jury!?
Justice would be served by appealing the convictions and remanding the case back to a lower court judge who will inform the jury as to the law’s precise meaning.
“In the recent Waukesha, Wisconsin, mass killing and slaughter of people at the Christmas parade, the media went out of their way to deny the motive of race, because the accused driver of the vehicle, Darrell Edward Brooks Jr, was a black male targeting white people. The racial motive was/is intentionally downplayed.”
I’m not so sure that Brooks was targeting whites as opposed to blacks. He was going so fast and the victims all had on coats and hats, and were hit from the back, so he couldn’t identify victims by race, could He? Wasn’t he “running” from another domestic violence crime he had just committed?
I don’t think there’s a definitive answer to whether or not he could identify races unless there’s video evidence I haven’t seen. I don’t know about the makeup of Waukesha or whether this had the distinction of being an event for only or mostly people of one race. But I do know the fleeing of a knife fight story was entirely debunked by the local police. So one conclusion is actually unknown while the other is absolutely incorrect. It’s a nice accommodating idea you’ve extended to a mass murderer though.
that seems harsh. The observation by Nan is legitimate, this killer didn’t necessarily have any target in mind. It’s at least a fair likelihood that this murderous cockroach is so self-absorbed and completely devoid of any morality that he simply doesn’t even consider for a moment that anyone matters but him. Allowing him to admit that he didn’t have any reason whatever other than pure narcissism is not much of a legal defense.
Yep I should’ve left that off and I thought it at the time. I’ve seen nan’s posts before and I agree with her as often as people who contract covid survive (at least 99.3% of the time). I shouldn’t have added that. I’ll do better and yes I’m very serious.
Sorry Nan. My earlier comment was over the top. Hat tip to The Shadow Knows for pointing that out.
I’m surprised everyone, including Sundance, agrees with the verdict. Sundance even says that “racism was likely the motive” in the killing of Arbery. If I didn’t know better, I’d think I was reading an article from the NYT. WTF?
Arbery had been caught on video four times (three of them at night) in the previous month or so. It was entirely reasonable to think that he might be the person stealing from that property. The three men decided to follow him not because he was black, but because HE WAS THE GUY ON THE VIDEO! And he was the guy sprinting from that very same house five minutes earlier.
Are we supposed to ignore the reality that Ahmaud Arbery was probably up to no good? He wasn’t a jogger! He was scoping out the property to see if there was anything worth stealing. At least, I’d say the evidence for that far outweighs the evidence that he was jogging.
Finally, the video shows Arbery run TOWARD the McMichaels for about 100 feet, then he swerves around the truck, runs up to Travis, grabs his gun and attempts to take it from him, they struggle, Arbery punches Travis in the face at least twice, then, finally, Travis pulls the trigger.
That is NOT murder. It is self-defense.
Amen
What part of “do not testify” do defendants not get…
Lousy defense lawyers lousy advice…
The entire judicial system, including the criminal defense bar, is at its lowest point in my lifetime, maybe in the history of the world.
ICYMI – FYI – WTF — Trust No One — ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ —
Due Process of Law… and that process was horrifically mutilated in this trial…
.
Sure. Lunging for the shot gun held by a man is tantamount to suicide. Arbery brought on his own death. The verdict is as unjust as the trial of Rittenhouse.
