The enthusiastic Energy Secretary read the script, gave her talking points and then took questions.
However, after spending 15 minutes talking about the strategic brilliance of the 50 million barrel release, one of the stenographers accidentally asked: “that said, how many barrels of oil do U.S. consumers use every day?”… Granholm paused, looked down and said: “I don’t have that number in front of me, I’m sorry“… WATCH:

If I understand it, the strategic petroleum reserve is petroleum product paid with our tax dollars. Biden wants to use 50 million barrels to alleviate the price at the pump. How is the cost of the barrels factored into the reduction of gasoline cost per gallon? How are the “market” factors taken into the cost? Oil produce by US producers, OPEC oil, China oil, Russia oil, etc. What is daily gasoline use in US? I cannot see this impacting price reduction.
