The enthusiastic Energy Secretary read the script, gave her talking points and then took questions.
However, after spending 15 minutes talking about the strategic brilliance of the 50 million barrel release, one of the stenographers accidentally asked: “that said, how many barrels of oil do U.S. consumers use every day?”… Granholm paused, looked down and said: “I don’t have that number in front of me, I’m sorry“… WATCH:

I recall that Toyota testified to Congress we don’t have the grid or power generation to make every car electric. Think about, there is a theme of centralization in energy just like microchip production. They are centralizing in green energy because they get rich off of green energy. You’re right. It is actually worse than you can imagine. US Transportation energy equivalent is 921 GW every hour of the day, 24/7/365 on average. US Generation capacity is 1200 GW total, all sources. But about 200 GW of that is out of service for maintenance or is held in reserve for emergency use. So transportation is the equivalent of some 90% of available generation capacity. If you want to charge all those vehicles in 8 hours, you’d need to quadruple the capacity of the grid generation and distribution. (1000 GW for what we use now + 3000 GW to charge all the EVs in 8 hrs ) . It has taken 120 years to get the grid we have now. What makes anyone think you can triple that in a decade of two? Even if the US went for 100% nuclear, the only place to get the ring forgings for the pressure vessels is Japan Steel Works. They can only make 1 / month. Each forging is for a 1 GW steam generator unit. We’d need all the forgings for the next 300 years to meet only the US needs to meet their Green goals. Ain’t gonna happen. Transmission lines cost $2M – $4M / mile and take a decade from planning to completion to happen just for a 100 mile section, much less upgrading 400,000 miles of line existing.. These people are so ignorant it hurts.

We already purchased the barrels of oil at low prices to store in the reserves ( your Tax dollars) not theirs BTW, and using the reserves that need to be refined into gas is more of (your tax dollars) not theirs BTW so they can sell it back to you that your tax dollars already paid for to begin with.
