Former President Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon appeared in court today on ridiculous misdemeanor criminal charges arising from his defiance of a political inquiry from the congressional Jan 6 committee. Following his court appearance Steve Bannon spoke to the media.

I’m more afraid of those who speak well in front of cameras they are often to comfortable and usually corrupt, slimy and untrustworthy.

Imagine if Trump had asked Barr to arrest his opposition:

Even if he loses his case, by the time this works its way through court, there won’t be a January 6th commission to testify before. Republicans will dissolve the commission before Bannon ever gets forced to appear. Meanwhile, Bannon can enjoy discovery.
