The New York Times needed to put four of their top Trump-Russia narrative engineers on a defensive story about John Durham possibly indicting Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussmann over his involvement in pushing the Trump-Russia fraud to the FBI on behalf of Hillary Clinton.
Michael Sussmann was one of the primary story-tellers used by The New York Times as a source to write articles about the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory. Durham might indict Sussmann for lying to the FBI, because Sussmann said he wasn’t working for Hillary Clinton, yet Sussmann billed Hillary Clinton for the hours he spent pushing the Trump-Russia story.
Yeah, that might be a problem.
The wording of The Times story is rather humorous in their collective effort to retain credibility and yet draw some distance from their ally now under scrutiny. Keep in mind, as you read this paragraph, Sussmann hired Crowdstrike, the cyber security firm who claimed the DNC was hacked by Russians and generated the Alfa bank conspiracy theory:
(NYT) […] Donald J. Trump and his supporters have long accused Democrats and Perkins Coie — whose political law group, a division separate from Mr. Sussmann’s, represented the party and the Hillary Clinton campaign — of seeking to stoke unfair suspicions about Mr. Trump’s purported ties to Russia.
This next paragraph is even more funny:
[…] Some of the questions that Mr. Durham’s team has been asking in recent months — including of witnesses it subpoenaed before a grand jury, according to people familiar with some of the sessions — suggest he has been pursuing a theory that the Clinton campaign used Perkins Coie to submit dubious information to the F.B.I. about Russia and Mr. Trump in an effort to gin up investigative activity to hurt his 2016 campaign. A “theory”? Too funny. No, there is actual evidence this is exactly what happened. It’s not even debatable at this point. A “theory”? Good grief.
2018 testimony from former FBI legal counsel James Baker revealed that Michael Susmann, representing the Clinton team, was feeding information to the FBI for use against the trump campaign.
In March and April 2016, around the same time when NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers was shutting down “contractor access” to FBI and NSA databases [an effort to stop the frequent FISA-702(16)(17) search abuses that were taking place], Michael Sussmann met with FBI Legal Counsel James Baker – Global Privacy Summit, April 5th, 2016.
With his former DOJ national security credentials, Michael Sussmann integrated himself with the DNC’s cyber security team; and following the DNC intrusion (aka Seth Rich), Sussmann introduced the DNC to CrowdStrike. The DNC goal was to identify the extent of the compromise. Crowdstrike then helped the DNC hide the fact that Seth Rich was the extractor of the information -which Rich then gave to Wikileaks- and Crowdstrike then helped establish the narrative about the DNC being hacked.
Someone, likely from the Clinton camp, then killed Seth Rich.

The Clinton team hired Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on Trump, package it as a dossier, and deliver it to the FBI for exploitation.
Fusion GPS is a political research firm and network of political operatives who sell their mercenary services to anyone willing to pay. Fusion has resources inside and outside government and the capability to exploit FBI and NSA databases containing information about U.S. citizens. Fusion then uses a secondary network of media outlets who they pay to write articles shaped for their purposes. Fusion GPS is operated by Glenn Simpson.
In April 2016, at the same time NSA Director Mike Rogers was shutting down contractor access to the FBI/NSA database; and at the same time FBI legal counsel was meeting with Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussmann; Hillary Clinton -through Perkins Coie- hired Fusion GPS to target her presidential campaign opponent, Donald Trump.
Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson then assigned Russian expert and CIA research analyst Nellie Ohr to the Trump project. At the time Nellie Ohr’s husband, Bruce Ohr, was the #4 ranking official inside the DOJ National Security Division. Simultaneous to Nellie Ohr’s assignment, Fusion GPS also sub-contracted with Christopher Steele for additional material and internal collaboration with Mrs. Ohr.
Glenn Simpson, Nellie and Bruce Ohr then worked with Christopher Steele on the “Steele Dossier” and the promotion of the content therein to media and FBI allies. We now know that in addition to FusionGPS, Chris Steele, Nellie Ohr (via Bruce Ohr), providing information to the FBI; there was Michael Sussmann representing the DNC also providing information into the FBI for the same purposes.
The FBI, through Peter Strzok and the Crossfire Hurricane team, then closed the loop on the ‘wrap up smear’ by exploiting the information within “the Dossier” to gain a Title-1 FISA surveillance warrant on the presidential campaign of Donald Trump.
Hiding all of that political surveillance and collusion between the Clinton campaign and the FBI was what made the Trump-Russia story so important; and specifically why they needed to put Special Counsel Robert Muller into place to cover all the background activity.
Sussman retained FGPS and Steele.
Sussman told Steele about the Alfa Bank/Trump connection (false).
Sussman is absolutely at the heart of the Russia Hoax.

Sussman received the information about the Alfa bank server allegedly pinging a Trump server, from a client at P-C, who was not the DNC. Sussman gave this info to Baker at the FBI.

We did not get anything prosecuted with teeth when Barr was Attorney General. Something tells me Merrick Garland will not care to prosecute either. Still, we can hope.
We had hope with Barr and were sorely disappointed. There is no hope for justice under Garland. None. When you look at your list it has to be pointed out that number 3 the Anwan Brothers played the biggest roll in what has transpired in DC. Two weeks before their case was set for trial and discovery their attorneys submitted a list or the members of congress they were going to subpoena for their defense. This sent shock waves through DC as members of congress all thought they were exempt and untouchable. They found out they were not and started the back office negotiations that led to the Anwon bro’s getting a firm slap on the wrist and set back home with all the wealth they stole from US tax payers. From this point on the same playbook has been followed and you will notice that not ever has a single guilty member of congress had to give testimony or be deposed on anything they are neck deep in. They have been able to extend their floor exemptions out in to the federal justice system and are even more untouchable than ever. We are living the end of the greatest experiment in history ! We know that Durham HASN’T indicted any of the anti-Trump coup conspirators in the FBI, DOJ, CIA, DoS, or any of the guilty contractors who worked for or with those agencies / departments.
We know that Durham HASN’T indicted the Senate Security Officer who leaked classified FISA information to the NYT and was caught dead to rights. We know that he hasn’t indicted anyone in the FBI who conspired to level false charges against General Mike Flynn and provide false information about Flynn to Mike Pence.
These are just the tip of the iceberg. See Bogeyfree’s list above for a more comprehensive list of what has NOT been done and left uninvestigated or at least unpunished, despite the obvious crimes demanding justice.
Every crime we have witnessed and that Sundance has clearly documented since 2016 has gone unresolved in that the perpetrators have not been punished as would any of us had we committed the same crimes. Yet Durham was allegedly investigating all of this.
IMHO, Durham is a deliberate distraction. Look! Squirrel! The real crime is the theft of our nation out fr0m under our feet via the Fourth Branch, massive DC corruption, and the recent massively fraudulent elections.
Accept the following simplification. This has been a monumental factional struggle and remains exactly that. Pre Obama, the Clinton and Bush factions were think as thieves in flipping back and forth. The Obama faction displaced Clinton in 2008, buying obedience from the Bush faction by protecting them from any reckoning whatsoever for their eight years of malefactions.
Per the Tea Party template, destroying candidate Trump and what was to become MAGA united the three Uniparty factions. Obama et. al. would get the safe as kittens protection that the Bush gang got, along with power slots for faction members like the Clinton gang did from Obama. Uniparty Republicans got control of their controlled-opposition party, with a promised “never to rise again” united effort against Trump and MAGA.
Anyone still doubting the conceptual framework of the Uniparty must be woefully ignorant of the rock solid alliance between the Bush and Obama factions throughout Obama’s eight years. It served the interests of both to keep Hillary on a leash to see what the contours of 2016 would look like.
I know that seems off topic when it comes to Durham but bear with me. Once they failed to stop Trump from taking the oath, for fours years this joint factional effort failed in its principal unifying objective — destroying Trump and MAGA. Durham’s original appointment signaled that the Bush faction needed some additional leverage and a control point vis-à-vis the others. I don’t think it’s coincidental that Bush used his 9/11 speech to endorse the other two factions J6 narrative just as it’s stick a fork in it dead to anyone who knows how to fog a mirror. If you’re going to signal effectively — as in be believed — you gotta pay the price like a gang initiation murder.
While it may seem in the most depressing fashion that it’s all unfolding according to the malefactors plan, any informed and honest observer concluded long ago that if what they have wrought over the last five plus years is a plan then the joke is on all of us including them.

James Bovard has written superb books clearly revealing the farce since the mid-1990s when I discovered his work, Peter Schweizer more recently.

Seems to me that leaks like this are just a “heads up” for the narrative engineers to start spinning. I find it unlikely that this lawyer is in any actual danger of being indicted. It’s like Clinesmith: you can falsify a FISA warrant and bring it before a judge and neither the judge nor the DOJ has any problem with it. Lying to the FBI, if you’re on Team Blue, is simply expected.

This is going to get to Fiona Hill in a skinny minute. She introduced Christopher Steele to the Primary Source of the Dossier who was Igor Danchenko. Igor Danchenko was the “Russian Source” of the Dossier that worked for Orbis (Steele) and the Brookings Institute (Fiona Hill).

This was the meeting where Steele fed the Ohrs false information about Alfa Bank/Trump Campaign, and the day before Sussamn had fed Steele the false Alfa bank connection to Trump Campaign. Neither Ohr could remember the name of this younger man. Danchenko is /was 41 at the time.
Alfa banked sued Steele unsuccessfully but a lot of info came into the public realm. I hope the 4th person at the Ohr meeting is part of that info.
Remember, former Obama acting CIA director Michael Morrell was a member of Belfer Center at Harvard starting in 2013 but quit when the lame Kennedy School/ International Inst. of Politics had announced that they were going to grant traitor Private Brat Manning a visiting fellow post in 2017.
Back before they knew who was paying the bills (Hillary Clinton), Vanity Fair was deeply in love with Christopher Steele. It’s amazing how long we’ve known about this fraud. And this anonymous grand jury will let Sussman off, and give Durham and Garland the excuse they want to close the book and ignore everything else. Like Hillary’s server and the 2020 election theft, there was never enough credible evidence to convince a “reasonable prosecutor,” or a grand jury, or all the judges who dismissed election cases.
