Last year President Trump advocated for Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and Azithromycin (AZM), two readily available drugs, in the treatment of COVID patients who worsened with the respiratory illness to the point of Invasive Medical Ventilation (IVM). The media proclaimed the presidential advice was wrong, and the medical establishment undermined the administration’s advocacy. Now a study shows treatment with those medicines would have led to many saved lives.

Since those with higher doses of HCQ had higher doses of AZM, we cannot solely attribute the causal effect to HCQ/AZM combination therapy. However, it is likely AZM does contribute significantly to this increase in survival rate. Since higher dose HCQ/AZM therapy improves survival by nearly 200% in this population, the safety data are moot.” (link to study)

Mr. Rauolt appears to be something of a celebrity scientist. That is, he may be more into the celebrity part than the science. He did some shady things with his HCQ study.
That doesn’t mean HCQ doesn’t work, it does mean that his study is not good evidence

Rauolt et al were massively attacked for their *successful* HCQ progress.

I think you’re right. There’s going to be decades of research on the policy errors that were responsible for hundreds of thousands of needless deaths. I know a little bit about research methodology and, from the first, I distrusted what was coming from the federal government. Basically, it just didn’t make good research sense. It didn’t take me long to see that Fauci and the entire CDC were basically blowin’ smoke. They really didn’t have a good grasp of what was happening so they were just making things up.

The good doctors and researchers in the trenches were reportedly seeing where approved medications that didn’t have to be designed from scratch might make a difference because of the time crunch and the unknown aspects of this particular virus. That also went to affordability and availability in a short timeline as well as overall safety.
As time went by, many reportedly saw where HCQ could be effective and where ivermectin, steroids, etc. might be the first line in certain settings. The whole point should not have been to turn it into a political football (where even certain governors arbitrarily restricted its use) but to let those in the trenches explore what works on an ongoing basis and refine the techniques progressively over time. That’s what actual science and common sense would figure to dictate.

I don’t think this was all about Trump. I think Big Pharma (aided by WS) conspired to take out any/all medical therapies. Covid presented an enormous opportunity for them – not just financial but technological.
The world would not have needed these experimental vaxes if there was a medical therapy that worked.
The goal was the EU Authorization. Without it, Bug Pharma would probably need 5-10 years for the RMA technology that these vaxes employ to make it through trials and into approval. Covid was the perfect opportunity to leapfrog over regulations, trials, the courting of investors, etc. All they had to do was take out/censor any medical therapy. They used their influence with boards (AMA), medical schools, hospitals, publications, etc. to stamp out HCQ, Ivermectin, Remdesivir, etc.
This pandemic was the perfect set-up for Big Pharma to take this technology leap with no repercussions, no liability, etc.
It has been brought to my attention that most of the advertising dollars (television, print, social media/tech, etc.) are for pharmaceuticals. This would explain why Facebook and the media have been censoring any information not supportive of the vaxes. And of course, Big Tech and the media are naturally inclined to think that regulations, rules, etc. are a hinderance to advancement so the the financial incentive to censor on behalf of their largest clients was simply a bonus.

West Point is subjecting cadets who refuse the vaccine to be quarantined in their rooms 23 hours a day for a total of seven days. I am not a dark or a biologist, but:
Everywhere I’ve read seems to agree that antivirals only work early on in an infection. That tends to be before you feel it and when you are starting to have symptoms. So if HCQ Works by reducing viral load, then it only works early on. If it works by modulating the immune response which can get hyperactive, but it might work later on.
But the data for this drug is so messed up and conflicting, I would not trust anyone study pro or con.
HCQ works by reducing inflammation in the lungs! It’s an Anti-inflammatory drug.
Ivermectin is broad spectrum time wise, but still works best soonest.

SE Louisiana was a “hot spot” last spring (Mardi Gras, 2020). It scared us pretty badly. The restrictions interfered with our culture and with our daily lives in many ways. Then summer came, the infections went down, and most of us moved on.

First of all we don’t know the effectiveness of the vaccine for covid. It is too new and they skipped the usual vaccine trials, including animal trials and the effects on fertility studies.

Agree. We have always used or devoped therapeutics to treat the ill. Never before have we refused to treat the ill, leaving them to worsen and die. And so if you don’t know you have it, because the symptoms are so mild, you’re more likely to run around in public and spread it. So vaccinated people are the real threat.
An underappreciated but obvious point.
Some well known physicians and researchers claim the vaccinated are shedding spike proteins from the vaccine that is causing blood clotting and irregular, heavy periods for unvaccinated women. Maybe we should avoid the vaccinated.
Those are claims that are certainly cause for concern, especially when almost half our population now has this “altered” RNA. Again, we need data.
Until there is actual data that provides the evidence that supports the claim of “asymptomatic” super spreaders, it is just another hystetical claim to gin up fear and make us all suspicious of one another, seeing everyone as a potential threat. If there was validity to this claim, we would see more than 10% of our population infected. 10% is the ratio of population to positive cases, if we are to believe the positive case numbers. Here in PA, it is 9% of the population.
Like most airborne viruses, there is a window of time that the infected may not show symtoms and spread it. It is usually a 24-48 hr. window. From all that I know who have gotten the virus, that is exactly what happened, BUT only with people they spent significant time with in close contact, ie family members. ie POTUS, his family and those around him, all within 2 days of each other.

Far from being “nothing new,” these have never been tried in human beings before. But they did kill a lot of lab animals due to autoimmune reactions.

What’s “new” is the mRNA technology – they had to expand the definition of “vaccine” to fit these in. Amazing technology to be sure but still in the experimental (Phase 3) stages. Given “Emergency Use Authorization” fraudulently, since to get EUA one has to pretend there are no therapeutics. And what’s also “new” about these vaccines is that in 5 months, the number of deaths reported to VAERS exceeds the number of ALL previous vaccines put together since reporting began.
They had to discredit these other drugs because the only way they could get emergency approval for their vaccine was if there was no other treatment available. If ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine worked they would not have been able to sell their vaccines. Brett Weinstein’s Dark Horse podcasts are a good source on this.
Not the truth. I personally know 3 serious adverse reactions(2 of these requiring heart surgery and implantation of a defibrillator) from the vaccine. Meanwhile for everyone I know or know of covid 19 itself has been a mere cold/flu. All have recovered at home. There is an obvious choice for anyone with common sense. The rest is just peer pressure from rich guys trying to get richer.
And I personally know two people who were close to death from covid.

If you’d been keeping up with the reality, these are in no way — not biologically, chemically, or legally — “vaccines.” They aren’t approved for use as vaccines. They are experimental genetic “therapies.”
All previous studies and trials, with animals, of these “therapies,” killed all the animals. No human trials, until you lined up as a guinea pig, were done because of the universal deaths of the test subjects.
The “hallmark of modern medicine” has been a minimum ten to 12 years-long trials, which have to show close to zero deaths to be FDA approved for general use.
If you go back through those past decades of developing vaccines, you likely will get a whole ‘nother impression of what real vaccines are, and even with their failures and dangers, nothing like the lethality of these mRNA gene splicing experiments.

RNA gene therapies are not new, they have been languishing in safety studies for 10 years because they are inherently unsafe. This was the perfect opportunity to move beyond failed safety trials and release on the masses while all risk for big pharma was eliminated.
