Last year President Trump advocated for Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and Azithromycin (AZM), two readily available drugs, in the treatment of COVID patients who worsened with the respiratory illness to the point of Invasive Medical Ventilation (IVM). The media proclaimed the presidential advice was wrong, and the medical establishment undermined the administration’s advocacy. Now a study shows treatment with those medicines would have led to many saved lives.

Since those with higher doses of HCQ had higher doses of AZM, we cannot solely attribute the causal effect to HCQ/AZM combination therapy. However, it is likely AZM does contribute significantly to this increase in survival rate. Since higher dose HCQ/AZM therapy improves survival by nearly 200% in this population, the safety data are moot.” (link to study)

I’ve read several of those studies where HCQ was given to nearly terminal patients WITHOUT zinc. Your second paragraph states the very important point that HCQ is the enabler of zinc.
In fact, everybody conspired to suppress the value of HCQ and zinc as a preventative and treatment at first symptom. I argued with my ex-doctor for a preventive prescription. Nope, the state boards had said HCQ couldn’t be prescribed or dispensed for COVID. There were several studies available at the time which strongly suggested HCQ’s benefits.

Interesting that while the media were screaming about “fish tank cleaner”, a hospital in Deep Blue New Jersey was quietly administering HCQ to over 90% of its patients.
Unfortunately – and in a demonstration of how modern medical practice needs to self-examine and improve – the study says that how much HCQ/AZ a specific patient received was down to which specific infectious disease “team” a patient was assigned to when they were admitted to the hospital. Different “teams” within the hospital dosed HCQ and AZ in different amounts, and it turned out that there was a sharp increase in survival rates above total HCQ dose of 5800mg.
OTOH, perhaps it was fortuitous that the dosing wasn’t uniform, as that would have increased the chances that it would be insufficient and the benefits would never be seen. Of course, the inconsistent dosing wasn’t “fortuitous” for those who received the lower doses and likely died as a result.
Back then I asked my GP in NC about the controversial Hydoxy cocktails. He said he treats according to the needs of the patient in front of him and not according to any third party guidance. Then he smiled and said,”I went to medical school too, you know.”

I have family members who were hospitalized, in NJ, and given HCQ in March of last year. Your numbers are both interesting and alarming. Perhaps they were dosing by weight, like Ivermectin.
In fact, they weren’t dosing by weight. But the authors of the study made it a point that their data indicate it would probably be a good idea to dose by weight.

Only 22.8% received >3,000 mg HCQ. Weight-adjusted dosing was rarely used.”

To this day, in my country in the EU, with a socialized medical system, if you are diagnosed with COVID, they give you no medication whatsoever, but tell you to go home and go to bed. If your immune system cannot handle the illness, you are then sent to the hospital (normally with pneumonia by then). There is no suggestion of ‘alternative’ medications for this, in socialized medicine.

There were Medical professionals that advocated for HCL and were censored, cancelled and fired. Governors in many states banned prescribing HCL. If your doc was willing it became illegal. I personally did not lose trust in all medical professionals.

It is not almost criminal It IS criminal. Denying medical treatments by what Fauci and company did to hide the efficacy of this drug and of ivermectin constitutes a crime against humanity. They should hang for it.
Doctors and emergency rooms sent patients home with an antibiotic (sometimes with nothing) and told to take Tylenol and come back if they had trouble breathing. In my opinion, this was medical malpractice and it was promoted by Fauci, FDA, AMA, governors. This non-therapy approach was firmly established by intentionally flawed studies that contradicted 60 plus years of use of HCQ for not only malaria but also for rheumatoid arthritis. Facebook, Twitter and Google and the anti-American media propagandists were complicit in withholding the truth from the public.
If an investigation were done, I feel sure collusion and maybe payoffs could be found among those who hated Trump so much that they would lie and steal the lives of Americans in order to discount him.
The unspoken truth, too many of our doctors did not stand up for the truth. You can almost hear the collective thought, I know, not using HCQ allowed some of my elderly patients to die but they (CDC) would pull my license to practice if I did not follow their dictates.
The ferocious opposition to Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin to effectively treat COVID lends further evidence that the plandemic was politically weaponized against Trump. If there had been an acknowledged treatment (pending vaccine) it might have lessened the credibility of the claim that “we have to change the way we vote.” The deadly plandemic was the vehicle to make “emergency” changes to election procedures (unconstitutional and illegal as they were) that facilitated fraud, nothing could be allowed to get in the way of that
We all knew the Fauci branch of our useless National Healthcare Bureaucracies was lying about hydroxychloroquine from the first effort Trump made to promote it as a lifesaving therapeutic for people who have contracted the Wuhan virus. Now, over a year later and after 600,000 deaths fraudulently ascribed to the hated COVID19 virus (Wuhan virus), when the truth is that fewer than 10,000 of those deaths were actually solely because of the virus, we are being told that maybe the death toll was not near as high as was breathlessly reported every night on the Big Show News.
Imagine that! Time to just call all of these liars a bunch of liars and move on to call out the breathless lies they are telling us now. I am fed up with the lying liars and have no more use for anything they will ever say again.
