Wyoming GOP representative Liz Cheney, a Decepticon of the highest tier, appears smugly on Fox News for an interview. As much as the interview itself is insufferable in its disconnect many people need to watch and accept.
Cheney ramps-up the attacks against President Trump and his supporters. Keep in mind that Trump holds more than 85% approval within the party, yet Cheney and the Decepticons just don’t care; they hate anyone who does not facilitate their power demand. They hate you.

Additionally, two-thirds of the republican house conference voted to keep Cheney in her position. There is no way to reconcile the disconnect between what the elected GOP are doing against the will of the majority unless you accept they just don’t care. Trumpet!
Chris Wallace, a gatekeeper for all things swamp, was gleeful to provide Cheney with the opportunity to attack Trump supporters. The interview is telling on many fronts, but how many republicans will finally accept their status? The GOP doesn’t care what you think about them… they are the second wing of the UniParty vulture.
Stop being a battered conservative and start accepting that two-thirds of the republican party do not want you in the room. Remind yourself of this example when the insufferable apologists try to tell you a third party is not needed. The republican party must be destroyed or we will continue the cycle of abuse.

1. If we start a 3rd party– which is expensive and takes time– AND we succeed and defeat the Rs in 2022 b/c we win all the open R seats in 2022… the R party will still exist in Congress and the state legislatures. So there will exist a divided R party and an intact much larger Dem Party.
2. Once the current R party is divided into 2 competing parties, then this intact fascist/Dem party will have exclusive control over the ENTIRE US Govt and most states .. for a minimum of 6 years and likely 10 years.
3. IF we give exclusive dictatorial control over the US Fed & state govts to these leftist dems for 6-10+ years, they will have the VOTES to dramatically alter/amend the US Constitution to say whatever they please.
The Dems CAN then remove/delete our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms from the Constitution itself, right?
All they need is exclusive control over Congress and most/all state legislatures… which they will have if the R party is split in 2 for the next decade.
They could vote to make the US Constitution (COTUS) subordinate to a global govt or the UN in the interest of promoting global measures to stop climate change.
They could vote to change the COTUS to make our military subordinate to NATO.

I am a female and have attended Republican Party of Texas conventions. I attended breakout sessions on topics such as water management and skipped the galas. Political gatherings are no more Sodom and Gomorrah than professional gatherings.

The GOP E took billions from people like Bloomberg, paid black Democrat voters to vote for the GOPE candidate in the open primary. Then we had wonderful Dave Brat in Virginia who defeated scum of the earth Eric Cantor. Dave was gone after only two years because the GOP adjusted his district to his disadvantage. The GOP did the same thing to Allen West in Florida. They drastically changed his district. As to precinct officials and many empty positions, do you think this is news? Two decades ago there were posts like yours telling us this was the answer, we could do it. There have been a few great accomplishments in those volunteer positions. Grassroots people gave enormous amounts of time, much more than just attending a meeting a month, and sometimes it worked out, but the “good” ones always flip for the establishment once they get to DC. You may remember the Tea Party. Local groups were wonderful, sincere people with no money. National Tea Party groups were immediately co-opted by the Establishment. Andrew Breitbart worked himself to death for us. Just a few examples for you.

I like the list idea… Did a little research a couple days ago. Some jurisdictions won’t let a party with the word “America” or “American” on the ballot. The Patriot Party apparently has been used and has a tawdry history that would have to be overcome. The Constitution Party exists, apparently, and “ownership” would have to be changed (unclear). “Independent” doesn’t say enough. “Citizens United” has a bad ring because of the Citizens United SCOTUS case. And “We the People” doesn’t lend itself to an adjective… so I got stumped.

After Perot, the Uniparty worked to make it harder for a new party to get on the ballot, nationally.

Maybe his lawyers told him to stay off social media for now because of the upcoming show trial. Or maybe he is starting a media platform, in which case it makes zero sense to send your followers to a rival platform. I agree. He made a lot of mistakes with personnel choices and I believe it is because of advice and guidance from the establishment. If Trump continues to support the republican party, I will thank him for his love of America and Americans and for being courageous enough to boldly speak for us but I want another leader who is more astute and/or wise about the enemy and their tactics and how deep their tentacles have reached.
What will happen in Wyoming for the 2022 primary is Cheney will win. All it takes is for her to run. The primary is open to all voters and she only needs the most votes as Wyoming only requires a plurality.
The only thing, IMO, that would stop her from being re-elected or a Democrat winning would be a Trump endorsed third party.
She will not be running for reelection with 10% approval. The fear of being Cantored is too great. The stench of failure will be on her forever.

My biggest question is, how do we get a third party started at the local level? They farm candidates for federal level by those who have served in state on down to county, city, etc.

I emailed our local county GOP, just asking what their phone number was as the one listed wasn’t working.
I wanted to ask in person why they didn’t censure Gonzales and what was the outcome of the meeting in which they supposedly were going to discuss it.
They have me down as willing to help, it might be too soon, but I have not received any contact info.
If I don’t hear from them in the next couple days, then I will assume they do not want my kind of help. I am a dissident.
We don’t have much in the ways of leadership.
Another thing I want to mention. I would not assume that all those 75 million people that voted for President Trump were die hard supporters. They could very well be Ben Shapiro type Republicans. Most people are not in the weeds politically like us.
Before I became concerned with illegal immigration early on, I always just voted Republican because I wanted to keep taxes low. I’m sure there are many more low info type Republicans out there. They don’t want drama, they just want common sense and sound policies. These are people that are living their lives and not looking up anything re: primary candidates, etc. I don’t know what percentage they are of those who voted for President Trump.
I think it is easy to believe that we have that kind of support being on here all the time among like minded people, when there are many people who would not vote for some unfamiliar third party that I am sure would be eviscerated by the Press. They don’t want the drama and I don’t know where to start on educating people locally, let alone the organization of it all.
We would need leadership all over the nation to put in a real third party.
Starting a new party would take leadership and MONEY to pay lawyers to see to getting the filings right and in a timely manner. Also, might have to hire people to collect signatures. Kanye campaign people couldn’t even arrange to get his name on the ballots in all of the states.
In 2019, Nanzi was asked about AOC’s win. Nanzi said that there was nothing special about AOC’s victory in the general election because AOC had a D beside her name in a D district. The way Nanzi explained it, you could set up a glass of water to run in that district. The glass of water would win as long as there was a D beside it.
That is exactly how so many people vote. Party affiliation is one form of identity politics. It is a reflex and so easy. A number of people here in this thread are saying they would not vote for a candidate with an R beside the name.

Guess I will throw in my two cents worth here, for what it is worth.
Seems to me that people have power; people are the power and Maga people are the power that we need. We need to continue this movement and I think that the only way to do that is to start a 3rd Party. By staying in the Repub party and trying to reform it, the Maga movement will be lost because it will lose its identity. Trump gave an identity to the Maga movement and people stepped up and voted for him because they could identify with him and identify with the movement. We must maintain the movement and therefore we must maintain the identity.
I think that we have to take a long-term perspective here. In my opinion, this government is so deeply corrupt that there is no way to save it quickly. It is, as we have seen, for the most part, lost and unredeemable. It took decades to create it and it will take decades to radically change it.
In my opinion, the idea that by starting a 3rd Party we will insure a democratic socialism in power indefinitely is a weak argument. We already have that and will have it for a long time. They have shown how far they are willing to go and what they will do to maintain power. They have just stolen an election and worked a coup against a sitting president. There is nothing that they won’t do. And they will do it against a 3rd Party too. But that is the battle to come.
To remain in the Republican Party, in my opinion, is to lose the movement…..unless, Trump stays in the Republican Party. If he does, then that’s a game changer. He can keep the Mega Movement going if he still wants to do so. If he does NOT want to do so, then let the man rest and God bless the man. I am so thankful to have lived long enough to see this President—for all his faults and all of his shortcomings, what a President and what a Patriot.
And if he does not, then we must identify ourselves separately.
And as far as local politics are concerned, politicians and candidates are all like sailors: they play the wind. Whichever way the wind is blowing is the way they will go. Very, very few true leaders among this bunch. Mostly just followers of the prevailing wind. Let us in the Maga Movement be the prevailing wind.

The movement is how we can jump-start the new party. The movement is how we can bring President Trump along and away from the corrupt GOP.

I would just add that I believe part of our strategy can be to use the republicans currently in office in the state legislatures and local governments to our advantage to pass some laws and take some actions to protect who they see as their base but which will also protect those who become members and supporters of the new party. So we do continue to approach our local lawmakers to push some of those laws through as quickly as possible.

I agree with Sundance. 85 to 95% of Repub support the MAGA/Trump governence. Unknown % Dems support MAGA/Trump governence. 50% or higher Indy’s support MAGA/Trump governence. I tend to think that 30% or higher is a possible on the Dem %. A 3rd Party, ‘Freedom Party?’ ,would with public advertising would bring all of those people to the New and Rational Tent. Sure, it will take some years to get to full strength. On the plus side, if every Trump voter switched to the New Party, then both the Dems and Repub swamp would both be weakened seriously. And with 125 million in the New Party the 2 wings of the Uniparty could not pull out multi million fake votes.

As much as I enjoy listening to various conservative podcasts (Dan Bongino and Dinesh D’Souza) the naysayers claiming a Trump led party to replace the GOP would never work are frustrating. Millions of us tried with the Tea Party and look where that went….nowhere for the most part. It was neutered by the RINO’s, the Koch Brothers, and the COC. I believe the time is ripe for abolition of the GOP and the rise of the America First Party.

I read a really informative book, The Blueprint: How the Democrats Won Colorado (and why Republicans everywhere should care). Somebody on our side should read it, too. One of the people featured in that book that had money is now governor of Colorado.
