Wyoming GOP representative Liz Cheney, a Decepticon of the highest tier, appears smugly on Fox News for an interview. As much as the interview itself is insufferable in its disconnect many people need to watch and accept.
Cheney ramps-up the attacks against President Trump and his supporters. Keep in mind that Trump holds more than 85% approval within the party, yet Cheney and the Decepticons just don’t care; they hate anyone who does not facilitate their power demand. They hate you.
They hate us.
Additionally, two-thirds of the republican house conference voted to keep Cheney in her position. There is no way to reconcile the disconnect between what the elected GOP are doing against the will of the majority unless you accept they just don’t care. Trumpet!
Chris Wallace, a gatekeeper for all things swamp, was gleeful to provide Cheney with the opportunity to attack Trump supporters. The interview is telling on many fronts, but how many republicans will finally accept their status? The GOP doesn’t care what you think about them… they are the second wing of the UniParty vulture.
Stop being a battered conservative and start accepting that two-thirds of the republican party do not want you in the room. Remind yourself of this example when the insufferable apologists try to tell you a third party is not needed. The republican party must be destroyed or we will continue the cycle of abuse.

As for a third party (I like ‘The America-First Party’), the problem with third parties is lack of representation in local and State government, and the corresponding inability to mount effective campaigns. Remember, “All politics is local.” Real-President Trump has 80+ million followers, but even if re-elected he’ll run into the same roadblocks in Congress and with the Administrative State that he did for the past four years.
For that reason I think it’s more practical to try to mount a take-over of the Republican Party at all levels, culminating with national election in 2024. Steve Bannon had a fellow on Friday explaining how to get involved at the Precinct level in every county in the nation, and how to use that membership to elect pro-Trump Republicans in every office. That’s the way to go, but it will take an unprecedented level of organization, working to defeat and replace anti-Trump Republicans in every local committee.
We’ll need a group to coordinate such an effort nationwide. Who could lead it? How about Sundance?

Destroying the GOP has to be a two prong strategy. We have to start organizing state conventions ahead of 2022 to state who our candidates will be. We might not run a candidate in every GOP district. The other prong? MAGA voters need to stay home in those other districts by the tens of millions.
The House vote tells you how low the GOP caucus needs to be reduced: 60 seats.
They need to unregister from the Republican Party by the tens of millions too. That will go far in weakening the Republican Party and allowing a third party to gain strength. And equally as important no more donations.
Trump should take a page from Mitch McConnel’s playbook and form a third party that gets 40 House seats and 5 or 6 Senate seats then caucuses with conservatives to spoil power for the plurality party, whichever it may be.
Been down the third party road and have a certificate of appreciation from Harry Browne (LIB) to prove it. Basic issue is this: Top two reasons voters give for voting for a particular candidate are #1 – have met them personally and #2 – party affiliation. Parties are brands that folks use to ID products and expect certain results from those products. Now, see the third party dilemma? You have to get folks to switch registration by the millions to make any inroads. Could Trump do this with a multi-year tour where he registered every rally attendee for the new party? Possibly.
Should we instead try to take over the GOP? Right now there are 200,000 vacant precinct committee positions open out of 400,000 total. If just the folks reading this web site joined their local committee, the takeover would be complete! Process is different for every state, but generally requires attending just one meeting a month plus some volunteer work – stuff many of us have done during his last election cycle! Understand that our view within the party grass roots is the overwhelming majority. 200,000 of 400,000 GOP precinct committee positions are UNFILLED. Now, all we have to do is step into those positions to complete the takeover and then fire the leadership. Won’t be easy but must be done. Build a viable and independent communications platform, find patriots willing to suffer the pain of an election candidate, build a PR team, build a donation/finance base, tactically and strategically plan to destroy opponents and remove them, build up a message and broadcast means.
Within that time frame, there is NOT enough time to create an effective 3rd party that can actually win anything. Perhaps over a decade, but absolutely not in less than 2 yrs.
However emotionally satisfying it may be to abandon the gutless clownshow of the GOP, one must be realistic or else just hand over the future to the crazy liberal democrats.
Remember Ross Perot in 1992? He was 3rd party. He had good ideas. He understood NAFTA was destructive to America. I voted for him. In the end, he essentially enabled Clinton to win by splitting the vote. That was a critical juncture in History. However much anyone disliked HGW Bush, he might have been preferable to the Clinton Dynasty and the heir, BHO.

At best, a 3rd party will guarantee that Dems keep control for as long as they wish. The next election cycles are critical.
The GOP must be cleaned out, taken over, and brought to heel by fielding primary candidates and backing them to remove the existing GOP rats, especially those holding committee positions or having proved traitorous. Otherwise, it is a waste of time and effort.
Maybe its time to play dirty as well. Hire PI’s . get dirt on them. politely explain they can shape up or go to jail. Might have to get in the gutter to do it. But this is not the time for theories and Marquis of Queensbury rules.
In the end, there will always be only 2 choices. Left or Right. Giving the Left any advantage is suicide. Since the Left cannot be taken over, there is only the choice of overtaking the Right and getting rid of the rats via primaries.

Not true. There are more independents that either democrats or republicans. Also, 1/2 the electorate doesn’t even vote. And there are a ton of democrat voters that are as fed up as we are.
This is the perfect time to do it because no-one is going to vote republican in 2020. The losses are going to be epic anyway – might as well be ready to scoop up the disaffected voters.
Go ahead and take over the republican party. Precinct chairs and county chairs are elected positions. You can file your papers and run for one of those positions during the primary in 2022. Personally my cold anger is a little hotter than that. I am a bit more immediate results oriented.

North Carolina, according to ncdemography.org , is 36% democrat, 33% unaffiliated, & 30% republican as of 8/13/2020. Have not checked the demographics of other states but doubt North Carolina differs by much, if at all. Unaffiliated voters in North Carolina are increasing in number as democrats are decreasing and republicans are at about the same level or slightly decreasing. With large numbers of our voters registering unaffiliated, and a large majority of our elected officials of both parties betraying all of us at every turn, what would be the problem with building a new political party? Borrowing a line from President Trump … “what th’ hell have yah got t’ lose?!?!?!”
