Wyoming GOP representative Liz Cheney, a Decepticon of the highest tier, appears smugly on Fox News for an interview. As much as the interview itself is insufferable in its disconnect many people need to watch and accept.
Cheney ramps-up the attacks against President Trump and his supporters. Keep in mind that Trump holds more than 85% approval within the party, yet Cheney and the Decepticons just don’t care; they hate anyone who does not facilitate their power demand. They hate you.
They hate us.
Additionally, two-thirds of the republican house conference voted to keep Cheney in her position. There is no way to reconcile the disconnect between what the elected GOP are doing against the will of the majority unless you accept they just don’t care. Trumpet!
Chris Wallace, a gatekeeper for all things swamp, was gleeful to provide Cheney with the opportunity to attack Trump supporters. The interview is telling on many fronts, but how many republicans will finally accept their status? The GOP doesn’t care what you think about them… they are the second wing of the UniParty vulture.
Stop being a battered conservative and start accepting that two-thirds of the republican party do not want you in the room. Remind yourself of this example when the insufferable apologists try to tell you a third party is not needed. The republican party must be destroyed or we will continue the cycle of abuse.

My state allows me to vote in the primaries and separately in the general election. I always voted Republican but not anymore.

After doing the math, I disagree. If the House is 1/3 Trump supporters and 2/3 never Trumpers, if 1/4 of the never Trumpers are thrown out, Trump has the majority. If most Republican voters are pro-Trump, it should be easier to take over the party and the House than to start over. Then make Trump speaker.

I disagree. Leadership posts always go to those who raise money for the others, and corral votes for those who supply that money. Cheney won only because it was an anonymous vote, and the current crop of representatives could stay on her gravy train without publicly, personally insulting President Trump. It will be much easier to take over the Republican Party, starting at the local and state levels, rather than attempting to establish a new party in every locale (how many years will it take to reach 50% coverage of the Nation?), where its candidates will initially split conservative votes, easing the Dem path forward, leaving “good” Republicans high and dry.
There need to be new sources of money for good Republicans, and pressure to prevent candidates from taking money from those who control Cheney. Attack the corrupters and the corrupted, and destroy them, not the already established Conservative party.

A moment of clear thinking is needed here. A few years ago I read that over 50% of republican county chair positions were vacant. This seemingly junior position is en masse responsible for setting the agenda and platform of the party, as well as setting its rules. The fact the party wasn’t making this fact known proves how scared they are of the grassroots wresting the power away from the establishment.
I don’t know since that time the state of play in this situation. Might President Trump’s move be based not on trust in McCarthy, but knowledge of a growing power base that is only beginning to coalesce and utilize this previously neglected power? Might the CONservatives be playing reverse psychology by attempting to drive us away from the levers of power?

We need someone to lead and organize in each state with each state reporting to a main website to handle various items like, among other things, fundraising, solicitation, letter writing, goal setting, and advertising to name a few. Zoom is very popular today and it could be utilized for this to grow.

As someone who tried to get a replacement for the GOP back in 2000 with Buchanan Reform (Repubs have been disappointing long before now), I’m sympathetic to a better alternative than the GOP, but therein is the task for those wanting to form a new party.
Have any of you ever done the work necessary to get signatures to gain ballot access? Have you given more than maybe a few dollars here and there to any candidates for office? Have you ever worked a poll during election day? Made phone calls?
I can rail against the Repubs (and have) and call for their demise, but that’s the easy part. Until those calling for a new party actually put in place the groundwork and financial infrastructure to make a 3rd party a reality and an actual replacement for the GOP, it’s all just words.
We are either going to go through building a complete new party mechanism or we execute a “hostile takeover” of the republican party.

I think a well organized core group helping lead and train volunteers would quickly grow.
Organization in each state would seriously help as long as organizers were responsive. How many want to get involved locally, don’t know what to do, and the state GOP will not respond to calls for help?
Having a boat parade or showing up at a rally is nice, but doing the work needed to organize at the local, state and national level is quite a different thing.
It can be done, but obstacles like party platforms, bickering about leadership, who controls the money, etc. all have to get worked out.

Magabear- BRAVO! You get it! Not one person commenting here who is demanding a third party has explained exactly what needs to be done and how to go about it.
One of the hardest jobs of all is simply getting enough signatures on the nominating petitions. I know because I’ve spent many a summer’s day knocking on people’s doors, trying to get them to sign. Imagine trying to set up the infrastructure for all 50 states and then getting candidates.
Never gonna happen. MUCH easier to just get rid of the bad RINOs one way or the other. Start giving money directly to MAGA candidates for starters.

We need to do a hostile takeover of the GOP. There are 400,000 positions for precinct committeemen in the GOP party. 200,000 are open, nobody to fill them. Right now, the 200,000 that are currently filled are half and half, swamp creatures and the other half MAGA. If we take up those remaining positions, we will own the GOP.
Precinct committeemen call all the shots from who fills party positions to who the candidates are who run for office and has control over the voting machines.

I just changed from Republican to Independent. I’m sick and tired of Republicans who don’t listen to their voters, instead “voting their conscience.” They think they know better than we the people. I don’t care what anyone says about a third party hurting and allowing the democrats to win. One election cycle and that wouldn’t be true any longer, if it is in the first place. The people have spoken. We are effing fed up. My husband changed as well. We are only two people in a red state, but these changes will add up and hopefully send a message to those old buzzards and thieves like Liz Chaney. We will not vote for another democrat or republican. We may not vote anyhow until election fraud is addressed. We won’t shut up.

Although I agree with the analysis I don’t agree with the conclusion: it would take years as a third-party and splitting the vote with the GOP would bring the Democrats win almost every time and would still keep all the Deceptacon GOP at the head of the GOP. Instead I advise to influence the GOP from within in terms of influencing the primary choice and The committee. However, in order to destroy the Deceptacon wing of the Republican Party one needs to vote Democrat against each Deceptacon GOP candidate. In that way the addition of the Democrat vote and the Trump GOP vote will knock out the Deceptacon by a landslide. This needs to be done to every leader ship Deceptacon in the GOP. In every election every single Deceptacon running could be knocked out. Even though the Democratic candidate wins that is most likely to happen when running a third-party anyway. So why not make the Vote useful to get rid of the Deceptacon GOP candidates. In the places where a GOP candidate is a true Trumper One can vote for him. The minute a Deceptacon is voted out he has no more influence and the best way to do that is to combine ones vote with the Democrats vote in those locations. This would require the discipline of the GOP voters in those districts voting for the Democratic candidate against the never trump GOP candidate. Even with a third-party I would want to destroy every Deceptacon GOP by voting with the Democrats in their districts. By getting rid of that leader ship in the GOP the trump candidates will be stronger weather in a third-party or the GOP and it would attract those in the middle towards the trump side or party.

A-term limits need to be mandatory for congress, two terms for senate and three terms for house, with retirement cut by 50 % and no one collects that until 65

I would just keep in mind poseurs like Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Ben Shapiro, Hannity, etc would flock to something like this. I think it should be something like America First Party or something equivalent that would prevent them from joining, like a vampire being exposed to light.

WRONG I don’t know your age, but people have been trying to CLEAN HOUSE for over 20 years. Spend some time watching house rehab shows and you can easily see that some houses can be saved whereas other houses need to be razed . The GOP falls into the latter category. When the cancer reaches the brain and spreads to every organ in the bocy, no amount of time or money can save the patient’s life (e.g., Steve Jobs, Rush etc. ) The GOP cannot be saved.

People viscerally hate the Republican brand. They will never vote Republican. It must be destroyed.
At this time we do not control the electoral processes in any state. Voting the GOP candidates out is not within our control until this is remedied, state by state.
Call me crazy but I believe the only language the GOP Machine will understand is a massive walk-away. We take with us our votes, our millions of small donor contributions, our presence at their candidate functions, our phone calls to voters on their behalf, and we rob them of the delusion that we are willing to continue being their punching bag.

Perez challenged Matthews about why we only have these two (bad) choices.
