Many people talk of a foreboding sense. A sense that something is very close to erupting on the surface. I believe, and have said for months, the final eruption will come as a result of overreach by control authority in reference to COVID dictates. We are close.
In Washington State the entire town of Mossyrock has united to defy the COVID-19 dictatorial fiats of the State Governor Jay Inslee. This is how the rebellion will succeed.
WASHINGTON STATE – Mossyrock Mayor Randall Sasser said he had talked with people from around the state who had come to help out. Steve Hurst said he came from Olympia because he thinks the governor is overstepping his power. (read more)
The power of government comes from the people; or as we say in the U.S. “from the consent of the governed.” When the people lead, the politicians are forced to follow.
Without implied consent the municipal or state government has no power. None.
As a result, the nonsense ends when the majority of We The People no longer give our consent. How do We The People retract our consent? We simply refuse to comply.
When the majority of people simply refuse to comply with unilateral dictates, and laugh in the faces of those who attempt to enforce them, the government no longer has power.
If one person refuses to comply, the government or control authority can, and likely will, intervene. However, if tens of thousands rebuke these unconstitutional decrees, there isn’t a damn thing govt can do to stop it… and they know it. A non-compliant snowball becomes an unstoppable freedom avalanche.
Local, regional and state officials know they can control the behavior of an individual. If one barber shop opens, the owner becomes a target. However, those officials also know they cannot control the behavior of the majority. If every barber shop and beauty salon in town opens… there is absolutely nothing the government can do about it.
If one restaurant and/or bar opens, the state can target the owner. But if every bar and restaurant in town opens; and if everyone ignores and dispatches the silly dictates of the local, regional or state officials; there isn’t a damned thing they can do about it.
The power of the local, regional or state authority comes from the expressed consent of the people. As soon as the majority of people in that municipality deny that consent, those officials and state authoritarians lose all of their power.
Yes, it really is that simple.
They want you to think otherwise, but it is not true. If WE THE PEOPLE demand freedom and stand together the control authority is useless.
Those who construct the systems of control need to weaponize fear. Fear of arrest; fear of losing a business; fear of losing liberty or financial security. Local, regional and state officials rely on fear. As soon as the people are no longer fearful, the control ends.
The overwhelming majority of dictates around COVID-19 mitigation are not laws. There was no debate; no input from representative government; and no option for the public to weigh-in on the decisions.
All unilateral rules are arbitrary, and despite many proclamations to the contrary, they rely upon voluntary compliance. As soon as citizens no longer voluntarily comply, the term of the rules has expired. If masks are so effective then why didn’t government give masks to prisoners, instead of releasing the inmates?
Liberty is inherent.
The removal of liberty requires consent.

I live in socialist northern Minnesota, not far from where most of the people in socialist Duluth had big Hiden signs in their yards. Many people also had signs next to Robinette signs that read, “Vote for an adult.” Yeah, like they have a clue what an adult is supposed to act like.
Would love to be part of the resistance in this beautiful area where many of the people are heathens.
I’m going to start by seeing who is with me. I know most of the business owners in my small town are Republican/conservative, now all they have to do is grow-a-set and say ‘No more’ and have the resistance show up to support them.
I don’t mind going out on a limb to start the process. Heck, I’ve been on this one for a long time already!

We held many sign waves for President Trump along Hwy 61 just as it goes into Two Harbors in October, and since the election we held one Stop the Steal rally there too.
When the tourist season was high we had multiple people from the cities either stop and join us, stop and get Trump yard signs, or stop and tell us how thankful they were to see Trump supporters in the northland after driving through the gauntlet of idiotic signs in Duluth.
Remember the house in the cities that had a big Trump sign and someone started the garage on fire? Made the news — amazingly. The parents of one of the owners of that house, who also live in the cities, stopped by during one of our rallies and were thrilled at what we were doing. They would have joined us, but were on their way to a wedding further north and didn’t have time. But before they left they gave us a few bags of homemade trail mix (yum), and took a few Trump yard signs to bring back home.
I tell you all that to let you know you are welcome to come join us anytime.
Right now I am working on setting up an outdoor Christmas sing along/bonfire marshmellow and hotdog roast/President Trump supporting get together — mask and socialist distancing free — and if/when everything is set (where, when and what), I’ll post an invitation a few places, so it can been seen on many branches.

The response of authoritarians to even the appearance of disobedance to their rules is to instinctively resort to more and then more force. I think the covid-crisis social control measures have a lot more to do with learning how and when to apply increasingly coercive rules and then measure how compliant target populations are. Just as Antifa and BLM are carefully observing how much violence and what kind of violence they can make governments and people accommodate, so are progressive governors and mayors carefully observing how people respond to even the most nonsensical and arbitrary rules placed on them. They want their rules to be contradictory, want them to be ornerous and insulting, because their interest is in teaching people to obey without question. This is how authoritarians justify creating police states to accomplish their goals. I think we’re looking a a future that is a vastly different kind of America than we’ve known.

I’m in Orlando area. Don’t wear one either, anywhere. Clerk at a local Ace Hardware in College Park tried to force the issue on me the other day. I was returning an item, but needed to buy about $80 worth of supplies. She said if I had more shopping to do I would have to wear a mask. (Had not seen this clerk before. I have shopped there many times w/o a mask, everyone was friendly.) I refused, returned my item and politely told them I would now have to go to Home Depot for my purchase.
Sad to have to go to big box, but oh well. HD, like everywhere has signs, but I ignore them with no problems.

I have withdrawn my consent from the Governor of North Carolina; and I have withdrawn my consent from the abusive actions of the town of Weaverville NC. I guess I may be the first one to be shot, but I said the mask mandate was my hill to die on and I just may do that, I guess. The final straw is the governor saying no one could drive after 1o pm.

No driving after 10pm? Wtf? I make a run to our WNC cabin every other month at a minimum. It’s a 9 hour run for me. Getting there between 10pm and 2am is the norm. What the hell will they make you do, park for night? I will travel to my property whenever I damn well please.
Emergency powers are time-limited, even if not expressly so. Otherwise, there is no meaning in “permanent emergency”. The two-week experiment is proof that leadership coast to coast is flailing with no knowledge or efficacy of what the hell to do. Thus, you needn’t be their guinea pig as they search blindly for who knows what. People cannot be put under this kind of duress for such lengths when the danger does not match the assured impact of the duress.
The ballot counters, state secretaries, and so on, were supposed to follow the law–it was the law; we all have to follow it. Yet, they didn’t. And, they have not answered for breaking it willfully and brazenly and in a coordinated fashion. Why should everyman have to suffer a punishment for adhering to blatantly illegitimate edicts based on whims? You see where they have everyone.
Thus, any governor or mayor who has utilized emergency powers for nearly a year is well beyond the scope of authorization. Not terribly many people really were furious about a two week dormancy in an effort to knock down impacts at the ER. However, that ship has sailed, and it is now a requirement that the legislature be required to authorize via law any additional powers for executives.
In such a scenario, the legislature will have to codify something that may run expressly against the will of the people. But, that’s the way the government works, and there’s always the constitutional conflict with ill-advised laws.

in the store at a time! I mentioned that the grocery stores do better and no one is sick who works there.
One lady then made the mistake of suggesting grocery stores should cut customers.But I am in California and the sheeple were shocked, eyes wide open, that I complained. .

I drove from I-5 to Mt Rainier – I think it was the highway to Yakima – maybe Hwy 12 – but I was in the country east of I-5 and I saw so many Culp signs and not one Inslee sign.
Seattle has really gone to hell and is taking the rest of the state with it.
Culp signs were thick in my corner of Puget Sound this fall. And then the Friday night before the election, someone swept them all away and replaced them with (D) candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction signs. Culp is not a firey guy, but he reminds me of a draft horse; endowed with natural power, dedicated to the task sunrise to sunset, able to relax, fearful of very little, and gentle. I rejoiced when I learned of his suit against Washington State. I pray for him.

Most NYers do all holiday parties at restaurants due to space limitations on their apartments so I’m sure they really rely on that Jack her than usual crowd.

Unfortunately, consent of the people can be forced. When one looks at horrible dictators like Sadam Hussein, it can be seen that force and fear and terror can be used to dominate everybody. Yes, an elite is needed to keep the rest in check, but even they are kept in fear and terror so that they won’t use the force they wield to free themselves.
And one doesn’t need the frightening skills of that terror master. Any two-bit dictator can force his will over the people as long as a powerful patron lends its power. Such as Cuba supporting all sorts of leftist regimes like Venezuela. It takes yet another powerful country to help the people overcome. At that point, the country and people become the battleground between more powerful regimes.
I bring this up because of two things. Remember Biden saying he would fund the use of the guard? Well, they still aren’t using the guard to end looting, rioting and the self-proclaimed countries by the left. And that wasn’t just about emergencies. I have no doubt the petty two-bit dictators are planning on using the guard against us to enforce their despotism.
Then it becomes a Tianamen square like question. Will our people kill our own?
And, will Biden’s paymaster, China, provide the assistance he needs to assert his dominance. (You can easily replace Biden with any powerful leftist.)
We will need to stand firm and united against all the tools that will be leveled against us as we withhold our consent.

It was very interesting. I had not heard of some of the different options he mentioned. He makes a good point that if Trump doesn’t use these powers, Biden willl. If Trump took any of these actions before he managed to get all of the individuals tasked to uphold the law to rip off their masks and say, “That’s right! I’m corrupt!! Wadda ya gonna do about it?? Bwahhahaa”, then the country would have been rightly outraged. Now, we’ll all understand that that our government is broken.

IMO, like most others, the maker of that podcast missed the salient point of the SCOTUS decision, and totally overlooked what Alito meant by “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest…”
He’s not saying that there is no STANDING for such a case, only that Texas st al failed to DEMONSTRATE it.
Also note what Alito said (and Thomas joined) he would “grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issues”
It almost screams: “WE CAN’T PREVENT PA FROM CERTIFYING THEIR ELECTION BASED ON WHAT YOU GAVE US. WE *WANT* MORE!”

The response of authoritarians to even the appearance of disobedance to their rules is to instinctively resort to more and then more force. I think the covid-crisis social control measures have a lot more to do with learning how and when to apply increasingly coercive rules and then measure how compliant target populations are. Just as Antifa and BLM are carefully observing how much violence and what kind of violence they can make governments and people accommodate, so are progressive governors and mayors carefully observing how people respond to even the most nonsensical and arbitrary rules placed on them. They want their rules to be contradictory, want them to be ornerous and insulting, because their interest is in teaching people to obey without question. This is how authoritarians justify creating police states to accomplish their goals. I think we’re looking a a future that is a vastly different kind of America than we’ve known.
