I started using bitchute about a year and a half ago and I like it. In that time the site has improved quite a bit (better search function, videos almost always play without any problems, etc). There’s tons of movies and good music, if you know where to look.
One of the problems when I first started using the site was the that the content was somewhat limited – there just weren’t a ton of people on there yet. This has improved a lot. As more and more people have been driven off of other platforms (youtube, etc) due to censorship, more and more have flocked to bitchute and created a diverse and ever expanding array of content.
Honestly, bitchute works even better for me than youtube nowadays. I’m not even talking about the censorship aspect, I mean just from a technical perspective. The bitchute videos play flawlessly – and with NO ADS – whereas it seems like with youtube more and more I have problems with videos not playing right, I can’t pause the video, the ads somehow screw up the video, etc, etc. Maybe it’s the low quality of all those h1b foreigners working at youtube/google, I dunno. But I’m using bitchute more and more. Honestly about the only thing I use youtube for anymore is watching old gameshows. If someone on bitchute would post videos of old gameshows I’d probably abandon youtube entirely.
One downside to bitchute is that there is no livestreaming, though I’ve heard they are working on making that happen soon.

I do not have the knowledge to jump around quickly. I dropped Facebook the night before the election because they said they would censor President Trump. I use youtube to get my information on a timely basis but that is now gone. I learned this morning that Rumble doesn’t stream. I already going through withdrawals. This old man is going to have to learn a lot of new stuff, otherwise I’ll have to live in darkness.
A new site is newtube. Have to wade through junk but some of the Doctor’s videos are there because the Docs that talked about what works for this Chinese Flu were censored first.

I cut the cable cord in 2017. I have a smart tv with Amazon Prime. I do in fact watch many videos via You Tube . If they are going to completely eliminate content I am interested in I would like to have Rumble as an option available to me. Are there any tech savvy CTH members that can assist me in this effort ?
Most likely Rumble is not on sites such as Roku or be able to download app directly to your smart tv. You could use comcast from your Rumble phone app to your smart tv, if Rumble allows itself to be comcasted.

Does anyone know if there is an internet service that is better than any other? We have AT&T, Comcast,Sonic. Hughes that I know of in this area? Also, I know DuckDuckGo is a good little search engine and there is Mozilla Firefox, but how do you escape google?
There are plenty of non-google search engines – Qwant and SwissCows work great. And there are protonmail and vivaldi mail.
You’re pretty much stuck with the ISP’s in your area. There may be some small outfits offering wireless internet, or you can see about using a smartphone as an access point.
Firefox is a web browser, not a search engine, although they probably default to google. You can configure Firefox to use any search engine you choose. I use startpage.com and duckduckgo.
I have an I pad with a chip to get the internet. . I use T mobile. I have unlimited text phone etc.. 2 lines one for phone one for 12” tablet.. I’m always connected..

Even with the new platform, CTH (and every other website) rely on a domain name registrar and DNS servers to direct traffic to the site. Fortunately this is very decentralized. But could “big tech” find a way to shut this down? Such that entering a blacklisted domain in a browser just sends the request to the bit bucket and not the actual server hosting the site? Things I would never have imagined happening are almost routine now. So if lil ol’ me can think of this, I have to assume big tech has thought of it too and is working on it. Which leaves us with what? Back to the samizdat of dissidents in the USSR?

I am trying to vote with my dollars by ridding myself of the Google, Comcast, ATT, Amazon type companies of the world. I am curious as to what companies CTH readers find useful to replace your smart phones, internet? How do I remove Facebook and Twitter from my smart phone.
There are lots of cell phone carriers out there that claim to be “patriot” oriented, (mypatriot that Bongino pushes). However, if you look into the company, they use Tmobile for coverage my area. That is not even close to being “patriot” safe.
I’m using about 1000GB a month for internet. Most of the internet providers in my area do not offer anything close to that use option. I am stuck with Comcast, because no other options exist.
Most VPN’s, malware, internet, virus software are all run out of foreign countries.
I have paired down as far as I can, but I still feel stuck in the matrix with no real choices. The idea of shopping local is great, until local has no options for the products you need.
In the end, I think it would be helpful to have a thread on this website that speaks to what works, what does not, and what they are using successfully. What happens should the internet and/or electrical grid goes down. Are CB’s useful or not, due to having to register with FTC? How to communicate with relatives and friends that do not live in your neighborhood under those circumstances.

We run a business that is non-political and have a lot of Youtube videos (like 3,000+ lot). This move is shocking on their part and will alienate over half their users. Our problem now is to move our footage to other platforms.
