It looks possible AG Bill Barr is trying to pull a sneaky fast-one against President Trump and the American people. Because what Barr is claiming to do, he really isn’t doing.
According to a stunning article by Associated Press, AG Bill Barr appointed John Durham as a special counsel on October 19th, and did not tell anyone.
[…] Barr told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he had appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham as a special counsel in October under the same federal statute that governed special counsel Robert Mueller in the original Russia probe. He said Durham’s investigation has been narrowing to focus more on the conduct of FBI agents who worked on the Russia investigation, known as Crossfire Hurricane.

However, here’s the issue… under DOJ regulations [28 cfr 600] a special counsel must come from “outside government“; so did John Durham resign his position prior to the appointment, or has Bill Barr just given the appearance of a special counsel appointment while knowing the legal validity of it will collapse upon challenge?
§ 600.3 Qualifications of the Special Counsel.
“(a) An individual named as Special Counsel shall be a lawyer with a reputation for integrity and impartial decisionmaking, and with appropriate experience to ensure both that the investigation will be conducted ably, expeditiously and thoroughly, and that investigative and prosecutorial decisions will be supported by an informed understanding of the criminal law and Department of Justice policies. The Special Counsel shall be selected from outside the United States Government. Special Counsels shall agree that their responsibilities as Special Counsel shall take first precedence in their professional lives, and that it may be necessary to devote their full time to the investigation, depending on its complexity and the stage of the investigation.” (link)
Obviously Bill Barr is not stupid, he would know the regulations he cites would require the special counsel to come from “outside the U.S. government”, so what gives?

Mueller III,” the Durham probe has not expanded. The official said that line specifically relates to FBI personnel who worked on the Russia investigation before the May 2017 appointment of Mueller, a critical area of scrutiny for both Durham and for the Justice Department inspector general, which identified a series of errors and omissions in surveillance applications targeting a former Trump campaign associate.

I spent a lot of time on that site all weekend. From out of the blue a friend sent me a URL from there. She ‘confessed’ she had been going there for years. She didn’t want to recommend it because she liked it, but felt it may be to ‘extreme’. However, because she has been going there for quite some time, she has found that he is right more often than not. Her parting sentence was that we now live in extreme times.
I found the site to be informative and really enjoyed his analysis. The truth has a certain ring to it.
I have read Mike Adams off and on for about 15 years. He is a manipulator and purveyor of fear porn, so he can satisfy a huge ego, with equally many marketing companies that cross sell your info and you can never get free. I don’t trust him.

Since he doesn’t have a military or intelligence background, there are no doubt better sources. His analysis seems good, I will put it in the mix for now.
I have perused Natural News sporadically for many years. I do not entirely trust any person or website, but Mike Adams offers information that others do not. He is a nutritionist, as am I. He is a “conservatarian” in my estimation.
I am profoundly anti-vaccine. I am entirely aware how few on either ostensible side of the aisle care anymore about this personal-liberty issue – much less about any contrary evidence to the conventional propaganda on vaccine safety and efficacy – and how readily such persons apply pejorative labelling to those who oppose vaccines.
There are few websites that address the anti-vaccine perspective from a generally conservative perspective. Benjamin Rush, M.D., a Founding Father, warned that if we did not include Medical Freedom in the Bill of Rights, we would inevitably have medical tyranny. I submit that we have that now.
(I abandoned the so-called Free Republic forum in part because many “conservatives” there ranted hysterically – even threateningly – against people like me, and said we should have our children taken from us, and then we should be imprisoned. That does not sound like a free republic to me.)

Delete all CTH book marks and history. I even deleted WP history and Gravitar too, since they linked up. (I did not want to clear my cache.) Just make like an entitled millennial and delete all history of CTH! Then I typed in and linked to CTH fresh. That’s on Firefox Android. Now it works and even logged me in from my Gravitar account, which it wouldn’t before.

Oh yeah, I’m feeling that way! A few days ago my wife and I were talking about what we were watching on TV, and how evil some of the people in this country are. I think people on twitter and such that are pushing the idea that it’s okay that Barr appointed an employee of the DOJ (Durham) because of 28 C.F.R. subsection 600.4 are purposely misleading people.
That section (600.4) simply defines the jurisdiction; it is, as Sundance says, the preceding subsection (600.3) that explicitly says the person appointed to that position must be outside of government employ.
Sundance is spot on. But we kinda knew that.

If I click on the home link, or any older article links, I go off into an alternate universe that does not have any articles or comments past 3PM Tuesday.

This is an update of my efforts over the last month supporting election integrity. It is quite clear that the integrity of our election process has been called into question given the concerns raised during the 2020 Presidential election. From poll workers being limited in their ability to view the processing of ballots to the courts overstepping its boundaries. Having Secretary of State Boockvar issue last minute guidance causing confusion for counties in implementing the election law equally and fairly, I joined in the effort to call for her to resign.
I have supported both the House and Senate State Government Committees taking a closer review of the 2020 election process to determine what revisions need to occur to restore faith and confidence in the electoral system. The House State Government Committee recently released its interim report on the challenges that impacted the 2020 election. The report, available here, details the changes made to the state’s Election Code throughout the 2019-20 Legislative Session, as well as the impact of court rulings and conflicting guidance to counties from the Department of State.
I supported a House Resolution calling for an audit of the 2020 election and along party-line vote it failed to receive Legislative Budget and Finance Committee approval.
I also participated in the Senate Policy Committee hearing last week in Gettysburg which reinforced my beliefs of irregularities in the 2020 election which need addressing and I co-sponsored a resolution, SR 410, introduced by Sen. Mastriano disputing the 2020 General Election.
Having said all that, multiple irregularities and inconsistencies are currently under review by state and federal courts. I maintain that Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar’s recent certification of the election results was premature in light of the ongoing litigation. Pennsylvania’s presidential electors do not have to be named until Dec. 12, giving additional time for the courts to resolve election disputes before certification must occur. Time, however, was simply not on our side to bring this resolution to a full vote before the current legislative session ends. In accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Constitution, the 2019-2020 legislative session ended at midnight, November 30th. All current legislation expires, and any related efforts must begin anew when the 2021-2022 legislative session commences in January.
When it comes to the time required to accomplish things, a legislative body is at a disadvantage compared to the other two branches of government. This is by design. Because a functional free society depends on the primacy of the rule of law, the co-equal branch of government tasked with creating law is slow and deliberative to provide ample opportunity for public observation and input into that process.
As highlighted by various events in 2020, the executive branch can alter statewide policy with the stroke of a pen, while the judicial branch can alter it with swift and sweeping decisions following timelines of a court’s own making.
The General Assembly is also distinctly a forward-looking body. Unlike courts, we do not have the authority to act retroactively to right the wrongs of yesterday. We can only create law and policy prospectively in hopes of preventing such wrongs in the future. And unlike the executive branch, we do not control law enforcement agencies which are capable of swooping in to halt wrongs as they are being committed. Legislative bodies contemplate the future. Contemplation requires thought and deliberation, and those things take time.
Moving forward, I plan to introduce legislation during the 2021-22 Legislative Session to ensure voters can be confident when they cast their ballots that the electoral process will be transparent, consistent and fair. The bill will amend the Election Code as it relates to the canvassing of absentee and mail-in ballots. It is my hope that we can approve these changes to ensure our elections are once again free from the shadow of doubt that has been cast over our democratic process.
While I am extremely disappointed that time ran out for the General Assembly to consider legislation, I continue to work with House and Senate members of like mind to determine what next steps are possible. I hope to be able to update you at the end of the week.

I understand how politically challenging it would be for these Republican-controlled legislatures to appoint electors in contravention of their fraudulent popular votes. But it would have been much easier just to refuse to certify any electors. If only a few of these larger battleground states did that, Biden would not obtain the required 270 votes in the Electoral College so the ultimate decision would be made in the new House of Representatives convening in early January. There’s an obvious reason the Republican Party is nicknamed “The Stupid Party.”

The most dangerous and telling thing about the senator’s pathetic letter is her omission of any reference to Dominion.
Her failure to express an intent to craft a law following Florida’s example in preventing their use in elections speaks louder than everything she said.

Rudy Giuliani, in his opening remarks in Arizona, said that it would be worth it for some of you legislators to lose your political careers to insure the integrity of the vote. He said it is like losing one’s life on the battlefield. The audience erupted in applause.

Just so all of you know, John J. Durham currently serves as US Attorney in EDNY. He is John Durham’s SON. Did Barr appoint Durham the elder or his son? Barr’s appointment memo doesn’t list a middle initial for Durham.
Also, I’m not surprised the DOJ/FBI is not much involved in the ongoing election fraud investigations. Since the fraud and corruption apparently involves foreign bad actors, these activities would fall squarely within the Dept of Homeland Security AOR. Title 10 vs. Title 50.

Just more bureaucratic nepotism, and actually helps confirm Durham as a swamp dweller. He wouldn’t want to anger the powers that be and hurt his son’s chances for advancement up the swampy ladder to the higher positions.
