This is the second in our series of CTH ground reports. With Treepers in every state, your information is actually a great insight into the political landscape.
Individual reports are obviously anecdotal; however, when they are compiled on a larger scale, and overlaid against the social media network we also follow, these ground reports have proven to be pretty darned accurate. Early voting has begun. If you have voted in person feel free to share your experience.
President Trump is surging at precisely the right moment. Momentum is building and you can see all across social media platforms the MAGA movement is pushing back against censorship. Massive boat parades and incredible vehicle parades both replete with flags and banners supporting our President.
Yard signs/banners are now out in force and the MAGA gear is visible everywhere. In the past week the latest viral platform videos are of Trump dancing; Trumpy dance and Tik-Tok duets. Good stuff. The biggest single attribute connecting all of these visible events is joy, fellowship and the visible spirit of a patriotic movement happy to stand with President Trump.
Tens-of-thousands for rallies and Trump events; and even surrogates for President Trump are drawing exponentially larger crowds than the democrat candidates.
The monster vote is awake and alive.
https://twitter.com/Dirken5/status/1317588828492791821
All visible support for President Trump is genuinely organic, grassroots and easily identifiable as not being politically coordinated. Conversely all media-focused support for Joe Biden -used to frame the current election narrative- is transparently astroturf, inorganic and easily identified as being contrived. There truly is a remarkable and easily witnessed distinction.
We have the best candidate. We have the best message. Our color-blind movement is optimistic and filled with patriotic joy. Massive numbers of Latinos; massive numbers of blacks; massive numbers of young voters. The confidence level is high.
Our opposition is shallow, reliant upon astroturf and media manipulation. Ignore the narrative engineers and join in fellowship. Live your best life. Put out the signs; wear the gear; engage with everyone; be openly optimistic and rally to the standard. We have got this if we want it…
Deserve MAGA victory !! Get your ass in the game, get serious, get everyone involved and register those who never voted before; remind everyone, and drive the MONSTER VOTE !!
So here’s the question… What do you see in your area?
What is the visible situation from your community and how does that contrast or align with the national narrative you are seeing as promoted by media?
How does the turnout look? What are you seeing in/around your neighborhood and polling place? If you have early voted in-person, what was turnout like?
Ground reports are a great way to get a *sense* of the election.

It is unbelievable how many people are turning out for early voting here in eastern NC this year. Each time I’ve been by there, the parking lot has been full and the line outside the building has been long.
I’ve never seen it like this before.
However, I’ve also never seen so many democrat signs either. The roads are littered with Biden/Harris signs and the Trump/Pence signs are being vandalized. SMH.
How depressing, so glad I live in Texas. Knew that NC is under siege but did not know so bad. Keep the faith Dixie.
We really ARE under siege…. from the graduates of the liberal universities in the Piedmont section of the state and also from liberal Northerners moving to the beaches of the southeastern coast (NC, SC, GA) and bringing their opinions with them. That must be why the dem signs have become so prevalent.
Even back in 1990 when we moved here (we were both born here), the locals resented the takeover. There were many jokes about “the same road that brought you here will take you back to where you belong”.
Yesterday my daughter and her husband voted early. Went just prior to polls closing so lines not long at that time.
I see the difference in ABSENTEE ballots. I am elderly so Trump team sent me a form to request absentee (and called twice to remind me to turn it in.) I filled out my ballot, daughter was my witness, I signed it. She took my ballot with her to turn it in at the polling place. I was impressed with the process. The lady registering people checked my name off in her big book, dated and initialed my ballot envelope——got up and unlocked a box behind her for absentee ballots—put in my ballot, and re-locked the box.
MUCH MORE SECURE THAN TOSSING IT IN THE MAIL. Three votes for POTUS from us yesterday.
If they are on the roadside (as compared to yards) then campaigns are putting them up. Wouldn’t let that be the indicator- they can astroturf those.
Here where I live in CT. I was stopped at a red light. I watched a lady pull up to Republican signs (including Trump) that were on a roadside next to the river by a major intersection- you know public property, get out and remove the R signs. She put them in her car and replaced them with Hayes, about 4-5 o them and 3-4 Biden signs.
I just rolled down the window and said, yeah that will work. She told me f-off. I just said, have a good day. The signs have since been removed and replaced with one Hayes, one Biden, one local Dem rep…..and I think someone trolled them because there were Trump signs on either side of the Biden sign for a few days.
Pathetic people.
Ocala, Fl (Marion County)
Driving around the back roads south of town Trump signs are everywhere. My guestimate is they outnumber Biden signs by at least 15 to 1. I drove past two early polling places on Monday and both had very long lines outside. I returned Tuesday to vote and the wait was approximately 45 minutes. Lots of Trump bumper stickers and signs in the parking lot.
Last Saturday I had lunch in downtown Ocala directly across the street from the central park. There was an organized “rally” taking place as part of the “Women”s March” where they were handing out Biden signs.. Possibly 100 people in attendance. After the “rally” they held a rather pathetic march around the town square and quickly dispersed.
President Trump will win this area of Florida by a wide margin.
Citrus County, NW Florida. Strong support for our President here. Trump/ Pence signs everywhere and some pretty impressive flag displays on boats. Have only seen a couple of small Biden signs and one poor pitiful soul with a Biden/Harris face mask in the supermarket. Like much of Florida we’ve got our share of NE transplants, but they seem to be laying low or perhaps they’re Trump supporters as well.
The only pushback I know of, are a few liberal “harpies“ on the NEXTDOOR app who spew anti Trump rhetoric daily. They seem quite concerned about a potential neighborhood Trump parade, they claim that would be “Divisive”. I have to laugh at that.
Have noticed several “Faith over Fear” yard signs in the more rural areas and up around Ocala. I’m thinking this must be pushback against the COVID hype.
All in all, life is good, and as Sundance recommends I’m trying to live the best life possible. Not just know but in the future as well, no matter the outcome on November 3rd.
Like that song from Annie, “The sun will come out tomorrow…”
TX 4th district. Early voting heavy. This region will go very strongly Trump.
Based on my adult daughter, who has turned extremely liberal at Texas Tech, the young vote has a hard time with the Biden / Harris ticket. Some will hold their nose and vote to beat Trump because they hate him that much, but a lot will not be excited enough about Biden to bother.
Sad to hear that about Texas Tech. Used to have an effective college republican presence when I went their in the mid 2000’s.
Defund all of these “higher ed” institutions immediately.
90% of college students will not vote. I have a sophomore at URI…he and all his Frat buddies are not voting. When I asked him- he said please, dad, I’m 20 I don’t give a crap. I don’t….and neither do most of the people I have conversed with on campus.
Only the political at colleges will vote and maybe the older students.
Northeast Flagler County Florida here…voted Monday, waited in line for about 45 minutes, lots of Trump Flags and signs in our area.
I want to pass along what I just went through…I answered the phone and STAYED ON THE LINE UNTIL A MESSAGE CAME THROUGH:
“BE SAFE, STAY AT HOME, BE SAFE” It came from a 602 Area code…
So heads up…The game is afoot!!!
I received that same message a couple of days ago. Came from the 513 area code, local to me, here in Southwest Ohio. A creepy woman’s voice said, “This is a test call. Time to stay at home.” I redialed the number. It’s a non-working #.
I’m thinking of calling the Ohio AG’s office just to put this on record. I consider it to be a threat.
Good thing I don’t heed the word of random strangers who call my phone. Only morons and idiots do that…..so, I guess we see less liberals out voting.
Voter turnout in middle TN is massive. I waited over an hour in line this week to do early voting. The early voting turnout resembles a typical election day turnout in the past.
Lots of Trump signs around middle TN, only a handful of signs for “the big guy”.
Driving through northern and central FL this week, there is massive support for Trump in this area as well.
My husband and I voted in person on Sunday in suburb of Atlanta in a purple county. Had been red for ages, demographics have been changing over the years, flipped to blue in 2018, but looks like it is flipping back. Full stream of people but moved well. In and out within 15 minutes. The county has early in person voting for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 18 days, at 9 locations – for population of just under 1million. Yet national press screamed suppression by Kemp when there were lines the first day. Lots of people are voting, enthusiasm is really high. This state will stay red.
Williamson Cty, Texas –
Voted early in a Randall’s- lines every day but takes about 20-30 minutes from start to finish.
Definitely an uptick in early voters from previous years. Poll workers mostly elderly, didn’t notice anything off. Used the new ‘express’ voting. You vote, print your ballot out, then take it to another machine and insert it to ‘officially’ be counted. Actually took longer than the previous way so didn’t see how it was ‘express’.
Republicans have a better ground game (sate/local/federal level) than they did in 2018 mid terms.
The support for Trump across this country has been amazing compared to 2016. I don’t see how he can’t win and win big. I’m cautiously optimistic. I think he’ll take 2016 states + Hawaii, Nevada, Minn. He might get closer in CA, NY versus 2016. I really hope he gets the popular vote too – that will solidify it!
FYI Minnesota–I live in Stillwater, an upscale suburb of St. Paul, and, unfortunately, see mostly Biden signs. Trump’s support in this state is coming from the rural areas in the south and, especially, the Iron Range of norther MN. The results for the Range typically come in last on election eve so if you all hear early reports of Biden being ahead don’t give up on us. I’m praying for a heavy turnout in the Duluth/Hibbing/Virginia area to deliver our state to our wonderful President! On Tuesday we had a massive snow storm that ground the state to a halt. Fingers and toes crossed for good weather as many of us will NOT early vote as we don’t trust the process.
Kathleen, will Washington County stay red? Or at least it was red when i lived there back in early 2000’s.
I looked at the 2016 #’s by county in MN and NV and he barely lost those. So…I’m hoping with all the mess the last 4 yrs. that those states will vote more for him and he’ll take them.
I really hope you guys vote out the crazy chick in the House of Rep…
Sounds encouraging. I had read here or the austin statesman, cant remember which that your county is flipped blue. I would expect it to be the Austin rag, they are anti police.
Certain precincts in Williamson Cty went blue in 2016/2018. Unfortunately it’s been leaning blue at the state/local level.
It will be interesting to see how 2020 turns out.
I live in N/W Ohio in Lucas County which is strongly Democrat. Biden event last week at UAW Hall was poorly attended. (Good sign!) More Trump people across the street demonstrating than actual Union sheep at the Biden event. (Another good sign!) Many people out in suburban areas with their Trump signs, Trump gear, and peaceful Trump demonstrations by supporters at major intersections. Ohio should be good to the best President since Lincoln.
I don’t think the Unions are stumping for Biden this time. I should clarify- trade unions. They are benefitting from the new trade agreements and the return of manufacturing (albeit purposefully halted at the moment). I work in the power generation industry as an insurer- big policies for large equipment and property damage. I speak to people all the time during my risk control activities. The trades at my sites all seem to support Trump. Although most are on the down-low about it. They speak to you on the conference calls until certain people join (usually a co-worker they know who opposes Trump).
I live in a very red county in Indiana, there are no large cities in my county. After listening to POTUS for two hours on the Rush Limbaugh show, I went to vote early as soon as the program ended. It took an hour all told to wait in line and vote – Voter ID is required in Indiana. It was late in the afternoon, but the line was just as long when I left as when I arrived. There is a way to check online whether one’s vote has been properly recorded, and I made sure yesterday that mine has been.
In 2016, everyone I knew kept quiet about for whom they planned to vote. There were few political signs other than for local candidates and politics was avoided as a topic of conversation. It’s a lot different this year. I see Trump flags and yard signs everywhere, especially in rural areas. It’s common to see two flags mounted on pickup truck beds, one Trump and one U.S. flag, streaming gaily behind as the truck zooms down the street. A lot of people have “Trump 2020” on the facemasks they are forced to wear. There was recently a Trump caravan that went past our house, it took over an hour for all the vehicles to pass by and they were not driving slowly. I can count the number of Biden signs I have seen on the fingers of one hand, they were all within city/town limits. It’s hard to believe that the election will be anything but a Trump landslide.
I’m in the Cleveland/Akron area, rural but somewhat suburban county. Some Trump signs but I’ve seen more Biden signs than before. However, I have heard that Pres Trump has Ohio so I will try not to fret about this state.. I would imagine the Trump supporters are not being demonstrative because of the intimidation the Left has done to us.
What really threw me off was the neighbor next door, who was a registered Republican, who has local Democrat signs in her yard. I’ve now got 6 local Republican candidate signs in my yard and Trump 2020 so all the Biden supporters around me can bite me. We better not get vandalized. There are Biden signs on my street, I think I am surrounded by Biden people now.
Youngest was almost in tears when he saw the signs. “What if my friends see them?” Then I will explain how they’d be stupid to support a Democrat. Why should I be embarrassed? This is what the media has done to people, including our children, who were Trump supporters. Now they are afraid and ashamed.
I probably wouldn’t have put the local GOP races out if not for my flipped neighbor. I don’t know how my town is going to go, though, as far as staying mostly Republican. I imagine the diehards are the ones putting out the Biden signs this time. I’m getting the impression there is some marxist critical race theory going on around here.
I drive into rural Delaware county every week, see Trump signs, but surprisingly quite a few Biden that is disturbing, even into Licking county. However, I know they had a massive Trump rally at my hometown’s square a couple or so weeks ago. There’s no way they will flip to Biden, so the Democrats are being more demonstrative, is what I think it comes down to. But lots of Columbus urbanites moving out to Delaware county now, so it could flip at some point.
I drove past the county Board of Elections yesterday and they had a pretty full parking lot for early voting. We haven’t voted yet, will hold and hope we don’t get sick or something, in hopes we can vote on election day. My fear is the Dems want to know by how much they need to cheat. I don’t know if I need to worry so much about that in Ohio, though.
Great report Kaco. Kudos for displaying the Trump signs! I know how you feel with high school children (I’m in suburban Chicago). The signs/show of support work. Go Trump 2020!!
No early in person voting in Missouri (unless you go to the County Courthouse and vote absentee in person) , but I am told registrations are up. My county went 70% Trump in 2016, and I expect long lines on Nov 3rd…it will be a fun day.
Voted early in Sparks, Nevada…first day eligible Saturday the 17th. In line for two hours. Not a lot of signage support for either candidate in the Reno/Sparks area. Unfortunately, cancel culture is out in full force.
Denver suburbs are ripe with Biden/Harris yard signs and BLM signs. Of the houses that do have signs out, there are 25 Biden signs for every one Trump yard sign. Not surprising for red Denver.
Thirty minutes out of town is a different story. The rural areas are all Trump, and their signs are huge. Also not surprising for blue rural Colorado. Colorado will go red again – they just have the urban numbers in Denver and Boulder.
Unless you’ve confused red and blue states, I think you’re wrong. Colorado is as blue as blue gets. I live in Colorado and see the same things you’re saying, but it means the Dems will win here again, which makes it blue. Colorado is very close to becoming another California. Not a good place to be anymore.
So true. It is now California East. The city of Denver has always been blue. There are red voters in the outer areas.
May God bless our awesome President Donald J. Trump. MAGA 2020
Yep. I switched my colors. Thanks for the correction.
Here In Kansas Governor Kelly Is Meeting To Try And Push A Statewide Mask Mandate With No Opting-Out For Counties.. The Woman Is Sick And Is Pushing The “Rockefeller” “Operation-Lockstep” Model For Testing. https://www.rockefellerfoundation.org/covid-19-national-testing-solutions-group/
Drove from Jacksonville Florida to Winner South Dakota and back last week. Saw thousands of Trump signs and exactly 2 Biden signs. My poll indicates an absolute Trump landslide. I suppose the DNC needed to save the printing cost of signs so they could print enough fake ballots
In NC, last night was a prime example of what you see, 20,000 screaming fans, in Gastonia, some who were in line for 2 days, and Comma-la had 50. This morning on local news, they reported the Democrat party purposely limited Comma-la’s crowd, do to the WooHan bio-weapon, is what I hear.
Gastonia NC is western suburb of Charlotte, I live on the eastern side of the city. I have seen 3 Biden signs, all in the same neighborhood and I don’t have the driving skills to count how many signs, for the President, Dan Forest, for Gov., who usually has 4 signs front o back. Dan Forrest for Gov., sign then, ‘run’, then ‘Forest’, then, ‘run,’ And lest we forget the very lucky Thom Tillis.
1 activist Judge schemed a way to give the mail in votes till the Nov.12th, to be counted.
I believe the PDJT voter got the message, to vote in person.
If it’s a landslide, harvesting won’t matter. If it is close, it will.
Huge Trump Rally last Saturday in North Phoenix. many thousands of vehicles and motor cycles
This will be quick because I’m on my way to meet the gym and bust his ass.
Here in central CT, things have shifted since SD asked this a week or two ago. When I reported at the time, I said there were not many signs; Biden was ahead and few Trump signs. Yet, still less Biden signs than Hillary in 2016. Mostly the fat cat houses or upper-middle-class with Biden.
Now- there are more Trump signs. Not by a lot but more. Trump signs are popping up faster than Biden. And it’s the same houses from 2016 that displayed Hillary sings displaying Biden. A lot of local races. I am seeing a lot of Miss Hayes signs here since I’m in her district. I have not seen one sign from her opponent.
For me, what I am starting to notice here in CT- the news stories about CASES of Covid are on the rise. And the tone of those stories is getting direr and direr. I think they are targeting to have a huge spike right before election day so they can declare polls closed. Maybe I’m paranoid, but the number of stories on the news is increasing too fast.
But, at my gym, since I’m about to head there- I have overheard people who I thought were very liberal talking about voting for Trump with the owner. So there’s that….
I live in the bastion of liberal BS.
On Ct coast See more American flags than Trump or Biden signs and more Margaret Streicker signs than Rosa DeLauro signs at least by 10 to1, Rosa is well past her expiration date, Absolutely agree with above post about about Covid and that polls might be declared closed
So, you notice the uptick in Chan 10, Fox 61’s, and the other local POS Hartford station stories too.
Everytime my wife watches the news (local only) and I hear any variation of “more cases” or “an uptick in cases”….I get up and run around the 1st floor flailing my arms around screaming bloody hell “OMG CASES….MORE CASES, WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!!”
My 17 year old laughs his butt off…..my college son at home due to CASES… get’s frustrated because he’s trying to study…
My wife gets so mad….I think I am going on 14/15 days in a row now….I can’t wait until 6pm when I get to do it again tonight.
I am in Morehead City, NC. I had fully intended to vote in person on Election Day, proudly wearing red. But, a co-worker suggested voting early in case we became ill and couldn’t vote. So, my husband and I voted on Saturday afternoon. No waiting at all. Two days earlier, I had gone to the same polling place to pick up a neighbor who was working the polls (for the Tea Party) to attend a President Trump rally in Greenville, NC (my first one!) and the line was the longest I had ever seen at this polling place. All of the folks were courteous. Lots of enthusiasm from those who were working the polls for our side; the other side showed zero enthusiasm. I smiled and said hello to them on my way out, but very little was said in return.
I am in the blue Broward County, Florida. My wife and I voted yesterday. Our early voting site is located in a local branch library. During the last presidential election there was ample parking. We left the house at 3:30. My wife had determined that the wait was 15 minutes. It has been raining “cats and dogs” here unabated for days so the ground is soaked. When we arrived the parking lot was packed (about 100 parking spots). Vehicles were parked in the grass and mud was everywhere for about 100 yards outside the site. The line outside was about 50 people, socially distanced, deep. This is 2x times my experience 4 years ago.
We decided to go to a different early polling location. When we arrived at the regional library there was ample parking. The line was about the same. One voter, waiting for her husband, broke from the line to continue waiting outside and advised us it was 15 minutes to the door. The mood was mixed with laughter, covid distancing awareness, and benign chatter. Once inside the line formed a U of about 100 voters socially distanced. I witnessed a constant stream of voters dropping of ballots.
I listened while a poll worker explained the procedure to cast a drop-off ballot: “sign the ballot and have it witnessed.” While in line a poll worker on a break commented something about the presidency to me. I could not understand her behind the mask and chose not to engage her in a conversation. I estimate that there were 20 poll workers present (Disproportionate along racial lines).
When at the kiosk for identification and ballot receipt, I noticed there were about 50 booths and about 20 were occupied. So, about 150 queuing and 20 voting. My identity was verified, ballot printed and verified in my presence. In all it took around an hour to cast my ballot.
Very few yard signs out at all. Almost none on vehicles. People are in fear of retribution and property damage if they display the “wrong” candidate’s message.
The closer one is to “the city” the fewer signs for PDJT. So called “affluent” neighborhoods have fewer political signs and more BLM signs – ostensibly to fend off attacks and property damage.
In stores, if you attempt to discuss politics, people are constantly looking over the shoulders in fear of offending someone! It is damn sad, but there is “fear in the air”…………
That’s what the DNC wants….fear. Hence Antifa.
Yep. Hence, I switch from bird shot to double ought buck.
No gun in my house. I respect my wife’s wish. But, I have a hunters slingshot, laser sight and some nice ammo for it. I am angling to get crossbow but CT makes that difficult.
She sold my compound bow almost 20 years ago……sigh.
Greenville, SC, showed up to vote early absentee (due to covid) at 8:30 am yesterday, estimate 200 people in line. Took about 75 min to get thru line, when we left there was still about 150 in line. Everyone was chill but I was surprised at the long line.
Minnesota report (from relatives): My historically liberal Minnesota relatives (the elder one has flipped to Republican) report receiving MULTIPLE mail-in ballots per person. The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor party has previously never needed to cheat to win the state, but it appears this election they fear the awakened TRUMP vote and have resorted to cheating with their leftist accomplices to try to keep the state a nasty Blue.
East TN – long lines waiting up to 3 hours. All election workers I know in our area tell me it is the biggest early voting turnout ever by a huge margin. Voters look at the lines, then try to find early voting options in the same county in less populated areas, causing them to back up some as well. My spouse and I voted the very first day in one the more rural locations and were able to get it done in 30 minutes.
It’s not letting up with a week to go in the early voting period. FWIW, our county will be 85+% for PDT and the GOP.
I moved from CA to Texas in 2005. Part of the reason for moving to The Woodlands, TX was the political map (as well as affordable housing, exemplary schools, community amenities, proximity to jobs and culture, etc. The sense that I was getting what my taxes were paying for.)
There are more Biden signs in my neighborhood than I’d like to see, though they are outnumbered by Trump signs. A few in each category have disappeared and reappeared, though theft seems to be at a minimum. There was a Trump train rally at North Shore Park.
Voting opened last week. I went the second day and had to wait 45 min. There was an elderly woman whose grandson was taking to the back of the line that I, and others, waved to the front of the line. I went in 15 min after her but came out at the same time. She was telling her grandson that there was no option to vote straight Democrat. Indeed, straight ticket voting has been eliminated in Texas.
While in the voting booth, I had the sense that one of the workers was looking over my shoulder. I don’t know that for certain; just a feeling–spidey sense. The machines are the same ones that caused a stir a few years ago for registering false votes. There is no paper trail so I don’t know whether they can be trusted.
I ordered a Trump flag two weeks ago and it never arrived. I’ll have to check into that.
Norther VA, Loudoun County here. Loudoun is SUPER TRUMP, SUPER local Candidates. Flags everywhere. Cars, yards, fences, medians. ZERO Biden flags/signs. I’ve seen one BLM flag on a truck. That’s it. We are going to get rid of the leftist pukes that were voted in last time. VA is going red. I work in Tysons VA. A dem strong hold. I have seen a total of 6 Biden signs. SIX!!! When it was Hillary, there were flags everywhere. VA is going RED. ZERO enthusiasm for Biden. NONE.
My parents voted in Fairfax, VA last weekend and were the first ones in line. They said the lines never even got super long. The only reason they looked long was social distancing. Fairfax is the lions den for the left. That means the left isn’t turning out. My folks were the first ones to cast their vote for MAGA last Saturday.
Time to take back our state and take back our COUNTRY…
Sarasota-West Coast Florida. Reports from poll workers at the mall. Early voting steady lines all three days/average waiting 45 mins. This is un-precedented! PDJT won narrowly here. More reps registered, but behind in vote by mail. Now catching up steadily. Looking good!!!!!!!!!
This link is a great tool to analyze Florida by county: https://joeisdone.github.io/florida/
Thanks for this link harissalobo . Cape Coral here it’s been 1-1.5 hrs in line at library. Wife & I drove there with filled out absentees in hand drove in, handed to deputy manning drop box, watched him insert, close, re-opened for us to see, he handed us 2 “We Voted” & drove away. took all of 2-3 mins. Much support here for our MAGA
Trump signs abound in my county in NE Fl. not the small yard signs, yuge Trump signs.
Cars and Trucks flying Trump Flags.
I know some on twitter were saying Trump was losing seniors but that’s not true here in my county.
My neighbor is 73 Years old widow, she had 40 of her (70 and older) friends for breakfast last Sat. to celebrate PDJT, they are all about Trump!
We’re going to MAGA in my county!
Alabama here. We don’t have early voting here. President Trump will win easily here, but the Senate race is the drama here. Doug Jones flooding the airwaves-not so much from Tubberville. He has a couple of ads targeting Jones’ positions on abortion and guns and I think they’re effective. Jones has received a lot more money than Tommy, 60% coming from outside Alabama. Largest donations from NY and (shocker) Washington D.C. Tommy won’t debate him. Jones has tried to smear Tubbs, but given the level of corruption we see, it’s nothing.
I live in an affluent county just outside Birmingham/Jefferson County. In the “old money” neighborhoods, it’s all Jones and Biden signs, placed next to the “Hate Has No Place Here” signs. Trump and Tubberville signs in the neighborhoods where people work for their money. There’s a huge increase in the number of American flags on houses and in yards. The last poll I saw (if you believe the polls) has Tubbs up 18%. Jones will win the big prize-Jefferson County, but this state has many other large counties, rural towns, farms, etc.
Tubberville should win, but people have got to vote. Turnout was abysmal in 2018-no one wanted to vote for Roy Moore. Will never forgive Bannon for promoting him. If folks show up, the seat should flip.
Voted in Pinellas County, FL. yesterday after lunch, had to search for spot in the parking lot!. Took about 1h15 minutes total. Line was even longer when i got out. Hold up was the handing out of ballots, they were printing them individually as you checked in, I guess because there are too many local races and everybody is coming to the same location for early voting, they can’t have ballots for all the precincts?
The lady running for local county commission board was talking to people in line, she’s going to be there 10 hours a day every day. One guy was passing out GOP suggestions flyers, most people before and after me took it.
There’s an amendment to require citizenship and residency to vote in FL (voted yes) and one to allow jungle primaries (voted no, saw what that did in California). A local one about county taxes for school, voted no.
In Souh County Sarasota the que outside is half way around the county building. Probably 200 people outside. I have been in line about 15 minutes on the west (shady) side and have moved about 90 feet. Will update after I have cast a vote for truth and reason.
Yesterday @ SRQ mall, about 150 people. Did not wait, will try again in a few days.
Just voted. People admitted in groups of 5. A couple counted as one. Nonmasks to masks wete at least 5 to 1. Line now has more masks.
Don’t believe the hype about Trump losing N.C. I’ve been tracking the stats here and the trend continues to favor Trump (trend is R vote is steady and strong, D vote was rushed early but now is waning each day as they’ve spent their votes). More R voters yesterday than D voters…first time that I know of that happening during early voting. With the trend of waning D votes, Trump will at least equal perform 2016 meaning he wins here by 173k. This assumes the same demographic breakout of votes in 2016. Even if D vote daily totals run an average of 95k a day for the rest of early voting, Trump wins by 120k votes. The worst quasi-realistic scenario applied to the current numbers of Trump getting 86% R vote, 5% D vote, and 48% I vote…he would lose by 125k. We’re in good shape here. But vote!
BTW, In my base case I’m assuming Trump gets 92% R votes, 8% D votes, 52% I votes verses Biden getting the inverse for R/D and 38% for independent. In 2016, indys went 53-37 for Trump with 10% other candidates. Trump got 8% of D vote.
Reporting from the socialist, sanctuary state of RI:
Not much chance of Pres. Trump winning this little state, but Pres. Trump has many supporters in little Rhody. We’ve had boat rallies, and “back the blue” and the President rallies. Local radio talk shows are lopsided, with most callers in support of President Trump, and against the crazy left.
I think Pres. Trump will get a higher percentage of votes than last time in RI. I like to think that my vote will count toward the popular vote, anyway, even though I live in such a Democrat controlled state, which hasn’t voted for many Republican presidential candidates in its history . I would love for the DJT to win the electoral college AND the popular vote.
The RI sec. of state sent out absentee ballot requests to all registered voters. The Supreme Court sided with her in removing the requirement of two witnesses or a notary required to witness an absentee voter’s signature, because of Covid-19 hardship.
We started in person, early voting on October 14th. I know local TV news reports showed some lines the first day, early in the day. The sec of state twitter update from yesterday says 94,875, or 11.7% have already voted, by mail or in early, in person voting. . .
My family is still on the fence about voting early, or voting on election day. This early voting just seems weird to me. Election Day should be Election Day, I think in my old boomer mind.
Progressives are targeting town and city councils to gain footholds, We have more young progressives running in my community than what I call “normal”, smart people. The sec. of state has actively campaigned for some of these progressive candidates. We currently have a good council, and I hope and pray that many of the incumbents get voted back in.
I’m in Atlanta suburbs – Alpharetta, Roswell, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs. I drive a lot for my business and I see a fair amount of Democrat signs, but definitely more Republican signs. Am trying to coordinate schedule to do some poll watching down in the Atlanta area – Fulton county. This is where lots of opportunity exists and Fulton and Dekalb county went blue in 2016. If Trump gets a greater portion of the black vote, then these two counties could go red.
Last night on the radio Jay Sekulow was talking about a new supposition of GA going blue. Sundance’s article the left – big Tech, media all trying to create the facade of winning was perfect timing. My husband and I would be very surprised if Trump lost here as well as David Perdue. Jon Ossoff is running against Perdue and I hear and see few ads, but lots of ads about Ossoff taking Chinese money – Club for Growth I believe.
We are in 6th district and want Karen Handel to get the seat back. Lucy McBath offers gun control to the state, that’s it. I have seen about two McBath signs compared to hundreds of Handel.
Voting started last week, it was crazy and lines most of the time but this week has definitely tapered off in the areas I mentioned.
Prayers for our country and for Trump and the Republican party.
In the meantime, there is always wine!
Man, I can’t stand McBath. She is such a liar. Her false tv ads run non-stop. First, she does an ad bragging about how she worked with President Trump on some legislation for veterans. Now, she’s got an ad criticizing Handel for supporting Trump, and lying about pre-existing conditions. The Republicans in Georgia and nationally have done a crap job countering the pre-existing conditions talking point.
All they need to do is point out President Trump would pass a deal covering pre-existing conditions in a heartbeat, but he wouldn’t get ONE SINGLE DEMOCRAT VOTE FOR IT. Just because he’s Trump.
Columbia County GA — Conservative county. Steady lines all day during two weeks of early voting. I think we’re running about 50% ahead of 2016’s in-person early voting numbers with no sign of letting up.
Central Md. here; Last time I reported Hiden/Heiress signs springing up along the secondary arteries to the eastern shore, sort of an “upper intercounty connector” of sorts; Well, yesterday, they were gone!
No new Trump/Pence signs have appeared in their stead, however.
Lastly, our polling/voting locations have been restructured, we now do not have an assigned voting location, now it is almost all of the schools, mostly high schools, in the area, that you can go vote at.
I’d consider this a disadvantage, I believe they have catered to the typical leftist lazyisms.
TRUMP 2020 and beyond, Baby!
Voted in Nashville, TN yesterday. Took about 45 minutes in all. Voter Id was well verified, but then we put our completed ballots in a computer scanner, and off it went into cyberspace la la land. It does appear as though the original ballot dropped into a lock box. A receipt system would be so simple, but no political will exists to make that happen. We see Biden signs in about 10-15% of the yards. No Trump signs. Perhaps a good number of homes without signs support MAGA. We do see US Flags in 10-15% of the homes. These are DJT supporters, I suspect. Nashville proper usually goes blue. There were TWO unopposed State Rep Dems running (I voted in 5 contests yesterday.) No GOP option for these two. The TN State GOP are completely MIA. I’ve written twice and gone once, in person, offering my volunteer help. Not ONE WORD back from them. TN GOP execs have to go!
My family and I are looking to get out of Georgia when I retire in a couple of years. I’ve thought about Tennessee because I want to live somewhere that will be reliably conservative for the coming future, but I’m concerned about the number of establishment hacks like Corker and Lamar Alexander that tend to come out of that state. Also, sounds like Nashville is going nutty Left.
Winnebago County Wisconsin started early voting on Tuesday. Yesterday afternoon there was a line going down the sidewalk outside the county building. Today it should be raining all day; will see what it is like.
California entertainment/Hollywood “conservatives” like Roger Simon and Ben Shapiro have recently moved to Nashville area. These are good guys, but time will tell. Shapiro admits he was wrong about Trump in 2016 and supports him in 2020, but Shapiro has a hard time looking past words, rhetoric and bluster to heart, history, and actions. Insufficient experience I’d say, but he is capable of learning.
Wow! You could be describing Oregon to a T. The State GOP in the last few decades has let the Dems just run unopposed. How is that supposed to represent their idea of “Democracy”. That is the same voting system they have in Venzuela.
? Crawled Over Broken Glass Today & Voted T-R-U-M-P ?
Volusia County, Florida has a very large turnout of early voters!
I voted on Tues., early voting. I had requested, and received, an absentee ballot just in case I would be out of the area when it came time to vote. They had a very strict procedure to turn in that ballot so you could vote in person and they followed it to the letter. I also had to show a picture ID and sign some kind of digital thing. I remember all this, too, from voting in the past.
I live in Lakeland, FL. I went to a town near me to vote. The town is small and maybe more rural. I got there about 10:30 and walked right in. There were people at most of the voting stations and the ballots were paper which we had to feed into a machine that supposedly reads it. I didn’t ask about it, but it looked like there were also some tables set up where people could sit down to mark their ballots. After I picked up my ballot, more people started to line up behind me. When I left, there was a line forming of about 10 people with more cars coming.
Most of the people who were voting looked like they were well over 60 yrs old. I am seeing more signs, a few for Biden, more for Trump, although there are fewer signs than I remember from past elections. I do think people are afraid. I only occasionally see a bumper sticker and it is usually for Trump,
North Jersey close to New York City here…. many Biden and BLM signs. But… 20 miles or so away from the city you see more Trump signs.
The problem is most conservative and republicans I know are scared to put a Trump in front of their home. I don’t care… my Trump sign is out in clear view!!! I’m getting dirty looks, neighbor’s that used to say hello don’t anymore, and I got dog poop ? in front of my home that some scumbag didn’t clean up. It pissed me off, but it also makes me happy that I’m pissing off these “tolerant leftist”!!!
Don’t be afraid to put a Trump sign or flag in front of your home! Don’t let them win! Fight!!!!
Even if Trump wins – the fact that it is even in question spells disaster. Way too many idiots – I have no idea how anyone can agree with the leftist ideas on nearly anything unless they are so misinformed that they are deluded or just have not thought about these things deeply enough.
Anyway, live in Tarrant County, Texas – early voting has been heavy. Once my county turns, I am retiring to a piece of property somewhere . . . away.
George Carlin had a great quote “Think how dumb the average person is and then remember that half of the people are dumber than that!” That’s who we are fighting against, the unintelligent and uninformed and the ruling class who want to control us all.
I know the right has its share of folks that aren’t just acing the Wechsler but at least the are independent and don’t want the government to solve all their problems . . . and they intuitively know that all this Plato’s Republic, More’s Utopia, Marx/Engels crap is just not right.
Panhandle Florida. Overwhelming Trump support here in Bay County as before. We have a private Trump merchandise Store. The owner is growing his retirement fund !! Planning to go to my second rally Friday In Pensacola . Living on the Bay, boat flotillas and flags for The GOAT abound. The Harris-Hiden flags or signs are negligible MAGA. Onward Christian Soldiers!
My husband and I voted this morning in central NC, in a small town east of Raleigh. (We voted Trump and all Republicans). Our daughter will vote tomorrow. We got there at 7:20am, with polls open at 8am. 6 folks in line ahead of us. A few folks came up after we got there. By the time we left, more people were in line. A poll worker lady was greeting everyone, and etc., and we asked her if they had been busy, and she said they were really busy last week, but now it is just steady all day. So, that is our report.
Just drove through Brewster County Texas, largest county in Texas at 6,192 sq miles, 9,145 people. TONS of Trump signs, flags yard signs. Now you probably won’t see another human for the whole day but ranchers are firmly behind Trump. Trump signs, flags on almost all ranch gates. It was an amazing thing to see.
Might be where I am headed in a few years – maybe Jeff Davis, not sure yet. Gotta work on my scorpion anxiety though.
Southern New Jersey, Gloucester county. Our town and county voted Trump in 2016 and it appears based on yard signs it will again. Problem is dictator Murphy and all the New York transplants in North Jersey.
My family, my friends, colleagues, acquaintances, all but a few, and those few now converted, are all voting Trump. Some by mail, but many more will in person. Some even voted for Hillary in the last election.
Here in California Im seeing something Ive never witnessed before. The Latino vote is strong for Trump. I witnessed weeks back a Trump rally in the small farm town of Salinas, in California’s Central Valley. The rally was held at the edge of town, near Star Market, at the entrance to the 68 highway which connects the ultra-rich liberal elite coastal towns of the Monterey Peninsula with the poor and impoverished agricultural towns in the Central Valley. There was a massive crowd of Latinos with many speaking Spanish and very little of anything else. They are voting for Trump.
When I travel the Reservations of the lower Colorado River, from south of the Laughlin dam all the way to the Mexican border I meet often with many Native Americans and the majority of their tribal members are voting for Trump. I was presented a quote from one of their Medicine Men, who still sings in their native language of the Salt Trails that tell of the path through the Mojave where water and safe passage can be found. He told me, “Donald Trump is a not a man OF the people, he is a man FOR the people.”
I live in a Trailer Park for old geezers, out in the Far West. … My State has almost 1/3 of the Welfare recipients in the USA. … Many young people wanting to work at good jobs in private-business have hopped on the Trump Train, and moved back East. +[Good jobs, affordable houses, good schools, low taxes, and sane neighbors.]
The vast majority of political signs are for Biden ~ Harris, here at the Trailer Park. … At one Trailer, a Trump sign was stolen, and the owners’ car was also vandalized with graffiti. … It’s almost humorous to think of old geezers making their getaway, on their low-speed electric-scooters, while braying like members of the Jackass Party.
It’s perfectly understandable, why displaying the American Flag has become a political Trump sign. … I can attest, that a person, just bicycling around for exercise at the Trailer Park, can be pointed at, and called a “Trumpee” ~> by devotees of Biden ~ Harris.
I am in Norcal and only a very few Biden signs and an occasional Bernie sign. No Trump signs out because they would be vandalized, two houses flying flags on my block. One brave soul out on the highway has “A tycoon is better than a tyrant” sign out but it is repeatedly torn up.
The irony for those destroying the sign is that they prove the point of the sign being displayed in the first place.
The stolen Trump sign was replaced with a ‘Law and Order’ ~> ‘Vote Trump’ sign. The one with the blue line on it, for ‘back the blue.’
In a Del Webb Sun City community with approx 2000 homes, Trump sidns outnumber Biden by 2 to 1. Early Voting started last week and line is long. But I would say Georgia is remaining red based on the heavy turnout of apparently trump voters.
I live in Stokes county, a rural area of North Carolina just south of the Virginia line. The area is about 70% Republican, and there are Trump signs and flags everywhere. I’ve only seen a few Biden/Harris signs and most of those are close to Winston, about 20 miles south.
I get so many emails encouraging me to go vote early I’m actually considering it, although I normally like to vote on Election Day (just more fun that way.)
Anecdote: My own sister, who is a highly educated medical professional, voted for Trump in 2016 but has turned against him over COVID. Her reason? She is horrified President Trump downplays the seriousness of the virus contrary to the gospel preached by “experts” Fauci and Birx. She considers them rock stars.
She watched every minute of every daily coronavirus taskforce and hung on every word. As she describes it, the doctors and epidemiologists would present factual information supported by data, and then President Trump would take the stage and go off on a riff about what had just been presented demonstrating a serious lack of understanding about what had just been presented. She specifically cited the day when Dr. Birx discussed the effectiveness of various disinfectants against COVID on surfaces, which prompted the president to make his infamous comment that since common bleach is the most effective wouldn’t it be great if it would work in the body to kill COVID-19.
To which I replied, “anyone with half a brain knows what he meant: he’s speaking hypothetically. BTW do you know how chemotherapy works?”
Luckily, she lives in Tennessee which is deep red and her non-vote for Trump won’t matter. And she’s planning to vote for Kanye not Biden, so there’s that.
I should add: Despite being a medical professional (a physician assistant, sort of a doctor lite), her critical reasoning doesn’t seem particularly strong. She has been working from home with only limited time in her medical practice since the lockdowns began, and spends a lot of her time “doom scrolling” (her word) reading all the scary COVID-19 research in medical journals. When I pointed out that unless you are a geriatric patient with a co-morbidity you chances of dying from COVID-19 are only about 1%; nearly everyone who gets it will experience nothing worse than a cold, and a fair number will be asymptomatic and never know they had it at all. To which she replies, “yes, but we have to protect the vulnerable people … and the long term effects are serious and mostly still unknown.” I pointed out that locking down the entire country, wrecking the economy and destroying people’s lives for the sake of the very small segment of vulnerable people over 70, is like burning the house down because the dishes are dirty she replied with a version of “but if it saves only one life …”
Impossible.
1) So she thinks Kanye would know better how to handle covid than the President?
2) Does she know anything about Sweden and how they’ve handled it and the results which are only now showing up as the rest of Europe undergoes a 2nd wave and Sweden isn’t?
3) Does she realize that the states with Democrat Governors and some of the most strict mask mandates and lockdowns have the highest death rates per 100,000 residents (NY, NJ, MA and CT)?
4) Does she realize that it is not just President Trump that has broken with Fauci and Birx, but medical professionals with credentials equal to theirs? She needs to check out the Barrington Declaration.
5) Does she not understand that social medicine is the end game for Democrats, and that has been demonstrated worldwide to lower the quality of healthcare for EVERYONE, not just the poor?
1. It’s a protest vote; she believes Trump will win Tennessee no matter what.
2. She believes the propaganda line that Sweden’s policy has been a disaster, and they’re now admitting it was unscientific based on political considerations, they were wrong and now they’re coming into line with other European nations (not exactly true – but that’s what she believes.)
3. “But if it saves only one life …”
Well, I understand stats and numbers. I can read. And I can deduce. And the numbers and data don’t back what your sister believes or what Fauci or Birx have been putting it out.
This is what I say to people like your sister (my SIL is the same way): Think about it this way- the virus you claim to be so deadly. Oh, so very deadly that you need to be oh so careful is only found when people go and get tested or they are forced to get tested. Let that sink in. It’s so deadly and dangerous you have to get tested to even know you have it.
In fairness: At a 1% death rate for healthy individuals, COVID-19 is much more deadly than nearly all other infectious diseases in the Western world, which are very close to zero. But even so – it hardly justifies the extreme and destructive countermeasures.
Consider that: In a group of 600 people (say, a graduating class or the workforce at a factory) 5 or 6 are expected to die. That’s a lot more than we’re accustomed to.
1% wtf stats you looking at? There are less than 12000 deaths FROM COVID…far less than 1%.
For people under 50, the risk is less than 1% (well below); for people 50 and over it goes up.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-age-sex-demographics/
Most people don’t realize that until the age of modern antibiotics after World War II it was very common for people of all ages to get sick and die; far more common than it is today. I think the statistic is that 1/3 of all the humans who ever lived died of tuberculosis and there was not an effective treatment for it until around 1950. Before then tuberculosis was a death sentence. A long, drawn out, slow death sentence.
But nowadays, the expectation is nobody will ever get sick and if they do they’ll never die. Even old people are expected to go on living and living forever.
This is interesting. I know a doctor in the liberal SF Bay area who thinks the Covid hysteria is political BS and we should have been targeting the vulnerable. Her hospital has been a ghost town and is laying people off. She doesn’t wear a mask when she socializes. She is close to retirement and says she is “moving the he!I out of CA”. I think medical professionals’ opinion of PJDT’s response to Covid depends largely on their predisposition to him. I know healthcare professionals who support the President. It’s funny, I live near a hospital now and every day in the park I see a dozen or so people in scrubs, about half masked and avoiding my presence, the others with masks below their chins smiling and laughing with others. I’m guessing there are some diverse political opinions. Even though your sister voted for PDJT, I wonder if perhaps she never was a true supporter. Like you said, glad her vote won’t matter in TN!
