Well, this is interesting…. very interesting…
U.S. Attorney John Bash, from the Western District of Texas, was given the responsibility by AG Barr of looking into the illegal unmasking by Obama-era officials in July of this year. Not only the illegal unmasking of General Flynn, but more extensive unmasking. Today Bash announced his abrupt resignation. “Abrupt” because he announced today, and he leaves on Friday. However, he does say he informed Barr last month:
SAN ANTONIO, Tex. – U.S. Attorney John F. Bash announced today that he will resign from the Department of Justice on Friday, October 9, 2020, at 11:59pm. U.S. Attorney Bash issued the following statement:
This Friday—eight years to the day after I first joined the Department of Justice—I will step down as United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas.
Last month I accepted an offer for a position in the private sector and informed the Attorney General of my decision. I tendered formal letters of resignation to both the President and the Attorney General this morning.
I am grateful to the President, Senator John Cornyn, Senator Ted Cruz, and the other members of the United States Senate for the opportunity to serve the people of Texas. I am also grateful to former Counsel to the President Donald F. McGahn II, who gave me steadfast support throughout the nomination and confirmation process, and to former Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli, Jr., for first bringing me into the Department in 2012. And I am honored that during my tenure as U.S. Attorney, the Attorney General has seen fit to entrust me with significant responsibilities and to appoint me to his Advisory Committee.
[…] The Attorney General has elected to appoint Gregg Sofer to succeed me as U.S. Attorney. Gregg is an inspired choice. He is a veteran Department of Justice attorney, serving first in the National Security Division at Main Justice and then for over a decade as a national-security specialist in our Austin office. In the latter role, he built a reputation as a dogged and tremendously effective prosecutor.
In 2018, I selected Gregg to serve as our office’s Criminal Division Chief, where he designed and implemented significant improvements to our operations, oversaw thousands of prosecutions, and provided me with invaluable advice on a range of important issues and cases. Since early this year, he has served in Washington, D.C., as Counselor to the Attorney General. He will make an excellent U.S. Attorney.
Attorney General William Barr offered the following statement:
I offer my gratitude to John Bash for his service as United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. Since 2017, John has successfully led one of the largest U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the country. John has made significant contributions to the Department of Justice, including his service on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee. I appreciate his service to our nation and to the Justice Department, and I wish him the very best. (link)
John Bash is one of five known U.S.A.O.’s who were tasked to provide supplemental support to the John Durham probe. Specifically Bash’s objective originated after the extensive unmasking of Michael Flynn was discovered; however, that objective was expanded in both scope and time as explained by AG Bill Barr on July 28, 2020.
At 01:40 of this congressional questioning by representative Jim Jordan, Bill Barr provides an outline of what John Bash’s role and responsibility was as assigned. The video is prompted, just hit play:

It would be highly unusual for a U.S. attorney to resign in the middle of a very important aspect of his investigative responsibilities as assigned by the Attorney General.
Something about this is not passing the sniff test at all…
Sundance… you are being coy but you know (and so do we) that your little visit to DC was as you would term “as subtle as a brick through the window”. When “they” realized that you know and that we know all of a sudden everything went into “uh-oh” mode.
I now agree, did not back then, that they were rapidly going to a white wash. When they recognized that the “largest and most read blog on the web” was on to them it became clear that something needed to happen.
When the history books are written there will be reference to many anons including yourself. thanks
Suspicious cat has bird in mouth 😉 I agree
Sundance’s nose must be more sensitive than mine. The stink emanating from Barr’s DOJ is so odiferous, I can’t smell any ADDITIONAL “stink” from this latest development.
There is this, and the gal two weeks ago, who resigned from Durham’s investigation.
Are these impediments being removed, or just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic?
I sure don’t know,…and we’ll see if we EVER know.Barr already said the investigation would depend on the results of the election, in a Baritomo interview, months ago.
This absolutely stinks. John Bash’s wife is Zina, who rather famously made a name for herself during the Kavanaugh hearings. She’s One Of Us, for sure. And one needs to look no further than his replacement to understand what really went on here:
> Shortly after news of his [John Bash] departure, Barr named Gregg Sofer as Bash’s successor. **Sofer was a counselor to Barr** and worked in the Western District of Texas office for 12 years. He was also a trial attorney in the **National Security Division at Main Justice** and **worked in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.**
Keep in mind that the NSD of the DOJ was **specifically excluded from inspector general oversight** during the Obama administration.
Whatever John Bash found, he was not going to be allowed to release it, and he “resigned” – either in protest or forcibly.
right the old.
‘if you dont like it you can leave’
Those “institutions” Barr is protecting must be pretty important. /sarc
At the very least, these resignations place delays since newly assigned persons need to get up to speed and ferret out the goblins hiding in the thickets.
What is up with this? Did Barr tell him to stand down as Barr’s done so many times, protecting these criminals?
The latest “Dog & Pony” show in the “Hall of Mirrors” that is the DOJ.
IMO
Maybe Bash didnt want to end up in a West Texas hunting lodge suffocated by his own pillow.
Mark Steyn has a column today about Mark Judge, Brett Kavanaugh’s friend, who refused to turn on him during his confirmation hearings. Mark Judge has been totally black-listed. He used to be a freelance writer. Now, he is working as a dishwasher. Literally.
A totalitarian state is descending on America like an avalanche. If Trump loses, the great settling of scores will begin. Tulsi Gabbard, Alan Dershowitz, Jonathan Turley: all Democrats who broke ranks, will pay. Trump and his family will be charged with everything short of stabbing Caesar. The persecution of Republicans, like all tyranny, will be fickle. Romney may be first in line, he may be spared: he has not purchased immunity by his perfidy, like he hopes.
The crushing of all dissent is, far and away, the objective. Leftist ideas are madness: if no one says so, they become wisdom. That, that is the bottom line.
One area where I disagree with Sundance is that we are in the majority. I don’t think cancel culture could be as widespread and effective if we were a majority.
My favorite Greek Mythology figure is Cassandra. Cassandra was blessed with the gift of foretelling the future by the god Apollo, but cursed after she would not accept his amorous advances. Her curse was that no one would believe her, even when she was telling the truth.
As your comment correctly states, a totalitarian state of tyranny is descending upon us and there are few options available. Note that I said “few”, but not none.
As basic human nature and social interaction has not appreciably changed in at least 10,000 years, our options are quite obvious: we defeat (eliminate) our enemies who lust to control, dominate and enslave us, or meekly acquiesce in submissive servitude. It’s not more complicated than that.
Blackballing those who try to do right is a reality.
Or light the fuse and step away into private practice where you’re outside the blast radius when it goes off.
If one had access, it would not take long to look at computer activity logs to see who was accessing what. Investigating the extent of the illegal activity may take time, but once a corrupt official made the list, they’re on the list and the number of times they made illegal requests simply becomes an egregious multiplier.
That is what I think so far, too. As Bash’s statement says, Obama’s solicitor general brought him into the DOJ. Perhaps he saw evidence of a lot of bad behavior by the Obama administration and decided not to be around when the blast he sees coming goes off.
Or maybe the investigation is complete, just awaiting word from Barr to release it. Is this our October surprise? Perhaps Bash wanted to seal the deal on a new position in the private sector and clear the area before the bomb goes off.

Of all of the complicated moving parts that create the DNC/Clinton/Obama/Brennan/Comey Russian Collusion Delusion, I always felt the unmasking part would be absolutely the easiest to resolve. It’s all there- all of the evidence, which exact computer user requested which name to be unmasked. It’s punishable by law and it’s all straight forward. So what on earth has been taking so long with that? Especially with the unmasking of General Flynn! If there were ever a huge red flag for AG Barr to look at… Paging Ric Grenell!!!
not really – because the names associated with the unmasking DENIED they did it AND LITERALLY LOOKED SHOCKED it happened under their name.
the AWAN Scandal is the Secret. HACK IDEA was to clean up and move the laptops and phones (designed to sync to phones within a certain range collected passwords and data).
the Mystery Pakistani operation. Huma – Anthony.
Never thought of that.
Ryan and Pelosi both snuffed out the Imran Awan investigation.
Well it’s simple until you include one entity. The same entity that sent shivers up the spines of those involved in the impeachable Ukraine phone call may likely have been an entity acting as a “contractor” in the 702 database unmasking. Who…Crowdstrike?
yep
AWAN was just to get the data. i theorize it went into 2 servers
1) Hillary
2) Obama’s
When Hillary was compromised – they transitioned to the crowdstrike server. Seth saw more than voter regs. roles.
BrenneOrganJumpsuit twitter account has a Crowdstrike contract the same time as this…
FOIA denied.

thoughts?
Untouchable, for now.
I maintain it wasn’t “Biden” that was at the root of the concern in the Ukraine call. We hear about “Hammer” but what is it, where’s the backbone, who wrote, who maintains / maintained it? I think the easy conclusion is that it’s the 702 db, but that can’t be the case. Pdjt must win, without full disclosure on this matter the Republic is dead. You think AG Barr understands the gravity here?
702 db has a death TARGET on all who walked the land.
only one way to save us – is to VOID the db as compromised – and start over. all data within is fabricated and black mail with it is useless.
then militarily collect and execute every blackmailer white the Chief is offsite (choclate caking)
I always felt the unmasking part would be absolutely the easiest to resolve.
EXACTLY!!
Piece of cake.
ANY Name other than PAGE, PapaD, Manafort, Flynn…
HAVE NO LEGITIMATE EXPLANATION.
NUNES exposed this MARCH 2017.
Oh and the “nefarious” Flynn stuff wasn’t even “unmasked”.
The stench surrounding the illegal profession will really overwhelm when PDJT wins in November and can then force some issues … Gina/Chris — get your resumes updated … Barr — unleash those indictments.
Bartiromo pressed Grenell on Gina’s lack of action and Ric seemed reluctant to press the point … wonder what’s cooking there.
I agree Trump will win, but I disagree that the election result will known in November. I think it will not be finalized until January, and will probably be decided in the House, where each state gets 1 vote, and even in TODAY’S house, we have 26 votes to win. In the meantime, civil war!
There’s only one way we win and that’s opening individual eyes and hearts to reality and truth.
As Christ meets us one on one, it will be every ‘one’ eschewing the false ballots, every ‘one’ voting for peace and goodness every ‘one’ embracing life and liberty.
I am indifferent on when it will be decided but if it drags on you are correct on the process. Next to nobody knows this process that is why they keep saying Nancy will be installed in the meantime. That is not even remotely close to the process. If by dec 7th they can not certify a states vote then they are Null and void so congress can move on. If there is not enough to get to 270 electors then it falls on the house to USE THE STATE DELEGATIONS TO VOTE. 1 vote per state and you are correct we have 26 now but we will see after the election we may lose 2 but probably no more. People need to reference the election of 1800 and 1824 i believe they were where this very thing happened.
We have 26-7 *now*. The House vote would be taken with the new numbers. Pelosi is focused on the priority of winning states that will shift the balance. Has anyone heard the GOP is being strategic in the same way?
Well we treepers can be strategic that way.
Donate directly to House races in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Small amounts from every treeper might add up and help. Or make phone calls to those states. Or work if you are in those states…
I think these are the two states to be most concerned with, correct?
I don’t have a reliable site for each state’s election forecast… I know, such honesty is in short supply!
If the election is null and void, then so are all the down ballot races including the Senate and House races. So how will “new numbers” be involved?
Can the election really be accepted for all other races, but not the Presidential vote? In the Gore/Bush election there was just the Florida “hanging chad” fiasco so all the other states could be certified for Congress and other down ballot votes.
This could get interesting, eh? Let’s not only hope that there is a landslide for President Trump, but also work hard to make it happen.
After clerking for Kavanaugh and Scalia he worked in private practice at the law firm of Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher in Washington, D.C., for four years. He then served as assistant to the U.S. solicitor general from 2012 to 2017, arguing 10 cases before the Supreme Court. That was followed by a stint at the White House.
What has Gov. Abbot said about AG Paxton? Many Texans are very annoyed with Abbot and his mask mandate and think Paxton would do a better job as Governor.
Sorry, it is Dan Patrick, Texans are wanting as governor.
Not Dan Patrick. We want Allen West. Abbott has turned weak kneed, answering only to the Lib mayors.
I agree! Allen West.
No matter how much truth there is or is not about his problems but Paxton is a disaster waiting to happen. He still has the investment law suit hanging over his head, brought by some potent folks from want to be snob land Plano,Texas and now 7 members of his staff turn on him. He not exactly governor stuff or very electable at this point.
LT Gov. Dan Patrick has laid low after offering a different opinion vs Abbot’s current kissing the hind end of the Texas Media and Dallas County Commissioner Clay Jenkins (the media’s darling as gubernatorial candidate) with respect to the Sham-demic. Patrick is the most likely to challenge Abbot.
Given his record, Bash could be angling to be elected Texas AG in 2022 and needs to break clean from DC before all heck breaks loose.
he has a family – and its best to leave this to the old men dying soon.
So today PDJT requests “spygate” doc release. Today US Attorney in charge of unmasking investigation resigns.
Coincidence?
No such thing as coincidences.
What is happening and has been happening since President Trump and Malania Trump came down the escalator makes the previous spy novels obsolete…Whoever writes the screenplay will get a mint, Maybe Sundance and his band of warriors!!!!!! Just thinking out loud here!!!!
Why would the investigator need to resign? Can’t wait to find out how dirty Gina Haspel really is!
Maybe the investigator was buying time. Not really getting the job done. Now it’s gotten serious.
As for Gina, she was station chief in London during the coup. Gina knows where the bodies are buried. PDJT knows that too and will keep Gina until she is no longer useful.
Holy smokes, you are right!
Except he turned in his resignation papers several weeks ago.
Read the story.
So Barr said. Could Barr have held the resignation to see how the investigation was going. But why wait till after PDJT requests release of unmasking docs?
Not accurate. He turned in his formal resignation to AG Barr and the President this morning. He states he accepted a private sector position last month and informed AG Barr at that time. Not that any of it matters, fact is it short notice in formal terms.
I think what I need to know now is who is Lucas Issacharoff, and Gregg Sofer, and how the will play in to the investigations. The ones leaving are water under the bridge… I ‘ll have to research the ones replacing them to know how this is going.
In a sign that shows just how deep the swamp is, while Comey was defending his seemingly treasonous acts, his son-in-law, ****Lucas Issacharoff****, was named lead lawyer for the feds in Manhattan on the Ghislaine Maxwell case.
He’s married to Comey’s daughter Maureen.
You gotta be kidding me!
Nope. Hes sppt on.
How the heck do you edit… spot, not sppt.
Democrats NEVER recuse themselves.
That cannot happen.
This needs to be transferred to a different attorney.
Who thinks because the name is different, we would not find the Comey connection?
That’s how ignorant they think we are.
Very tired of being made to be a fool by those having much to hide.
Maureen did a commendable job in charge of the Epstein Case AND the triple homicide weightlifter bartender who was his assigned room mate at the Jail, caught with a cellphone in his old jailcell earlier …I am sure her good practices will follow lucas as well
Thankyou
Aaarrrgh! Want to know all about what’s what in D.C.? Look at the spouses. Can’t remember who said that, but it certainly rings true.
Issacharoff is Jim Comey’ son in law.
Well that doesn’t sound very good… who let that happen !?
they are settting up the DEFY THE PRESIDENT’S DECLAS ORDER because HE LOST the election and is just a lame duck.
the GLOBE STATE is invested in stealing this election at all cost.
Excellent insight, WB. Jarring when seen in print, but true all the same.
Maybe this is a nothing burger, but Barr made a statement regarding Bash resigning. PT, to my knowledge, has not. Odd that PT would not have also made a statement about the resignation.
That might be a clue as to which side Bash is on.
If Trump made a statement then the press would claim he had his fingers on the scales of justice.
Nothing odd at all, Presidents do not make public statements whenever any of the 93 US Attorneys may leave govt service.
WHY Bash is leaving and what he leaves behind (in terms of investigation status) we simply don’t know at this point.
But it means nothing (imho) that President Trump has not commented. For a cabinet level officer or a close White House aide, sure. But no president will issue a statement upon the departure of any one of hundreds to thousands of mid level to lower level officials.
One thing to consider, besides the fact his investigative team is, as far as we know, still intact. They are professionals and can bring the new lead up to speed. Another thing to consider is the most likely minimum, probably much more, of tripling his income. He has a lot to offer to major law firms and they pay these days, in Big Law, where he is headed, is exceptional; government pay, not much.
And Kagan should have recused herself from ruling on it too.
I remember distinctly how bad Virelli was. We all thought for sure the court would strike it down.
And remember how Scalia used part of the original decision draft from Roberts when he wrote what ended up being the dissent, allowing people to see how Roberts changed his vote at the last minute. Scalia outed him.
This was supposed to be a reply to an earlier comment about him working for Virelli.
The tentacles of the swamp run deep. This would have been better run by an SC with 16 angry republicans.
As we use to say….
Stay tuned —- Film at 11.
The swamp has offered coffee and donuts in exchange for him delaying further, the exhibits we all desire to see…
“The swamp has offered coffee and donuts”
Some of us don’t like coffee and donuts. The ones that do certainly don’t like the Swamp’s coffee, brewed with cesspool water, or their donuts, which are covered with mold and fungus instead of icing and powdered sugar.
I just want them all to choke on their collective breakfasts!
Sundance, here is the “sniff test”. Something is rotten in Denmark and AAG Bash does not want to be the one tagged with prosecuting Obama administration officials. He would never find work in the private sector, ever, if he did.
He clearly wants to live a relatively stress free life and still get invited to cocktail parties. He saw where this investigation was taking him and he didn’t want to go.
No. He just wants to live and he wants his family to survive. “They” have threatened him and his family. Take it to the bank!
Guy wakes up in the morning, finds a horse’s head in his bed, decides on another line of work.
Works every time.
Vince Foster…… Phone call for Vince Foster…… Vince Foster please pick up any white phone……..
Maybe it is time we have a CTH journalist who goes out representing CTH and interviews people and reports the truth.
If we have 200,000 members then surely a few bucks by all could fund our own honest journalist.
Imagine if the CTH journalist got 15 minutes with Bash or Jensen or Barr or PT and the questions he could ask.
We’d embarrass the mainstream media in seconds and probably gain thousands of readers overnight.
I’d be in for a double sawbuck!
You volunteering, Bogey? You have all the questions !!
Start the “Honest White House Press Corps” with Chanel Rion.
I’d throw in the first round of $ — I’m on board — oh, and what are you doing next week Bogeyfree? Have gumshoes, a pen, and a notebook? Hired 😉
BF, I’m usually totally sync’d up with you but “We’d embarrass the mainstream media in seconds …” I really don’t think that is possible, and certainly not in seconds.
Precision matters…C TH braintrust would run circles around them and certainly show them up, but I doubt they are programmed to feel embarrassment!
Bash has appeared twice on FOX. Once by himself and once as part of a panel of four. Both times he looked scared, and like someone pushed him out in front of the mic and he didn’t want to be there. Sorry I can’t remember the topics or who was interviewing him. I was too invested in feeling sorry for him, like maybe he had never been on TV before and wanted to get out of there NOW!
He must have been threatened.
Or given a job offer so lucrative that he couldn’t refuse or if he did his wife would not stay married to him.
I’m also wondering who he or his wife is related to. Many of the people in Gov’t are related.
His wife is the lovely Zina Bash, who has worked at various times for POTUS Trump and also Texas AG Paxton. She was very supportive of Kavanaugh and was photographed behind him during his confirmation hearings:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zina_Bash
We must HOPE that US Attorney John Bash completed all of the necessary investigations of “unmaskings” and has left the case in sound hands… otherwise, his departure is a disaster and/or indicates nothing is going to happen. BUT, we really don’t know at this point…. he might have accomplished a lot and handed it off, we simply don’t know yet.
As for private sector work, top positions in corporate “General Counsel” type jobs can pay $500K to $1 million per year, and more, depending….. so it might be as simple as he decided it was time to cash in…. we gotta hope the public is not getting screwed here but we just don’t know at this point.
Tanks for the info. ?
One big happy family, eh?
That was my first thought.
Additionally, his district puts lots of drug operations, cartel members, traffickers, etc. behind bars.
At 39 years old, having the largest district/jurisdiction in the US, it seems a sudden resignation would either be threat or illness. I have never read anything (factual) about him that has lead me to believe he has bad motives. Same for his wife.
As for Ken Paxton, he is a stellar person and is a fighter. I need more facts, but the current situation reeks of a hit job. He is a genuinely devout Christian and it would be an extreme disappointment if he was doing something illegal.
I’ll be watching both of these situations with great interest.
Yikes!
It’s a stretch but maybe Mr. Barr was not pleased w/ the progress of said investigation. Perhaps he a member of the big club but found so much stench he knew he couldn’t provide cover and decided to scram. Could be he hit his retirement date and decided he wanted to spend more time fishing.
We’ll hear something in the next year or so.
Wait and see where he goes. That’ll be instructive.
Thanks for getting this fixed. I can log in again. I think there is some inside info to be revealed yet.
I’d be curious if his house in Austin is already up for sale?
I can’t imagine an honest, honorable US attorney would leave behind an incomplete investigation. Particularly given the circumstances and number of innocent people involved. My gosh, it seems there is no way out!
Abster,
I’m gonna go way, way out on a limb here. Do ya think that maybe, just for a finstant [half an instant], that between CTH, Judicial Watch, ACLJ, Sidney Powell et al, and the handful of honest journalists and Government investigators/pols, that Bash just finally threw up his hands and said ‘wth else do you people need to see???’.
We have no idea if he left the investigation incomplete. Unmaskings have a paper trail. He may very well have finished
So,….Removing the outsider and installing a swamprat insider who was in place at the dc national “security” division during the time period being investigated…?
The replacement definitely smells like a rat…..
A swamprat, to be exact.
Barr too maybe…if this maneuver was his idea.
What a punchable face, surely a resistance operative.
Again, here is the Prediction I am making–
PDT WINS in a Landslide that means no matter how many mail in ballots they find, it wont matter.
The next day PDT FIRES Chris Wray and Gina Haspel. He tells Barr to get people Indicted NOW. He also tells Barr he is directing ODNI Ratcliff to DECLASSIFY AND RELEASE ALL Docs in these probes that have been hidden.relevant.
Same time, he announces Ric Grenell to CIA with ONE Directive: CLEAN HOUSE and refer for Prosecution.
Nunes goes to FBI with the same DIrection.
sydney to FBI…she actually worked for DOJ, she knows how to root the corruption.
This is the second time she has exposed it from this side of the line. Imagine what she could do with actual access.
You need a person skilled to be able to bend a large hostile organization to your will. Running a law office vs a sprawling bureaucracy are two different skill sets. Look what happened to Zinni @ Interior and Pruitt @ Energy. They will sabotage you. So you can’t bring just one person to change a massive organization. The middle management will ignore you. That is unless you have a kick ass HR person who will put in letters of reprimand, suspensions and performance improvement plans to have the organization middle management move to your goals. So I would pass on Sydney Powell. As the head of NSD I could get behind that.
I have been in several organization that had an outsider come in and run it. The first thing they did was bring in a few trusted people as their posse. So you need several trusted lieutenants to make the organization move. This is the problem Trump had at the start of his administration. He didn’t have enough trusted people to put in places of influence. Session could have been an okay AG focused on immigration if he had a trusted Trump second in command such as Rudy or one of his people. Instead we got a careerist in Rosenstein. Also it took time for Barr to get is people in place. Now he is exerting direction within the DOJ.
So who to bring in to clean up the FBI? If Barr brings indictments, anybody he wants. I believe that he will bring indictments. That Hillsdale speech is too strong a marker in my opinion. If he doesn’t bring indictments and is replaced, I would say Bernard Kerik the former NYC police chief.
I would endorse Grennell @ CIA. No other person comes to mind. I would keep Nunes in the House of Representatives if the Republicans get control of the house and give him the powers that Schiff had. Ho Boy!!! That would be a show to watch.
Why wait? FIRE THEM NOW! They are a part of the coup! GET RID of THEM NOW! BE a BOSS! Screw McConnell, appoint interim directors/bosses. You get at least 3 months doing that. Make the most of it.
I hope you’re right! I followed Rasmussen polls in 2016 which predicted POTUS’s win when others predicted Hillary in a landslide. At the time, Rasmussen said they identified many silent Trump voters. Lately, Rasmussen is reporting Biden is leading in their polls, which worries me greatly. I’m not an American so I’m not on the ground there, but I get the sense that not nearly as many Trump voters are shy this time around when it comes to declaring their choice to pollsters or to put out lawn signs or have Trump parades or declare their support for POTUS- in fact they seem vocal and defiant! At the same time, Democrats are certainly not taking a Biden win for granted this year, so it’s guaranteed many more of them will vote than in 2016, if for no other reason than to vote against Trump. So on what do you base your optimism that POTUS will win, especially in a landslide? I need something solid to cling to!
At the same time, Democrats are certainly not taking a Biden win for granted this year, so it’s guaranteed many more of them will vote than in 2016, if for no other reason than to vote against Trump.
No. The D party is no longer a monolith. The walkaways are many. Every PDJT rally counts many D’s and independents attending. I have met some here even in blue MA who are not Biden fans and not enthusiastic at all.
And there are all those black and Hispanic votes moving to PDJT.
And there are all those normal suburban voters who don’t want riots at their door.
There is still a big base that can truly be called the DementoRats, but don’t let the yellowstream media/swamp persuade you that it’s anywhere near as complete as they project it to be. Not this time.
Cam, my wife drove from CO to MA about 3 weeks ago and said there were 10 Trump signs for every Biden sign. Here in MA people who support Trump never let on they do, and won’t answer polls. Don’t believe the polls, they are in the tank for the swamp.
Hard to say whether any poll can be trusted. One would need to scrutinize all the internals, and I am not doing that this year. If there is a silent cohort of Trump voters this time around, it may be in the black and hispanic communities, for the most part. Who knows?
What about some folks to go into the same position as Tom Fitton is headed to in DC for the other areas of the country ? A lot of judges need to be gone imho.
There doesn’t appear to be a clean, straight forward, honest, law abiding area in the justice department. It all needs to be taken down. The reality is every 3 alpha agency needs to be dispersed.
“Last month I accepted an offer for a position in the private sector and informed the Attorney General of my decision” doesn’t say Bash told Barr of ‘his decision’ last month.
Kind of deceptively ambiguous, like the DOJ FISA court submissions.
yes it does … that “offer” most likely had a very short shelflife and a big number … they offered, he accepted and told Barr … the swamp just bought him off to put up a roadblock … pretty straightforward actually … its all a delaying action …
Seems like he’s a cleaner.
Watching FOX news is so horrible. Chris Stirewalt and Robert Wolf says that Trump has not been serious about COVID. Are you kidding? Who has done more? I do think that now late in the game, Trump needs to streamline his message. Anti- China, Pro-America.
Stirewalk is one of the worse.
The first time Biden on stage tries to talk about American jobs, he needs to be BLASTED!
Like Page and Strzok, Weissman and Rhee, Mueller and Comey and McCabe and followed by Boente and Wray, we continue to see the small circle involved in all things Clinton et al related.
So disturbing. And where are the whistleblowers?
This original Bash resignation, about a month ago, appears about the same time frame as Durhams long time female associate. It would appear that’s when the rubber hit the road.
Barr brought the DC Attorney into his Advisory Committee too, and then took away DC position. So don’t read into that. I think Huber there too.
I keep thinking about Loretta Lynch stating, “we got the right people in place” and Obama saying, “we need to have the right people on this”…..
It’s deep and if Biden wins, nobody who reads this site will ever trust our FBI or DOJ for a long, long time.
Let’s guess: “An offer he couldn’t refuse” with the purpose of slowing the investigation down so that no results of this relatively easy arm can become public before the election.
Just another wild guess. We cannot tell yet whether we have enough courageous men to stop the coup and restore Constitutional government.
Walt39, THAT is probably the best guess I have read. Either this or life/family threatened, either way would get the same result.
I apologize for posting this here, but I still can’t get into the website without the error domain coming up. I have to go in through twitter. I do not have a word press account. Can someone offer some assistance?
Clear the cache in your browser. Worked for me in Edge, didn’t have to clear saved passwords either.
Following the recommendation, (Am Using Firefox w/ windows seven), cleared cookies and cache, and was back in business.
I use Firefox on my laptop, and did a cookies and cache clean-up. I can now access the site from my old bookmark, but the bell is missing and not sure about accessing comments…
Yes, clear out cache and cookies. Fixed my Firefox.
I guess I’ll catch H*** here, but I love AG Barr. He’s calm, cool and collected. For me, it’s obvious by the public statements he has made that he is on to what is going on.
I’m not ready to write him off just yet.
There will be plenty of time to throw excrement before they close the rest of these sites, if Barr proves to be a traitor. I’ll wait and see.
You know, if I was that young and saw all that the DC Scum live by, I’d want out too. For all we know Bash could have been put off by Barr.
Bash is a rapidly rising star in Texas of formidable natural talent. The increasingly bizarre and rather incredible tumult surrounding the present Texas AG presents a tremendous opportunity for someone of Bash’s youth, background and abilities. If Bash is going to make the leap into state politics, he needs to do if from private practice in the Texas legal community. The window is small and now is the time.
I suspect we are not only looking at the next Attorney General for the Great State of Texas, but after a decade or so in that position, also the future Governor of the State of Texas, and after that, potentially, a future President of the United States.
Interesting perspective. Thanks, glissmeister.
Perhaps he completed his limited investigation into unmasking shortly before and after the election? When was he appointed, late June? Shouldn’t take too long to determine who unmasked who. Barr said unmasking itself is not illegal but could be “problematic” if done numerous times and for no valid reason. The big defense these days is “no intent “, so the unmasking findings just might negate that defense.
Late May
“Barr said unmasking itself is not illegal but could be “problematic” if done numerous times and for no valid reason. The big defense these days is “no intent “, so the unmasking findings just might negate that defense.”
I posted earlier that is why Sofer would be expert as teasing out bad intent vs. “stupidity”. I concur with your reasoning.
Hey Barr,
How about you outsource this simple assignment to someone who can actually complete it?
My suggestion is your replacement, Sidney Powell
“Last month” could’ve been less than a week ago
Suspicious cat
He was either:
Blackmailed by the Deep State DemScum
or
He discovered criminality of a friend/colleague
Do they think we are stupid????
sniff test results:
. notice whom bash recognizes for his intro and rise within the department.
its not rocket science. there are no mysteries to solve.
he performed the investigation and it led with additional.material record evidence of a conspiracy all the way up the food chain to obummer and his vice.jackwagon. AND it showed certain.members in both.house and Senate intel committees were aware and had.been informed. some even offering suggestions on how.to dope it for.good.measure.
mostly…the riddle is solved by realizing.evidence.that.doj.and.fbi.were supplying legal and non legal assistance and cover to wh on not merely.unmasking.rules and.how.to.move around.them…but.theuvh earlier widespread UNLAWFUL non.fisa executive.level spying on MANY up to and imcludung trump.
bash “did his job”… and now leaves the work product with BARR
and barr. will.bury.it…using it only for leverage…he now has MORE markers…
Barr has ESTABLISHED his own.private.secret.police…
trump can complain…or.he can.fire.him.
the latter is the correct decision… simultaneously…wray.
twofer.
sniff test… done…no.mystery
I read that:
It says that his job was complete, and maybe the heat would get even worse inside the belly of the beast…so the best option is to step away.
HUGE! Chief of Staff Mark Meadows Announces President Trump Has Requested Declassification of Critical Spygate Documents including Danchenko Interviews (VIDEO)

Requesting and getting them in timely manner are two different things. These people are totally defiant. They seem to answer to no one…and get away w it.
Can the remaining team pick up where Bash left off?
Thinking further, Mr. Bash found things he didn’t want to deal with.
So, either they finished early, and sat on the results until after the election, or…
They never really started, just puttered around all summer, waiting for a change in administration.
Or, they could have finished, buttoned up, report done, indictments ready…. tick tock.
On the Ockham’s Razor end of the spectrum, perhaps the simplest explanation might be that there is NO important investigative responsibility assigned to Bash, at least as we would like to understand it, the Jordan clip notwithstanding. Hence his unencumbered departure. That’s something to consider.
On the Q end of the spectrum, perhaps he is leaving for a lucrative defense attorney role, with insider info, for prosecutions he knows are coming.
Somehow, I would tend toward the former.
I’m feeling like Mamet’s comment about Democrats having to act as if they don’t know something that they do know is beginning to apply to members of the Trump Administration and to his supporters as well. Barr knows he told Jordan he’d asked Bash to look at all the unmaskings. Then Bash resigns, Barr appoints his replacement, and crickets about the supposed unmasking investigation. Durham goes into pre-election silent mode. Bash rides into the sunset. Will Sofer step up?
President Trump ordered more declassifications. Maybe something will happen there?
I’m still reeling from the disclosure that Brennan told Comey and Stzrok about the Russian’s assessing that HRC had signed off on creating a scandal alleging Trump Russia collusion. No mention of that anywhere in IG Reports, in Mueller Report. And Stzrok was apparently Chief of the CIA’s Counterespionage Section throughout his time running the MYE and Crossfire Hurricane investigations “under cover” at the FBI. Gina Haspel doesn’t want to disclose because the record shows that the CIA was running the FBI’s two biggest political investigations of our time, while using other assets to cover up HRC’s crimes, and to frame Trump and Company, and while Biden was laundering big bucks bribes from Ukraine, Russia and China through his son.
What else are we supposed to pretend not to know? That CIA Strzok offered Patrick Byrne a billion dollar bribe if he would introduce his Russian spy girlfriend to all the Republican bigshots so they could spy on them, and/or perhaps to keep quiet about his role for the FBI? What billion dollar bribe was that, Patrick? Peter? That Crowdstrike finally testified under oath that they never had any evidence that the Russians hacked the DNC server, despite the IC, the FBI and Mueller relying entirely on them for that conclusion? That Weiner’s laptop has all of HRC’s emails, plus evidence of “crimes against children,” and has apparently gotten itself disappeared by CIA Strzok after he sped read them all and found no new evidence? That Imran Awan ran a business called Cars International of America (CIA for short) while providing IT to the entire Dem Congressional Caucus and also maintaining close ties to Pakistani Intelligence, left DWS’s laptop in a phone booth, and got his wrist slapped. That Seth Rich is still murdered, and his laptop also got disappeared by the FBI?
It is very difficult to know these things, and have your friends and family dismiss them all as conspiracy theories. We are half way to Marxism, which already apparently controls our CIA.
1. IF… IF…. Barr is running a legit inquiry that will be seen to prosecution, this is THE CASE OF A LIFETIME for a US Attorney. Career suicide to quit.
2. There has not been enough time to finish an investigation of this case. That will many, many months, if not a year. The FISA abuse goes back for years, probably to 2009. He has barely had time to get started.
3. My guess is that Barr told him that if Obama is implicated, the entire case will be deep-sixed, as would the career of any prosecutor leaking or whistle blowing about the case. Bash peeked under the rug and saw Obama ring-leading it. He’s getting out and getting paid before anything can be leaked and he get blamed for it.
He’s comped.
