All of the policy advisors to the president who arrived for dinner consumption, and opinion expression, are advisors who view action through the prism of politics.
General Stanley McChrystal, and David Petraeus have more knowledge of ISIS strategy in their little finger than all of the aforementioned policy wonks combined; not to leave out Bob Gates.
So what does that tell you about tomorrow’s grand speech and presentation ?
Valerie Jarrett, Denis McDonough, John Podesta and Tony Blinkin are the insufferable inner circle who will construct the “optics of action”, but that is all it will be, “optics”.
