The signs have been visible for a long time; you just need to pull back from the media noise to see them. {GO DEEP} This announcement does not come as a surprise to us.
You might remember that both the U.S and Russia spoke of strategic partnerships surrounding the energy sector. Obviously, this makes sense when we consider the “west” is actually fractured on the topic of energy. There are two competing interests that overlap in the financial side of the issue, the ‘trillions at stake’ aspect. (read more)
I cannot explain this to people who are infected with TDS, but the essential summary of what was likely to happen was written 3 weeks ago – SEE HERE. President Trump is purchasing Russian diesel directly from the wholesaler, Vladimir Putin. The purchase is from now until April 1st, 2027. Trump is buying diesel at a discount, not market prices.
[SOURCE]
(VIA TRUTH SOCIAL) – “I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter.
Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST!
Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter.” President DONALD J. TRUMP
On one side you have the “climate change” team, those who are fully invested (literally) in the financial mechanisms of the climate change, green new deal, build back better talking points. The Green Energy team in the west. The Paris Climate Treaty and carbon-trading proponents et al.
On the other side you have the pragmatic energy team in the west. These are the Trump-minded and aligned western perspectives that look at oil, natural gas (LNG), clean coal and nuclear technology. These are the “all the above” aligned voices in the more pragmatic view of low-cost energy production and development.
In the middle, between both sides of the fracture, are the banking and finance systems. This is the BIG MONEY play, with the Climate Change team supported by banking ideology inside the city of London, while the Carbon Use team is constantly having to assemble finance and insurance from outside the banking control mechanisms.
The Climate Change team have support based on ideology within the finance system. However, the Carbon Use team have the advantage of low-price outputs, global dependency and actual profits as leverage. This is a fight essentially inside the larger energy sector, and we are all very familiar with it because it has been happening for decades.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is currently the main tool deployed by the Climate Change team on behalf of the London finance system. Carney’s main opponent is U.S. President Donald Trump.
(VIA CNBC) – President Donald Trump said Friday that Russia will supply more than 4 million tons of diesel to the global market under a deal he struck with President Vladimir Putin during a phone call.
Russia will immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel, followed by 500,000 tons in November, and 1 million tons immediately thereafter, Trump said in a post on Truth Social. Moscow will then deliver another 3 million tons of diesel based on the condition of Russia’s refineries, Trump said.
The Treasury Department temporarily waived sanctions on Russian diesel through April 2027 under a general license issued Friday.
Diesel prices have surged around the world as Ukraine has pounded Russian refineries, forcing Moscow to ban diesel exports to the global market. Iran and its Houthi allies have also attacked refineries in the Middle East, further constraining fuel supplies.
Trump is under growing political pressure to take action to reduce fuel prices ahead of the November midterm elections. Republicans are facing competitive elections in conservative strongholds like Iowa where farmers are feeling the pinch from high diesel prices.
But the president has few options to reduce prices given the destruction done to global refining capacity by the wars in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Trump flirted with a diesel export ban last month but ultimately relented after the oil industry and big business warned a ban would just raise gasoline prices.
The president issued an executive order earlier this week that allows truckers to use tax-exempt offroad diesel on highways without worrying about federal penalties. But the order only defers the tax obligation, creating confusion about whether truckers may have to pay up at some point. (read more)
Notice it’s diesel specifically for the USA market.
Here’s the big picture. I outlined this likelihood on September 22nd:
Behind that curtain are the traders, speculators, ideological banks and financial systems who create the finance system for the energy market. Want to stop oil exploitation, change the lending requirements to favor windmills and solar panels etc. Not coincidentally changing these lending rules and regulations was Mark Carney’s former job. Does that sound like an open market approach?
Thus, when you really understand how this pricing is structured you begin to realize the price of diesel has nothing to do with the supply of it and the price is more controlled by those who wish to generate financial -or political- outcomes from it.
You don’t have to take my word for it, review the words of the world’s largest oil/gas producer about this rigged game. {SEE HERE} Wouldn’t Vladimir Putin be the subject matter expert?
“How, in fact, is the price of gas formed on the European exchanges? It is not determined by producers, but by exchange traders.”
In essence, right now “the west”, specifically Americans, are paying fuel costs based on market commodity prices. The most recent examples are oil, LNG and now the headline leading, diesel fuel. However, the actual supply of diesel fuel is not driving the price. The price is being driven by speculation and trading, which is based on arbitrary price formulas created by western multinational corporations and financial markets.
Right now, Russia is overproducing diesel fuel, and shipping it out of the country to allies. Yet diesel prices in the west are determined by commodity traders, and the pricing mechanism is disconnected from the supply. {SEE HERE}
This is why Secretary Bessent essentially said yesterday, he was “evaluating” calls for a U.S. export ban on diesel. Bessent knows it makes no sense to halt U.S. exports of diesel fuel, because (a) the US has no ability to store it, and (b) if we produce more than we can store, that doesn’t lower the USA price.
Our US diesel supply doesn’t lower the US diesel price because the price is set by market traders, by the western financial markets, not by production or supply. There is a disconnect. It’s the same reason why Oranges grown in Florida cost the same as Oranges shipped into Minnesota. Local supply does not determine local price; the rigged commodity market does.
The USA could be swimming in diesel fuel and yet the price at the pump remains $6/gal. (read more)
So, what did Trump do? He skipped right over the market!
I think everyone who reads CTH can well understand the nature of the telephone call between President Donald Trump and Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. Both are clear-eyed leaders who understand each other’s geopolitical contexts and objectives. There is no pretending between Putin and Trump.
In related news:
Presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will meet with Ukrainian negotiators and European officials in Miami on Friday to present “new ideas and proposals” to break the stalemate in the Russia-Ukraine war, U.S. and Ukrainian officials say.
Why it matters: The Trump administration is hoping to reach a diplomatic breakthrough ahead of the midterm elections and before brutal winter weather grips Ukraine.
-
- One of the ideas is a partial ceasefire that halts attacks on energy infrastructure and grain shipments. While Ukraine has said it’s willing to take that step, Russia has shown little willingness.
- “They are all nervous about the winter. It will be a tough winter if the war does not stop. So the U.S. is trying to mediate with the sides, with the goal of creating a unified proposal,” a U.S. source said.
[…] Witkoff and Kushner might travel to Moscow later this month for more talks with Putin, a source with knowledge said. (more)

So stupid to let Russia slip fully into China’s orbit. Biden’s legacy.
Did you not read the above?
Congratulations SD! You were all over this.
Yes he was
I think that was also part of the Bushies legacy also.
Remember the Romney and Obozo answer to who is the geopolitical threat to the US.
I know a guy who just retired from the Air Force and during that debate he told me there was a lot of older guys in the military who had scores to settle with the Russians.
USAF SAC Vet here, Cold War warrior. Brought the MX Peacekeepers online, could obliterate a dozen cities per missile.
Would’ve turned the key to incinerate millions of Soviets.
I have no score to settle with Russians. I’d ask the guy who just retired from USAF to show you where on the doll Putin touched the older guys.
He wasn’t one of those guys.
He had no beef with the Russians.
I was on the USS Los Angeles with a few guys that were from the Cold War era but I can’t recall anyone really having a beef with them.
I remember when the Kursk went down a lot of us sub guys said prayers for those dudes that sunk to the bottom.
A lot of us were highly upset that we weren’t allowed to try and get those guys out until it was too late.
Yes, misread that at first, edited.
Yes, there is camaraderie among warriors, no matter which side.
Relative is on USS Asheville now. Los Angeles-class sub. I have a squid in the family.
Yes, there is interbranch camaraderie, too. We raz the other branches but come together when it gets real.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your service.
On US/NORAD Spacecom TDY to Moscow in the 1990s you could buy USMC emblemed Zippo lighters taken off dead marines in Vietnam in their open air markets.
There is a reason some old vets won’t forget.
I spent years watching at radar sites and inside Cheyenne Mtn for anything the USSR launched.
The diff is the USSR is no more. Just like China, trade and respectful relations reduces risks of confrontation.
Yes, not nice to see or think about, but as far as war conduct goes that doesn’t exactly shock; all sides always take spoils, plenty in US ranks have done the same. Ebay has ’em.
We haven’t had the drop-down drag out (un)civil war-type history with them. Proxies, sure. Hmmm…where are US proxies fighting nasty uncivil wars against Russians today? Maybe some Russians have score to settle with Americans for what we’re doing on the Steppes today?
Thank you for your service.
so either the speculators start to sell and prices go down…or they’re left holding onto overpriced fuel…correct?
and now POTUS can say see, both Putin and i want lower prices and the war to end, why doesn’t Zelinsky?
Losing their shirts would serve them right for price manipulation.
Zelinsky and his puppet masters we refer to as the coalition of the willing are probably going to do their best to send drones to destroy this from happening. They could care less about lowering costs of fuel. And their idiot net zero carbon agenda requires they do this.
I am sure PDJT has planned this out already.
What is the point of Zelensky if peace is achieved…which it won’t be.
If it were, then he’d have to hold elections…elections which he suspended “because of wartime”. As a dictator now, he is the EU/NATO sock puppet. And as such, he is safe.
The archetypal useful, deeply corrupt idiot who at least knows his well being is secure as long as this proxy war can be maintained.
Otherwise?
Well….
They’re selling the 60, 70, and $80 feature they bought months ago. If they bought both crack spread hedges and crude hedges, that is where they are making their money.
Most of these hedges are sold by small oil and gas companies. Chevron and Texaco barely hedge anything.
The small oil and gas companies have to hedge. Otherwise, in a down cycle, they will go bankrupt. But they also have the ability to out drill their hedges, and sell in the spot market or into today is much better futures market.
I read article today about how one company was unable to out drill their hedges and just told the customers that they were not yet producing. Which allowed them to sell? into the higher spot price market. The fine I believe is up to $172 million.
Baby steps to a U.S. / Russia alliance.
Critical component of implementing the American System.
This energy agreement between the US & Russia destroys London’s and the globalists grip on power through energy pricing. The EUnuchs are going to vapor lock over this deal.
They already are.🫠
We export 180,000 barrels of diesel every day to EU and UK.
That is what put them in meltdown mode last week when
President Trump was talking about Export ban.
Then he told them to start using up their reserves.
The question is— do they have any reserves? 🤔
The other question is the status of our reserves.🤷♀️

Is an attack on Russian diesel fuel production now an attack against America’s interests? Sure seems like a monumental shift.
Nonetheless, directionally significant.
Amazing solution that will make libs scream at the sky.
Corporatist bought Senate to scream you can’t do that in 3 2 1. Remember they just authorized the president to sanction Russia…..lol.
Actually, can hear Carney and his EU pals hyperventilating from here. Hilarious! The Green New Scam just took a bodyblow.
Will it be enough to drop the price of diesel before the mid-terms? I hope so.
Here’s hoping. We’ll see what happens in the upcoming weeks.
300,000 tons is around 2% of US diesel consumption in a month.
It only takes a small percentage shortfall to spike prices.
Btw, that 2% increases to 4%, and then 6% and more each following month.
We’ve seen that same situation when OPEC raises and lowers production of crude oil.
Price has been dropping here in MN. In the station down the street, three weeks ago was $6.99/gal. A couple of weeks ago it was down to $6.29/gal, and last weekend it was $6.09/gal. Its still wildly high and needs to come down a whole lot more, but trending in the right direction before this news.
How much will the Russian diesel impact us at the pumps? We’ll see.
Would like to know more about Russian diesel and how it is compared to ours and which vehicles and/or machinery its intended for.
I paid about $8.60/gallon yesterday in the Los Angeles, CA region.
That’s outrageous.
At $6.09/gal, I’m quite upset. I get more upset when I look at historical prices and what I remember paying back in the late 80’s (less than $1/gal).
Back in the 60’s my dad had an old boat with a nice Cummins in it. He was radar/radio guy here on the upper Mississippi, so we could buy from the local towboat supply barge. $0.11 a gallon. I know, not really relevant.
I think it’s relevant.
$5.61 at Circle K about 20 miles northwest if Charleston, SC, and we’re allegedly getting some side effects of the hurricane tomorrow, mostly in the form of 3-4 inches of rain, which would normally increase the price.
I say allegedly because I don’t trust forecasters based on past performance AND I’ve prepared my screen porch and deck for it, so it won’t happen, right? Right?
Gas at Shell is $7.19 in San Diego today.
One of the best resources I use is AAA fuel prices.
AAA Fuel Prices
It starts at National Average.
Then you can put your State and get average.
Then you can find your area and break it down further.
It lists cost of different grades of gasoline and also diesel.
Then it breaks it down into how much cost that day, yesterday, last week, last month and yearly. It also lists the date and how much the record high is.
Myself, and many friends have used the site for years!
Pretty accurate reporting.👍
$5.70 West Palm Beach today
$6.59 last week.
I do not expect the Russian diesel to be materially different aside from the ultra-low sulphur requirements for domestic refiners. Which can be waived.
Pretty sure Russian diesel was imported into some places in the Northeast at times when it was cheaper or supplies were tight from domestic refiners prior to about 2014.
Please never forget that speculators, central banks, multibillion dollar insurance empires and hedge funds investors (collectively all the above control trillions of dollars worth of global wealth) all participate in the rigging of oil prices.
None of the above give two hoots about such quaint ideas like “supply and demand.”
Will prices go down before the midterms? I don’t know. Maybe.
I do know for certain that President Trump is fighting a war against the entire globalist syndicate, and he’s fighting that war on many fronts.
President Trump isn’t even close to exhausting all of his strategies. He still has cards to play.
Don’t bet against him. He’s a WINNER.
We are far better off today since Dementia Joe left office and since President Trump mopped the floor with Word Salad Camel-uh.
We will be even better off when President Trump leaves office as The Greatest President since Washington!
I never bet against my President.
Great post, Bruce! GOAT POTUS without question! MAGA!
Ballots are already out in several states – wish this deal had been announced a few weeks ago, but am hoping the prices will start to drop quickly enough to make a difference at the pumps!
No. See my other comments.
You’d need about two million barrels of oil to make 300,000 tons of diesel.
So, what is your point?
I’ve said it before, but that photographer of the Rubio snapshot needs an award.
Anyone have a conversion for tons to gallons of diesel fuel?
Diesel weighs around 7 lbs per gallon.
1 ton (2000 lbs) ÷ 7 lbs/gallon = 285.7 gallons
The US talks in barrels.
Russia talks in tons, i.e. Metric tons
One metric ton, or sometimes referred to tonne, equals 2204 lb.
The fact the deal refers to tons, infers to me, it a Russian ton, not the US ton.
3,000,000 metric tons of diesel fuel equals approximately 22,350,000 to 22,500,000 barrels of diesel.
• Conversion factor: One metric ton of diesel oil equals roughly 7.45 barrels.
• Calculation: 3,000,000 tons × 7.45 barrels/ton = 22,350,000 barrels (frequently rounded to 22.5 million barrels in market reports).
The refined barrel of diesel adds$100 to the cost. And the US has very refining little capacity available.
Nice SD, you’ve been writing on this a lot and to be watchful of these actions. These things must go into play and beat back the union Jackwad bankers and climatoons
Going to drive the MSM & liberals nuts.
Will Ukraine continue to attack Russian refineries? What happens if they do?
Going to be interesting in many ways.
Will the EU continue to attack Russian Refineries through its proxy Ukraine
There, fixed it for you
Great time to be alive, just a bit expensive.
It is not the bankers. Funny how the bankers here are investing and facilitating all the energy growth. That drill baby drill was financed by bank loans.
The banks in the EU are financing all these wasteful Green Energy scams.
The Governments are driving them on both Continents. Banks do not make policy decisions. Carney is a banker like Kamala Harris is a lawyer. They are both incompetent. Carney was a figurehead at the BOE. He was their DEI Green guy and then was promoted to the top job. Just like Claudine Gay ran Harvard or Sleepy Joe ran the US.
The EU wants to commit suicide and their banks are going to try and stay profitable and out of jail. President Trump wants the US to be prosperous and successful. Our banks will prosper.
Banks do not make policy decisions for countries. Banks follow the policy decisions no matter how stupid and wasteful. The alternative would be a boot to their necks just like the boot to our neck. Our banks made Subprime Loans to people that should not have gotten a loan and especially a no money down loan. The good banks sold the junk. It almost sunk us. Who made the decision to make SubPrime Loans?
Blaming Banks for Green Energy is like Blaming the Auto Companies in Canada for laying off workers and closing their plants. Find the Root Cause not the Straw Man.
The US consumes about 3.85 million barrels per day of distillate fuel oil (the category that includes diesel), per EIA data.
That’s ~162 million gallons/day (42 gal/barrel).
At diesel’s density of ~0.845 kg/L, that works out to ~517,000 metric tons/day.
Note: “distillate fuel oil” includes both on-road diesel and heating oil, so pure transportation diesel is slightly less — roughly 450,000–500,000 tonnes/day.
At the US consumption rate of ~517,000 metric tons/day:
5,000,000 ÷ 517,000 ≈ 9.7 days
So 5 million tons of diesel would cover roughly 10 days of total US consumption — less than a week and a half to two weeks depending on season (diesel use spikes in winter for heating and harvest).
https://leo-ai.brave.app/shared/14da0d4f-e652-499e-ad07-8dbe5fa9657e#KoD4nI4RQo6t0F7sBEs0w6YO71U2MGbjBT6z476UR0o
Spread that out over a 6 month period and it probably amount to 5-6% of total diesel consumption per month. It only takes a small percentage shortfall to increase prices significantly. So reducing that shortfall can only decrease prices.
But you and others, keep on trying to make this seem like a nothingburger. Most sane people know how the economics of this works.
“But you and others, keep on trying to make this seem like a nothingburger.”
What? I’m a big Trump fan and voted for him three times. This is the first time I ever said anything about this matter. You assume a lot!
Do the people who are upset about gas prices really think the Democrats will bring prices down once they gain power? Have voters lost their mind? I guess we’ll see.
And that is what it boils down to. And if they don’t show up and vote or vote the other way, then when things are at their bleakest, they should receive no help of any form.
So…is it likely this scenario was initially planned in Alaska? Remember Russia was not subject to sanctions for petrol that would be on ships already afloat. I have no idea how diesel is formulated or how long that might take. But this is so strategic and the timing no accident.
Putin is an international terrorist.
lol.
If Putin is an international terrorist than Zelensky is this generation’s Churchill.
Random firing of neurons or possibly neuristors?
Troll? Obviously, you are not self-educating.
You wouldn’t say that if your family had been killed by his actions. Someone in Russia needs to take him out for the sake of the world.
Disconnect your cable and read one hour a night… it’s all we ask
Is that you, Zelenskyy?
Not to rain on the parade but would not expect any huge price drops on diesel just yet. This supply is for the American AND GLOBAL MARKETS and I suspect the global market will get a lot of it.
It’s still a big deal and I hope it is ongoing.
Stop.
Trump didn’t buy diesel at “market prices”.
It’s only for the USA market.
How does Putin sell his already refined diesel?
He sells at his price. What the market calls a “discount price”…
Trump is purchasing diesel from Putin below market prices.
Quit comparing the purchase to gas station prices based on market prices.
Thank you for clarifying the pricing.
President Trump did say global markets.
He explained it is the 9.23.2026 he references and linked in today’s article.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/09/23/good-news-diesel-and-gasoline-prices-set-to-collapse-in-roughly-60-days/
Thanks for the considerate response.
My main point that got overlooked is that I hope this will be an ongoing and long term deal. That goes way beyond the price of diesel fuel and could be the beginning of a constructive relationship between the US and Russia.
Right – so the oil dealers sitting on high priced diesel had better start reducing their prices now before they take a bigger hit later.
We love you, Sundance! Thank you for everything you do!
“Markets” are run with a herd mentality… kind of like lemmings over a cliff. Strategic to announce on a Friday with a 3 day weekend to boot. Tuesday will be a hoot to watch.
OK, but the US market consumption is 400,000 tonnes per day for transportation-sector diesel alone.
Well done, Mr. President!
Excellent news PDJT.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is
currently the maindefinitely a tool.I’m getting a bit dizzy from all this winning 🤭
Just as peace is being approached the global CIA vestiges that operate outside US control (MI6) will launch a brutal attack on Russia.
Now it will be just a little cheaper to recharge all those Teslas stuck on the highways this winter.
Is this PDJT vs the CIA and MI6?
Watch the Brits commandeer one of those ships bringing diesel from Russia to America.
I can already see the movie rolling… popcorn!
That is an interesting development. What will the Brits do? What will the U.S. do in response if they Brits do something?
This deal should also put a lot of pressure on Zelenskyy to stop bombing Russian refineries & oil infrastructure, as it now impacts the U.S..
Mark my words: Ukraine will not stop bombing energy facilities in the Russian Federation unless pressured by their EU masters. That pressure will have to come from President Trump via the EU.
According to Nostradamus and my research from the time I was a teenager (LoL!) a US-Russia alliance will come in 2028 when WW3 would be over.
But I don’t think the US would be fighting Russia…
Back in the day the war was supposed to last 27 years. From 2001 (with 9/11) and end in 2028. It would grind slow and start escalating quickly as it got near the end.
My Nostradamus teen years! LoL…
I want to know how Britain and the other countries in the EU are going to be able to build plants that make drones and patriot missiles, etc. when their plants are not allowed to produce any kind of emissions. It’s going to be fun seeing them trying to make a deal with China for carbon credits for plants that make munitions.
Silly here is their power source
That’s perfect! I’m laughing so hard that’s all I can say!!
Another step in the right direction. Russia is more like the conservative side of the USA versus the demonrats and rinos who are more like the old soviet.
I can hear the shrieking of the TDS crowd now: “See – Trump *is* a Russian tool, this deal proves it!”
Brilliant really!
So much for Russian sanctions.
Pretty sure the European Parliament should not have put that obscene statue of President Trump in its lobby. This has to be ranked in the top FAFO hall of fame moves!
Lovin’ it.
3,000,000 metric tons of diesel fuel equals about 22,350,000 to 22,500,000 barrels of diesel.
• Conversion factor: One metric ton of diesel oil equals roughly 7.45 barrels.
• Calculation: 3,000,000 tons × 7.45 barrels/ton = 22,350,000 barrels (frequently rounded to 22.5 million barrels in market reports).
why are we not surprised?
“Are you not entertained?”
Certainly going to enjoy the fits of apoplexy from the speculators.
Market manipulators get the social finger. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving group of bloodsuckers.
WILL Little ” z man ” – disappear NOW ?
or
WILL the ” String Pullers ” NOW BE FULLY EXPOSED by Continuing to Attack the Russian Refineries ?
PAST TIME to SOLVE the problems – HERE and Abroad
All the talk about diesel and less about the not so different #2 fuel oil.
Last I checked fuel oil in the Northeast was tracking well over $6 a gallon with prices projected to go higher once the heating season was in full swing.
This is a big deal for a lot of working class people in my neck of the woods, if the deal includes heating oil. A lot of families do not have 1.2k+ to fill their fuel tank in the short term. Much less higher prices later in the season.
My perspective is that heating oil is more of a Northeast US issue. That doesn’t lessen the pain you and others feel paying the high prices but most of the country uses gas or electric.
I hope the prices do come down. That is a lot for heating a home or business and as you say, a lot of people will have to decide on their priorities .
We also got quite high electric rates up this way and gas is not much better with the lack of pipeline capacities with which to move it to customers within the local markets from places farther south where it is much cheaper. On that last point, foreign LNG is shipped in for the natural gas plants keeping the lights on.
All energy up this way is more expensive then it needs to be, mostly thanks to green scam policies.
I hear ya. It’s expensive everywhere.
Yeah, I live in the Northeast and use natural gas for heating, cooking, drying, and hot water.
Since all of the Northeast has decided to make their bed totally with Democrats in Congress, I have no sympathy for the fuel oil users. Whether the price of fuel oil is $1 or $10/gallon won’t change how those people vote.
That blanket characterisation of people in the region is a rather broad brush and less than precise.
I’m not convinced a majority even vote for the clowns. Ballot fraud is a major issue everywhere, least of all in the Northeast.
Dropping off a lot of illegals in communities in the region also goes a long way to backfill for ballot harvesting and generating more voters willing to vote for free stuff from everyone else.
Let’s watch and see how these globalist market-makers respond here. Diesel and gasoline prices are not high because of supply and demand. I think that’s been covered here and other places in detail. The people that control these global commodity markets have a bunch of power. It’ll be interesting to see what their next chess move will be.
Keep gas and diesel high until after Nov 4th. That was always the plan……
I don’t see how this moves the needle one bit unless we’re getting refined diesel from Russia. I have read that Phillips domestic refineries are operating at above 100% capacity and have delayed some routine maintenance.
After oil is refined and separated into diesel and gasoline, the crack spread, what the refiner makes on a barrel diesel, is over $100 right now. It is typically between 15 and $45, or an average of about 25 (average is for both gas and diesel) according to oil and gas reporters. Which is to say, unless you reduce the cost of refining, all the diesel in the world from Russia won’t make a difference to USA prices.
Now here’s where we get really deep in the weeds. If you read the CVR energy, stock symbol, CVI, quarterly report, their average crack spread of two barrels of oil that are turned into one barrel of gasoline and one barrel of diesel, jet, fuel, etc. was $58 according to the last quarterly report. They only captured 22% of that because they hedged their refining costs. Notably a couple months ago their CEO abruptly stepped down. FYI Carl Icahn owns ~75% of CVI.
Regulatory costs accounted for about $17/barrel combined for gas and diesel. The other $28 went to the people buying CVI’s hedges. This is where the market makers/traders are making the majority of their money.
Spot market prices and futures market prices are basically equal to each other per barrel. Increasing diesel supply to the EU, who the saudis stopped sending to, will drop EU prices, as their refineries’ supply was cut. It could also reduce the crack spreads… but only for the EU.
President Trump and president Putin are tightening the noose on the one world order fairies one transaction at a time. A slow and humiliating extinction will be the greatest achievement this world has ever witnessed.
We are getting below market prices on this diesel from Russia, so we need to monitor the oil companies that they don’t mark up this lower cost diesel fuel to existing market prices, thereby keeping prices at the pump to remain high from their gouging.
Russia can sell their oil without regard to market prices, but unfortunately once they sell that oil to us anything can happen with retail prices.
Since this diesel is now intended for the US among others, if little Z were to attack the diesel stores or refineries after this announcement, would he be treated as a hostile power attacking strategic assets of the United States?
Awesome move VSG!
Hopefully this will poleaxe the financial parasites who have gone long on diesel.
Also, the green goblin will now be attacking our diesel supplies in Russia. Perhaps he will really be convinced to stop that.
I’m think of a Russian vacation next summer… lol..
Being that I’m a Kansas boy it brings me joy of the verisimilitude of the Trump/Putin deal and our wheat farmers out preparing their fields for next year’s winter wheat crop!!! Praise Jesus
