But be assured, we are considering this from every possible angle, including that this may be actively committed by proxies or individuals, either knowingly or unknowingly, working on behalf of a foreign state.“
According to the UK Daily Mirror, “The farmer who told police about the suspected RAF Fairford terror plot has claimed she saw up to 10 masked people by the base – as police said five men arrested will be bailed. The woman, in her 50s, from Whelford, alerted police after seeing three vans blocking a road near the base, which has been used by the US to bomb missile sites in Iran, while on her way back from a party. Five British nationals were then arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning on suspicion of explosives offences and later terrorism. The farmer who dialed 999 has now claimed there were “definitely more than five” and estimated she saw between eight and 10 people with their faces covered and wearing “slim-fitting clothes”. {source}
UK NEWS – Five men arrested over a suspected bomb plot near an RAF base have been released on bail, the Metropolitan Police has said.
The suspects, who are all British nationals aged in their twenties and from London, were arrested over potential terror offences in Whelford, Gloucestershire, in the early hours of Sunday.
They were arrested on suspicion of explosives offences and later on suspicion of terrorism offences, after a villager dialed 999 when she saw three vans and a group of masked men near the base.
Dozens of homes had to be evacuated as bomb disposal teams were called in and a cordon remains in place. Home secretary Shabana Mahmood said on Monday afternoon that Whelford residents will shortly be able to return home.
Assistant commissioner Laurence Taylor told reporters outside New Scotland Yard: “I can confirm that following extensive interviews and inquiries, the five men who were arrested are being released on police bail this afternoon.
“To be very clear, this does not mean that the investigation is over. They are subject to stringent conditions on their movement and contact with others. They absolutely remain under investigation as we explore multiple lines of inquiry.”
The five suspects are a 24-year-old from Camden, north London; three men aged 23, 24 and 25 from Westminster, central London; and one man aged 24 from Willesden, north-west London. (read more)

Apparently the woman who reported the ” suspicious activity” rang that number first..no answer.
(Fancy keeping the phone number handy….and finding it after a night out.)
When queried why no one picked up, Streeting (who looked as if he’d been caught out by his Headmaster scribbling on the walls of his school with indelible crayons) didn’t answer straight away…a good 8-10 seconds passed…before he found his voice, then replied that he wouldn’t answer, that the investigation was still “ongoing”.
He didn’t blink once.

If the British government refuses to take this event seriously, so do I.
For over twenty years I kept hearing two things about the Iranians. First, that they were two months away from developing a nuclear weapon. Secondly, that in the event of an conflict Iranian sleeper cells would activate and unleash a wave of terrorism.

Were they apprehended in/near the vans?
Were they caught in possession of any devices or other incriminating evidence that shows actual intent on their part?
Are the 5 who were arrested DEFINITELY part of the larger group spotted by the farmer?
Is it possible that THESE 5 men are “Token Arrests” intended to calm the fears of the general public (and US military/authorities) while the ACTUAL threats remain in the loose?
