In a recent counterpoint posed by Michael Smerconish against his own interests at CNN, ABC and NBC, the pundit was refreshingly honest, albeit maintaining pretense.
Smerconish noted it would be “unfair to the office of the President” to present rebuttal dialogue to a speech they refused to air. He posed the issue as one of intellectual hypocrisy, which it is; however, in reality, that was a feature of the media approach, not a flaw within it.
For several years CTH has noted there is no such thing as mis-dis or mal-information, there is only information. The purpose of our emphasis is highlighted in this example.
The leftist media did not want to allow information to reach their sheeple viewers. So, they awaited the conclusion of President Trump’s remarks and then summarized what he said for the audience along with their rebuttal. By blocking the information from Trump, they limit and control the information to only that which they present. This is by design.
We are seeing this approach in the USA for the same reason we are noting it in Canada. The audience for both messaging systems is the same, blind sheeple leftists. If the source information is never displayed or heard, the only reference is the rebuttal information. This is the same pattern within domestic abuse situations.
A domestic abuser often tries to isolate their victim from family and friends to cut off sources of information or support that could counter the abuse. If the victim maintained contact, it would be harder for the abuser to manipulate them. Some people draw a parallel between this dynamic and the way they perceive leftist media influencing its audience, casting the media in the role of abuser and the audience as willing participants.
The Smerconish segment highlights how wrong it is for any argument to start by isolating, blocking, or censoring the source of information, then spinning their own version of it and offering counterpoints aimed at eliminating the perceived threat of the information itself.
You may have heard me say, “the need for control is a reaction to fear.” This is evident in this dynamic as well. The media have built their brand around a single, fragile narrative that depends on maintaining falsehoods. That brand could crumble if ever challenged by the original source or an opposing viewpoint.
Unless and until people are willing to engage with intellectual honesty, communists are comprehensively incapable of this consideration, there is no hope within the debate. This is a serious problem made worse by the severity of the media’s financial position in retaining lies. WATCH:

Once you know that they are all fake and the news is not truthful, complete, or accurate, it becomes a waste of time.
Occasionally, I watch Jesse Watters or Greg Kelly. That’s about it.
I wish to see them all lose their broadcasting licenses for the next 3 years, if not FOREVER.
Their audience is gone.
I worked for a radio station that was the original license of issue in the region, meaning it was the very first news broadcaster in that part of the state way back in the early days of radio.
It was a source of great pride and we guarded our reputation by upholding the best practices and ethical standards possible when it came to covering and delivering the news. We considered ourselves a community resource, and our license said the airwaves belonged to the public.
If we’d done even once the kind of things we see being done on a daily basis today we’d have lost our license. Period.
It was that way until deregulation happened in the late 80s. That’s when American media became hopelessly polarized. And once amnesty for illegal immigrants was enacted in 87 it was all over but the screaming and the growing spirit of malicious disrespect that has since metastasized into the malignant media we see today.
Opinion replaced fact. Ideology replaced critical thinking. Resentful rage replaced reason and respect.
Things were never perfect, but they were not nearly as spitefully debased and hateful as they are today.

Technically, there is only information. How each person assesses that information depends on one’s personal viewpoints, background, etc. Assessment of “truthfulness” can vary between 0-100 %. Trying to universally categorize the level of “truthfulness” based on arbitrary threshold values is absurd because of everyone’s bias, subjective assessments, etc. Allowing your government the power to categorize information by their arbitrary thresholds is allowing authoritarian control over everyone. Information will be managed to validate their goals and policies.
But even FoxNews, which carried the speech, has their own way of dealing with the aftermath.
Since President Trump’s speech Thursday night, none of the shows has discussed anything related to what President Trump spoke about re: Chinese interference in the 2020 election. And tonight, it appears that the Big Weekend Show is following the same script.
The word has obviously gone out to these shows that any discussion is verboten. I’m waiting to see if anyone on any show has the guts to ignore this censoring.

People often use the argument “we shouldn’t do X, because the Dems will do the same the next time they win”.
These people don’t seem to get it. There’s not going to be a “next time”. If we implement voter ID and secure elections, the Dems will never sniff the White House again, and their party will effectively cease to exist. Without their fraud, they cannot sustain even close to enough support to compete.
This is not just about winning the 2026 election, it’s about permanently driving an illegitimate Party and evil ideology from our nation.

I have friends, and family members, in their late 60s to early 80s, and they continually tell me about stories they saw on either CNN or FAUX News, depending on their political persuasion…when I tell them that they are not getting the whole story, they are either shocked, offended, or both!
I do not know a single person 40, or below, who gets ANY of their information from “traditional” media – not saying they are all listening to unbiased or reliable sources but I do know that they are definitely NOT listening to anything their parents did!
I’m well into my 60’s. Watched the networks reporting on the Vietnam War. There’s no doubt in my mind that two groups of people were responsible for the outcome. Responsible for large number of those KIA and wounded.

someone forgot to tell Julian. he didn’t get the message. If you want to publish the truth, ask for permission from the institutional media titans FIRST. There is no room for raw uncrated truth. We can have none of that.

There is a Legal Precedent in the System of “Legalese masquerading as Law” (the colour of Law), many will all ready know this as “ignorance of the Law is no defence”, which says, in effect, if one refuses to hear what is being said one has no Legal/Lawful Standing to Rebut what has been stated as Precedent.
Darn, I wish I could remember where I read it this morning, but there was an article that said that Bill Pulte was strongly in favor of Trump naming names of deep state scumbags who withheld information from President Trump about Chinese plans to interfere in the 2020 election. Apparently, Susie Wiles was strongly opposed to naming names in Trump’s speech and she was backed by other people in the White House. Bill Pulte was outnumbered, he got nervous about it and backed off. And of course it was always more likely that Trump would listen to Mama Wiles.
In California I received a mail-in ballot with the name John C. Holmes. Wasn’t he the porno actor with the really long……?
If so, he has been dead a long time. I have heard stories of some people having received a mail-in ballot with their dog’s name on it.
Could President Trump run for President again if he transitions to female and she runs as Donna Jaye Trump?
