Secretary of State Marco Rubio gives an impromptu press availability and answers questions from members of media in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The Rubio visit comes as the U.S. is working with Gulf Arab partners (GCC) to construct the second phase of an agreement with Iran. The current terms cover a ‘ceasefire’ and the Gulf Cooperation Council play a major role in the regional decisions as partners to the United States.
“We know what [Iran] agreed to do. Now they’ll either do it or they won’t and if they do the process moves forward and if they don’t the president will have some decisions to make.”…
.

Sadly, I fall into the “they won’t” camp.
These godless fanatics are not swayed by “deals” or deterred by “sanctions.”
They are a cult of death, choosing death over cooperation with infidels.
They simply are not to be trusted.
Negotiate, re-arm, attack. Repeat.
Absolutely. The sooner PDJT gets this message; the sooner a surrender will be forthcoming. Only a surrender will be a deal worth celebrating.
Trump already knows this. Your comment implies that he’s an idiot. Really? Have you not been paying attention?
Trump knows he will have to blow them into oblivion. He should arm the citizens so they can take out the trash themselves.
He may eventually have to blow them into oblivion, but he doesn’t have to now. This is the beauty of an operational plan that gives you all the power and flexibility, you get to act at the opportune time; your enemy must choose between hard and harder.
Surrender would take boots on the ground and the UniParty will never allow that.
Boots on the ground would cost Trump the House and Senate in the upcoming midterms. Here’s another take on what Trump is doing:
Trump’s Iran memorandum is not a surrender or a new beginning—it is the next phase of a strategy built on pressure, deterrence, and avoiding another costly Middle East war.
In sum, the memorandum and what follows are not the end of the story but merely the beginning. What will follow—years of costly Iranian reconstruction, the absence of a nuclear deterrent, the ability of the U.S. to strike at will, an increasingly sidelined Strait of Hormuz, the Israeli diminishment of its proxies, new anti-Iranian alliances, the loss of nuclear patrons, and an even angrier and more restive populace—will not require an Iraq- or Afghanistan-like intervention.
As the Iranians digest all this, they will stop bragging about the memorandum and increasingly try to lie, finagle, and escape their doom loop—efforts that will only ensure further fragmentation and destruction of the regime.- Victor Davis Hanson
Maybe. Hope for the best; expect the worst.
Let the Iranians fight over the little bit of money they get. Watch the pressure build between them. What do you mean we can’t have cash and just get American soybeans and food? Cash was promised, deal off, no deal must remain on, No, Yes, NO, YES. Fight fight fight with each other. Meantime, we get some oil to the world and have time to praise the lord and pass the ammunition. When the optics line up, kinetics can restart.
That IS what the uniparty wants.
not when house and Senate voted to limit Trump’s powers on Iran
It doesn’t matter, do you really believe that Trump has put all his eggs into this basket?
You and me, and Paul are the only ones that know about Iran. Do you see how stupid that sounds?
You have to run the checklist in modern soft America. Relax.
Well said.
Trump know Iran is belligerent.
He needs the whole world to know that Trump is patient and not a war monger and he needs the whole world to see how belligerent Iran is.
Also hes playing some politics for the midterms and keeping blood off the front page.
Trump is not dumb.
But but we’ve lost Tucker! 🫠
No they aren’t suicidal. Those IRGC ragheads have no intention of dying. They’ll put their citizens to death but they have every intention of outliving all of us. Only the low IQ fanatics strap it on and squeeze the trigger.
I like the term turban twisters!
It is easy to be in the “they won’t” camp. Unfortunately the “they won’t” camp have no viable plans to get what they want, total capitulation and regime change. This would require boots on the ground and even the “they won’t” camp refuses to go there.
The people of Dubai do not like the Flintstones but your people of Abu Dhabi do.
I see what you did there, smooth.
😆🤣😂
Iran is at a critical inflection point. If the current transitional leadership can consolidate power and make the strategic choice to prioritize national prosperity over regional hegemony, integration is achievable within a year.
However, if hardliners regain control or negotiations collapse, the country risks total isolation and potential state failure.
President Trump is giving Iran a lot of latitude for them at great domestic expense. Exciting to be alive to see what happens.
Trust in God through our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is already written.
Correct, he is giving them a lot of latitude, because he truly wants to see the Iranian people have a chance.
The great domestic expense would have to be paid no matter what he does; you don’t take on centuries of accumulated power without paying a price of some kind.
It really doesn’t matter what Iran decides to do or what direction they go.
President Trump holds all of the cards. If Iran continues to play stupid games, they will win stupid prizes-courtesy of the United States War Department.
God bless President Trump for giving peace a chance in Iran, while holding on to the Trump Card of bombing them back to the Stone Age.
It’s nice to see people pop out of the sea of naysayers and armchair quarterbacks, that are not falling for the deep state mockingbird operations and seeing reality.
Thanks, Bruce.
Today the wretched anti American Senate led by the worst possible saboteur Thune passed a resolution already passed in the House to limit President Trump’s “War Powers”, his ability to manoeuvre.
Four RINOs voted with the Dems…the usual suspects Collins, Murkowski, Paul, Cassidy (who is still pouting). McConnell and McCormick missed the vote.
What a wretched hive of insidious treasonists occupy both Chambers.
Giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
Thank goodness this only a resolution…
Have there been any statements on McConnell’s condition? It’s been over 2 weeks since he was hospitalized for an unspecified illness and yet no one seems curious about what it is or what the prognosis for his recovery is….
The usual non specific “He’s recovering” cover-up.
Senator John Fetterman (Pennsylvania) was the sole Democrat to vote against the measure.
Fetterman sided with The President.
Yes…he certainly did.
Watch the ho parade start coming out of the woodwork against Fett. They have to get him out.
They’re almost finished stretching his skin around a robot.
McTurtle 2.0 coming soon!
That was my first thought when I saw all the “has beens” at the opening of the world’s ugliest Presidential Library last week! They clearly decided to send the healthiest looking version of Joe Biden, which is, of course, the one who looks the least like him!
What are the odds on PolyMarket that he’s already gone? Or do we just think he’s in a memory care facility somewhere in Delaware under an assumed name?
Someone needs to hold the mirror under his nostrils
Yes, it is utterly disgusting to watch these traitors, Betsy.
Traitor is not hyperbole in this context, as they any of them that voted yes on this are aiding and abetting the enemies of the United States. Nothing could be more crystal clear at the moment, that they are bought by the people who want to enslave us and doing the bidding of their masters.
Iranian authorities are now apprised.
Ammunition delivered into the hands of the Iranian mullahs and the IRGC.
Completely undermining the authority of the CoC, interfering the “negotiations”.
How can we view this any other way?
We can’t.
Rand Paul Mr. Holy than thou.
Congress critters and the Senate dirtbags passed the War Powers resolution to stop President Trump from deploying the big stick. Giving the Iranian fanatics every reason to renege on any agreement.
No, they have done precisely nothing: it is just puffery.
It is not a law, it is a meaningless “resolution” for the Trump Derangement Syndrome crowd.
President TRUMP is Commander-in-Chief and that “trumps” anything they claim to be able to do.
It makes no difference to us whether they do or do not, this is the beauty of Trump’s maneuvering, we win either way.
I sure do like him. “Little Marco” has proven himself a giant.
“This is an issue that has been going on for 47 years.”
Yes. Thank you. Please keep repeating this until it sinks into everyone’s consciousness. President Trump did NOT start a war with Iran. Iran has been waging war against US for 47 years. Obama tried to buy them off and they took the money and laughed at him. We blew up their nuke capabilities, navy, air force, missile factories, air defenses, and made it clear we can keep doing as long as we want. THAT got their attention.
As far as Iran reneging on their agreements, regional countries should have a role to play beyond just providing us airfields. I suspect Sec Rubio is there to hear in person just what their own expectations are for their participation.
Key point, I think: “We are here to hear from them, rather than to talk.” (1:04)
If their leadership decides that they want to be a country, instead of a revolutionary movement … (2:21)
(Whoever, of course, “their leadership” actually turns out to be … Just sayin’ …)
Fellow Treepers – If there’s one person on this planet who’s earned our trust it’s President Trump. Where has he failed us before? When has he led us astray?
For my part I’m confidant he has a well-contrived plan and I’m good just letting it unfold.
The mid-terms are fast approaching. Energy prices are falling – not the sky (unless you’re IRGC) – so let the Prez and his team work. He’s been brilliant up to this point. Do you think that will suddenly change?
Don’t you think he’ll have a few surprises up his sleeve before the fall election?
Yep!!
Hang on a cotton pickin minute—- now chill whilst the neighbors take over babysitting… they have so much to gain by keeping iran in line (surround and cut off support- the ancient”kill the body, the head will die” routine…
Just like boxing
Let Trump cook
