Yesterday
I’m beside myself with worry.
We are going to keep fighting no matter what.
Fighting and praying is what you do best JWoo!
Full ninja mode ❤️
Prayer request on preceding page please.
I believe Savannahs swelling has gone down overnight slightly. She can open her mouth wider but range of motion is not restored. Her white blood cell count has increased and fevers persist. ENT Team of 4 came in this morning. No one wants to push surgery but if they aren’t doing to do it today and try one more day of heavy antibiotics, I’ve insisted on nutrition immediately. She’s been malnourished three days with 11 month history of malnourishment and she’s not going to the bathroom properly. Urinated twice in three days and not defecated at all because her system has no food to process. She’s on NPO order no food or water past midnight night prior to surgery, so the Team is going to consult to decide what to do. If it’s us and what we want… we want one more day of antibiotics, pain management, and nutrition… ensure protein shakes, hydration, electrolytes?!…. now!!! I believe this staff heard us clearly and I think our thinking holistically about her dietary needs is valid so she can continue to fight from a position of energy. She’s exhausted. She’s in good spirit though. Whatever they decide.
I have deep reservations about surgery due to location of infection in proximity to muscle structure and nerves in face. Also high bleeding location. Very sensitive area.
Praying.
Heavenly Father, please watch over young Savannah and JWoo as they face this health crisis. Grant Savannah the strength of mind, body and soul to overcome this infection and JWoo the serenity and peace of mind required to navigate this challenging time.
With Love,
Amen
Thank you and blessings to you, Zwan. ❤️
Dear Woo,
I continue to pray for you and Savannah.
Tho the waves and winds are raging, our Lord is NOT asleep!
May our Gracious Father sustain you both,
with His strength and grace.
He is able to do abundantly more than all we can ask or imagine!
Lord, Preserve our faith – in You alone.
You are our Refuge, an ever present Help in trouble.
Please show Yourself strong on behalf of Woo whose heart is fully committed to You,
For Christ’s sake, His glory, and in the name of Jesus.
❤️ 🙏 ✝️ 🕊
Prayer request answered on preceding page.
Good news about reduced swelling, I pray that continues.
I pray her team gets the info they need and makes decisions guided by GOD.

I felt an extra nudge in my spirit last night to pray for Svannah without having seen this—now I know why.
You are right—the Lord did not bring her this far just to leave her now. The devil cannot have her! He is lashing out because he knows he’s lost whatever grip he thought he had.
I take authority over this malady in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord. It must bow at His name!
God love you, Joan. Update as you are able.
Not a very good night. Temp is up again 103.2, BP low, heart rate high (sepsis – infection obvious and doing all that can be done without source identified – initial cultures should be coming back – biopsy taken by interventional radiology on mass – not in ICU – surgery ready – likely today) swelling up, numbness now and pain radiating into shoulder (I’m wondering about leakage/spreading… did i do bad thing waiting for nutrition boost? – can’t be sure)… fingers currently good – they change.
Oxycodone, Fetanyl, Morphine – angry angry meds – phew a work out but it’s ok – pain is rough. So many IV bags – so much antibiotics!!!!
No #2 4 days #1 only 3x in 4 days.
Rough.
How much therapy is this going to take?
Job interview… delayed into next week but no idea how much longer in hospital – could be days. God made sure i was fired – no other way to field all of this. Outrageous. God Knows what’s needed especially when all indicators to us humans feel catastrophic.
I’ve had about 3 hours of intermittent sleep – and a bad sandwich – I’m okay – I know about caregiver fatigue – emergency response – pacing myself. 20 minute cat naps help.
All good. We are ready, prayed up, and she’s ready to get this thing out of her. She’s very frustrated.
Imagine had she not been found?
Imagine if the oral surgeon had not told us to go to second ER and seek 2nd CT and ENT consult?
Imagine if I had not been wrongfully terminated – I’ve never been fired in my life! I would not have been able to act so swiftly and pivot as necessary for her rescue and for subsequent care needs.
I can scarcely think on it. She was within two blocks of me since January.. except for the 11 days in Dallas in May… and she miraculously made it back.
70 percent of these exploited are never found again.
If you don’t believe in God through all this – you’ll never be convinced – unless you end up in my shoes. Don’t let it ever come to that.
Believe in Him and be saved through His Son. It is the ONLY WAY. He sustains us. Outrageous faith!
Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!
“Imagine … imagine … imagine … I can scarcely think on it.”
Yes, Woo – seeing the hand of Providence, the Lord God Almighty orchestrating, is comforting!
I’m also praying that you remember Jesus’ Words to Peter (and to you, me, all of us):
“Simon, Simon, satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.
But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail.
And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31-32
Jesus also said:
”My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working.”
John 5:17
Savannah is in God’s Mighty Hand.
He has a good plan – and loves her with an everlasting love.
What we think is “good” often doesn’t match what the Father calls “good.”
Just remember Jesus’ Words:
”You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
John 13:7
LATER.
Dear Lord, Please help Savannah and Woo today. Guide all the medical team.
May You will be done in their lives, Your good, perfect, righteous will.
Strengthen Woo – moment by moment – through this dark, scary trial.
Direct her thoughts to You and Your promises.
And to walk by faith – NOT by sight.
May You be glorified in all of this suffering, Lord God.
In Jesus’ name …
Woo, I wish I could be there with you. 😩
But I know the Father will hold you close and hide you under the shadow of His wings until this disaster has passed.
Will be praying, Woo🙏🏻❤️🩹
Woo, I’m assuming you know – the Bible verses that I wrote above are not just something to type or say here.
I live by these Words – every.single.day.
Because I believe Him.
Love you, Woo.
Truly, your prayers bless many Miss Della…. especially this CTH dweller.
God bless you.
Bless you, Bananas…
All glory to God!
(I simply ask Him to direct my thought and prayer.)
Hi Della,
I’m trying to catch up. Thank you for the scripture reminders. They sustain and I’m grateful that not only am I helped by them… but all who read and commit them to their mind and heart. We love you, too, dear friend. ❤️
Reply to all to try to manage energy:
She slept five hours continuously last night .. hallelujah! This is huge and she ate a healthy dinner and she went to bathroom normally. All huge wins.
My sweet Savannah has been replaced by a mean “Gordon Ramsey”… really sharp and just barking orders at me. It compounds the hurt and damage she has been through and the reunification we are trying to establish. Really really hurtful… she’s been gone 11 months… and I realize this is pain and powerful medications talking… stress… frustration… but it adds another dimension to what we are attempting to sort through.
To say “overwhelmed” is understatement of century.
I have two friends who will come to sit with her… each every other day, so I can go home, shower, refresh her clothing needs, tend to the day to day checklist of needs.
Another friend is daily feeding our cats.
I’m not certain how much therapy this is going to take… I can’t even fathom it… it’s… in my own mind… impossible… BUT GOD.
A little miracle… Savannah LOVES flying, loves helicopters. Her room is adjacent to the helo pad here so she’s eager to have her window shade raised to see the hospital copter. Something others might be irritated by… she loves.
God Has His Ways.
I’ve been in touch with the trauma people who are monitoring her closely to get started as soon as possible.
She has drainage tubes in and the surgical staff said she’ll be here “several” days… as they continue to figure this out. Pray for answers.
I’m running into God everywhere here. Everywhere.
Oh, the supplements discussion… the hospital was very INTO and supportive of the supplement therapy i was providing her for PTSD to help her with nightmares. I noticed they’ve already began Vitamin C supplement in tablet form for her… but there is so much she’s being pumped with… that I’ll need to take mental inventory as day progresses. Also pushing great yogurt in response to the strong antibiotics… I’m so ENCOURAGED.
I agree with these beautiful prayers for JWoo and her daughter Savannah Father God…
lifting up Savannah for healing TODAY..this will be another great witness to Your
miracle working Power.. Father. To God be the GLORY as we pray in the name of Jesus Christ
Blessings and gratitude, dear bananas. ❤️
God does His work in mysterious ways.
Keep us posted.
Dear Woo, I have prayed daily for you and Savannah and will continue to pray.
Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You to pray for Savannah’s healing from this invasive infection attacking her body. I place her and her mom in Your miraculous, healing, loving hands. Give her doctors the wisdom and knowledge to properly treat her illness. Give her mom the strength to keep fighting against the evil that continues to invade their peace. Place angels around them to protect them against this evil. I ask this all in your holy, precious son Jesus name, Amen.
Thank you, Pat. I’m seeing God everywhere. Thank you dear one. Much love to you ❤️
Lord take a hand to completely deliver Savannah from illness and evil.
Strengthen her mother to this latest ordeal. You will be on a prayer list as of today for even more supplications on both your behalf’s.
Isaiah 53:4-5: States that Jesus “took our infirmities and carried away our diseases” and was wounded for our healing
Isaiah 40: “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
In Jesus most precious name we ask for help,
Amen
Amen, Monti… thank you so much. ❤️
Praying for resolution of the sepsis.
Yes, Lord, Yes.
In Jesus’ name.
Praising.
Amen ❤️
You have not done anything wrong.
When the body is nutritionally depleted, no amount of medicine will work as intended. Nutrition is vital for healing from anything. Sunlight too.
Satan is severely angry that you took your child back from his minions, and he is lashing out. This is his doing. I believe in God’s holy saving miracles, and that He will heal Savannah.
I also pray for financial blessings for you Joan, as you navigate this latest trial.
Amen Amen.
Yes Lord God, yes..
Reply to All – thank you from bottom of my heart – and much love to all.
Surgery is a go for today. They are awaiting OR availability. They’ll be going in the back side of her neck near a nerve that works her shoulder. They will keep a drain there. There is a pocket around the front parotid saliva gland that they are not draining at this time.
Prayers on the way!!!
Dear Jesus, guide the hands and minds of all involved in this procedure. Cover the patient with Your love and sustenance. Grant an easy procedure without any intraoperative or postoperative problems. And calm the fears of this devoted mother. Dear Lord, whatever else is needed, that I am not mentioning, please bring that to this event. In this we ask…Amen!
And let all ‘the numbers’ remain stable!
Her numbers are good… terrific really! Really good news.
Amen!
Dearest JWoo,
Dearest, dearest JWoo. . .
Selah.
I am very late in hearing the glorious news of Savannah’s rescue and some of the valley you both have walked through since then.
Learning of that great gift from the Lord immediately followed by the news of her illness has taken me on a rollercoaster of emotions; I cannot imagine what you, her mother, have been going through.
Heaven to hell and back again, over and over again.
Gratefully the Lord has established your faith in the knowledge of His sovereignty, knowing that whether it feels like Heaven or hell, He is in control.
He is in control of every grain of sand, every faint far away star, every snowflake, every drop of rain, every molecule, every heart beat, every breath; He is in control.
On this very hard day I pray that the Lord of all creation fills you with His peace that makes absolutely no sense under these circumstances. I pray the Holy Spirit of the Living Word surrounds you with comfort in remembering Savannah is His, first and foremost — she is eternally His.
Oh Lord, how we glorify You for returning Savannah to her loving, tenderhearted mother. Thank You for joining their hearts to You and to one another before sending them into the boat and out onto the raging sea.
Abba, Father. . . Daddy, please, we humbly cry out asking for You to heal Savannah. For Your glory, and Yours alone we pray.
Agreeing in this most lovely prayer. 🙏❤️
I’m sorry for the rollercoaster and fear, Raven. I realize it’s distressing… but i couldn’t help but reach everywhere for prayer.
I really lost myself yesterday, as they were coming to get her signature for release to move forward for surgery and covering all the legal bases.
I panicked because I didn’t want to tell anyone she is a donor. (Not that I think she could donate with such a ravage infection manifesting…)… but that realization crept in… and i had to leave the room and seek shelter in a private waiting area to lose myself. Fortunately a friend in Pennsylvania was awake and we talked. He runs Sweatshirts for Hope for families of estrangement and he helped me unpack and process.

And with different time zones.. it’s an amazing counter attack to the evil.
It works.
This is nothing short of miraculous. I’ve no idea where this is going but clinging to our Lord as He moves us day by day. Moment to moment.

It’s beautiful
Praise the Lord
Absolutely no need to be sorry for anything, JWoo. I am glad to be on the rollercoaster with you, and poorly said what I meant — You are a woman of great courage and resolve after walking through these highs and lows and praising the Lord every step.
I totally understand the idea of not informing vultures of anything, and have always hated it when I hear them talk to loved ones about donating at the absolute worst times.
I pray you and Savannah had a wonderful, healing day.
You most definitely have an army of prayer warriors falling before the King of kings.
In Christ’s love,
Raven
Agreed, Sis. One just never knows which way something like this goes… thus we must TRUST. Phew.
Met a husband and son last night in OR waiting room… mother was quite literally crushed in a car accident on Monday. She’s had 6 or 7 surgeries so far and is progressing each day. miraculously. She’s 57 and her 75 yo passenger is suffering and having rough time. They had just dropped off her grandson at church camp. Her son, Shiloe, pastor from Texas drove 14 hours to get here.
Prayed with and for them and vice versa… God Is everywhere. ❤️
Talking with staff here and with what Savannah’s been through… they think we broke open a pretty bad ring of pretty bad people… so yeah… the devil is mad. Good.
We will not relent or back down.
One thing I would recommend to you is check with Patient Services to see if there is nearby housing for family of patients. Most are within easy walking distance to the large hospital.
The one we stayed in at UVA was free, had on-sight laundry, a huge fully stocked pantry/kitchen, and small but very comfortable bedrooms with bathroom/shower. They also had a huge living room with several soft comfortable seating areas, tvs, computer station. Around the clock security too.
It made a world of difference just having a safe space in which to retreat, fresh coffee, a hot shower, and people who are experiencing the same things as I was. Even if you don’t spend a lot of time there, it’s really nice to have available to you.
Continuing to pray for you Savannah daily. I remember pictures of her in her prom dress.
We have been on this journey with you. God has heard us and will use your trials in the most amazing way. As only he can.
The healing of her hurt and fear is going to be quite the journey. It will be like peeling off the many layers of an onion.
What a tremendous support team you have. A blessing of immeasurable value. Truly a reflection of who you are, your faith, and God’s love.
Since you don’t have anything else to do (sarc), you may consider preparing to write a book.
JWoo,
You know I’m not a doctor and have no medical expertise at all. But I am always looking for God’s medical miracles, and if you are not too exhausted and think you might have the time, please read and watch the information found in the link below.
Most of it talks about giving mega Vitamin C (intravenously or liquid liposomal by mouth — both are found to have the same results) for treating sepsis.
https://healthimpactnews.com/2018/mega-vitamin-c-iv-therapy-being-used-to-cure-sepsis-and-flu-infections-while-mainstream-medicine-opposes-it/
Dr. Marik. I brought this up in the ER once at a Sentara facility, the company he worked for and they absolutely opposed it. It made me angry because as a patient it is the form of treatment I wanted should I need it. Cheap and effective, can’t be having that.
Linus Pauling was a man who won two Nobel Prizes, one for chemistry.
He is considered one of the 20 greatest scientists of all time.
But he fell out of favor with the scientific and medical communities.
Why?
He dared to say that vitamin C was a miracle cure for many — if not most — illnesses.
They laughed him off and threw his ideas out the window.
The great thing about liquid liposomal vitamin C is that you can buy it many places these days. I buy it off ebay all the time. The grown sons of the man who was expected to die (video in the link above) gave their dad liquid liposomal c after the hospital and doctors said it was quackery, and their dad got better.
I found a study that said there is no difference between intravenous vitamin C and liposomal vitamin c — they are just as good and effective as the other, even though one is given directly into the vein.
So I keep a lot of liquid liposomal vitamin c on hand in case someone we know wants to take it, much like you do when and if you need it.
And that should be fine with doctors, right? After all, it’s only a vitamin. . .
And, it cannot hurt. Any excess the body does not use is safely excreted by the kidneys.
I’m a huge proponent of nutritional and vitamin support when battling a disease process. I see it working in my Jen.
I have not been able to fully read this thread yet… so forgive me if I’m not responding directly to each of you.
She’s out of surgery. They cannot determine the source of the infection. She will stay on powerful antibiotics until pathology comes back. She’ll be in the hospital several more days.
I’ll update as i can… for now we wait for pathology. She’s still very infected due to being multiple lymph nodes affected.
So we wait to find out what this super bug is.
Every journey, first step…Glad to hear this news.
Given the advanced state of the swelling, I am distressed about the initial lengthy wait in the ER.
Still praying, moma!
Don’t forget to take care of yourself, JWoo.
I believe prayers brought Savannah home.
And God will restore her to full health.
I believe, too, Truly. As for me… I don’t even know what this “crushing” is… and don’t know what decompression will look like… or for how long? Walking by faith even when I cannot see.
Good news she is out of surgery. Praying for you both for answers and speedy healing. Savannah has youth on her side.
Dear Woo, thank you for the update. I will continue to pray for you both.
Please try your best to take care of yourself as well because Savannah will need you as she heals from this infection.
Heavenly Father, thank you for getting Savannah through the surgery. You created Savannah so you know where she needs your miraculous, healing touch. Hold them in your loving arms as they go through this latest trial. We know healings happen on Your time frame not ours, so we humbly accept Your will and Your time frame. Continue to provide guardian angels to surround them and keep them safe from evil. I ask this all in Your holy, precious son Jesus name. Amen
Yes Lord
It will be hard to sleep this night, JWoo, praying for and pondering this valley God is leading you through.
Please know as you rest your head that there is an army of prayer warriors standing in the gap for you.
Sleep sound in Jesus, dear sister.
Sorry I was out of town for a couple of days.
Dear Lord, help Savannah beat this infection. Give her body strength and help her endure what she must. Amen.
❤️ thank you
We’ve been re-watching House episodes.
I pray for the answer to this medical mystery JW..
What could it be Lord God?
There are two things I suspect:
1) a flower was given to Savannah to steep for tea from our dear, very ORGANIC friend who never uses pesticides or herbicides.
2) we got it from other ER hospital – they separated us to “fast track” us yet we were there 7 hours for CT scan… how is that fast? Saw the ER fill and empty 4 times that night… we were very much minorities. They also were where I first took Savannah when she was rescued but they never cleaned or tended to her wounds and I was sure she needed antibiotics of some kind. But that was 7/1st rescue date and this infection
occurred after the jaw CT scan on Monday (7 hour wait) then oral surgeon on Wednesday morning 1030 AM and he was quite perplexed and insisted we go to other hospital for CT with contrast and ENT consult.. and by Wednesday morning into evening all hell broke loose.
I’m thinking she acquired this complex infection at the other hospital ER during the 7 hour wait.
I will not be leaving Savannah alone at this hospital… or anywhere for that matter.
I will stay here or I’ll have a trusted long time family friend sit with her while I tend to our day to day needs.
Excellent decision … I would do the same.
Last September, my grandson was in ICU for a week.
A horrific time – he was in medical induced coma, on respirator, and tubes in every orifice/vein possible.
My son and his wife took turns staying with him round the clock.
They would also question/discuss with the medical team before any drug was given.
So thankful for their diligence.
Why didn’t the initial hospital ER clean her up when she was first rescued? She was filthy and sores were festering enough for police to firmly believe she was on drugs. Toxicology came back negative vindicating her.
One of my trusted friends.. she’s former nurse… I’ve got medical people all around.. wondered if she was poisoned.
Her fingers?
Except her fingers had damage so to have those injuries in healing states not unusual for infection to manifest. But her fingers keep changing.
Oh Lord… for me not to get worked up… and to stay focused.
I read interesting article on substack, by Dr. Laurie Marbus (Habit Healers).
Not sure how to link.
About our fingernails and our health are related.
Maybe this goes for fingers, too – IDK.
Regardless, do not worry about this.
God knows and all things are in His hands.
Including Savannah’s precious fingers.
🙏🏻
Looking at her photos and having read your history for her, I wonder if she does not have both a bacterial infection and a subcutaneous fungal infection. Blood tests generally rule out specific infections, so if she was not tested for it specifically the labs are negative. Fungal infections can be exacerbated by antibiotic treatment.
With her history of malnutrition, a small nick in her mouth and a fungal spore from anywhere in the environment could be enough to start the chain.
Praying for both of you.
Hi Flora,
Thank you. They are awaiting pathology back from the surgery yesterday.
We had a set back as they downgraded her and they screwed up her pain medication and really messed her up.
Her body shocked and it jump started her menses which was MIA since the miscarriage in March.
So it came back with a roaring vengeance and she was screaming, thought she would vomit, and thought she would go into seizure.
I believe she was downgraded too soon… so Momma Bear buried my snout in their tail side and ripped them up.
Didn’t help that the two men she was assigned to barely spoke English and had no idea what they were doing or how to count hours. Then the on call PA tried to bee bop her way in grinning ear to ear and tried to put her on a psychotropic for the anxiety THEY CAUSED.
She wasn’t smiling when I got done with her and schooled her about reading the room.
I’m not f’ing around.
And Savannah refused the psychotropic. If she ever decides to go into the military… you can’t be on those things for two years prior.
She’s intact and these clowns are on notice.
As far as fungal I’m really not sure… but the CDC is right down the street and this is a teaching hospital so I have to go with the process a bit… but apparently this wing failed their schooling with their DEI hires from the Congo. Literally.
I wish I were there to help – haven’t taken the head off of an MD since the hospitalist last year failed with my FIL (and after our discussion still needed a nephrologist to figure out skyrocketing sodium level could be corrected by getting him off saline IV for D5W; but at least they knew hospice was not an option in lieu of competent treatment).
I am so proud of you! Go girl! Baby Cub needs Mama who fights for her and prays for her.
Poor Savannah. I hope they can get her a heating pad, and keep her hydrated. I know the regs for pain meds are insanely stupid at this point (my grandfather was transitioned to Tylenol 12 hours after hip replacement surgery – they went from drugging them into a stupor to torturing them, because the ‘experts’ are DEI hires too). You can stack tylenol and ibuprofen, alternating, if she needs to.
Hopefully the path report is back in the morning – they may be slow if they are running a culture.
I am not sure what God is preparing you both for through all of this, but I am certain it will be amazing. Keeping you always in my prayers!
Good to know it doesn’t have to be IV. Which brand? I could go to the local health food store when I am in town next, but online is so much more convenient.
Last I bought a nutritional product off ebay I was sent the dog formula in a cat packaging box. Miracle from God I caught the discrepancy. Based on the images of the packaging I thought I was getting the cat formula but when I opened one of the individual envelopes I happened to be paying attention and saw it was the dog formula. I was like that is a dog, not a cat, and sure enough the product envelope for dogs was in the cat box. I went round and round w/the seller, them apologizing, telling me it had only happened one other time. Ghastly. Never did get my money back but learned to avoid digestible products from ebay.
Yes, I think it is wonderful to have a curative vitamin c available to us lowly, know nothing, patients.
Sorry you had problems buying digestible products off ebay.
I am a cheapskate, a big time, penny pinching cheapskate, so I scan ebay regularly for deals on liposomal C — and other products we routinely take — and have always bought that stuff there. Only time I got something that had issues was when I bought an unfamiliar brand of Wild Lettuce tincture. I asked the seller if the tincture was well strained and clear with no plant bits in it and they said yes. Nope, both bottles had lots of plant bits and my money was refunded.
Here’s what we have and/or tried before. I’m giving you the web sites directly to the products to buy, but I got all of the same things off ebay for way less than buying direct.
https://www.mercolamarket.com/product/3006/1/liquid-liposomal-vitamin-c-15-2-fl-oz-1-bottle
My husband loves the Mercola liposomal C. It has vanilla added and tastes a lot like a Dreamcicle, so it is like having dessert with breakfast and dinner. Not my favorite, since it is like having dessert.
https://www.vitablossom-inc.com/vitablossom-liposomal-vitamin-c-en.html?search=liposomal%20c&description=true
Vitablossom liposomal vitamin C in this form is what I like, and what works best for people who are in the hospital or a care facility. It is a concentrated liquid that comes in a small bottle with dropper, and the dosage is to take two droppers full. It tastes the best to me, just citrusy, and not as thick as the Mercola C.
https://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/liposomal-vitamin-c-3000-mg-orange-15-fl-oz/vs-4136
Have a few bottles of this, but have not tried them yet. Nice thing is you can buy it at the Vitaminshoppe — if you have one close by. GNC also sells a brand of liposomal C, we just haven’t bought and tried that, yet.
https://nativepath.com/products/liposomal-vitamin-c
This is the liposomal C we are using right now and we both like this a lot. Hubby loves it mixed with Pom and organic apple pectin, which I don’t understand since that combo is totally gross to me. The taste of the liquid itself is similar to grapefruit juice, which I like, but it is made from Amla fruit and not citrus.
Hope you find something you really like using!
Thanks for that Mercola Market link. I’m heading there now…
Thank you, I will look into getting some!
Thanks for sharing that.
❤️
How is Liposomal Vitamin C on the stomach, I need to check that ou.
I can’t take the ascorbic acid one…that’s all I know about it.
Savannah is on an anti nausea.
My stomach is pretty tough, but my husband’s is more sensitive and he can handle the large amounts of liposomal vitamin C very well.
Since you can’t take ascorbic acid I was hoping that the lipsomal vitamin C made using Amla fruit might work for you, but I searched Amla fruit and learned it is very high in ascorbic acid.
Just did a bunch of reading about taking vitamin c without ascorbic acid and came across this tidbit at this link — https://thedoctorwithin.com/ascorbic-acid-is-not-vitamin-c/
“It was discovered by ship surgeon Thomas Lind in the early 1800s that British sailors were spared the disease altogether simply by a diet rich in citrus fruits. Since limes travelled well, they were the common choice during the early years, and thus the expression “limeys” was coined to describe British sailors. It was later found both at sea and in prison fare that potatoes were equally successful in preventing scurvy, and they much cheaper to obtain. (Lancet, 1842) [11,12]
We find that there is less than 20 mg of ascorbic acid in a potato. Yet this small amount, since it is complexed in a food source, is all the body needs not only to prevent scurvy, but also to cure it, even in its advanced state. Such a remedy is described in detail in Richard Dana’s phenomenal journal Two Years Before the Mast, written in 1842 [12].”
The only other thing I can think of is that liposomal means the essential element, in this case the vitamin C/ascorbic acid, is enveloped in an oil that protects it from stomach acid so it can be delivered to the body instead.
What do you take/eat to get enough vitamin C now?
Keep bringing it up… I think from what we are experiencing… at least in trauma treatment… the pendulum is swinging back to sanity.
We are at a world renown teaching hospital and we’ve met many capable students, incredible nurses, and the surgical team assigned to her… the best.
The ER was a total crapshow Hunger Games… but the patient advocate was very interested in our experience there and are following up with a couple patients we saw that weren’t managed well.
The ERs at two major hospitals here… total nightmares. Very third world.
If you want to get into the issues with ER’s…do a deep dive into ‘private equity and health care vulture capitalism’ and how they manage to skirt the Affordable Care Act. And variations of the said plans and business models.
This ER issue is something that is going on across the country. They don’t “do” too much if they can avoid it.
Hospitals also do a deep dive into one’s insurance, to see about how they can best get the best bang for the buck in reimbursements.
Side note…after I did some basic research, I emailed PDJT regarding the concerns and backed it up with legitimate studies and metrics.
Every e-mail I have ever sent, receives an acknowledgement of receipt, within 24 hours.
Except this one. Why is that?
My MAGA glow is dimming.
Congress needs to address the ACA. Repeal and Replace.
God Bless you both an am continuing to pray! Culture results should be back?
Further digging around, I found this ‘business’ plan is taught at MBA level big name universities, Columbia and Stanford, for starters. It is considered ‘legitimate’ in terms of a business model.
At the implementation level, ER and ICU staffing, salaries and benefits for staff, are about 15-18% lower. And mortality for patients, is increased. And hospitals eliminate inpatient service lines, like pediatrics.
The American citizen has been reduced to being an audit form checkmark. And a ox on a spread sheet.
Thank you for sharing your research. We can’t hide from the truth if we want to solve the problem.
The ACA literally MADE US lose our home. I can prove this.
I’m too tired to go into details over that and to go through more rabbit holes… there is many!
But the people I’m amongst right now… seem to be “on to something”
Savannah is receiving supplements of
Vitamin C
Iron
B vitamins
In addition to heavy heavy antibiotic cocktails.
ER blood cultures are in – no growth. This is not uncommon because the antibiotics given to arrest this could counter bacterial growth on cultures.
The hospitalist and ENT surgical team are waiting for pathology from the mass of infection removed yesterday. That’s why Savannah will be in here “several” more days.
She’s improving… so they will move her when another room opens up to downgrade her condition. I will miss the support of this floor of the hospital… I’ll pray the vigilance on her behalf continues.
I hesitate to remind anyone of this.. and I shudder.. but this “system” we are in is the same system building one of the largest medical campuses in America expected to be completed late next year.
They merged 3 architectural firms to plan and facilitate the build… and vax mandates were required of EVERYONE associated to the project. Also the university behind Alfred Kinsey Institute.
It’s in the back of my mind sadly especially with all the “support” and my spirit tugged at me.
I’m praying I’m witnessing a turnaround of critical care medicine.. but I’m ever mindful of the devil in sheep’s clothing who pretends to be “a friend”.
Those people are everywhere and they feign “advocacy” to further their agenda.
Remember, I worried about Savannah being a donor and why is this infection “super bug” so hard to identify and where did she get it????
About a week ago, I read an article, Fox maybe, not sure…that some of the brokers were changing the plans that people had, midway during when they were insured and supposedly locked in to their plans.
It involved changes in coverage and I think, cost to the consumer.
One hospital under Illinois scrutiny, had to have American nurses train their replacements…why? Because there is a law requiring that foreign nurses be trained/oriented by American health care workers/nurses, to ‘understand’ American health care compared to what they practiced in their home countries.
We need new laws to protect American health care. And as long as ‘Big Ed’ is in on the MBA aspects of how to make money in health care, by way of vulturism, it will not happen.
Corporate law and ‘executive’ training programs, are also in on it.
Read above, friend. This hospital is “into” supplements. They’re giving her ascorbic acid, vitamin C.
The nurses are in love with her.
I’m crying as I write this, but one nurse said “something about blankets” and I was probably delirious with fatigue… I thought she was talking to/about Savannah… and she tucked ME IN with warm blankets in the uncomfortable chair I was in… and I just cried.
Last night was the first real sleep since Tuesday night. Grateful.
Thank you for sharing this moment.
I teared up a bit trying to imagine what you might have felt like when you realized the nurse was helping you.
I’m so glad you were able to get some sleep. It’s much harder to be a warrior and rock for someone when you yourself are worn down.
I know Savannah is being watched over by many mortal eyes, but I’ll echo others and say, “Don’t forget to care for yourself!”. Make sure your drinking lots of fluids and even if you don’t feel like it, eat!
Heavenly Father,
Be with JWoo and Savannah as they battle against not only the physical trial they now face, but the fear and uncertainty that come with it. Rest Your hands upon their shoulders and let the peace and strength of Your love flow into them.
In Your name I ask this,
Amen
I teared up too…
Woo, As that nurse “tucked” you in…
The many touches
by the hands
of those helping Savannah’s body
-are therapy to her mind and spirit.

“They will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
– Mark 16:18
Could not help but think of you today as I heard this.
God bless, dear sister.
“It Is Well” is my favorite… look up the history of the writing of that song and what it represents.
It is also talked about in the movie “I Can Only Imagine 2”
1 and 2 are true story movies about Bart Millard by MercyMe… well worth a binge movie day.
Things like this sustain me to feed and nourish my soul at every single turn.
Thanks for sharing.
The chaplain came in… I hugged him tightly and wept. After he listened, the Holy Spirit brought to him the story of Joseph and his brothers who threw him into the well and how he, in turn, saved their lives through service in Pharoah’s court.

JWoo, I cannot tell you how happy I am that Savannah is home with you.
I believe she will be returned to full health.
There has been an ocean of prayers from the Treehouse to you both.
Including my own wobbly, weak ones.
God, please bring Savannah home has been a mantra in my head for weeks.
My girl, all this love and praying has splashed out all over me.
I know you would want to hear some good news.
I have a granddaughter. She will be 20 in Nov. I saw her once when she was an infant.
She has reached out to me.
We haven’t spoken, but have been texting for four days.
We like old movies, muscle cars and animals. Especially reptiles. She has some nice lizards.
JWoo, I am walking around with tears as that is all I know to do.
She wants to know me.
Could God have sent her along with Savannah?
I can’t know but I am just so grateful.
I hold you and Savannah in my heart and prayers.
What a wonderful story, Truli!
I hope and pray that you and your granddaughter will soon be watching a fun old movie about muscle cars driving around a desert full of lizards. Sounds like an old timey horror flick that was never scarey at all.
I hope, too, that she learns to appreciate and adore her grandmother for who she is.
Can’t wait to hear how things progress!
Thank you, Raven.
Pray I don’t mess this up.
You can’t mess up something God Has Ordained
Amen and amen.
I love this, Truli. I highly recommend a slumber party watching “Ford Verses Ferrari”… terrific true story of some really amazing cars.
You are the very best for your granddaughters life so build, build, build.
Our society today is sadly lacking the legacy knowledge of our past generations. You will help equip her.
You’ve lifted me with encouragement. Love it ❤️
JWoo, she wants to know more about my side of the family.
She seems so normal and rational. Like me! 😁
You are the first to hear this happy (I pray) news as I believe you and Savannah and all our prayers are connected.
Love and prayers to you and Savannah.
All our prayers ARE connected.. an excellent escapism movie about such correlations is:
“Do You Believe?” with Lee Majors, Mira Sorvino, Cyrillic Shepherd and the cute guy from Love Boat.
My brain is mush
Truli,
I am cautiously excited for you. But, the fraud investigator in me defaults to: please, be careful.
I very much hope the person texting is your granddaughter. My best friend’s mother-in-law was scammed out of a lot if her savings thinking she was communicating with her grandson in college who she has seen once a month or more for decades. The scammer used AI and social media to ‘become’ the grandson she knew.
I pray you develop a wonderful relationship with your granddaughter. I also pray you are not hurt by a pretender.
Praying God gives
floraofsolomon, yes, caution is always wise.
She is the real deal. Confirmed by family.
I always wonder how folks get scammed by faux family.
I am a true skeptic.
FOR JWOO:
Hello Woo, just a thought –
Has anyone at the hospital called in an Infectious Disease specialist?
Ten years ago, I was in a major renowned hospital for a week.
I wasn’t responding to the antibiotics for pneumonia and some other mess in my lungs.
Thought it was my time to go.
My husband intervened for me, and a specialist was called in.
Finally, slowly, I improved after this doc got involved.
Did the specialist identify anything that hadn’t been prior?
Or prescribe anything notable that hadn’t been on the menu?
Hello nim, I can’t recall these details, as I was deliriously ill.
But I do remember this – distinctly:
As I was lying in the hospital bed with high fever, the machine alarms began to go off and red lights were blinking.
So I had a brief prayer with God.
I told Him that if He was ready for me, I was ready to meet Him.
But if He wasn’t ready, I told Him it was all up to Him to heal me.
No one else could.
Several hours later, the Infectious Disease doctor came (from outside hospital) and got involved.
Our metro city has several groups of good ID physicians.
You can google what they do, but are troubleshooters related to infections.
thanks for the reply, Miss Della
We went from exceptional care with Savannah smiling and feeling much better to a total shit show at the new downgraded wing. I feel like we were an “experiment” of good care verses bad care. Our “crowd” was larger this morning… teaching. Super pissed at how Savannah suffered last night… trust totally lost. Totally. She wants to be moved back but they won’t because she’s downgraded. PA came in last night “smiling” obviously not “reading the room”… momma bear came out and put her nose in their butts. They created trauma because they didn’t keep up with her pain medication rotation and the men had zero sensitively and got pissed because i called the former nurses station to double check times which they wouldn’t divulge to me. I’m super PISSED. We made them check where the bleeding was coming from because we feared it was from catheter site. Savannah got no nutrition last night at all. We ended up having to request suppository too and she was able to pass the understandable obstruction. I think this infection and the surgery shocked her system into ovulating again and the pains were cramping from that which Savannah likened to miscarriage cramping. She was screaming from pain and terrified to vomit due to the sutures and drains. Cultures still yielding nothing. Consulting main ENT surgeon… they did tell me that one antibiotic being used is treatment for MRSA. Savannah needs to sleep all day.. we both do. Super super pissed and we are not confidant in the staff of this wing anymore. I’m sorry to say the men “in charge” English was not their first language and they kept messing up the times on the board. Not sure how they became RNs. We apparently had the nursery school of attendees last night.. the nurse who stabilized her… only 6 months of experience
Woo, I am so sorry about this – but not surprised.
I think it’s the “new norm” in health care.
Has been a personal rant of mine for ten years or more.
Will comment further, but for now:
Talk with the head honcho on the floor.
And, the surgeon.
Changes need to be made. Like yesterday.
Is it possible (safe) for Savannah to leave and convalesce at home?
Ongoing prayers for you both, Woo.
I’m having those discussions. I won’t shut up and I don’t recoil from hard discussions.
No, it is not safe for her to go home. The infection moves too quickly and she must be here in case it turns again… until they learn what it is… how it is caused… and what it responds to.
We are here for the long haul. I’m asking about CDC.
Miss D…what I am reading is suggestive of private equity ownership, which is the new norm. Some hospitals blend it with their other business models, some use variations…its all aimed to cut costs.
I keep typing stuff up but it keeps sounding far too negative and critical of your healthcare providers and healthcare in general, so I’ll just say this:
I’m still here praying and thinking of you guys.
Take care of yourself JWoo. Savannah needs you now more than ever.
Since I find myself lacking uplifting words at the moment, perhaps this picture will help instead:

Pictures like that always help. She misses her kittoes.
Wow…..that’s a TERRIBLE night!
Savannah is going through a lot, and so are you. As much as I’d love to tell you that you will both be able to sleep today……I suspect you’ll find catnaps are all you’ll get….if you’re lucky.
They may give her meds that knock her out as a side effect. But they will be in and out of the room all day. The drain lines from the wounds will need to be “stripped” periodically. They should take care doing that because it can hurt. They are trained, so they should get it right. I’m assuming the drains are similar to what Jane had. There was a little “ball” at the end of the drain line that provided constant suction. They had to show me how to “strip” it without causing her pain by allowing it to move near her neck.
Prayers will continue on behalf of Savannah and you. It WILL get better.
Sleep when you can, give the stress to God. And yes, I am fully aware that is a LOT easier said than done. I’m still trying to do the same. Prayers for both of you.
Greg1, good to see you.
I hope Jane is improving.
I know prayers continue for you both.
Thank you!
She’s struggling right now. She lost nine pounds in a week. Chemo is taking its toll. The nausea is unreal. Meds help some, but when I give her meds via the feeding tube and even a small amount of food during the day……she loses it all.
She can’t really eat by mouth yet from the surgery, and the radiation on her mouth will make that painful for some time to come. Long road ahead. The chemo must be terrible. I can’t stand watching her go through this, but it’s gotta be done.
God will provide.
She is very lucky to have you, Greg1.
I wonder if marijuana would help her.
I have seen chemo patients have excellent results in controlling nausea and improving appetite.
We continue to hold you both in our hearts and prayers.
Special prayers of God’s Mercy as we, and others here, are tested and refined by fire. We are living proof of God’s Mercy and Love for us. Jesus Saves.
In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
GOD our Father and Creator

Joan, a thought to ponder, which adds to what you posted:
Proverbs 17:3 “The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
But the Lord tests hearts.”
Silver has great value. It has a melting point to be refined by removing impurities.
Gold has greater value than silver. It has a HIGHER melting point than silver in order to refine it by removing impurities. That would seem to indicate a furnace for gold vs a refining pot for silver.
But THE LORD tests hearts…..
The heart is more valuable than silver and gold, and to me, Proverbs is quite clear that the refining from the Lord will include greater heat to remove our impurities…..but the end result will have greater value to God, we will have pure hearts.
Let’s let God shape us according to His will and His word.
It ain’t gonna be easy, but it is gonna be worth it.
Still praying for you and Jane Greg1.
Thank you so much!!!
She’s struggling right now, chemo does nasty stuff to people. I left a longer note above with more info.
She most definitely needs prayers and GOD.
Oh, JWoo, I am so sorry to hear this.
If I could be there to help, I would.
Praying for you both.
Being a Mama Bear Patient Advocate is a hard job but I know you are up to it.
God will work it all for his reason, Truly. It’s quite the education.
Does the hospital have a patient advocate or patient satisfaction team?
Is the hospital owned by a “private equity” company?
Keep detailed notes, dates, times and names of those who interact…and for what reasons…from time request for pain meds to actual administration of pain med and excuse/reason for delay. And also the time from when she presses the nurse button to the time the nurse arrives.
Is Savannah on bedrest?
Welcome to a, I suspect, blended model of a certain business plan in health care and a large number of nurses not skilled in the English language, is a dead give away. Some hospitals mix the medicaide patients and sometimes its not. Downgraded units, often are characterized by what you describe, which is a symptom of inadequate staffing.
Not to mention lots of RN’s these days do not do the “hands on” care like they once did. It is like they don’t want to get their hands dirty and they pass the job off to the folks that are not truly trained. My mom was an RN, she was an Angel. She wore the white hat, uniform, hose the whole deal. She would be horrified to see what constitutes as a nurse these days. Scrubs and tats, even had one w/the Satan nails, doused in perfume, looked like she was going out to party. She was a contractor nurse, another thing I am against.
More and more become RN’s and then want to go into administrative roles so they don’t have to have direct patient contact. More money if they get all those credentials.
Hello Leave, I’m sure your dear mother was a beautiful Angel,
ministering to others on behalf of the Great Physician.
I remember those white uniforms, too.
I understand what you’re describing about inferior health care staff.
It’s a frequent experience now in my world.
Back in June, I went to a large, reputable imaging facility for a mammogram.
My technician was in her 20s, wearing a “mask.”
She began speaking to me from another area behind a glass window, in a dimly lit room, and noisy machines.
I kindly asked her to remove the mask so I could understand what she was saying.
She proudly stated, “I ain’t taking my mask off for nobody. I don’t want to get sick.”
I asked if she realized that sometimes an exception needs to be made.
She said “I don’t care.”
And, I said: Then you are in the wrong profession, because you’re making this about you and not the patient.
Then, I wisely closed my mouth.
Because she was about to make a pancake out of my boob between two pieces of metal.
And, I didn’t want any more pain than necessary.
I did tell her to have a nice day upon leaving. Haha.
I get so frustrated with myself, because I want to be a witness for Christ.
And, have been very low on patience with their foolishness.
Yes, it’s a new day in health care.
May the Lord help us all navigate these challenges!
And, one more story …
About 20 years ago, I had my first case of pneumonia, landing me in a big metro hospital.
The nursing “aide” was a very large male, wearing a woman’s wig, false eyelashes, blue eyeshadow and lipstick.
My nurse wore the whole Hijab fashion.
I was pretty sick and thought maybe I was seeing things. Nope.
So, this craziness has been going on awhile.
Lord, please save us all.
20 years ago or so is when it all began to become mainstream. They have pushed and shoved all of it down our throats. I miss the old days of sanity.
Okay.. I’m probably too delirious… but i laughed really hard at that. I mean, wouldn’t you think those false eyelashes would fall into something?
Are you sure it wasn’t a percocet hallucination????
When I had an emergency csection after 24 1/2 hrs of labor.. they gave me Percocet for pain. I hallucinated that Savannah was half baby and half lobster and her legs fell off.
It was only Tylenol from then on!!!
🦞 🦞 🦞 🤪🤕🤪😜
I feel your pain, it gets harder and harder to try to be patient w/these people. I worked on their side years ago so I have compassion and empathy on what being a healthcare worker is like, HOWEVER, we were a different generation of people, different hearts and minds, and different rules, the patient came first not the insurance company. Don’t get me started on masks, or the tat addicts, which is a sickness of its own accord.
Something has got to give, people are dying due to “the system” and the incompetence. I often think of the movie John Q w/Denzel Washington. I am surprised that story hasn’t already happened somewhere. I wish patients could go on strike and boycott! LOL!
And yes, mom was an Angel, I do not know how she did all that she did, an RN, raised a family, and was a preacher’s wife plus did crafts and sewing. Over the years she did nursing of all types, psyche ward, VA hospital, nursing home, health department, school, hospice, even missionary nursing in people pet eating Haiti and the mountains of Appalachia, her favorite trips were to Appalachia. She did the hands on work, she was a REAL nurse.
Good to see you Miss Della B!
I’m doing a ton of care for her in this room. I’m wondering if the nurses are manipulating me for help. Lol
They’re showing me how to work the machines and which buttons to push. A little alarming that I could be trusted with anything.
Savannah is telling THEM what they’re doing wrong with her intravenous lines.. it’s a little funny… a very very little.
One left a syringe dangling and attached to her line. The hospitalist saw that. Lol
Of course they are passing care off to you!
Have Savannah tell them in writing she refuses to be seen by students or have students participate in her care. In most states, she can legally refuse.
You can draft it for her. I would include the issues of the staff not able to communicate in English, errors in timing of meds, failure to provide nutrition which could be a failure to order on the part of the doctor, and concerns about being treated by inexperienced staff while her condition deteriorates with no diagnosed reason for the decline. And cc the hospital administration.
Been there, done that too.
The timing of medication administration is something that is ‘audited’ for the the state and feds.
“Patient driven health care” is also a phrase that will get their attention.
Include in the note that she is on strong antibiotics, and you (she) are extremely concerned that their delays in properly providing medications on schedule may contribute to drug resistance and may be extending her time in hospital.
They have been very clearly communicated to. I’ve made it very clear.. I’m monitoring EVERYTHING.
We have a teaching institution, years ago I worked there, it is how you learn, but more than once as a patient I told them no to the student. They obliged to the request but they sure don’t like it. I find it a waste of my time. I get tired of having to go 3-4-5 people down the line before I get to the doc or NP.
I’m of mixed opinion. Sometimes I think that having students present keeps all the other professionals on their toes. On the other hand it was an intern putting me back together after a C-section. I swelled up more than when I was pregnant. Had excruciating pain. Couldn’t even wear any of my pregnancy clothes. Feet developed ingrown toenails requiring surgery. All I got was screams that I was trying to stay home with my baby. Eventually I got help and we were told that the intern didn’t put my organs back in the correct places. I’m sure it will never show up on my medical files.
PS The other doctors all watched the intern putting my organs back wrongly. I watched them watching him. Why?
Savannah’s case is apparently rare and a topic of interest especially with the history.
I want the students here so I can school them from the patient’s perspective and I have been about what establishes trust and cooperation and what destroys trust.
I want the students here to witness it all.
DEI is how they became RN’s. Been there done that w/these people and it is a nightmare. And most patients will not complain for fear of retribution. I had nurses, the good ones, encourage me to file complaints.
So very sorry ya’ll are having to go through this.
LMGA, they barely speak coherent English and were putting the wrong times on the board for us to monitor meds times. If they’re doing so on the board, they’re likely doing so in the system too!!! My friend who was an Interventive Radiology nurse at UCMC Chicago told me i have the authority to kick anyone out of our room. I did and I insisted on women nurses on this floor. We had a couple of awesome male nurses but this floor is obviously for rookies.
Request prayers for my wife in Thailand to get her visa. Please read my Open Letter to President Trump here:

Thank you! In Jesus name, Amen!
Praying! And…
Dear Jesus, hear the prayers of the faithful, for this couple to be reunited, Amen.
Praying for your bride and your many future happy years together. ❤️
My devotional received this morning:
“Message from God
Today, Joan, God wants you to know that there are just two directions in life: to shrink or to grow.
Every challenge is God’s offer for you to grow and enlarge your soul.
You can accept God’s offer and become more, or you can shrink back, shy away, and become less.”
We chose to become more!
As for me and my house, we will serve The Lord!
Savannah’s white blood cell count is back up to 18. Infectious disease specialist will come to us today. Cultures are still inconclusive.
Talked with the chaplain today. He said The Holy Spirit brought to him the story of Joseph’s brothers throwing him into the well. That which was meant for bad, can be made for our good. A message reflected again in Romans 8:28
We had deep political talk of how we need to be better at protecting our brothers and sisters created in God’s Image.
Is there a Johns Hopkins level hospital near or within decent driving distance of you? It took that level of doctor to finally diagnose Jen, after 4 prior hospitals could not. Some of the docs at UVA were on the right track, but the “team” could not form consensus.
It took a lot of speaking out by Kitten, Jen’s Hubby, etc to get her to JH.
Patient Services is the clearinghouse, but a little birdie told me the Nurse Manager for the Floor is who is ultimately responsible for the non-physician bedside care. He or she is who needs a face to face meet first, documented very well. Regarding the “line of penguins” following the doc doing all the talking, you can absolutely refuse their visit and have only the Attending, his or her PA, the Surgeon etc.
I only say this as having been through a hospital roller coaster with my own child. Not to tell you what to do. It’s such a different world in hospital care nowadays. I was shocked by some of what we experienced. It is mentally emotionally and physically exhausting too.
She’s at the best training hospital in Indiana. Not equal to Johns Hopkins (private legendary) this is public best we’ve got Hoosier-ville… with not-so-great history and politics.
We will know more tomorrow.
They have brought in an infectious disease specialist. He pulled more bloodwork and he’s checking outbreak things – here and in Texas. He’s asked about rodents, fleas, cats, dogs, insects, Tuberculosis exposures.. it’s “not a movie” so they are ruling out everything.
They have used all the material emiited from the surgery and the cultures were inconclusive.
Next step is another CT. Her white blood cells are back up to 18 (normal is 7 to 11).
Her swelling is down on surgical side but up on other side. Another surgery is possible.
Tomorrow’s white blood cell count will tell us which direction we are going.
We have two incompatible antibiotics and they are behind in their administration due the surgery.
We have to catch up so they’re working on installing another port for her but they’ve stuck her everywhere so they have to use ultrasound to find her veins.
We will be here several more days.
And as we rest our weary heads, we take solace in the comfort of The Arms Who Made us… Who Formed us in our mothers’ wombs. Who Knows every hair on our head and counts all of our days. Who Sets Out To Complete every good work set before us… all the days of our numbered lives… and In Him, we will rest and know that He Is Good.
Psalm 139 has always been our family verse… since she was growing inside my belly.
All Glory and Praise and Honor are His. We are His and He Is ours.
In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Woo, This is to remind you:
You are not alone in this great trial.
First, and foremost, the Lord Jesus is with you.
And, He really is all you need.
But,
God has moved in the hearts and minds of fellow believers to pray for you and Savannah.
There are many right now petitioning His Throne for you.
I remember the story of Moses in Exodus 17:11-14.
Moses, a mighty man of God, was leading the Israelites in battle.
As they fought the enemy, Moses would lift his hands to the heavens, and they would win.
Then, his arms would get tired, and they began to lose the fight.
So, his brother Aaron and Hur were positioned on each side of Moses.
They would hold up his arms when he became weary.
And this went on until the Israelites won the victory.
We are holding you up, Woo.
What you are fighting is too strong for you – or anyone, for that matter.
God has summoned His warriors to help you.
I pray the Lord will give you His Rest, to simply be still and know that He is God.
Deliverance is on the way, Woo.
❤️🩹 🙏🏻
I so appreciate my Aarons and Hurs.
Much love to you and to our Treeps, Della.
Jwoorior….
prayers are for you and savannah every day.
how’s her temp been? has it come down?
one thought I had was for you to bring your own thermometer; just to give you some easy/quick diagnostics.
plus it might help you get answers on your own, and would make you feel a little better managing a component of her care.
Her fevers happen at night but she did not have one last night. She has Tylenol in her regimen though… so unsure if it’s just doing its job.
Her vitals are good. Indicators of sepsis are low blood pressure, high heart rate over 100 and high temp.
All three of those markers are good and her O2 is good.
I’ve been surrounded and vigil by monitors so no need to bring anything from home.
Her swelling on surgical side is significantly down, other side is swelling… but better than before. It’s those white blood cells that are problematic.
We are settling in to try to rest until 330 AM. 5.5 hrs of sleep just sound luxurious.
A friend comes to relieve me tomorrow afternoon so I can go home and tend to our cats and refresh her clothing and I can clean up and shower.
Savannah’s white blood cell count was at 18.8 now down to 14 trending in right direction. Praise God!
Infectious disease doctor has expanded his testing.
ENT surgeon says as long as WBC trends downward… no further scans at this time. That’s very good.
They’re staying on this regimen of antibiotics.
We are having some respiratory issues and I have started to lose my voice due to congestion and fatigue. Savannah got upset with me because she tried to wake me and I couldn’t hear her to wake up.
Also please pray… I am upset with feelings of abandonment with her Dad… that’s only increased with his recent response and it’s manifesting in anger within myself and disappointment with Savannah.
She had added him as emergency contact along with me… but I had to inform the hospital attendant that if they reach to him they may not receive the response they might expect.
I’m angry and I want to lash out at him… but I’m biting my tongue and crying out to God for the devil to leave me alone in this.
We can’t expect him to change but Savannah really needed her Dad all along. He has means so it’s not financial and he has been with his job 17 years so it’s not an employment thing that keeps him from ever participating. I believe his wife made him give up his daughter long ago and we were never threatening in any way shape or form to her.
They’re sending their “prayers”… christian in title as opposed to as a verb. Lord help me to focus on the only thing that matters…her… and for others to not take up space in my mind.
In Jesus’s Name, AMEN
It’s interesting… the antibiotic regimen is using two antibiotics that can’t be combined with one another, so two ports… which in her body, they combine, right? So strange. I’ve heard their names but need to clarify to recall. I’m a little too tired.
Lovanox blood thinner
Unasyn Ampicillin and Sulbactrum
Vancomycin
Ampicillin pretty much ‘gets along with everybody’…Vanco not so much…and it has a longer infusion time plus levels have to be monitored every couple of days, it can be nephrotoxic, there is a range that is acceptable. In my practice, we haven’t used the SulBactrim in a while…
Blood thinner no doubt due to prolonged bedrest?
Hey sis, I woke up and started praying for you two an hour ago, just looked for updates.
I will pray for her dad along with my ex. Only God can change either one of them. Sin is the worst disease of all, and without Jesus it is incurable. If they are in my area of the country, the god they are praying to at most so-called churches is unholy.
After a long year, God may be using this to help Savannah learn discernment about who to rely upon. Praying that God’s lessons for all of us are never wasted, and that you and Savannah get relief soon.
flora, yes they’re near you. Seattle and he’s “brought to you by Pfizer”… Sr IT admin with company acquired by Pfizer in 2024 for $45B mRNA research for cancer. The founder a known sadist… look up last name Seagall… that piece of work dabbles here in Lafayette too up by Purdue. My daughter’s father’s boss and mentor for 17 years.
Even now, he can’t pick up the phone to talk to me because of what’s around him. Coward.
Not good humans. His overtaking was really sad… he didn’t used to be like this… though he had his flaws… he had love for her… but all that disappeared when his overtaking was complete. I tried to encourage him away from there. I was unsuccessful.
There are christians who wear the title, but don’t know the verb because they don’t bother to really know God… they fill up with their own ideals and what they are spoon-fed from their own version of mind control… and never open The Book for if they did… their eyes would open to the deceit. I pray them WAKE and FREED from the spell castings… in Jesus’s Name, AMEN!!
I frankly want NONE of their prayers for as you say… they don’t worship the same God that I do.
God is our Father ❤️
by chance have you ever asked savannah if her evil captors got her injected with the toxic “vaccine”?
just a thought, because that changes immune response.
The thought crossed my mind as there were several ways she could have been exposed to such treatment. I’m not sure if Savannah would have been coherent enough during miscarriage or seizure events for her to know for sure. I pray God a hedge around her and for others who were so coerced.
Nine-11 months was a long time during which it couldve taken place.
Might be worth asking, when she’s up to it.
Only because it could change the SoC expectation (standard of care- the hospital procedural routine for illness/disease).
Be patient with them. You don’t know what the Lord’s plan is, for them or Savannah and you.
Rejoice and be glad, this IS the day the Lord has made. Hugs….
Amen.
PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD!
ENT Team makes rounds at 545 am ish. Savannah’s white blood cell count is down to 11. (this is within normal range) Her swelling is gone down considerably. She’s in a lot of pain right now – pain meds already administered but they’re adding something else to the list which is hard to keep up with.
Can’t open her mouth as wide again. Migraine. Pain in jaw line. Some congestion. Very nauseous. Still internal muscle swelling… but the antibiotics seem to be the RIGHT combo.
No word on pathology yet… so no known source yet. She walked for the first time short distance in a week.
We are losing our nurses due to their work weeks ending so all new. Praying on who The Lord sends to us for her.
Mornin’ Joan.
PRAISE GOD, indeed!
Prayers of thanks for all improvements, and prayers for continued improvements and an excellent medical team to provide care.
Also……prayers that stress levels for both of you will lower. Stress is a terrible thing which can cause illness or make illness worse.
Howdy friend,
Thank you and blessings on you and Jane, as well. It’s really cool to witness all of our miracles here at this Tree.
Thanks too for reaching out, brother. Blessed by your friendship… when you’re not tormenting me with spiders and hogging all the chocolate cake. Lol
“Blessed by your friendship… when you’re not tormenting me with spiders and hogging all the chocolate cake. Lol”
Whaaaaaaaat?!?
Now why in THEE world would I EVER do such a thing?!?
I have been FALSELY accused!
I’m a forgiving man, I’ll overlook it THIS time. I can’t post pictures like Betsy, but outta the GOODNESS of my heart……I’ll give you some of this here chocolate cake. You gotta click on the link, it’s harmless, swear!
Savannah can have all she wants, too!

I have an observation and a tug at my Spirit. Those who understand prophecy will know where I’m going with this.
In the 90’s, prophets started talking about a reverse proselytizing that would take place. For years, America sent missionaries abroad to unreached lands to share the Salvation message through Christ in alignment with The Great Commission that Christ spoke in The Holy Word. But there would be a tide turn, and foreign nationals would come here… to teach The Word of God to Americans.
It is clear.. we are in that time presently for our country’s cultural make-up is changing. This melting pot has been invaded nefariously, illegally, and our social systems are suffering those movements.
But the ills of our nation are not just from alien invasion… they are from our American culture being wholy distracted and too easily entertained by gross negligence and enticements and inducements… purposefully ignoring faith in God Almighty and negligence in committing His Holy Word to our hearts and minds…. thus giving up our God-Given rights and freedoms in exchange for bondage and slavery to darkness and submission to the prince of this world and darkness.
And we wonder why things changed?
However we learn our lessons, we must learn them.
Arise and awake, dear friends. Taste and see The Lord our God Is Good.
If our nation will repent and turn from our wicked ways, God Will Restore our land and it will be better than we could have ever imagined and Lord Will Return and bring the new Jeruselum with Him and He Will Bring Heaven down with us and He Will Live amongst His People.
This is not an Eternal perishing but a chance at Eternal Life in Perfection… but each of us must choose… speak Life or death. We will all give account.. repent and turn today.. and sin no more.
In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, I pray for us all, AMEN
Amen amen and amen.
Praise You Lord Jesus Christ!
God bless you all here.
Surgical pain, by now should be reduced.
Is there a suspected cause of the ‘muscular’ swelling that is unresolved?
The pockets of abscessed infection… only one region was removed surgically for pathology purposes.
Multiple regions were not cleaned due to location to tender and fragile muscle and neurological proximity.
The idea to identify the antibiotic remedy for less invasive method of healing.
Had we not had positive direction… an additional CT would have been done and additional surgery would be on the table.
If progress continues, that surgical remedy will prove unnecessary.
We may never know the source of the infection.
But we know The One Who Is In Charge and through outrageous faith, He Answers and Saves.
Had an exceptional conversation in the cafeteria with an Amish man, Stephen, who’s precious wife’s life has been saved from a terrible lemon sized brain tumor. She had just given birth to their first son and the son is healthy and flourishing. We shared, encouraged one another, and I blessed him in his future family’s impending growth. What a darling family giving God all The Glory!
AMEN AMEN AMEN
Thx!
Still praying!
And for your new friends!
Praise God, that is good news! Still praying for complete healing for you both.
Thanks for the update. Happy to hear the antibiotics are on the right track! I hope they are giving, or will give her at some point some probiotics and acidophilus. At least some yogurt w/meals. Awesome news she was able to get out of bed and do some walking.
I hope you were able to get some good down time at home w/the kitties and catching a shower. Regrouping is key to take care of yourself.
I will be adding some extra prayers for the new batch of nurses to be wonderful, intelligent, and helpful.
Yes! Thank You Jesus! Continuing in prayer.
All… to her credit, Congresswoman Victoria Spartz’s office just called me.
I was able to tell Savannah’s story and ideas I had for changing laws for all predators who impersonate and how complicit school systems and even the police themselves were to perpetuate and sustain Savannah’s victimization, homelessness, and brain washing.
Not sure where it will go… but God Has us here for a reason.
Spoke to infectious disease and if her white blood count continues in the right direction, they’ll convert the IV antibiotics into oral forms and send her home possibly end of this week. Whether or not they know origin… because they may never know.
Woo, This is quite a phase of /for transitioning
-for both
you and Savannah!
God certainly does work in mysterious ways.
✝️ Continued prayers and Blessings
I’ve no idea transitioning to who… or to what… ???
I can’t sleep. Impossible.
Difficult day with difficult discussions with her. Details emerging.
It’s tough to listen to and makes me want to tackle this problem with guns blazing personality… but i learned I must be very careful back in January for her mind is very fragile. Recidivism is a very real threat as i showed in the video from Ascent 121.
They almost feel like lost causes or somehow they deserve such or that pressure and strain on families for healing is too great a demand or draws risk to family stability… especially if I’m unemployed.
There’s also a “bite” to her interactions with me…her safe harbor. It comes from pain, meds, stress, and in many ways… our former discussions that became forgone conclusions
It’s all painful.
There’s also that reaching for her father and his abandonment that somehow makes me a bigger punching bag. I can take it, but I got firm with her today and told her that ultimately… her healing is her choice and responsibility and no one can “will” her well. She has to want it.
Reading here daily and praying – it occurred to me after reading your comment from earlier this morning, Joan – that at this point (and with an open-ended time frame), Savannah is still being traumatized every day: fresh trauma, fresh unknowns, goalposts constantly being moved, and in the midst of it, she is (quite literally) totally helpless
Her basic options are to choose to endure, or choose not to endure (in which case her mental and psychological collapse will increasingly impact potential recovery).
She’s definitely “safer” but she is certainly not free of fresh trauma.
And you are, as always, the first responder. You cannot leave the scene nor can you resolve all the unknowns for either her or you: there are so many moving parts in this situation.
Just as no one can will her well, you cannot will the circumstances to be less costly than they actually are. Having peace in the midst of trauma is a huge protection — and you are constantly seeking that blessing! Don’t quit!
Don’t under-estimate, in the present, the unavoidable, massive impact on your lives.
Helplessless is not hopelessness for the child of God – it’s a primary context for grace.
I could have been more specific: in terms of what I mean by fresh trauma: Savannah does not know from one hour to the next what procedures/injections might be done; how much is involved; how will it take? will it work? who is doing the procedure and are they competent or incompetent, pleasant or unpleasant? And when she gets through that one – how long until the next one, with all the same unanswerable questions.
I had a bi-annual dental cleaning this morning. My favorite, bestest technician was not there due to emergency gall bladder surgery. I did not appreciate not being informed about that before my arrival. (My dental history, going back 70 years, is a nighmare. No need to share stories.)
I mention it to say this: what I dealt with in choosing to be courteous to this very young and unknown-to-me technician and choosing to endure the procedure is absolutely NOTHING compared to what Savannah is facing every hour.
I am not versed in this sort of thing, but it sure seems weird (the origin) of the abscesses.
Again, hoping all goes well and the healing continues.
Understatement of the century
I’ve been checking in every day to read, don’t comment much. I’ve been praying for both of you, Savannah to heal, and you to stay strong for both of you. Caregivers have it hard, too.
Dear Lord, Hold Savannah and JWoo in your hand and ease their minds. Heal Savannah and send her home soon to recuperate. Find a way for JWoo to rest and keep her strong. Amen.
Thank you ❤️ We just need to go home and sleep for about 4 days straight. Cuddle some cats.
Tomorrow we should know for sure and they’ll begin weening from IV meds and get the drain in her neck out. We just want to go home so she’s not poked and prodded every 2 or 3 hours.
I did get a referral from the hospital for therapy for myself… and it turns out it is the same allied association with Ascent 121… so we are on the right track there.
Woorior, if you are interested, ask for copies (printed) of key diagnotics/results.
Items that come to mind- surgical path report, CT (disc), blood culture.
They are good to have to reference later. They provide ‘big picture’, as opposed to day-to-day routine monitoring they’ve done (BP, O2, temp, etc.).
Start asking now, before discharge (if interested).
Good suggestion!
I think Savannah will have to do the asking as she is a legal adult…HIPPA and all that.
My medical records from 20 years ago, were destroyed after the treating cardiologist passed away. So having concrete records is important!
Correct… and HIPAA 🙂
Thank you. We’ve had a bit of a set back today. Drain is removed but WBC count has risen a bit… and the swelling had gone down considerably and is now increasing again on both sides. They’re no longer talking abut her going home… we’re settling in for a bit. Blood samples are going to offsite lab.
I’ll consider dealing with records later. I’ve had about 9 hours of rest in 8 days… so sleep is priority… and remaining at peace and calm.
Still thinking of you two. Still praying.
In moments of darkness, when the Light and Warmth of Christ feels distant, let us clasp hands and walk forward together in His name. Undeterred. Unfettered. Unbound. For He is with us at all times and everywhere.
Amen.
Smashing, I’m sure Woo missed your touching message, but she’ll likely catch it later.
Your words here are some of the sweetest I’ve heard all day!
You are such an encouragement!
All of us need to grab a hand, form a chain, and keep in step with the Lord …
He will lead us safely home!
Blessings to you.
🥰 🙏🏻
The pictures at the top of this page are of a girl who is experiencing profound loneliness.
Joan, the gift you give Savannah is your presence. No one else can do that.
That gift carries built-in freight and blessing that no other person on earth can provide.
You don’t have do anything or say anything or “be” a certain way.
Just be with her.
Thank you, Sharon, and blessed morning to you and all.
You are right. Another dear international friend with experience in such is advising me to meet her where she is right now… not in forensics of the entire situation and heady dialogue.
For her it is “pain or less pain, love, warmth, safety”.
Another international friend, reminds me of Romans 8:28 providential care… that maybe God used this horrible illness to hide her from the heavy flight risk and perpetrators. Look what God did with my job???? I would not have voluntarily given it up… I loved it… but my direct report boss was putting me in danger with her violations and dishonesty and God decided I would be fired which freed me up to be fully present and movable in Savannah’s rescue and extraction when the opportunity presented itself. I couldnt have possibly managed all this. He’ll restore my working in proper timing. But for now… it is all about saving His precious lamb, Savannah.
I can scarcely carry all the “Imagine ifs… ” like the prayerful doxology…
“If Jesus Had only worked the miracle of freeing Mary Magdelene from demon possession… it would have been enough.”
“If Jesus Had only stopped the woman’s lifelong bleeding by touching His hem in faith… it would have been enough.”
“If Jesus would have only raised Lazarus from his death slumber… it would have been enough.”
Praise The Name of The Lord!
They are working to convert the IV to oral medication. There are two cultures outstanding with infectious disease. We are awaiting further word. I.D. will be making the further calls of treatment and release.
Prayer implores and God Works. We must trust HOW He Works. Romans 8:28
Agreed! Sitting in silence and being present for a person is one of the best gifts a person can give. No control, no advice, no suggestions, no demands, no stories, no NOTHING, just being there. And if the one receiving the presence speaks, listen to them w/out comment or interruption, judgement, say nothing, a gentle nod to acknowledge you heard them speak, perhaps hold their hand, give a hug. That’s it. It can be so powerful in the healing process. I love people that have that ability.
For those who are new readers and who don’t know the “regulars” yet… we welcome you.
I’ve taken up a lot of space on this prayer board and I apologize for that. We don’t have much family to speak of… so God placed us in this family in the Tree with fellow believers.
Some of you have watched my daughter, Savannah, grow up on this Tree. You’ve walked with us in all kinds of things and you have adopted us.
I’m so grateful.
It doesn’t matter how BIG or how SMALL the prayer requests are here… each of them is deeply meaningful to those who seek solidarity and wisdom.
The clarity and love and togetherness found here on this Tree… is like no other on the internet… and iron sharpens iron… so there are times when group advice from knowledgeable people is helpful figuring things out… once you learn the useful posters from the armchair quarterbacks. But each is of its own use as we never know how our faith will infuse and carry through to others… so bring all posters on!
We plant the seeds and God Yields the growth.
This is a faith-filled place. We are stronger in community than when isolated.
I pray that through the miracles that occur here… you will find hope to sustain yourself for God’s Miracle that awaits you… just around the corner. Just hang on and lean in.
We collectively adopt you so keep us in the loop when God delivers. Someone may need to hear that He’s still in the miracle making business.
Love to all and thank you for praying for my girl.
Get some olive oil and ask God to bless it for healing anoint your daughter in Jesus name. Praying for all involved.
I have been thinking Holy Water too.
My prayer for today is for each of us to forgive others as Jesus forgives us. For in forgiveness comes reconciliation.
Hello Woo, My prayers continue for you and Savannah.
I’ve had a full week, but haven’t forgotten you!
Here’s a thought for you, and hopefully it’s not in category of armchair quarterbacking, haha.
David Powlinson is wonderful Christian psychologist who has helped so many people over the years.
He founded the group CCEF.org which still exists, after his death.
Their website is chock full of great counseling resources.
I’m leaving link here to one of the faculty/counselors at CCEF, Darby Strickland.
Scroll to the bottom of page, and sign up for her free audio session on “Trauma as exile.”
I listened to it, and she offers excellent suggestions which may be of help to you.
https://www.ccef.org/to-those-who-care-for-the-traumatized/
Continued)
I know your focus is getting Savannah well – and home, rightly so.
Wanted to tell you about a booklet, only 17 pages, written by David Powlinson:
“God as Father – When Your Own Father Failed.”
It may be of help to Savannah when she’s ready.
I mention this since your earlier post included strong emotion for her father.
In the past few days, I’ve read two testimonies about how much David Powlinson and Ed Welch at CCEF.org has helped them in recent years.
They took online courses of theirs, and also read their books/writings.
I have books by both of these Christian counselors and agree with others how helpful they’ve been.
So, I thought of you, too.
When things settle … you might consider this group’s website/services for courses, blogs, or articles.
I know you and Savannah have a long road ahead … and any trusted helps along the way will be like an oasis in the desert.
🥰 🙏🏻
God morning, Sis…
Heavens no… “armchair quarterbacking” was directed at bots and trolls on the other threads as readers rightly use discernment and who’s real and who’s not in here.
The people who “speak but say nothing”… is the softest way to say that… or who just antagonize and mislead to dishonor God’s Word.
Those AQ’S.
It sounds like they’re going to release her to come home.
My wise friend is seeing God’s Providence in this as a way to possibly hide her from the perpetrators.
They are trying to reach her using a “lure”… a male who believes he is engaged to her to be married. He is 6′ 6” and 300 lbs and stood aside as she was assaulted.
Over. My. Dead. Body.
I am working on things that I will not discuss here.
Her rescue and healing has been nothing short of miraculous. We will gradually work to make her whole again as she gains in strength and confidence.
She’s in good Spirit and her trauma therapy is on standby for her to come home.
God Is Good.
Thank you for your advice. I’ll look into it as I’m able to spend time to do so.
[I am working on things that I will not discuss here.]
I know you are …
May God continue to direct you in all your ways – thoughts, attitudes, emotions, motives, words, deeds.
Because Jesus said: “My Father is always at His work, and I, too, am working,” John 5:17
The Spirit of Jesus Christ lives in You!
🥰 🙏🏻
Dear Treepers, I could use some prayers for health issues as well as some upcoming major life changes that I am not sure how I will manage. I will need help and support, preferably someone that “gets it” and will be the perfect person for me to see me through w/out chaos and added stress. A few good nights of restful, sound, restorative sleep would be most welcomed.
Next weekend I will be going to a memorial type service that I am not looking forward to, please pray that it goes well and that there will be healing amongst those in attendance.
I have a friend that is having an upcoming surgery, and a few other friends coping and dealing w/life changes in Senior years. I also just learned of a family that had a house fire and could use some prayer. They all could use some prayer.
Please pray for us that the good Lord will guide, lead, and direct us to help we need, and that the help will come w/grace, dignity, and kindness in the way that will work for each of us based on our needs. Please pray for the resources, the answers, excellent medical teams and healing. We all need some love and compassion. Please include some prayers of gratitude, while our trials are confusing, painful, and challenging, Christ Jesus is there w/us and we appreciate that he is always present.
Continuing in prayer for you daily, Leave. God bless you.
Thank you Joe Blow, right back at ya!
Praying in unity, Leave. God Can and Will Bring people who will fulfill the needs for guidance, treatment, healing, and shepherding for you and your friends as they move through these stages of life. I pray for the memorial service that it be a time of softening and honoring the memory of your loved one. In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Thank you JWoo, indeed we all need good Shepherds to help us through.
Leave, I will pray for you and your upcoming challenges.
Getting older certainly makes it harder to deal with life’s trials.
We’re experiencing that, too.
You are right – and wise – to give thanks to God in the midst of troubles.
And to remember He is with us – Immanuel.
What a precious promise Jesus made to His followers:
He will never leave us nor forget about us.
I’m full of gratitude!
Remember to NOT worry about tomorrow.
I know it’s easier said than done.
But the Lord wants us to totally trust Him with every detail of our lives.
Because He is already there – working it out.
🥰 🙏🏻
Yes, getting old has its challenges. I realized I have a few unanswered prayers from long ago and it finally sunk in, God doesn’t want me to have those things. I do wish I could go live w/some Monks or Nuns, LOL!
Indeed gratitude means everything!
Leave, If you were nearby, I’d be there for you!
(I’m in Georgia.)
I have those prayers, too.
They’ve ALL been answered – perhaps differently than we asked.
Some are a resounding “NO” – others “Not now, but later.”
Either way, God gives us His grace to accept His wise responses.
🥰 🙏🏻
PS: You’ll have to choose your gender before joining the monks/nuns, haha.
Me, too, Leave… wish I was close by to help!
Big hugs….
We are being discharged now. We are going HOME after Savannah has some Chick-Fil-A… she’s hungry ❤️
Great news Joan! Prayerfully now you can both get some sleep. The Lord watches over you.
Excellent news!
Both of you, grab the cats, and get all the sleep y’all can!
SLEEP LIKE A CAT!
Nothing sleeps more luxuriously than a cat!
So happy for both of you, Joan. Please tell Savannah I said howdy, and I’m so thankful you’re both going HOME!
That is a fact, cats get the best sleep! I get so jealous. Although, I have noticed that since my dog passed one of my cats has stepped up and he has his radar ears on high alert, always listening, like my dog used to do. There are several things he has been doing to help out. It is just the sweetest.
I will tell her… thanks brother Greg 🙏 Her 15 yo kitty pal snuggled right into her. They are peaceful. 🐈 😻 🐈⬛️
SO, SO AWESOME! Very HAPPY for you both. Prayers answered.
Good evening Woo. This is wonderful news! Thank you Jesus for answers to our collective prayers for Woo and Savannah. Continue to do Your miraculous works to heal Savannah and continue to grant your peace, love, grace and protection on both Woo and Savannah at home. Give them the well deserved sleep they need to continue the fight and keep Your guardian angels surrounding them to fight the evil that continuously haunts them. God, You are so good all of the time and we thank you for all you provide us in Your holy, precious son Jesus name, Amen. Praise the Lord always and again I say Praise the Lord!
Hugs headed your way Woo.
Dear friends… all y’all… THANK YOU and I Love You.
Kiddo is sleeping on the couch. She wants to be near my room as one of the antibiotics she’s been prescribed was one she was supposedly allergic to???!!! The infectious disease doctor assured all it would be fine. She’s got a pin prick heat-style rash… but all else seems stable. She thinks the pin prick rash is from the blood thinner they gave her in the stomach. This is her third round of the regimen so I would expect if there were an adverse reaction, it would have happened by now.
I spent the day cleaning up the apartment after being gone for 12 days. Our cats were so mad, they found my favorite blouse and shredded holes in it. They were definitely looking for me and all of them are so glad to have our girl home safely.
I’m having hard time sleeping. We need to file police reports and I’m having personal apprehension with the “police having jurisdiction” because they were AWFUL and had me convinced to give up on her and actually threatened me!
I’m talking it over with the trauma therapy people.
It may be FBI because she was moved across state lines into Dallas, Texas but I think an NGO played a role in that.
I need to sit with Savannah and get this all mapped out so she can be organized and not miss any important details… but above all things.. she must heal first from this infection.
A friend mentioned that she thinks God used this illness to hide her. Maybe so. Certainly plausible.
I am hypervigilant every which way. I can’t sleep. I just can’t even rest. I will settle in and watch her a few days to make sure there’s no setbacks with recovery.
There’s just too much to do… so staying focused with our David from Israel’s advice… focus on “now” for her… which is “pain or less pain”… the rest will be in due time. So comfort and convalescence now.
Praying for your safety and protection.
Amen.
Just breathe and relax. Glad to hear she and you are home. Vancomycin can cause a rash…if she is on that.
Praying for ‘results’ with the subsequent tasks you need to do.
so she can be organized and not miss any important details
Woo, suggest you get a couple composition notebooks and you two can title pages with particular locales and events she experienced
then just free-associate with her on each topic, just have her call out names, physical threats that were made, violent acts, etc
the idea is to have her call out kind of an unrestrained memory dump of all the thoughts at the top of her mind for each topic
you two can go back and flesh out more details later, the main exercise is to conduct a memory dump before memories fade or are overwritten
for the cost of a few notebooks
Hallelujah!
“I go before you…”
Praying for your friends, family, you, the needs of those around you…
Thank you Aggiegirl. We all appreciate the prayers.
Your welcome, hugs!
P.S. Please add my cat to the prayer list. He isn’t doing well.
For you…and all who have sick pets and will add yours to my prayers…am always asking St. Francis to keep my pets safe…:
St. Francis of Assisi Prayer for PetsIn Your infinite wisdom, Lord God, when You created the Universe, You blessed us with all living creatures. We especially thank You for giving us our pets, who are our friends, and for the joy they bring to our lives. Their presence helps us get through trying times. Kindly bless my pet. May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.
May we realize that our pets trust us to care for them, as we should trust You to take care of us. In caring for them, we share in Your love for all Your creatures. Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species so we may continue to appreciate all Your creations.
Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
https://www.faithonview.com/st-francis-of-assisi-prayer-for-pets/
Thank you, I prayed this w/my kitty.
Several times I have taken my dog to be blessed on St. Francis Day. It is always so fun to see everyone bring their pets, everything from dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, hamsters, last year someone brought an entire litter of puppies! They were adorable.
I used to take my dog to church w/me for open prayer. He would get so excited when we turned into the parking lot, he would sit quietly at the end of pew like he was praying. Jeez, I miss him so much and will forever be grateful for the Lord’s help w/his passing. Our pets indeed are God’s creatures and his gift to us.
Awww Leave… our pets are so honed into us. I’m certain they know more than we could ever realize. See my comments to Pat and others above.
Praying for your sweet kitty, especially with the recent loss of your dog after your surgery. That’s got to be so hard on you… as your mind is heavy on your health challenges and other things.
Praying things go gently on you and you will see God all over and everywhere in your life… the way I’ve seen Him in ours.
May we have wisdom to know what we are supposed to do… verses that which is solely God’s.
Praying your kitties are dealing ok with Savannah being ‘gone’ again…
‘gone” again????
What are you talking about?
Meaning getting home and then being in the hospital, didn’t see your post about discharge.
Amen.
I once had a ‘reactive’ dog and took him to the Blessing of the Pets….I asked Father to first do an exorcism, was kind of a joke…and on cue, dog became rude….so….LOL, he did, then Blessed him twice!
Praying kitty gets well! And that you have wonderful memories of all your pets!
Thank you. I have been blessed w/wonderful pets over the years.
awwww … prayers for your kitty, guns … I had to say goodby to one 10 years ago, she was 22
22? Well loved and care for!
reasonably cared for
I’ve been watching a lot of youtube clips in the 10 years since and I’d be much better equipped to care for a kitty now, after learning many many things I didn’t know before
The near to me senior care center allows pets but I have learned that sometimes people graduate to needing more care and sometimes there is nobody to take on their pet. It might be a good way to find a mature pet that will be grateful to have a home. Currently some of the residents are caring for a cat that has now become an outdoor cat. They feed her daily on neighboring premises so that the management doesn’t notice and nobody will complain. I love having a dog but I realize that when he passes there is absolutely no way I could keep up with a puppy. If that time comes I will consider putting my name at the desk possibly as a caregiver for when residents are hospitalized. Many of the people already know me because when it’s cool enough to walk I take my little Mittel spitz over there for love and hugs. In his old age he just wants to go around giving love and getting petted by them. So good way to help out and relieve stress on sick pet owners and possibly adopting should things go that way.
Many thanks to those of you that prayed, the service was and all went well. I am grateful.
Dear Jwoo
During the final months of Doc’s life, I was his ‘care giver’. The Hospice folks kept telling me I was a wonderful caregiver. I knew I was not. In fact, I felt utterly helpless dealing with everything that needed doing.
Finally, in my frustration, I asked “what makes for a BAD caregiver”. The answer was – they don’t care.
Well, maybe I could not do many of the physical things that needed doing, but I sure did CARE!
I am with you in spirit. Your Faith and your Caring will lead you to the help you need ,,, always
Idaho,
I was sorry to read you’re enduring Shingles right now. I hear they’re terrible. A friend of mine had them years ago and said even her hair hurt. She refused to see anyone for weeks.
I’m hoping there’s some kind of treatment to make it more tolerable for you.
I understand the complications in caregiving.
I find it impossible to know what to do next…or doing things too fast than what Savannah’s ready for.
I’m thinking at a different brain wave length, and can’t settle down to simply rest. When what she needs right now is just “less pain”, nourishment, and rest.
I’m trying.
I want to thank you sir sharing your Substack. I started writing there and it’s deeply cathartic.
You and Doc had a beautiful marriage and I’m certain he knew of your love for him until his race was won. Yours is a beautiful testimony of your dedication to one another and how healthcare should be functionally proactive.
Blessings to you and please feel better soon. We will pray for you, in His Name, AMEN
-Shingles treatment – yes – with a good support team nearby
-Caregiving does not ‘come naturally’, but somehow we end up doing what needs to be done
-Yes, writing on substack is cathartic. i may write more about my shingles adventure – in the future
-Doc and i did indeed have a very special marriage. we may have made one mistake .. we were happy together and lived in our own bubble. He had to go when called (as we all do), but I had to stay behind – and i’m not doing well being alone. Maybe the stress sapped my immune system and that is what activated shingles.
let that be a warning to you. Doc always said ‘stress fills the barrel’
I believe you will do everything that needs doing, but then, please rest in the knowledge that you are doing all that is given unto you to do
Lots of hugs from all of us
sorry to hear of your shingles, I just barely averted it for myself with a vaccine a couple years back
I experienced one precursor symptom, I think
It was an exceptionally sharp burning spike at my waistline, slightly back from direct side, just slightly on to my back at my belt line
thought to myself “Hmmmm … I wonder if that’s ….”
went in and got the vaccine coupla weeks later, made sure it was the old one, not the new mRNA one they’d just brought out, made like the Covid “vax” … this was right when they were pushing that one
had them show me the vial just to make sure
Please pray for James and Heidi. They are expecting their second child. Heidi is halfway through the pregnancy and all going well.
Last year Heidi had a stillborn child. The cord wrapped around the baby’s neck. Her first child who is now 3 was born with a club foot.
James has had a rough time. His Dad died of cancer when he was 12 or 13. His Mom has struggled with issues since. His younger brother died of a fentanyl/heroin overdose after a long period of being clean but slipping. Please pray for this family and for Jesus’s mercy.
Done. Prayer for all, quietly, may all be held close to the Lord.
Praying for James and Heidi, for the healing they need and that the baby will healthy and well.
Father God,
We lift James and Heidi as they continue to grow the root of their family. Give them blessed assurance that they are not victims of their past, but heirs to their future.. and grant them a family who is wise in You, healthy, and joy-filled. May their love be contagious and their children rise up to call them blessed. Grant them strength… all of their days… and turn their sorrow into gladness. In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Lord, I agree with these prayers for James and Heidi..
Thanking you for blessing their pregnancy and soon to be born child.
Praying in Jesus’s name..
Please pray for my friend Barb…she and I were fellow competitors in agility…we had lost touch…I just found out she is in ‘memory care’ for dementia…’losing’ the dogs, had to break her heart. She had two very sweet border collies….they were rehomed.
Her house was sold…I don’t know all the details but in retrospect, I saw the changes in her…I had thought she was just stressed and getting old, rather than this devastating diagnosis of dementia. She had also been worked up for a form of leukemia, that occurs as we sometimes get older.
From what I understand, the family relationships, were weak and maybe contentious, too.
Thank you!
Barb is in my prayers and so are her dogs.
Thank you! She is long divorced and am under the impression, she is alone…
Always makes me sad to hear, unfortunately there are MILLIONS of folks in this situation.
Prayers up, Father God we lift up Barb for healing, peace, that He would send laborers to
love and care for Barb.. that she would be full of joy and peace no matter the state of mind..
Praising You, Jesus Christ and praying in Your name..
Thank you.
In unity, Bananas, AMEN
Please pray for my cousin who has had serial fractures of her L-1, L-2, L-3…she had a repair done on L-2, then developed a L-1 fracture as a result of the procedure, then today coughed, and had sudden pain, went to ER, and they found the third new fracture. She has osteoporosis from age and other issues. She is feeling very alone and is alone right now. Other family close to her are not available…Please pray for successful healing and procedures along with the easing of her pain, both physical and emotional.
I don’t check in here as much as I should, a lot going on at home.
I’ve dealt with back problems since 1997…..back pain is its own SPECIAL brand of hurt. This will sound silly, and it is but it isn’t, and there is no way anyone can know til they KNOW, but sometimes you can think your EYELASHES hurt from back pain. It can take over your LIFE.
Your cousin will be in my prayers. I’m so sorry she’s going through this.
Thank you so very much!
I haven’t heard “the eyelashes” hurt, in decades…but yes, that is a special type of pain!
For JWoo
Reinforcing what you already know:
“A police officer previously told NBC they did not believe the victim was involved in human trafficking.” Hoping the LEO meant as a ‘perp’….the kid was 15. Another sad situation.

She’s doing great. God Is Still in the miracle making business. ❤️.
Getting a little fresh air at our neighborhood’s last open air concert of the summer.
My whole heart.
Awww!
Looks like a couple of happy girls there……good!
Yes, God is indeed still in the miracle making business.
God is good.
Happy she’s alive friend. There’s so much to navigate, as you well know from your circumstances… but they are challenges and concerns I am grateful to navigate for her continued care. We continue to pray! 🙏 ✝️ 🕊
Wonderful picture. I am smiling and praising our Heavenly Father for the miracles he has provided to you and Savannah and pray they will continue along with Guardian angels to protect you both from evil. God is Good, God is Love and God is our comfort and peace, Amen!
Thank you, dear Pat. I’m pretty fatigued and there is much to contend with… but taking every “win” day by day… and taking every insecurity in stride as continued reason for faithful prayer. God sure is mysterious… but He’s 100% trustworthy and faithful and merciful to save. Amen
Nice!
❤️
JWoo, this photo made my day.
You both look wonderful.
Miracles happen!
PS: My grandaughter and I have chatted every day. 💕
So delighted to hear, my friend. Praying for your success with your granddaughter to spread like wildfire to others to strengthen the bonds of our future generations to their legacy history. It encourages me so much. Love to you. ❤️
About to go back to the hospice this morning to say goodbye to my father. He is 91. They told us a couple days ago he only has a few days left. If you are so inclined please say a prayer for my father that his passing is peaceful and that he is soon reunited with my mother. Thank you.
Prayer has been offered to God Almighty on behalf of your Dad, you and your family. I’m sorry you are all going through this.
Thank you
Heavenly Father, I humbly ask you to give Will’s father a peaceful, merciful passing into your arms and the loving reunion to his wife be joyful. Provide Will with your love and peace knowing his father will be with You. Asking this in Jesus precious and holy name, Amen.
Thank you so much
Prayers for you, your family, and your father.
Thank you LMGA
St Joseph, patron saint of a happy death, be with Will’s father as he prepares to go to heaven. Please be with the family, at this special time, as well…and ask your foster Son to bless and hold them close. Amen.
Thank you, Aggiegirl
May your father’s and mother’s legacy be eternal, Will. I pray you all peace during his transition into eternity. May your happy memories overwhelm your suffering and God’s Promises bring you comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Thank you J Woo
Yes, we are honored to do so. What an amazing reunion they will have.
🙏❤️🫂😇😇
Thank you Mrs F
Praying that the comfort of the Lord would surround you & shepherd you through this. God bless you, Will.
For those dealing with estranged loved ones… the group I’m in….
http://www.heart180.com
… meets twice every Friday for prayer time together online and now they’re offering an online church service at 3 pm Pacific Time, 6 pm Eastern Standard Time on Sundays for fellowship.
They also fast and pray on Thursdays for the return of our prodigals.
It costs nothing to participate and we welcome all who are struggling… you don’t have to be alone in this.
I love you, Treeper pals. Onward and upward in faith.
Please pray for the people in Spokane, Washington state. They are facing a hellacious fire that has already destroyed 600 structures, entire neighborhoods are burning. (There were some comments on GP (yes, they’re clickbait but they do get on stories quickly) that some political leaders were in talks about a data center near the area that is burning.)
Father God,
Please send Your rains to squelch the flames and bring relief. In Your Son’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Got the dizzy again. Prayed and that seemed to lessen the severity. Managed to avoid hospital so far but started asking around for someone to watch my dog. The only person who said yes also contacted my son. This child of mine has been abusive to me for 20 years. I’m flunking my walk because I can’t bring myself to pray for him. He’s a real mess and I’m trying to avoid him because he manages to be so hurtful and obviously really really enjoys it. I NEVER did anything to him to deserve this.
Father God,
Please bring helpers to Koo to take care of her precious dog. Soften the heart of her son so that he will be a trustworthy aide to her and help her to believe in Your Miraculous Ability to remove his heart of stone and give him a heart of flesh that beats with love for his mother. It is never too late for people to change. You Are The God of second chances and we thank You for loving us and wanting us with You in Your Divine Presence through Eternity. In Jesus’s Name and in solidarity we pray, AMEN
Wow that was so fast! I feel better than I have in a long time WOW WOW WOW Thanks y’all for being my secret weapon 😁 I actually physically feel like I had some kind of expensive vitamin cocktail or something!
Try to get some good rest. ❤️
I pray for good rest for all of us. I’ve realized I can’t think too far ahead and just thank God for the blessings of THIS day… and I leave tomorrows to Him.
In agreement, in Jesus’ name…
Praise the Lord for answered prayer!
Special prayers for Greg1’s bride, Jane, as she continues her battle with cancer. What an incredible pair they are as they pray for all of us while enduring their own suffering. Pray, too, for Greg’s strength and healing from chronic pain as he ministers to his bride. God bless them both in Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Praise the Lord and Amen
Please for my French friend who had to return to that nation to wrap up the affairs of the deceased and was forced to take the Covid vaccine in order to do so. Like so many of us suffering and dying from strange things that were never exhibited by anyone in our lineage she is now dying from blood clots in her legs. Thank you.
