President Trump, in the idea of deal making, (disclaimer, I never read his book) is a “transactional” leader and deal maker…am thinking that due to the number of ‘stakeholders, this might work…
I do remember a Prof from TAMU who used to say, something along the lines of it being difficult to go to the “table” and negotiate, when one faction at the table, wants to “blow up the table”.
Am hopeful.

My concern is the that the stakeholders at some point, will ‘lose interest’….

Your hope appears to be the best we can imagine without a regime change. It’s a starting point, and your concern is absolutely legitimate.
Negotiating with liars and murderous zealots will never be better than a perilous task.
I have read his book, Aggiegirl, and HIGHLY recommend it. One key thing in negotiations in knowing when your opponent is a dirty, rotten, stinking rat. Trump played both sides of the American political fence, quite well.
I just pray for the Iranian people to be liberated from the tyranny. The regime has killed too many of its citizens and that’s no way to live… fearing of genocide. It would be a shame to lose American lives and American taxpayer dollars on anything less.
I have hope too, but I also know you can’t make deals with Muslims. They are inherently dishonest as well as violent.

I always thought that Trump expected the Iranian resistance to rise up like they did in January in response to hus “help is on the way” follow-through. They apparently didn’t.
I asked several Iranians on X why that was and never got an answer. One poster just yelled at me for asking.
If the deal goes through, it will be up to the people to give themselves a new government.
Paul, I asked a very reputable Iranian who emigrated legally to the United States for asylum 16 years ago. She is a dear, dear friend. Her husband was aviator for the Iranian military wrongfully imprisoned when he spoke out against the regime.
The reason the Iranian people don’t rise up… is FEAR.
This isn’t a regime that just turns off your bank accounts… they kill you mercilessly, slowly, in front of your family… then go after your family. You can’t breathe a word that you have an Israeli friend or Israeli business associate. To proclaim Christianity, is an immediate death sentence. We’re talking beheading and torture… 40,000 of their people at a time. Any idea what kind of horror that would feel like?
The government controls all communications of their citizens and steals their wealth. Right now Iranian people are starving because the price of food has gone so high and the regime doesn’t care they starve.
These are not humans… they are animals… even demons. Iranian people are afraid and to them liberation by Israel and America is their only hope.
Understandable at the base level, but they arose in January when the regime was strong. One would expect SOME level of resistance when it had been vastly weakened.
If Trump isn’t himself fooling the mullahs and intends to complete regime change, at some point the Iranian people will either have to submit or overcome their fear.
No deal was just announced again.
Here’s hoping for the best and I trust my President but it’s the non-participating stakeholders that seem to muck up the works.
