President Trump announced on Truth Social that he is delaying further strikes against Iran pending current negotiations with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. According to the announcement the Gulf States are negotiating a ‘zero nuclear’ position.
This is an interesting development as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) were previously the ones urging President Trump not to halt the military pressure campaign.
PRESIDENT TRUMP – “I have been asked by the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to hold off on our planned Military attack of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was scheduled for tomorrow, in that serious negotiations are now taking place, and that, in their opinion, as Great Leaders and Allies, a Deal will be made, which will be very acceptable to the United States of America, as well as all Countries in the Middle East, and beyond. This Deal will include, importantly, NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS FOR IRAN! Based on my respect for the above mentioned Leaders, I have instructed Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, The Chairman of The Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Daniel Caine, and The United States Military, that we will NOT be doing the scheduled attack of Iran tomorrow, but have further instructed them to be prepared to go forward with a full, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment’s notice, in the event that an acceptable Deal is not reached. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Howie Carr on Boston talk radio was talking about all this about an hour ago, he’s not buying any of it, he feels the pattern with Iran is very clear: this is just the usual stalling tactics and overall, he had a very annoyed tone in his voice.

Oil will calm immediately if the gulf states butcher Iran. Better them than us. It’s getting very expensive for them, as new alliances are shoring up. The world is not what it seems. Renewing the military operation or not, failure is not an option and the people are losing patience. Republicans will suffer greatly at the ballot box if operations are not brought to a close successfully in the very near future. If the Dems win the House or Senate all your good work will be for nought. My prayers are with you.

Trump appears to think giving them a little time is worth it. The key is what he will accept as a “little time”.
President Trump is planning “YUGE” party for America’s 250th birthday. He’s going to want everyone (who is not a democrat) to be in a good mood by then. This is over, one way or another, by the end of June. That’s the clock that is ticking.
I do not believe for one second that anyone in Iranian leadership is discussing de-nuclearization with the Sunni-Arabs. The Chi-Comms are probably working through Pakistan, and Pakistan probably asked the Gulf leaders to buy them some more time with President Trump. He agreed as a statesman, but I’m sure his patience is wearing very thin.
The last thing the GCC needs is to fail. Won’t be a good look. I’m okay giving the GCC a few days to potentially succeed.

I hope PT gives them only two or three days, max. They’ve had many weeks and all they do is seek delay after delay. If they do not get serious and come to terms right away, then start the bombing campaign and make it really hurt, even if the talks are still going on.
