President Trump announced on Truth Social that he is delaying further strikes against Iran pending current negotiations with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. According to the announcement the Gulf States are negotiating a ‘zero nuclear’ position.
This is an interesting development as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) were previously the ones urging President Trump not to halt the military pressure campaign.
PRESIDENT TRUMP – “I have been asked by the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to hold off on our planned Military attack of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was scheduled for tomorrow, in that serious negotiations are now taking place, and that, in their opinion, as Great Leaders and Allies, a Deal will be made, which will be very acceptable to the United States of America, as well as all Countries in the Middle East, and beyond. This Deal will include, importantly, NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS FOR IRAN! Based on my respect for the above mentioned Leaders, I have instructed Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, The Chairman of The Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Daniel Caine, and The United States Military, that we will NOT be doing the scheduled attack of Iran tomorrow, but have further instructed them to be prepared to go forward with a full, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment’s notice, in the event that an acceptable Deal is not reached. I do not believe the mullahs of Iran will negotiate in any good faith with Saudi Arabia, EAU, and Qatar, any more than they would with President Trump. Read an article that said Pakistan sent aircraft and troops to Saudi Arabia. Could over time Iran may have to worry more about the countries around them. The U.S. could sit back and allow the GCC bomb away in Iran, it will be very bad for Iran if that happens, very bad. They will not have mercy.
I think Trump is trying to make Iran believe that the UAE are on their side and trying to help them, so how is it going to look if Iran keeps attacking them.

This war is dragging on too long. The Iranians are stalling and playing for more time. We’ve been in limbo for weeks now. No one can be trusted in that regime to follow through on any agreements. Trump should set a hard timeline like 48 hrs to agree to hand over all the nuclear material. Then unleash hell if they play cute and try to stall again.
This isn’t a war. It’s a calculated ass kicking. The USA has not been under fire. If that WERE to happen, then goodbye Iran. They know that!
What are you on? We have lost significant infrastructure at 11 bases in the region. Including nearly all the satellite communications radomes at camp Arifjan in Kuwait. We’ve lost dozens of aircraft, THAAD and Patriot defense systems, hangers, runways, fuel depots. Those bases are now unusable. The damages to these facilities is estimated at 5 billion dollars. I’d normally agree with you on this, but I believe this is being gamed out perfectly. Iran is felling the squeeze more than most know. Even Iran’s president came out over the last few days acknowledging such & openly communicating to the Iranian people (I’m paraphrasing) that times are difficult right now & are going to continue to be so. Also, advising other’s in Iranian leadership positions to not speak in false truths to the people & face the reality of events. They’re situation becomes more dire as each day passes. It’s almost a forgone conclusion at this point, just sit back & let it play out.
Imagine how exhausting it is for the bad guys to prepare for an obliterating attack and have it not come -over and over and over again.

I’m glad they are being extra careful to not unleash more harm to the people of Iran. No one thinks hot wars are anything to conduct unless absolutely necessary. Whatever they are aware of and the other leaders in the region are telling the US about, is more than we know for sure. There are reasons for all of it that are being considered seriously as it should be.
The only thing that bothers me is that the US announces time lines, deadlines, threatens to end Iran regime if they keep dragging the negotiations out, etc and then keeps backing off. This allows the Iranian leadership to save face, buy more time and look more in control than they probably are, all the while continuing to release drones and threaten the Straits and neighboring countries while mocking and threatening the USA and Pres. Trump, which the complicit anti American media loves to enhance.
Maybe it would be more convincing if nothing is said unless it actually is happening. Don’t let the Iranians know what’s going to drop on their heads and when if they keep playing games. It’s just seems better to not say anything rather than telling the world you’re going to do something and then keep changing your mind at the last minute, imo.
Guess they have their reasons for doing this and they sure know better than we do what they want to do. Hopefully they end this engagement with Iran soon. Elections are only 6 months away now and this is an issue that could influence votes going forward.
The better of two evils, I’ll take the Gulf States over the Pakistani’s any day. Their ISI (Inter-Service Intelligence) agency is among the best/worst on the planet to trust & deal with. They’d sell you out two ways from Sunday, then befriend you on Monday & Tuesday while tying to sell you both out to someone else on Thursday, all the while knowing that had an entirely different offer from someone else that they were planning to meet with on Friday. Saturday off!
They knew Bin Laden was housed in their county for years & didn’t say a thing to us. They’re always playing 7 sides of a two headed coin & can’t be trusted in the slightest.

It’s becoming obvious Trump is going to have to accept a bad deal and then try to put lipstick on the pig.
This needs to end quickly so that gas prices and food prices can recover and that will take several months. Somehow prices go up as soon as one tanker is delayed but will take months to slowly decline once the Strait is open. Trump is under enormous pressure from his own party to end this or they are going to lose a lot of seats in the midterm with early voting starting the beginning of October (which is insane but reality).

Iran comes out of this much stronger despite taking a pounding from the air. They showed they could completely stop the flow of oil and crash the world economy. They showed air strikes alone won’t defeat the regime. Nobody including any future president is going to confront them militarily again. The USA comes out weaker. All their high tech air power couldn’t cause regime change or force the Mullahs to capitulate. All the Gulf states that sided with the USA will now distance themselves because they saw the USA couldn’t protect them from Iran’s drone strikes. Trump who once looked invincible on military actions now looks indecisive plus had his hands tied by Congress. Not good. He also never explained why this operation was necessary if Midnight Hammer destroyed their nuclear sites and buried the enriched uranium under tons of rubble. It never made sense.
