Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being built as an information control mechanism that can make the prior government manipulation and control of online information pale in comparison.
The group discussion surrounds the regulatory capture playbook being pushed by certain AI companies, why open source is America’s secret weapon, and they detail the infrastructure crisis that could determine who wins the global AI race. He was for DeSantis but switched to Trump quite early and played a big part in getting Trump elected and funded. I don’t think this was because he’s “MAGA” in all things, but because he knows Trump was the best path by far to open up the tech markets in crypto, AI, robotics, and all the new things venture capitalists are excited about, and a million times better in guaranteeing the massive energy usage these new technologies will need.

Lots of these “data centers” are operating, and are being built, along the Columbia River in Washington and Oregon where Bonneville Power and all their dams are happy to start providing the electricity. The small-town governments along the river are already reaping large amounts of money by handing out big property tax breaks and other goodies to “coax” these outfits to build in their area. They sell it to the community as how the city will garner all this money and jobs. Jobs? Most of these centers get by with less than 30 new employees. And this doesn’t even get into the environmental degradation around the water required to cool all that computing power and the amount of acreage needed. These things are behemoths if you haven’t seen one yet. Multiply an Amazon distribution center by 3.

The worst? IMHO Smart technology will be implemented as a tool to consolidate totalitarian control via biometric body scans to include AI ‘updates’ to the cerebral cortex.

Next up, strategically placed biometric scanners that will either grant or deny our participation in general society based upon individual AI-generated profiles.

I think AI in centralized positions can affect us like in fields of money ( banking, purchase, loans, credit) and fake news.

Everything that is happening, both in general and in detail, was included in the teaching of Scripture our good conservative Bible teachers gave us (my DH and I) in Bible school in the 1960s. In human terms, we may indeed be somewhat helpless, but we do not have to be confused.
The details and overviews that Scripture provides about “how things will go” are not given for the purpose of arguments or other goofiness. They are given so that “when these things come to pass” believers who know the Scriptures will be oriented. Will recognize “the signs of the times”…and, therefore, will be less likely to be unstable and freaked out themselves, and more likely to be able to be of help to those around them, family, friends, or neighbors.
I believe you and I are viewing this development through the same lens.
Which is similar to that of the Great Catherine Austin Fitts who has been advising/preaching that we should be refocusing on community closer to home rather than on the far away institutions of government which interests are removed by orders of magnitude from societal cohesion and the welfare of the people who still believe the received dogma that government is a force for good. From the bottom up so to speak where our influences carry much greater…or alternatively, any… weight.
And yes, Scripture guides us, or should. It gives us our moral bearings and a Holy roadmap in dealing with what is to come eventually, the timing being indeterminate. But it will never lead us astray. As you divine so beautifully, so that we may be a blessing for our brothers and sisters who as yet can’t see where we are being involuntarily directed.
We are promised tribulations but also an end to them at some point, drawing nearer to our Father with Whom we fervently hope through His abundant gracei to spend eternity.

I actually have just completed a 4 month episode where my new prescription WAS wrong, but I thought it was just me. So, it works both ways.
The unemployment is a killer in the short-term, but maybe ai will create enough wealth so that governments can comfortably subsidize citizens. Nowhere does it say that a life without toil or money problems is a life not worth living. Perhaps our lives were meant for higher objectives.

That said I’ve watched his All In Podcast since almost the beginning, and heard his evolution as a conservative tech guy, and have almost always felt he was a solid thinker. He had a lot to do with Vance as VP and getting Trump connected to the wealth and backing of Silicon Valley…he hosted Trump at his home for a San Fran fundraiser that changed Trump’s election chances. He’s been solid from the beginning on Ukraine and understands the Neocon influence. I was thrilled he was chosen by Trump for this AI and crypto czar position.
This is very serious stuff for our future, our kid’s future’s, all of humanity’s future. Many of the tech guys are positioning themselves as “the good guys” who need to win the AI race. I don’t trust most of them. I trust Sacks more than almost any, but am afraid he’s too close to them all and could be used. We need solid legislation…privacy, open source, data ownership, AI…

Point #1 yes. But it’s too late to disengage — e.g. hectares of accumulated storage owned by NSA, google, etc, etc, etc. Even as careful as any of us might have been and are and will increasingly be, it’s WAY too late.
This is true, but, it is also almost impossible to interact on-line in any capacity without sharing your digital footprint. This all takes place behind the scenes but the trail between your computer, your phone, your application and the server it interacts with at the other end is documented during the communication whether by wire or radio wave. The government is always going to have the ability to identify your electronic transmissions. Most of the methods mentioned, just make it harder for the government to do so.

It so boggles the mind how eagerly many people dove right into their smartphones and tablets, social media platforms, voice and facial recognition software, Siri-type listening devices, smartwatches that monitor their every movement down to heart rhythms, cloud-based medical portals, and yes, even experimental mRNA nanotech injections capable of changing DNA, inserting computer boards inside of their brains and marking their blood for posterity.
When people are confronted with biblical prophecies and warnings I fail to see many carefully considered responses. What I do see, sadly, are boatloads of careless, apathetic, sheeple running headlong through the wide gate to eternal despair.

Time for the human and technology amendment to the constitution. In fact every constitution of all free countries and peoples. Blockchain = a decentralized network of computers verify information/transactions.
In his interview on Lex Fridman, Balaji Srinivasan (Trump nominated him for FDA head in T1 and the senate didn’t like him) talked about how the blockchain could be implemented. He used peered reviewed studies as an example. Right now these papers are published with private data used that you can’t verify and some “quotes” were wrong: what the quote/citation said wasn’t what the original paper said. Using the blockchain you would import the quote/data/summary/etc from the paper(s) and it would be verified statements/information.
Right now, you can’t replicate most claims made in peer reviewed “studies” because you don’t have access to the data, having the data published on the blockchain with the paper would allow anyone to replicate (prove) the results. I think it was the AMA (but it was some medical journal/org), but Balaji said that the peer reviewed group aged by exactly 1 year, every year over a decade+ meaning that it was the same group all peer reviewing each other.

Where does the danger in “AI” lie –
IF it can manage to keep its ‘lies’ straight and consistent over time, while managing to ignore facts and the reality WE see with our own eyes and ears.
There is a stock market crash coming first because the cash flows from AI – meaning people who buy the output of AI nowhere near matches the capital spending required. Companies like Oracle and Meta are now borrowing $billions madly to keep up.
AI is coming close to being Cash Flow Negative to companies. They are spending more than their companies cash flows from normal operations.
They can borrow for a time, but investors will see the revenue stream from AI is pathetic and then watch out below. That should sort out winners from losers.
Then you have wafers replacing computer chips which changes Nvidia’s technology advantages.

Are the tech companies “too big to be allowed to fail”? When the government bails them out, who makes the rules and controls the output?
As I stated on another forum, the primary product of AI is enhanced computational capability that augments human productivity, drives innovation across industries (e.g., healthcare diagnostics, financial forecasting, etc.), generates value through efficiency and novel insights, etc.
The demand for AI continues to escalate, not because AI is a speculative bubble like tulip mania was in the 17th century, but rather because technological advancements have combined with a genuine demand for the benefits of AI (e.g. augmented human productivity/innovation/efficiency/automation across industries).
Furthermore, it is a “transformative boom sector” which Grok rightly states is “characterized by rapid, sustained expansion driven by groundbreaking technological innovations that fundamentally alter production processes, consumer behaviors, and societal structures.”
AI has not reached a state of profitability yet because the infrastructure is still being constructed. Returns are expected to materialize after the initial push, perhaps beginning as early as 2030.
Whether the industrial revolution of the 18th-19th centuries or the technical revolution of the 1970s-1980s or this new era of AI, there are always profitability fluctuations. It’s not going to be a perfect slope of profitability right from the start. In the case of the AI, they have to build the infrastructure first.
AI is not like tulip mania, it is more like the industrial revolution where entities made significant investments to build the industrial plants and realized profitability afterwards.

I think AI will be limited by energy use, water and limited demand for an expensive product. In the end, government money will be the main supporter of AI no different than solar and wind. Without government money they don’t exist.

You are speaking about a very real problem. Politicians are responding by implementing AI data center efficiency mandates and demand-response programs which are good. What they aren’t doing; however, is lowering residential electric bills. After all, they are politicians who primarily rely on the handouts paid by the corporatist sector to keep their jobs so lowering voter’s electric bills becomes a non-sequitur to them in practice, though they keep it as a talking point to garner votes. “2084 and the AI Revolution” by John Lennox is a worthwhile read. It unmasks all the AI variants that are never mentioned and few think about.
I liked that Lennox covered both the benefits and the problems in a competent way. For example, with respect to the problems I liked how Lennox addressed: “job losses, loss of privacy through intrusive monitoring, and increasing state control” (p. 305).
He quoted Harari who states, “As many people lose their economic value, they might also come to lose their political power. [Ironically,] The same technologies that might make billions of people economically irrelevant might also make them easier to monitor and control.”

God’s final act of Mercy is coming soon. How can a Government that can’t even run a government post office monopoly or run a profitable passenger train monopoly be expected to run an AI information source monopoly with any hope of efficiency or accuracy? In other words, if something can be screwed up, political power mongers will figure out that one way to screw it up and we can take that to the bank, if you will.

The national debt will continue to soar to compensate for the above dysfunction.
Neither Republican nor Democrat elected representatives will take the right steps to solve the problem as that would mean rejecting the handouts from the monied interests enriching themselves from the continuation of the problem (argentocracy). Rather, the Republicans will argue for a spartan scarcity for U.S. citizens with the zeal of Nicolae Ceauescu to deal with the national debt while the Democrats simply escalate the national debt until the U.S. is in a situation akin to one of Argentina’s hyper-inflationary cycles.

The laws he’s talking about will simply help leftist AI creators to further distort information, in fact he described how it had already been done.
The hyperbole about how intelligent AI might become is a distraction from the real dangers we’re facing now. It’s who controls AI that makes it dangerous. Where are alternative programmers and companies or even hackers.
This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I can’t believe everyone is falling in line for it. If this becomes the norm how will we ever know who or what we can trust? I can pretend to be President Trump and put out all manner of fake news – how would anyone know the difference?

ALL of AI should be completely shut down because it will never ever be used for good without the dark forces using it for something other then whatever good it can be.
Calling it “Artificial Intelligence” is as much of a Joke as calling an Artificial Plant real because it’s all programmed by man and can never learn on its own.
I have been writing Software code since 1982. I can say without doubt AI is a misnamed application as there is NO actual Intelligence in the Code.
Software will do what it is DESIGNED TO DO. The only Artificial thing about it is the software, as written comes to conclusions by comparing known facts to questions, nothing Intelligent about it. That is why I call it Artificial Idiocy (AI). That said, the use of software to make decisions a long held fact. The sophistication of the actual code can be manifested by ‘biases’ contained in the algorithms (in English, the Formulas) IN the code. That is the dangerous part of this issue. Look at Google, it biases results of a search based on preconceived methods to yield desired results. Nothing in that methodology is Intelligent, it is designed to BIAS the result on purpose.
In my opinion all the AI data centers are going to be the clearing houses for all the information there is to gather for each person, so AI can be given a name, and medical, financial, legal, employment, social media, phone and text data, Internet history, home security systems, etc. profile/access will be created. We will all be guilty of something if that time ever comes.
Every one by now should realize that new technology is always introduced as most wonderful door to the improvement of mankind. Remember computers and the internet how they were going to improve our quality of life, save lives, make our lives simpler! Now look what they are really used for and how wonderful your lives have become. ANY new technology will be used by the bad guys and girls to do the most terrible things they can possibly do to give their small group of people control of billions of people. Why? Because the good guys trust to many bad guys…. Trust but verify…
