President Trump will be meeting with Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the summit in South Korea. The meeting was initially scheduled for an hour, but White House officials extended that anticipated schedule to 3 hours in advance of Xi’s arrival.

We do have to start testing in my opinion. President Trump may be correct with regard to U.S. having a greater arsenal of missiles individually, but not with China and Russia combined.. Past U.S administrations have been too accommodating to China because of personal greed and now we find ourselves in this uncomfortable position.
Then of course there is North Korea.
Keep in mind that North Koreans are already fighting on the front lines with Russia in Ukraine. Both countries just started testing new nuclear capable long range missiles. Saber rattling at its finest. Ignoring this turn of events is not an option.
To my mind, the only reason for this rush meeting was that Xi was rattled and concerned when President Trump was having a huge trade and personal success in his own back yard, so to speak. Really a matter of damage control, one might say. Xi had to exert his dominance by attempting to destroy the appearance of US success. He never had any intention of coming to any agreement, quite the opposite.
Yes the reason you stop testing is hope that the equipment Rots in silos and those who know how to fix it die.

There was fallout in these two cities. Thing is the most dangerous stuff has a half-life less than 10 years or even much less on the order of months or weeks.
That and the linear no threshold model for radiation exposure is fundamentally flawed.
Would have to hunt for it but if I remember correctly there was an office building in Japan that was found to have mildly radioactive steel incorporated into its structure in the 70s or 80s maybe. Point is that they found out that the office workers were in a generally healthy state despite the radiation levels being slightly above background. Which may have some provable correlation with that outcome.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were hit by the first nukes ever invented, uranium and plutonium – archaic by today’s standards – but there are still elevated levels of radiation in both places 80 years later. Hydrogen bombs are a completely different matter. A large hydrogen bomb – the most destructive weapon ever invented by man – are about 1,000 times more powerful than the Japan bombs.
It’s impossible to know exactly how long an H-bomb explosion would leave a place uninhabitable, since it’s never happened, but given that H-bombs are 1,000 times more powerful than A-bombs, the best estimates are that the radiation contamination would be correspondingly more destructive than Hiroshima.

The initial meeting in front of the press was quite revealing. Xi was quite withdrawn and had no comment before they continued to the meeting.
The speech Xi gave at the conference table was also revealing. He mentioned that he also worked on peace agreements that President Trump had worked on and witnessed this trip. Xi also commented that he too was working on peace agreements between countries. So obviously jealous of the reception that President has had with other Asian countries. Strangely nobody picked up on it.
I do not expect a positive outcome from this meeting. Bannon’s War Room guest just said that the conditions that Xi wanted to attend this meeting was that US would not interfere if China invaded Tiawan (sp)? It is hard for me to believe that President Trump would agree to that. We shall see.
