Keep your friends close and your senators closer …
I’m sure that the milquetoast millionaires will duly lecture PDJT on how not to allow one’s pinky to touch one’s teacup whilst sipping the Earl Grey.
Catch Danny Devito’s conversation with his agent when Mr Devito was invited to tea with the late Queen, Elizabeth II.
It’s a ripper!
I’m certainly no milquetoast millionaire but my Earl Grey is deliciousness. I place two bags in one of those Keurig self fill containers, brew one coffee full, add two to three teaspoons of raw honey, a squeeze of lemon juice, stir, and pour it over a full large glass of Ice.
sounds like a plan for me now…….
The cats must be herded
“And it ought to be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things, because the innovator has for enemies all those who have done well under the old conditions, and lukewarm defenders in those who may do well under the new” -Niccolò Machiavelli (The Prince; Chapter 6).
“I beg your pardon”… (us older folk know the rest)! 😉
<“I beg your pardon”…>
I didn’t promise you a ham sandwich 🙂
Ya’ never let us down! LOL
Would you like som Grey poupon on that?
<“I beg your pardon”…>
I didn’t promise you a perpetual grift garden!
I want a mushroom sandwich, and I want it right now! iykyk…
Sir…kosher or non- kosher ????
Yes, we certainly do. Those still waters run deep….
No OMB RIFs, and DOGE appears stalled with suggested cuts at $220 Billion, 22% of goal.
Hold the line! Let Welfare get the axe!!!!
I’m beginning to think much of the Libby hatred for PDJT is driven by envy.
He’s self made – not beholden to interests like they are. His real estate is at a level none of them can or will ever achieve, nor will any of them ever be invited to any of his magnificent estates. They’re nobodies. He’s remodeling the WH – the Trump Ballroom, the Trump Rose Garden, etc. – so they’re stuck with this visual of his legacy.
Nothing anybody can do and that includes Liberal politicians, will ever make a Liberal happy. They are just plain out miserable human beings. You can give every ILLEGAL full citizenship and they would still be miserable. They wake up in the morning hating everything around them.
Correct. And they are psychotic control freaks too boot. They feel they should be in control of everything, even though everything in their control, including their own personal lives, is an abject disaster.
Bigger picture would be Biden/Harris whatever! Abject disasters. 😎
The very existence of such a prominent self-made man disproves the Lefty narrative that nobody can possibly succeed without big government’s and big institutions’ help (“You didn’t build that.” “It takes a village.” “Scientific consensus.” “Whole of society.” “Rules based International Order.” etc.) All their money, all their power, all their votes are built on top of that collectivist narrative.
The more wins President Trump chalks up all by himself and his own talents, the more it rubs the Left’s nose in their own failures.
Self-reliance is the greatest threat to the institutional Left.
Dear Mom and Dad,
I’m spending my time as an intern in the White House serving tea and sandwiches to Senators in the Rose Garden. At least I don’t have to worry about Senator Graham hitting on me.
Your loving daughter,

I’m not sure about the optics of this when people are starting to talk about the loss of SNAP on 11/1. I am sure I don’t care. The libs and MSM would find something else if they didn’t have this.
Did you forget the 5-star resort retreat the Democrats are attending in California? Tea and sandwiches in the Rose Garden seems cheap!
Times are hard these days – one must behave accordingly. It’s probably too much to hope that he will be lining them up and (oh never mind). I don’t want to get in trouble ….
Yeah, I don’t care anymore either.
These programs SNAP, EBT, Food stamps, Section 8 housing were all initially sold to the taxpayers as “temporary assistance to help people through the rough spots” have turned into cradle to grave entitlement programs that ensure that none of those people (or their many children) will ever be productive members of our society.
That’s right. Sell them initially as just temporary assistance because of whatever problem is going on. Get huge credit up front because you were helping people (actually making them more dependent on govt). And then when the expiration of the temporary assistance is approaching (after having made people more dependent), start screaming that your opponents are being inhumane, unjust, uncaring, etc. etc., and then they will naturally cave and go along with making the program permanent. That was the whole point all along. A new permanent program and millions dependent on it and voting for you because you are protecting their new “entitlement”.
Without a doubt there are enough Senate Republicans willing to make this current expiring temporary SNAP program permanent. They won’t say so, but that is what they will support in any larger “deal” to resolve the shutdown “crisis”.
At this point, any Senate Republican who gives an inch and votes for anything other than the clean continuing resolution must be primaried and gotten out of the Senate at the first opportunity.
They were designed to launder money….. look at all the Democrats, etc. that own stocks tied to the Snap funding….. Especially with the Clinton’s connections to the Walton Family, whom are the biggest recipients of SNAP funds.
reducing SNAP benefits lowers the price of groceries for everyone. Sundance has elaborated on this issue many times.
I hope he’s serving peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Marxist and communists could care less about optic. They want to murder your children.
Or, if they let them live, indoctrinate them.
Oh nooo…🥺, they might have to go out and actually get jobs to pay for their soda and snacks. 🤔
If you were in the grocery business it would be a big deal.
12% of all grocery sales and for the struggling mid west probably closer to 30%
We built a government dependent society. A little reminder that counting on the government is a bit like counting on teenagers leaving gas in your car.
30% of DC is on SNAP. Also heard the average income of folks on Obama care is $85,000. Go figure.
I turned him off no more than a few minutes in, and I don’t mind saying I’m really pissed.
Sometimes my President is so classless I want to puke. I came here to say it, to sound off, rather than putting it on X or elsewhere, where his attackers would be.
He began by referring to where the swimming pool used to be, the one Jack Kennedy had built when he was in office.
Then, he told a story I guess he had read or heard, and which he quite stupidly and classlessly thought was an appropriate story for his luncheon remarks that would be heard by tv audience.
“This [the pool] was the place that Jackie Kennedy was referring to when she told agents ‘I heard women; I heard voice, women’s voices coming from there.'”
My God, man, my folks were not Jack Kennedy voters, and I read early in life a lot of bios of the man, am very familiar with his carousing, and his escapdes, but THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO REFER TO ANY OF THAT. You want to write a bio of him, it’s appropriate. NEITHER THE TIME NOR THE PLACE WHERE YOU STAND speaking to GOP elected officials and to the nation is a place for cheap thrills anecdotes about a President who still has a living daughter and grandkids.
Sometimes he makes me cringe as much as Dems do. I feel bad for Melania and his youngest kids.
Yes, I’m pissed. Hope you understand, but if you don’t, I appreciate the space here to comment.
Well, maybe.
When I read “Ask Not” by Maureen Callahan, its very clear the Kennedy men, extending into the third generation, really are and have been, a mess. It was even more shocking over and above that which is common knowledge.
After reading that book I went into my library, filled with lots and lots of Kennedy family books, even two sets of Jackie’s that also have CD’s included, and donated each and every one of them.
I like what RFK Jr. is attempting in his position but my lord, he can be a horrible person. When you read about his first wife and even worse, the treatment of her remains after her death; I was totally finished with all of them.
I have not read that book. Doesn’t sound like I will.
I have heard that about RFK,Jr too but I do think a really hard person may just what is needed in his position. And perhaps he can learn from his mistakes.
I believe it was his second wife that you are referring to-he married his first wife at UVA and cheated on her with the second wife that committed suicide.
Yes, I’ve read a lot about them. It was in their genes: their old man was awful and when you combine genes, culture, and power, that is what you got.
Jackie knew full well that he was untamed and likely to always remain that way. Her family background left her wanting to marry a rich man and she was responsible for her “lot.” The tragedies of her life, and yes, the tragedies of the Kennedy family, losing two sons to assassination, are no less tragic simply because they were classless.
The patriarch was a monster, authorizing an experimental lobotomy for his disabled daughter to prevent her from “embarrassing the family.”
The “doctor” doing the surgery would have fit well into the practice of Mengele at the concentration camps.
https://gwhatchet.com/2023/12/11/a-moral-monster-and-the-lobotomys-legacy-at-gw/
I believe the inventor of the lobotomy was a “”Harvard Man.” I’m not from the NE, so I don’t understand the Harvard hype.
It might have meant something 100 years ago, but Thurston Howell III would be quite properly appalled today by Hahvahd!
I was not impressed by the few people in my high school class, nor the few whom I had taught, who were admitted!
One of my former students who was admitted to Hahvahd – on a Baseball scholarship of all things – was a combination of a lazy dunce and goofball.
Those of us who can’t/ wont watch videos don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.
What videos? I was watching POTUS’ remarks to the assembled at lunch, on tv.
That is your problem, watching TV, sort of like the final game between the Mariners and the Bluejays on Fox,and the political hit piece ad that came on hearing Ronald Regain talking about tariffs, out of context of course,to say President Trump was hurting our beloved Canadian brothers.
You do not get it,he was comparing them all the to the Kennedy’s,just not using the names of the ones in the Rose Garden, the whole thing was his way of putting them down.
You do not get it,he was comparing them all the to the Kennedy’s,just not using the names of the ones in the Rose Garden, the whole thing was his way of putting them down.
Ah, but I DO GET IT, and it’s absolutely CLASSLESS, the time and place he chose and frankly, that he chose it at all.
There are indeed whole libraries of book detailing the excesses of the Kennedy family and most people who wish to know specifics, wish to get the details, salacious or not, can read those books.
A sitting President telling anecdotes “even the Secret Service told people,” anecdote making the deceased former First Lady seem pathetic make POTUS look classless and pathetic himself, like a gossip who runs from table to table to share scurrilous stories.
Yawn. Lighten up, would ya.
No. I don’t come here to give others guffaws and laughter. Do you?
Ok. I come here for enlightenment.
I don’t like a lot of what he says…often turn him off.
But I like pretty much all of what he does.
Trump gonna Trump.
And never forget, our other choices were Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
I agree. I am a huge supporter, which is why he sometimes infuriates me. I often remind myself of Sundance’s words when he ran the first time: you don’t get perfect people.
As I said, I came here to blow off steam, knowing others have often felt the same over these last years.
I think I know how you feel. Trump is an unique individual. I think he is results oriented and that basically all that matters.
When he first started in 2015 and forward he could make you cringe with some of his rhetoric. He could be rude, crude, combative, insulting, etc. I really didn’t care for Fat, ugly, stupid, horse face comments about people or his getting in a food fight with the likes of Rosie O’Donnell. And, that’s why so many say they don’t like him, but like his policies and it does make it easier for the left to hate him.
Like you, I love what he has done and what he is trying to do. We were losing our country, IMO and it takes a strong personality like President Trump to deal with all the sharks in politics and others.
So to me his personality and the rhetoric of the others in politics is all noise. What are they actually doing and what they accomplish is really all that matters. You have people like Obama who speak in political prose and are very likable, but they actually are evil and secretly do things to destroy the greatest country ever.
JMHO
100%
Duh! He is authentic!
The man is entitled to be himself..nit picking about what he says, and how he says it says more about the whiner than the President.
Just my opinion
You Gotta remember all hes been thru since 2015. I dont see any politico with Class so what the hell enjoy all the winning we’ve seen. Get your ass out for a walk. Seems like some people just cant be pleased.
Well, that’s true.
Now that you’ve got it out of your system, move forward Good soldier! 😊
“Classless” truth
makes up a lot of
—true history.
Cannot wait to hear about some of the other previous “classless” occupants of the White House
-including current DC swampers.
So thankful for President Trump, warts and all.
I once had acquaintances, a husband and wife, while riding in their Mercedes to dinner, who bashed everyone and anyone, myself included, who were both sleeping around on each other, spending money on blow daily, and were the epitome of everything wrong with society. They painted themselves in “class.” You didn’t dare speak evil (well, I did) of this power couple. His business went broke, she divorced him and went on to her next sugar daddy.
Sometimes the truth hurts…even closet stuff from decades gone by.
Shame them. And when they boo-hoo, shame them some more.
I prefer reality and truth over Potemkin villages.
Is that like a mean tweet or something? Oh, the pearls are everywhere!
I don’t care that we didn’t elect Bishop Sheen.
PDJT is getting the hard things done against satanic enemies.
Like I said, I came HERE to blow off steam.
Done yet?
Thank you!
You’re welcome:):)
See comment above–just skip my name, no problem.
No, but I and what I say shouldn’t concern you.
There are many on blogs I read whose names I skip because I have come to not waste my time on their comments.
Recognize my handle from now on and skip my comments, easy peasy.
I think you missed the point that I and many “Likes” were making. No problem with your post, just that you kept reposting the same thing endlessly. Readers here aren’t dumb. We got it the first time.
Bishop Sheen was great against the demons too!
Your concern is noted. If only norms could be restored. (clutches pearls)
There’s a practical reason as much as an emotinal one: when he does such things, he puts his serious policies and efforts in peril since popular opinion matters in politics.
If that were the case the lib’s would be celebrating his comments right now.
After 9 + years of barn storming for this country he deserves to make gestures/comments that we may not totally get. Knowing Trump he has his reasons. That’s all.
But we get your point.
The reason POTUS has had to not campaign in either NJ or VA for the GOP’s candidates for governor is because he has been told and he knows that they need turnout of Gop voters to win those races. Early voting in Dem controlled northern VA is higher this election than any before and too many GOP ballots have not been returned.
It doesn’t take much for a voter thinking of voting for the GOP to have his or her mind changed by some careless comments from the person most identified with the gop.
Okay you have to be kidding.now. Trump is the only reason buckets of Republican and independent voters vote.
Do you really think Romney or.Bush or Desantis.campaigning in NJ or VA would drive people to the poles? If they could the.money.men would be.dragging them out there to be the party saviors and setting them up for the next run.
…NEITHER THE TIME NOR THE PLACE WHERE YOU STAND speaking to GOP elected officials and to the nation is a place for cheap thrills anecdotes about a President who still has a living daughter and grandkids….
You are more than entitled to feel as you do IMO. However, as regards to his “grandkids” – have you not listened to his grandson and the slop that comes out of his mouth… If not, check it out he is an obnoxious looser who the left loves to compare to his uncle – young John Kennedy (not even close, he had class).
I always look forward to your posts and insight!
The grandson I heard from a few years ago, yes.
Thanks for your comment.
You know TL, I understand. I have many times been listening to our President speak and he has said something and my heart just sinks and I am like, Lord, why would he say that?! And yet, I have learned over many years that he doesn’t always speak with eloquence but, he does speak truthfully, he’s always kind and respectful and willing to listen to those who show him the same and he has definitely proven he has an open mind and is willing to work fairly with everyone. And it’s President Trump that is America first, the very embodiment of it.
He definitely speaks like a contractor from NYC and a guys’ guy and I have always considered him a wealthy guy with a blue collar heart. I may not always like the things he says but, I sure do like the things he does and I accept him warts and all!
He also had a lot of good things overall to say and thanked a whole lot of people who needed to be thanked so I hope you can get to hear the whole speech at another time.
My feelings too. (My Dad was from the Bronx, Arthur Ave not in Manhattan, but the Bronx.)
Past Presidents had warts that were hidden & glossed over. I think it’s time to STOP putting past President’s Press Office Propaganda, elevating them to saints, on endless repeat.
Trump is a truth teller and if you want him to tell lies over tea in the Rose Garden, you obviously have the wrong guy.
Seems you want a dragon slayer But he must raise his pinkie when drinking tea.
You will live to tell the tale.
He was joking Whinnyyyyyyyy. Humor is a good thing he was referencing a movie Man Im certainly glad you’re not my neighbor. Smokey and the bandit does FO mean anything to you Go play with the liberals it was a great speech very informative.
Speaking of Melania, wondering why she once again was MIA in her Rose Garden. This after her puzzling no-show at the Rose Garden ceremony posthumously awarding Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, while nearly every member of the Trump Administration was present. Or perhaps one shouldn’t ask.
Gloria… I give you hint maybe you will able figure out why we not see much VSGPDJT with Melania since about mid June…6’3″ ver – sus 5’11″…..
??????
I actually heard or read that is was Melania who was in charge of arranging Charlie’s ceremony.
Wouldn’t President Trump have mentioned that at the ceremony? He didn’t. I also saw a false report that Melania went to Israel with him. I’ve seen no statement from her regarding the release of the hostages or the ceasefire. What am I missing here?
JFK cultivated his own cult of personality. He had Bill Bradley, Pierre Salinger, Huntley, Brinkley, and many more all covering for him and building up his personal Cult of Personality.
You are offended that President Trump told a crowd of self-important politicians who all have high opinions of themselves that another politician (JFK) was self-important and had a high opinion of himself, and enjoyed an undeserved status as an icon?
For details about JFK’s true nature see: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/143373.The_Dark_Side_of_Camelot
Yes, I’ve read scores of books. “Camelot” was Jackie’s idea.
JFK was the first “media-made” POTUS.
LOL, no.
“Please meet Darth Vader.” The dems name for Russ Vought. And now Thune is here to put you all to sleep.
Where are the AIPAC handlers?
they are in the shadows. to name them is to be antisemitic.
If someone were to spill wine or coffee on those white tiles in the Rose Garden is that going to permanently stain them?
correctly,prperly Sealed, and sealed often
I read that Rand Paul was not invited. I wonder if anyone else is disfavored at the moment on the Senate Republicans side of the aisle.
Is massie there? 😁
it says senators …so no
Saw that as well. Rand Paul is saying he wasn’t invited, but President Trump is saying he was invited. Not sure if Trump is simply trolling him or there was a real miscommunication.
But how could Paul not have known the lunch was happening when every other Republican in the Senate got an invite? He could have asked Thune or send an inquiry to the WH asking ‘where is my invite?’, but apparently he didn’t. They might be trolling each other. But also kind of risky not inviting him when you need all Senate Republicans to hold together, even if you are doubtful this one Senator will vote the right way.
Remember Rand Paul pulled the same stunt with the picnic when Paul was vocally opposing the Big Beautiful Bill back in June. He is a lying SOS. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/sen-rand-paul-says-was-uninvited-white-house-picnic-breaks-trump-rcna212499
Rand just has a huge ego too.
Most likely has a huge off shore bank account as well-courtesy of the Cartels
Yes, he is. I have a hard time understanding where he is coming from. Sometimes he sounds so reasonable and trying to do the right thing, and then he is totally off base and full of it. There seems to be something in him that cannot resist fighting people he should be siding with, and you can never tell when that side of him is going to pop up. He can never be relied upon or trusted because of it.
did VSGPDJT fall to love sen.Cornyn????..he portrait himself as MAGA …
I trust someone will ask PDJT about the NYP report that the meeting with President Putin has been postponed.
..I think they are in the process quietly removing Z.. and they will meet soon after he “retire” with his loot to FLORIDA/CESEREA ????
Plans for a summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest have been called off, according to multiple reports published on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. The White House confirmed there are “no plans” for the two leaders to meet in the immediate future, marking a reversal from Trump’s earlier announcement that the talks would take place within two weeks.
The decision follows a “productive” phone call between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday, after which officials determined that an in-person preparatory meeting was no longer necessary. However, the White House did not provide further details on why the summit was shelved.
President Trump seems to change position on Russia almost as often as Imelda Marcos changed shoes.
Zelensky is intransigent…yet he has significant support in congress and with the EU. I hope Trump can lay back and let Ukraine stew in Zelensky’s intransigence and refuse calls for escalation. It seems to be a waiting game.
I am so grateful you have taken the time to explain,President Trump’s, thoughts and actions to us.
“President Trump seems to change position on Russia almost as often as Imelda Marcos changed shoes. “
President Trump is way nicer to Thune than he should be. The blue slip rule is total bullshit.
It’s THEIR total 🐂💩 & they love the trappings of THEIR power & the self enrichment & glorification that it brings them.
Yes but. I believe President Trump is results oriented and that’s all that matters. He says things and does things toward accomplishing his objectives and doesn’t care all that much what people think of him personally.
There is no doubt in my mind that 80%+ Republicans in Congress are Establishment UniParty RINOs, in varying degrees. They have the Establishment support behind them, but President Trump has the Republican voters behind him. So, IMO, he and they, for that matter, are not openly hostile to each other, but behind the scenes they are trying to get things the way they want it.
I saw a comment that Trump made with the negotiators about negotiating with Hamas. The question was should we talk directly with Hamas and Trumps comment was why would I not talk with them. He wants a deal to stop this insane war so he doesn’t care how it looks-Get It Done!

Trump’s joyful pep rally with the Senate seems to have triggered Schumer.
—
3m ago
Schumer says he and Jeffries reached out to Trump to “sit down and negotiate with us”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said at his weekly news conference that he and Jeffries “reached out to the president today and urged him to sit down and negotiate with us to resolve the health care crisis, address it, and end the Trump shutdown.”
Schumer blasted Senate Republicans for holding what he called a “pep rally,” referring to their lunch meeting at the White House in the afternoon.
“They’re at the White House today, not for negotiations or to work on any path out of the shutdown, but for a pep rally,” Schumer said.
https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/government-shutdown-latest-trump-to-meet-with-senate-republicans
So what is the new dust up with Rand Paul? Got his nose bent out of shape cause he didn’t get an invite to lunch? Didn’t know it was by individual invitation…..several headlines posted republican senators…. Is his one or does he go by libertarian now? I am sick of all these so called republicans “IN NAME ONLY” not banning together “FOR THE PEOPLE”! I don’t see any of them refusing a $500.00 a day paycheck while the people suffer! Why don’t we see 53 republican votes to open the government??
As data points – Husted of Ohio (appointed replacement for Vance) has stated he wants his salary withheld. Moreno of Ohio has introduced a bill that would not just withhold or delay, but fine lawmakers equivilent to their pay during a shutdown to insure that there is an actual price to be paid for failure to do their duty. (Had thought I had seen that Moreno was also not taking pay, but cannot find that confirmed – biased internet search in confirming info can be a problem.)
Assess as you will.
Well, that would entail blowing up the 60-vote threshold, which is the only THING holding this body of 100 to still be called a SENATE. Otherwise, they just become two additional House members from each State.
They are beyond dysfunctional in the Senate.
I would ask: Why haven’t all the Dems in the Senate voted to open the government?
The Senate Dems are looking at each other saying, what do we do now? Their big insurection flopped this past weekend.
That idiot Sheldon Whitehouse is asking “what does Putin have on Trump” and everyone just ignores Sheldon. Who names their kid Sheldon? Pompous rich elites is who.
honey….we do not have $$$$$$ to open government….
As long as we are talking about sticking together, why has PDJT47 withheld his endorsement from Winston Sears in Va?
I am theorizing that you will see the Dimms meekly reopen the government if the Va and NJ Governors offices go to the Reps.
Shouldn’t we stick together up and down the line?
PDJT did endorse Sears. https://virginia.gop/pres-trump-blasts-jay-jones-tells-voters-to-support-lt-gov-earle-sears/
There is lots of skunks in the Rose Garden party today VSGPDJT… watch ms.linda
The Kennedy swimming pool reference was followed up by a quip at the media. The same media who hid who JFK, LBJ , BHO and FDR really were. It was tactical communication, verbal judo.
And, it aint bragging if its true.
