Earlier today President Trump held a press availability in the oval office with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The topics of conversation surrounded trade, NATO funding, Ukraine, Russia, President Trump’s conversation with Chairman Xi Jinping, the tax cut and budget bill and Elon Musk’s criticism.
At 04:42 of the video President Trump discusses his conversation with Chairman Xi Jinping of China. President Trump and Chairman Xi agreed to organize their teams for another discussion and President Trump noted he would be sending Scott Bessent, Howard Lutnick and Jamieson Greer to another round of talks to hammer out the details. Additionally, President Trump invited Chairman Xi to the USA, and Chairman Xi invited President Trump to visit China.
At the 10:00 mark, President Trump discusses the autopen controversy around the former Biden administration. At 13:40 President Trump was asked about Elon Musk and his opposition to the Big Beautiful Bill. President Trump and Scott Bessent walk through the benefits inside the bill and President Trump notes the EV subsidy was removed from the bill which seemed to be problematic for Musk. WATCH:

…”He hasn’t said anything bad about me personally, but I’m sure that will be next. But I’m very disappointed in Elon”…

Herr Merz sort of got pushed to the side today with the Musk War.
America first
-eh 😜
I believe he had a pre-meeting with congressional bigwigs.
Three guesses what was discussed.
As we said as children, “And the first two don’t count.”
Okay Betsy, I’ll play… here are my three:
1. Tariffs
2. Ukraine
3. Tariffs
4. Ukraine
And one for good measure 😉
Are you the Betsy with the yolk of oxen, a spotted hog, a Shanghai rooster and an old yellow dog?
Might be…😉😎
Haven’t checked the back yard recently…
Oh dear, you forgot thrice Ukraine.
The visit from this Eurocrat German sockpuppet, was a waste of time in general.
Nothing Mertz says should carry influence in Europe, let alone the USA.
Any idea of the Tariffs?
I expect that Musk’s next move will be to challenge PDJT to a steel-cage octagon fight, just like he did with Zuckerberg.

Fred was so great
I always got a laugh out of Fred Mertz’s pants. The zipper alone must be a foot long! Congressman “Nadless” Nadler must have liked what he saw on “I Love Lucy” growing up and thought, “This guy is a sharp dresser!” PDJT ought to tell Merz at the end of the press conference, “Give my regards to Ricky Riccardo!”
The Chancellor wants to know where’s Ethanol?
I want to know where the lower prices are for groceries (eggs) and gas! It is certainly not in this state. I wonder who is telling him inflation is 2% ?
Not in my state either, in fact some prices are going up.
That’s the old Fred Mertz! Much more of a man as we all can see, even if his boss was named Ricky!
President Trump opened his home and the White House to him, all graciously.
I wouldn’t trust the Chinese at the WH though. They can’t be trusted at all. Their electronic devices should all be seized for example in any engagement here on our soil.
That’s protocol Johnny…
And Our “stuff” is better than their stuff.
No worries.
The fake war in Ukraine inspired and manufactured off the success of the fake war on Covid…
I believe Trump knows but how do you end a fake war when the same globalists who faked a global pandemic are the same actors involved..Trump was relying on the body count card but is realizing now that nobody really cares about the “dead and dying even if it was real. ($trillions at stake)He will have to raise the official weekly death count per week to 10,000. Formerly 2,500, currently 5,000.
I wonder if Elon will reflect later in life. As we all grow older, our resolve doesn’t per se diminish over right and wrong. But as my father and grandfather would say as they got older and wiser “why do you want to get all worked up over that”. On such a grand stage and time of importance cooling ones jets and just sitting down and discussing it agree/disagree/debate in just a sincere manner. Such a grand relationship could have formed between these two men and Musk has tossed it into the wood chipper. This is why we need our elders to ‘let it go’. Sad really.
Good point. Why? All the “tech bros” including Elon have the Emotional maturity of a 9 year old. But make no mistake, the AI provisions in the BBB, lots of government cash and no oversight or regulation is what they really want. Pretend MAGA, to secure control. What else would an emotional 9 yr old want? His way
They already have most of what they want. RealID, eyeball scanning everywhere, loads of data collection from everywhere. Pretty much anyone can be tracked anywhere now. There are a few loopholes but once they get the cbdc things will be golden. I’m sure they have checkpoints being installed on the roads at various places in mind just in casel or just more traffic cams. They haven’t gotten the vehicle shutoff thingy yet but I’m sure that’ll come back at some point.
Republicans/Conservatives/Libertarians are the Parties of ideas and their voters/supporters/members often clash
Democrats = Communists = Nazis = Fascists = Islam where there is one doctrine and set of ideas and when the leader says something everyone obediently follows with no discussion. Think I’m wrong? Here’s a sequence.
“Joe Biden has perfect mental health. There is nothing wrong with him.” Everyone on the Left was in on it. Everyone
Primaries are rigged for Biden early 2024 – RFK Jr treated like garbage.
All of sudden after debate “Get rid of him now. He’s a vegetable. We knew it all along.”
“We don’t need another primary now that Biden is gone – vote for Kamala or else.”
See any discussion there. Did you one Democrat remotely object. Did Democrat voters have a say in any of this? Nope.
I like Trump and admire Elon. We can take that clash.
Exactly, the mistake Elon is making is that he believes We the People, the MAGA base, will throw away our values because he said so; it’s the same reason why the Dems are on the wrong side of every 80/20 issue right now. The RINOs are exposing themselves.
They toothpaste is out of the tube: the dems support terrorists, illegals, and men in women’s sports. They defended government, fraud, waste, and abuse. They flew to El Salvador to stump for an illegal alien MS13 human smuggling gang member.
Elon was a tool whose usefulness expired. He thought there were going to be favors, he misjudged. IMO, if the subsidies were in there, he will also use that to attack Trump. I don’t have to give two craps what Elon thinks regarding the direction of things and there may be a time I align but it doesn’t change what I think needs to be done. I voted for Trump for a reason and the start is in that bill; what the demons have added to it…that’s on them because he made a deal to get what he needs. The tariff deadline is right around the corner.
Slowly at first and than all at once.
Where is the trillion of waste, fraud and abuse promised by Musk/Doge? Never materialized, why?
Talk to your Congress
You forgot transgender, LGBTQ garbage.
Jerry Nadler lol
Thanks Jerry. You can be so clear sometimes, then a real dbag on the floor. It’s like you’re two different people!
I don’t think Musk has anywhere near the political skills the president has. I recall Sundance talking about this occurring at some point right after Trump was elected. I wonder if the Trump team put the bill together minus the EV credit to annger Mysk and push him out of the White House. He had become a lightning rod to the left. I’m just glad it’s happening well in advance of November 2026, just as Sundance also said today. But I am definitely thinking this is the Trump team pushing him out and Musk is highly upset about that. He got out maneuvered.
I think Musk had too much power and he had to go
Not just political skills but also maturity and wisdom. PTrump has had many more years than Elon to develop those crucial traits (and probably a much better upbringing).
Musk has no
political aspirations…on earth.
He wants to be emperor of Mars and start a martian dynasty.
Yes he really is bat$#@t crazy and you just can’t ignore all the signs.
Careful now. Too much talk of humans leaving the third rock from the sun and you’ll likely get the attention of someone who’ll say that it is impossible for humans to pass through the Van Allen Belts and survive. 🙄
Ditto the Apollo missions being hoaxes.
If Musk really wants to rule on another world so bad he can figure out how to get there on his own dime and survive there by his own industriousness and local resources.
Would Musk need total recall for that?
He could start now.
Curious on everyone’s body language readout. President Trump didn’t seem to like merz tone on Ukraine at the end. The quiet nod and hands clasped usually means he’s not happy
Merz pushing the “Give back the children” BS.
We all know what was happening to those children in Ukraine.
I listened to this once, with occasionally glancing at the participants. Going to watch again to look at the body language, which usually speaks louder.
President Trump seemed irritated towards the end when Merz went on an Ukraine tangent.
I don’t think Trump particularly wanted to talk about it. During that time he had his hands put together kind of looking down and nodding to humor him. To me he didn’t seem to agree with merz but was being respectful
Some of them kids turned up *in* Germany.
So that tells you something about their due diligence, if they were sincere.
Which of course they totally aren’t.
Will picking a public fight against the bill that ends billions in government ev subsidies insulate musk from his role in the administration that cost his company billions as far as his shareholders are concerned?
Or will he be considered negligent in his fiduciary responsibilities?
An underwhelming meeting. Merz offered nothing and left with nothing.
I thought Elon had laid off the blunts…
There was something extremely funny about Trump referencing Nazis while merz obviously wanted to gloss over it.
No outward fireworks in the meeting, I think because Merz seems meek and the press didn’t ask any questions about the AFD, or much about ukr. The 2 obviously didn’t agree on Ukraine. It’s pretty clear Trump is ready to just let them finish fighting but he can’t say anything too loudly until the bill is passed
Just say no on the Graham bill.
Merz looks just like Mr. Mackey, the school teacher in South Park.
M’kay?
The Saudi Arabia Arab News online newspaper’s reporting on the meeting today between President Trump and German Chancellor Merz.
titled “Trump says it may be better to let Ukraine, Russia ‘fight for a while’ as Merz blames Putin for war”:

Thank You. Good read.
Germany faces a financial crisis worse than 2008 – bracing for a continued surge in major insolvencies throughout 2025 and even 2026, according to a recent analysis by credit insurer Allianz Trade. This all comes after a disastrous 2024, which saw a record-breaking number of bankruptcies in the country.
Allianz Trade forecasts an overall increase of 11 percent in corporate insolvencies in Germany this year, reaching approximately 24,400 cases. A further 3 percent rise to 25,050 cases is anticipated for 2026. These insolvencies put an estimated 210,000 jobs at risk across Germany.
In the first quarter of this year, 16 large German companies—those with revenues of €50 million or more—filed for insolvency. While this is a slight decrease of three cases compared to the same period last year, it’s double the number recorded in the first quarter of 2023.
Meanwhile, May was the best in 35 years for U.S. stocks—and hedge funds are finally acting like it. From tech to momentum trades, positioning has gone from cautious to euphoric. With gross leverage now at 99th percentile highs, risk appetite is back.
President Trump is consistent that it’s not about the money first. It’s the deaths. Let’s see which of the Euro Alliance continue to push Ukraine continuing war with Russia
Looks like Muskrat’s love for the President ended with no EV freebies for DOGE digging and no appreciation for him chucking his weight around. Operation suck up is over maybe try another DeSantis launch down the road.Times up Elon you’ve crapped in the wrong nest.
Notice how European men cross their legs like women. Guess he doesn’t want anyone to see his panties.

Listened to it all, pres Trump as usual cracks me up he is so funny and Mr Germany managed to get in two lies about Russia, one about them stealing children (all repatriated to their parents), and another that the Ukraines never target civilians.
Patrick Lancaster reports from the Donbas area after they are struck with no Russian troops there, and always asks the people, who bombed you, where did the bombs come from and the citizens say the Ukrainians.
Further, the Ukrainians put their bases in civilian buildings like Hamas, which is a war crime.
They were repairing APCs and tanks in a mall earlier during the conflict, until the Russians took it out.
The Ukrainian army could care less about killing civilians.
Why did President Trump allow this Merz virus to enter the White House?
is BigBeautifulBill conducive to BetterBusinessBuilding
Dissappointed, but understand why President Trump didn’t clap back on Mertz’s (absurd) assertion that Ukraine had fought ‘honorably’ i.e. only military targets, no energy infrastructure, etc.
I understand he chose not to “take the bait” and that
was a cheap shot by Mertz to throw that in at the end.
They skipped the part right at the end where Merz got up out of his seat whilst announcing, “Sir! I have a plan”, before suddenly, and very loudly, exclaiming, “MEIN FUHRER! I CAN VALK!!…”
…- Just prior to that there was a hot-mic moment where he could be heard rambling on about something to do with mineshafts and something else about a “10-to-1 ratio of women to men”…
