You are conflating local, state and federal judges. She is (was) a local County Court Judge under the laws and Constitution of the State of Wisconsin.
Congress has no role or authority in this case regarding the office she held.

Yep. Last I checked, Judge Shelley Joseph is still on the bench in Boston Municipal Court. She and her bailiff let an illegal out the ‘side door’ while an ICE Agent was waiting for him in the hall (the Agent wasn’t allowed in the courtroom – something about making defendants ‘uncomfortable’).
IIRC, her bailiff opted for early retirement while she milked the MA taxpayers for $125k+ in legal fees (prior to her council switching to pro bono representation). Her moonbat supporters said that prosecuting her for letting go an illegal alien would be chilling on the independence of the judiciary. I think the Feds dropped the charges if she would go back to the State for some sort of ethics review. She got all her back pay and benefits and still sits as a Judge.
The illegal alien let go by Joseph had already been deported from the US twice. Also, Joseph told the court reporter to shut off the recording device (illegal for her to do in MA) while she schemed with both the defense and prosecuting attorneys.
I wonder who is helping her pay for a legal team that includes the former US Solicitor General and a former US Attorney?

Several decades ago, I was involved in a custody battle with my recently divorced ex-wife over our 2 daughters (then 8 & 6 years old). In my eyes I pursued litigation to a point because I honestly believed that I would do a better job raising our daughters than my wife.
After going thru the preliminary filings, my attorney advised me that the NJ courts usually sided with the mother & I was advised to cease my pursuit of custody. I agreed.
In time, my wife abandoned our children & I acquired custody. My point: Even at the lowest levels, our judges have this air of infallability about them. They believe that they are God & this belief has only worsened over time.
Today, we see our judges believing that they have the power/authority to shape policy both domestic & international. Indeed, these unelected officials now believe that their power Trumps (pun intended) that of our President!!
I find it absolutely stunning that in light of the NM judge’s arrest following he & his wife’s housing of at least 1 illegal AND LOANING THEM GUNS + this WI judicial lard-ass’ arrest for obstruction, it has been reported that at least 2 other WI judges (both females by the way) have spoken out & asserted their own intent to BREAK THE LAW regarding the illegals.
Think about that for a minute. JUDGES, professionals versed in the law, have gone on record & assert their own intentions to BREAK THE LAWS regarding harboring/hiding illegals from deportation. And when the Feds finally ARREST some of the black-robed bastards, these LAW_BREAKERS are lionized if not cannonized by the Media & the Left as PATRIOTS!!
The judiciary is now rogue & out of control. Arrests must continue to show these bastards exactly who is in charge here.

Judge Hannah Dugan is not in jail (to no one’s surprise); she was released on her own recognizance after her initial court appearance on April 25, 2025, meaning she did not have to post bail but is required to appear at a future hearing scheduled for May 15, 2025.
