I would like to know who is paying for the high-priced attorneys representing her. I doubt her judicial salary is sufficient to hire the two “conservative” attorneys. This is pretty much a slam dunk case as there is no reasonable defense to unilaterally canceling a criminal case without input from the prosecutor and then ushering a defendant and his attorney out the jury exit. I’ll wager that those high-priced attorneys were hired for their contacts within the DOJ and their only purpose is to negotiate a plea down to misdemeanors and no prison time.

Very few Federal cases make it to trial.
It really depends where the trial is held if it comes to that. Milwaukee or Madison she gets off. The rest of the state she gets convicted. Change of venue would have to happen. Still if he hires a smart lawyer they would try to plead it down and save her law license and maybe even her job. Maybe she could become a low paid public defender now?

I doubt it was a romantic fantasy. All of this seems to be a disordered sympathy for the wrong party. Unfortunately, sympathy directed to criminals means a disregard for the victims. Many judges have forgotten that true justice restores the victim to a degree. The victim usually is not fully restored.
I have heard several commentators make the case recently about disordered sympathy for criminals. Hopefully, that will change the narrative around criminals.

While the Wisconsin Supreme Court acted correctly (ostensibly propelled on its own volition ) given its numerical bent as well as the likelihood of Dugan consulting or be ing advised from national sources bent on assembling cohorts to further a plan to take down our President, we’d do well to watch out for a potential “train behind a train” as it were. With willing , eager help from virtually all factions ( besides the lions share of the populace who elected the POTUS) a narrative to usurp the truth of Dugan’s criminal actions with the goal of creating a martyr to rally behind may well be forming here. I think the ripple effect from prosecuting Hannah Dugan will rock the woke boats in every sanctuary city in America harboring illegal aliens. And THAT is likely to make it a lot easier for ICE agents to do their job.
The level of arrogance required for a circuit court judge like Dugan, sitting in the safety of her courtroom, to force ICE agents into a dangerous footrace with a violent illegal alien, (who was facing three counts of battery and domestic abuse in Dugan’s court), is breathtaking!
The felony charge Dugan is facing carries a maximum sentence of 6 years in prison and while I think it unlikely she’ll spend time behind bars the threat of jail time may make other woke judges think twice about giving the middle finger to our immigration laws!

She may get a suspended prison sentence (stayed pending successful completion of parole). I’d also expect the US Attny’s office will demand a felony plea – this is a straight felony (can’t be reduced to a misdemeanor).
She’ll also be removed from the bench. I don’t know how WI’s Supreme Court works, but in Cali, a judge who’s removed from the bench also gets their license to practice law suspended, and typically needs to petition for reinstatement and show they’ve been rehabilitated.
Think about some of the other things this woman did:
1.) Turned her clerk, bailiff and court reporter into witnesses;
2.) Turned the judge assigned to the neighboring courtroom into a witness;
3.) Turned the Presiding Judge (what they’re calling the “Chief Judge”) into a witness;
4.) Engaged in ex parte communications with defense counsel when the DA had a right to be heard – he had a file on that defendant and was a party in the matter, representing the state of WI; yet this judge inserted herself into the DA’s case, interfering in the outcome;
5.) Put in motion circumstances that may have placed the courthouse in danger;
6.) Showed zero awareness for the victims’ rights to be heard.
This woman’s activism completely overcame her duty of impartiality and the oath she swore to uphold.
Hard jail time is a must. These are extreme examples of what most would term intentional, knowing and from a supposed learned law stewart, malicious noncompliance. If all the statements are true, and from what I read I can’t see a defense for this. There should be enhancements for the penalties due to the above.
There is not shortage of judges from the Boasberg school of jurisprudence who think they know better than the Constitution. Federal prosecutions of such people when they step out of line may be the only way to reign them in!

I was glad to hear the State SC suspended her, but then one commentor said they may have done this so her defense can claim her suspension is punishment enough. That would be like if you or I committed a serious felony at our workplace, were fired from our job, and then our defense attorney told the judge ‘look, he’s already been punished enough by losing his job’.
