Last weekend French President Emmanual Macron organized an emergency meeting in Paris with leaders from the European Union to address the unfolding crisis of President Trump organizing a ceasefire and peace in the war between Ukraine and Russia.
The outcome of the meeting was what would be expected. Each member of the EU said they would not put their military forces into a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine if the United States were not leading the effort. Having previously warned the NATO alliance to step-up their military spending, President Trump has no intention of putting U.S. troops into a regional conflict that affects Europe.
Additionally, Macron has domestic political issues he is hopeful to draw attention away from; meanwhile British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is similarly alarmed as the U.K has taken up the prominent position of military support for Ukraine. Together, they are both planning quick trips to the White House for talks with President Trump.
WASHINGTON DC – French President Emmanuel Macron is coming to Washington next week, national security adviser Mike Waltz said on Wednesday.
Macron called for an emergency “informal” meeting with world leaders just days ago in Paris to discuss European security and the challenges posed by President Donald Trump’s administration. Trump and Macron had a “friendly” but brief conversation just prior to the summit, POLITICO reported on Monday.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is also set to visit next week, Waltz said on Fox News. Starmer’s office confirmed the visit earlier this week.
This trip comes on the heels of Trump’s increasing jabs at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for not doing more to end the war in Ukraine earlier. Trump called Zelenskyy a “dictator without elections” on Wednesday, as European leaders are growing fearful that Trump will side with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the interests of longtime European allies.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been traveling throughout Europe and the Mid-East seeking support and comfort as he attempts to retain the status quo. There are multiple billions at stake for Ukraine as U.S. taxpayers have been funding the operations of government, and the retirement accounts of Ukrainian officials.
In April 2022, Ukraine Prime Minister Shmyhal was not the least bit bashful saying cash was important because American taxpayers, the working American people, have a duty to fund the pensions and retirement accounts of the Ukrainian people, including govt politicians.
Germany, France, Great Britain and the larger EU assembly cannot and will not cover the bills for Ukraine themselves. This is a major issue for them and one of the primary reasons they will not put their military forces into the lead position on behalf of Zelenskyy. This is also a big point of contention for President Trump.
Meanwhile, Vice President J.D. Vance on Wednesday warned the Ukrainian president against attacking President Donald Trump, saying that ‘badmouthing’ him in public would only backfire.
Vance spoke to DailyMail.com hours after Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky accused Trump of living in a Russian-made ‘disinformation space.’

Most western media ignored the obvious when JD Vance and Marco Rubio met with the Ukraine delegation on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. It was clear from the body language and visible arrogance from the Ukraine side, this was not a meeting of aligned allies.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy is counting on a pressure campaign from the EU, the global intelligence apparatus, and domestic corporate interests inside the U.S. to keep his position solid against the policies of President Trump and JD Vance. The financial benefits of the conflict have enriched a variety of U.S. politicians who are also helping to create pushback against President Trump.
The one thing all of the aligned interests fear most is a geopolitical agreement, even possibly an alignment, between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, it appears that both leaders well understand the objective and are undeterred in their diplomacy.

People generally have personal attachment through kinship relationships that will eventually be expressed as “culture”. Those relationships will result in conflict.
Fascism was a philosophy that this “culture” could only exist within the context of the nation-state, and thus must be subservient to the state. This had appeal in both Germany and Italy, where various state-lets were gradually consolidated in the late 1800s into nations.
In Ukraine we basically see the historical battle of Russia, Poland-Lithuania, Austria-Hungary, and the Crimean Khanate-Ottoman. The “will of the people” may tend towards one or the other, or via the Bandarites towards an indigenous entity. Of course in the case of Eastern Europe there is also Jewish culture to consider and to some extent Islamic culture.
You seem to be making a leap from the idea that people have shared beliefs to the result that those shared beliefs are perforce externalized to the point that conflict is organically sought with another nation state. I have a far less cynical view of the nature of man – that given a choice between a peaceful provincial life and a conflagration with neighboring countries, most would choose the former. Absent the catalyzing influence of leaders acting in their own self interest, global conflict would be all but eliminated. In extreme cases like Palestine/Israel that catalyst has been metastasized for a generation, but it is top down, not bottom up. Ukraine legacy oligarchs have been purveyors of evil and conflict for 2,000 years. India/Pakistan conflict has been driven by their religious leaders. The story is always the same – divide, distract and conquer internally through the creation of external bogeymen.

Starmer and Macron are the two European leads on sending peacekeeper forces to Ukraine and Starmer has also proposed the insane idea of basing British Typhoon fighter jets in Poland and patrolling the skies over Ukraine.
Russia has repeatedly said European peacekeeping forces from NATO countries will be considered hostile forces and will become military targets and if foreign aircraft fly over Ukraine they will also be considered targets and the bases they operate from likewise, even if they’re in a country like Romania or Poland.
Obviously, both Starmer and Macron want to do something that triggers Article 5 and brings NATO into the fight, and that is what they’ll be putting to Trump. It won’t work of course, Trump won’t fall for it, but that is what they are doing.
Personally, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the two countries in Europe where the Rothschilds have the most political influence are the UK and France, and it’s the Rothschilds who have the most to lose if Project Ukraine fails and the most to gain if Russia loses.
As NATO is a contract, and President Trump is master expert on contracts….should Starmer and Macron try the Article 5 approach, they may well find a President Trump who could very well be willing to declare that the European nations are in breach of contract due to decades of failure to both pay their share of the NATO costs and provide their share of NATO troops/logistics.
Due to this grave and continual breach, President Trump could well say that the US cannot honor the Article 5 clause in good conscience. President Trump could also state that the US will withdraw from NATO, effective immediately, and shutter its forward bases in the UK, France, and Germany (due to the national emergency on the US southern border).
In short – the Article 5 clause is a non-starter.
Instead, we will likely see sob stories about how President Trump has neglected to include (self-)important allies (of long-standing history together) in the negotiations with Russia over Ukraine.
Meetings will be planned and held with sympathetic Senators and media talking heads, to spread the usual poison talk about how President Trump is disgracing himself in the eyes of the world by not including important (impotent) allies to address the “crisis of avoiding WWIII”.
