I’m not feeling any better about it, you guys know EXACTLY WHY. However, it’s good to know that President Trump is at least concerned about the potential runaway process within automated Artificial Intelligence.
During an interesting interview aboard Air-Force-One on the return from Las Vegas, President Trump was asked whether he was concerned about “artificial super intelligence” or fully automated AI. President Trump said it was the first question he asked the AI team (Musk, Sacks, presumably Ellison and Altman). Trump expressing the concern that it could be, “the rabbit that got away.”
The entire interview is loaded with some really interesting topics and insight; however, the AI comments come at 12:42 (prompted):
.
I also want to remind everyone that a DHS memo was issued on August 8th, 2023, discussing using AI as a tool for the domestic surveillance of American Citizens.
DHS’ AI task force is coordinating with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency on how the department can partner with critical infrastructure organizations “on safeguarding their uses of AI and strengthening their cybersecurity practices writ large to defend against evolving threats.”
What are those critical infrastructure organizations? They include voting systems. Who or what are those evolving threats? You!

[SOURCE]
Take out the word “improper” and the admission is, DHS uses AI to profile, target and discriminate. In the second sentence, DHS currently participates in systemic, indiscriminate and/or large-scale monitoring, surveillance, or tracking of individuals. The only thing those sentences in the paragraph say, is that DHS will not allow AI to create improper outcomes within a system they outline that already exists.
Stop and reread that last sentence as much as needed.
Inasmuch as this DHS guidance is telling us the rules for Homeland Security (DHS) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as they use AI, they are also outlining what current processes of surveillance would be enhanced by it.
The surveillance state comes from the creation of the Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) which is an entirely inward-looking agency. Prior to the Patriot Act, the surveillance sweep searching for terror threats focused outward, looking outside the U.S borders. The Patriot Act took the surveillance sweep a full 360 degrees and looked inside the Homeland for terror threats. Hence, DHS was created.
The office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) was also created by the Patriot Act, and was specifically created as the pivot point to combine the surveillance sweeps. The Pentagon and CIA intel agencies sweeping outside the U.S. and the DHS sweeping inside the U.S.
It was the creation of The Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) that destroyed what remained of privacy protections within the constitution (4th amendment). Americans are no longer secure in their ‘papers and effects’, nor protected by the ‘probable cause’ need for warrants. The erosion of the 4th amendment was absolutely connected to the creation of DHS; there is zero doubt about this cause and effect.
With the ODNI and DHS created, the sub-silos of the surveillance state then began. The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) is one agency within the Dept of Homeland Security that was an outcome. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also gained massive tools within this new system.
The key point behind all of this context is what I refer to as the ‘Surveillance State.’ American citizens have lost all privacy protections within this new system of surveillance, that has extended far beyond even what most people fathom.
When you understand the root origin of the Surveillance State, then the discussion turns to what we have accepted within its creation, and what is the current status of American Liberty as an outcome of it.
The fact that this system was weaponized by Barack Obama and Joe Biden to target their political opposition is only one aspect of this dynamic. Yes, it is a big issue, and yes what they did was horrific, corrupt and in my opinion unlawful. However, their ability to weaponize this system only existed because the domestic surveillance state was created and authorized by the legislative branch of government.
Now we are left arguing about who controls a system that should never have been authorized.
All of President Trump’s cabinet and key appointments carry the same outlook toward the surveillance state. They fundamentally believe the system is needed, the DHS system holds national security value, and the capacity within the DHS system is only a problem when corrupt political operatives are in charge of it. If good, virtuous and moral people are in charge, the DHS surveillance system is okay.
To be clear and fair to readers, I disagree with the Trump administrations’ foundational perspective of the Surveillance State. I do not believe the system holds greater benefit than it does cost. However, that is not the primary reasoning for my opposing viewpoints.
There are two larger issues within this surveillance state. The first, is the potential weaponization of it; this is a simple matter of accepting the historic reality of it. The second issue is an issue that will surface quickly in the next few years, just as rapidly as the advances in technology that support it.
There are going to be tiers of people who are not subjected to the rules of the Surveillance State. There are going to be tiers of people, powerful, influential, some intensely rich people, to whom the application of the surveillance does not exist.
Inside the surveillance system, supported by the policy team behind President Trump, there will be classes of people. Just as we defined “essential workers” within the COVID-19 pandemic. This essential group will be classed based on their administrative value to the government operators who control the mechanics of outcomes; perhaps “essential administrators.” This is a natural outcome of the mindset behind “continuity of government,” the baseline for the Patriot Act creation.
The tools created by Palantir et al, are multifunctional. They can be used by the Pentagon and CIA for military application, and they can be used by DNI, DHS, FBI and TSA for domestic application. Just as the Patriot Act redefined “terror threats” to begin sweeping 360 degrees, so too are the tools of the surveillance state designed for both foreign and domestic application.
There is no way to avoid being the target of a weapon once that weapon is created. However, unlike the mutually assured destruction within the nuclear analogy, there will be no threat of mutual application within the surveillance bomb.
I am optimistic President Trump will eventually support our liberty position; in fact, I do not question that at all. However, we must accept the consequence of that moment happening, and the non-alignment in principle being quite likely going to make the technocratic MAGA billionaires shift from allies to adversaries.
Peaceniks don’t build bombs; and those who genuinely believe in liberty [looking at you Thiel] do not build or support domestic surveillance networks that can be weaponized depending on who is in power.

There are always a lot of Biblical references in the comments here. Ever wonder about the writings of Biblical floods, disasters, etc.? Ever wonder about ‘high tech’ structures found, and then civilization appears to end and start again?? Take a look at the Carrington Event, that happened in 1859, where a coronal mass ejection from the sun destroyed the ‘grid’ as was known then. Currently, Earth’s magnetic field is weakening, with the migration of the poles. There are changes happening throughout our solar system. The sun is slated to have another explosive ‘surprise’ for us, sometime this century. Perhaps it is the hand of God, forcing us to start over again, as the powers that govern us have lost their way. Perhaps it is just the sun. Whatever it is, there is a reason why the ultra wealthy have been building bunkers. They may survive what is to come, but electricity will not. That is the ‘light’ at the end of this dark tunnel.
It is my understanding that the USA gave in to CHINA on drone development and see where that got us???
Drones flying overhead and dropping whatever into several states for several weeks. China is monitoring us through any means they can.
It is important that we get a handle on AI. Again, it’s hard to understand all that AI brings to our world and it is time to find out how vulnerable we are.
Now, when the dust settles in D.C. it is time to do a deep dive into EDUCATION in America. Talk about a problem that has tenacles like an octopus and there are many levels.
My understanding from years of experience is that many people are involved in the mess and it will take a long time to sort out the problems. We have had many school shooting but very little information about the security plan that didn’t work in those schools. We have little information on exactly why we are #15 in education in the world. Why? Incompetence comes to my mind as the first reason.
Trump needs to stop naming or appointing a well suited up woman to the job and get serious about education.
To late, Don, the rabbit is gone.
OK Since people are still posting on this topic I would like to share a recent experience with AI on my phone.
My husband is in hospice at home and he suffers a treatable condition that left unchecked could be deadly. Nurse number 1 suggested using medication A in the morning and medication B in the evening. It seemed to work most of the time. Then he got a bout of it that wasn’t being helped by the medication and wasn’t going away. Nurse number 2 comes along and says medication B is totally wrong and we should stop it. We did. After 5 days the condition hadn’t improved at all so husband and I discussed reincorporating medication B as perhaps nurse 2 was incorrect. I checked on my phone about medication B and the AI verified that the function of the medicine is as nurse 1 described. Keep in mind that our devices listen to us. We reinstated medication B and experienced zero improvement for 3 days. Nurse 2 comes to visit and we are ragged exhausted. Nurse 2 reiterates that medication B will only exacerbate the situation. She suggests that we both check our phones to validate her recommendation. My phone’s AI invalidated nurse 1’s advice and now recommends nurse 2’s advice. SCARY!
My conclusion is that the AI is trying to determine the hierarchy present and support that individual’s position? Regarding medication I need the truth not a situational result. This has always been my problem with humans! If AI is going to do the same thing in cases like ours the results could be life threatening.
Trying to research both sides of a situation and arrive at a balanced answer could become close to impossible if not outright impossible which means everyone will stay in their silos and humans will be conquered?
P. S. We’ve got nighttime drones here in Maricopa County. The news recently had an article stating that most likely people heard about the drones back east and went out and looked at the night sky for the first time ever and are mistaking planes for drones. No I am outside alot at night and I know the standard flight paths for various types of aircraft and these are DRONES – big loud ones. Are these run by AI? Why can’t anyone just tell us the truth on this?
We had a drone a mile from me in the country in Indiana. Not a toy drone either
Sounds like having AI in charge of medical decisions would essentially be basing medical decisions on the opinion of the most popular girl in the relevant clique.
AI is stupid without mankind. It simply vomits back what it hears or what is programmed into it. It is the intelligence of all men and women combined and fed into this pile of iron, circuits, and wires. It is nothing new and will never come up with an idea of it’s own. Remember always what the A stands for in AI…. artificial.
By the way Kookooracharabioso, does your precious husband happen to have Myesthenia Gravis per chance? I lost my husband to cancer nearly five years ago, but he suffered with MG as well and the docs don’t help you with the medication because it varies so much person to person.
I’ve watched AI on my phone use it’s “logic” to create a plausible answer vs. knowing enough history to access the true answer and my knowledge of history is very spotty compared to most here. I posted that I fear true history will be lost.
No my husband doesn’t have MG – it’s a much more mundane problem but impolite to mention especially if you’re eating while reading as I usually do. I like to read some of the humor here to him and the photos like the tiger on the Columbia comment section. He’s partially blind but he could see that. I’m learning about our healthcare system daily. I have a condition that I was warned about for years but now that it’s obvious that I have it and I am on Medicare the doctors refuse to diagnose it. I researched it a bit further and saw that attempts to treat this condition usually end in death so now I understand why they don’t want to interfere. Also apparently doctors who treat Medicare patients can’t have too many bad outcomes or they are no longer allowed to work with Medicare patients so they all have another good reason to refuse diagnosis. Unfortunately it makes me often not well enough to care for husband as well as we would both like and at one point my insurance wanted me in the hospital but the hospice had no respite place for husband so I couldn’t go. We both lived through that one but there’s alot of holes in our senior care system. Not complaining – it could be much worse but we do get angry when the hospice feels pressured by Medicare to get the patient into a facility via poisoning with Rx. We’re on our 3rd hospice due to fleeing that but our newest hospice tried the same tactic but in reverse – by denying Rx that he needs. Our goal is simply for him to die relatively cognizant at home and he did see an angel recently so IDK how close he is but the angel’s appearance was so encouraging to both of us. That was another reason we switched hospice because we feared that they consider it a delusion or hallucination and want to give him drugs for that problem and we don’t view it that way. It happened in front of the hospice nurse and she freaked – she got away from him and started pacing back and forth in another part of the house in shock talking to herself and saying she had heard of it but never seen it – yet we were so natural and totally comfortable and even encouraged. I guess you could say that was when we realized we and the hospice weren’t equally yoked?
Anyway people in the business well know these things but maybe there’s some improvement that can be made by me writing this here. Just to allow us our spiritual truth without calling it a disease for starters. Because I believe that people who die more naturally and still cogent ascend easier than people who have been drugged up in bed for years and that’s only from my limited experience because it’s not something people usually talk about.
But we have in our memories ancestors who seemed absolutely fine but one day realized it was their day to die – took a bath – put their best clothes on – put themselves to bed and died within hours.
Thank you for reading and caring.
OK I know this is off topic but I feel compelled to mention that hospices actually have patients that are homeless. How can this type of knowledge not make people realize something is really wrong in this country? Do our top legislators know things like this? Especially the open borders crowd?
I am not going to start worrying about AI until YouTube can get their subtitles right.
How about when voice recognition becomes accurate! 🙄
I share Sundance’s concern about the surveillance state and the tech CEOs who are involved in creating it.
Already the USG has WAY TOO MUCH POWER. It has WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION. This is not acceptable in a Constitutional Republic with a Bill of Rights.
We must figure out how to get back our Constitutional protections and repair the harm done to many Americans, Trump included!
I am not sure how we go about it but we will all know more as time goes by and we see the changes Trump makes in the deep state.
Donnie J spoke to the wef and said AI data centers will require their own power plants, that he will streamline the permit approval for these projects and what wasnt said is all these companies you’re already reporting suspiciously about are all involved. These power plants need something to run on…is that what the drill baby drill is really about? He says it himself we need double the power we already have. All these great things happening are imo just distractions while they put all the control systems in place. I feel worse about our future today, not better. I wish it werent so
I wonder how much power will be freed up by deportations?
I also read that pilantir and others are in fact already partnered with dhs and ice and cpb so imo likely no, the deportation operation will probably require more power as time passes
