I’m not feeling any better about it, you guys know EXACTLY WHY. However, it’s good to know that President Trump is at least concerned about the potential runaway process within automated Artificial Intelligence.
During an interesting interview aboard Air-Force-One on the return from Las Vegas, President Trump was asked whether he was concerned about “artificial super intelligence” or fully automated AI. President Trump said it was the first question he asked the AI team (Musk, Sacks, presumably Ellison and Altman). Trump expressing the concern that it could be, “the rabbit that got away.”
The entire interview is loaded with some really interesting topics and insight; however, the AI comments come at 12:42 (prompted):
.
I also want to remind everyone that a DHS memo was issued on August 8th, 2023, discussing using AI as a tool for the domestic surveillance of American Citizens.
DHS’ AI task force is coordinating with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency on how the department can partner with critical infrastructure organizations “on safeguarding their uses of AI and strengthening their cybersecurity practices writ large to defend against evolving threats.”
What are those critical infrastructure organizations? They include voting systems. Who or what are those evolving threats? You!

[SOURCE]
Take out the word “improper” and the admission is, DHS uses AI to profile, target and discriminate. In the second sentence, DHS currently participates in systemic, indiscriminate and/or large-scale monitoring, surveillance, or tracking of individuals. The only thing those sentences in the paragraph say, is that DHS will not allow AI to create improper outcomes within a system they outline that already exists.
Stop and reread that last sentence as much as needed.
Inasmuch as this DHS guidance is telling us the rules for Homeland Security (DHS) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as they use AI, they are also outlining what current processes of surveillance would be enhanced by it.
The surveillance state comes from the creation of the Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) which is an entirely inward-looking agency. Prior to the Patriot Act, the surveillance sweep searching for terror threats focused outward, looking outside the U.S borders. The Patriot Act took the surveillance sweep a full 360 degrees and looked inside the Homeland for terror threats. Hence, DHS was created.
The office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) was also created by the Patriot Act, and was specifically created as the pivot point to combine the surveillance sweeps. The Pentagon and CIA intel agencies sweeping outside the U.S. and the DHS sweeping inside the U.S.
It was the creation of The Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) that destroyed what remained of privacy protections within the constitution (4th amendment). Americans are no longer secure in their ‘papers and effects’, nor protected by the ‘probable cause’ need for warrants. The erosion of the 4th amendment was absolutely connected to the creation of DHS; there is zero doubt about this cause and effect.
With the ODNI and DHS created, the sub-silos of the surveillance state then began. The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) is one agency within the Dept of Homeland Security that was an outcome. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also gained massive tools within this new system.
The key point behind all of this context is what I refer to as the ‘Surveillance State.’ American citizens have lost all privacy protections within this new system of surveillance, that has extended far beyond even what most people fathom.
When you understand the root origin of the Surveillance State, then the discussion turns to what we have accepted within its creation, and what is the current status of American Liberty as an outcome of it.
The fact that this system was weaponized by Barack Obama and Joe Biden to target their political opposition is only one aspect of this dynamic. Yes, it is a big issue, and yes what they did was horrific, corrupt and in my opinion unlawful. However, their ability to weaponize this system only existed because the domestic surveillance state was created and authorized by the legislative branch of government.
Now we are left arguing about who controls a system that should never have been authorized.
All of President Trump’s cabinet and key appointments carry the same outlook toward the surveillance state. They fundamentally believe the system is needed, the DHS system holds national security value, and the capacity within the DHS system is only a problem when corrupt political operatives are in charge of it. If good, virtuous and moral people are in charge, the DHS surveillance system is okay.
To be clear and fair to readers, I disagree with the Trump administrations’ foundational perspective of the Surveillance State. I do not believe the system holds greater benefit than it does cost. However, that is not the primary reasoning for my opposing viewpoints.
There are two larger issues within this surveillance state. The first, is the potential weaponization of it; this is a simple matter of accepting the historic reality of it. The second issue is an issue that will surface quickly in the next few years, just as rapidly as the advances in technology that support it.
There are going to be tiers of people who are not subjected to the rules of the Surveillance State. There are going to be tiers of people, powerful, influential, some intensely rich people, to whom the application of the surveillance does not exist.
Inside the surveillance system, supported by the policy team behind President Trump, there will be classes of people. Just as we defined “essential workers” within the COVID-19 pandemic. This essential group will be classed based on their administrative value to the government operators who control the mechanics of outcomes; perhaps “essential administrators.” This is a natural outcome of the mindset behind “continuity of government,” the baseline for the Patriot Act creation.
The tools created by Palantir et al, are multifunctional. They can be used by the Pentagon and CIA for military application, and they can be used by DNI, DHS, FBI and TSA for domestic application. Just as the Patriot Act redefined “terror threats” to begin sweeping 360 degrees, so too are the tools of the surveillance state designed for both foreign and domestic application.
There is no way to avoid being the target of a weapon once that weapon is created. However, unlike the mutually assured destruction within the nuclear analogy, there will be no threat of mutual application within the surveillance bomb.
I am optimistic President Trump will eventually support our liberty position; in fact, I do not question that at all. However, we must accept the consequence of that moment happening, and the non-alignment in principle being quite likely going to make the technocratic MAGA billionaires shift from allies to adversaries.
Peaceniks don’t build bombs; and those who genuinely believe in liberty [looking at you Thiel] do not build or support domestic surveillance networks that can be weaponized depending on who is in power.

Hell and damnation. Sundance is the most brilliant observer of the way the world wags, ever.
“However, it’s good to know that President Trump is at least concerned about the potential runaway process within automated Artificial Intelligence.”
-Sundance
.
What’s good to know is POTUS is getting CTH briefs on these topics (see the “Sundance EO” re: dealing with the IC silos) and so PDJT is actually HEARING what truly legitimate concerns there are with the AI buildout.
.
Another thing we can do is to enact an explicit privacy provision into federal law. (Don’t fret over the Roe “penumbra” thing, because some states, e.g. Florida, already have constitutional privacy and it’s worked well, so there’s a template.)
Basically, it could be directed at surveillance mechanisms and provide for criminal and civil sanctions, including against government officials/individuals, for the deliberate violations of privacy via the misuse of surveillance systems. While there is no “privacy” when someone places himself into public, anything that circumvents or supersedes “what could be seen with the naked eye” could be targeted as unwarranted.
.
.
Read this account written by a J6 political prisoner, then tell me why I should trust ANY government agency with AI-enhanced surveillance tools: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1883228690571575373.html
.
A nightmare. Agreed. All done WITHOUT AI.
Now where did I say that you should trust a government agency with AI-enhanced surveillance tools. I didn’t. But unfortunately that ship has sailed.
.
“There are going to be tiers of people who are not subjected to the rules of the Surveillance State. There are going to be tiers of people, powerful, influential, some intensely rich people, to whom the application of the surveillance does not exist.”
I worked for years in the IT/IS field, both in and out of the Federal Government.
The one really big question I constantly asked anyone who had some type of authority was, ‘Do you realize how much power lowly IT people have?’
I always included the “lowly IT” part, since I wanted my question to make an impact on the hearer of what no one seemed to pay attention to or care about.
Although my job title was always Systems Administrator — sometimes with Security Officer or Liaison thrown in — in the big scheme of things I considered myself a lowly IT/IS person because of the things I could see in the everyday workings of my job.
In the background I could see everyone’s salary; my boss, my bosses’ boss, etc. In the background I could see office affairs taking place. In the background I could see who was totally wasting their days at work doing stuff online they were not supposed to (one person lost their job due to watching porn online at work. . .stupid runs deep).
I could see all kinds of personal information about almost everyone I worked with, and yet, never once — never ever once — was I asked to sign any kind of confidentiality form concerning what I saw. My employers all assumed that people working in the IT/IS world knew the drill — which we did, but for whatever reason they never asked us/me/people who would have control of all of their data, to sign any kind of non-disclosure agreement.
So those “tiers of people who are not subjected to the rules of the Surveillance State” don’t just include the “powerful, influential, [and] intensely rich people,” they also include lowly IT people who can be easily bought off if they have no moral standing.

Fear not.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Our Founding Fathers were most definitely led by God, and our Constitution was made ONLY for a moral and religious people.
Which makes me know that far above fighting for our country, men and women of the cross must proclaim Christ and Him crucified if our nation is to survive.
Exactly, Raven.
Several things I see that are encouraging.
PDJT’s army of warriors do not shy away from talking about their faith, you hear it from every one of them.
Archbishop Vigano is “upping his game” in his missives, attacking WEF, and the not-Pope.
And, I am hearing from red-pilled former Dems a clear recognition that this battle is ultimately spiritual good vs bad, Gid vs Devil in nature.
Onward Christian Soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of JESUS, going on before!
Amen.
I have faith in some politicians, including Trump…
However, it is the Lord who is in control and with Whom I have TOTAL faith.
Yes, like many others there are things of this world that scare me. However ultimately I have to remember GOD IS IN CONTROL.
There is no way to avoid being the target of a weapon once that weapon is created. However, unlike the mutually assured destruction within the nuclear analogy, there will be no threat of mutual application within the surveillance bomb.
I wish I could find the Bible text that states that the mutually assured destruction application is not needed here because here is where God steps in to protect His own. Somebody please help the Intense cat get where he’s going here.
You may be thinking of Revelation 7:1-8, which deals with the 144,000 who are sealed, or Revelation 12:13-17 which includes this – “…the woman was given two wings…that she might fly into the wilderness…the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and walled up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.”
There are many, and more general, references both in New and Old testaments that illustrate both the protections/deliverances extended by God to believers and the suffering and death of believers who were not delivered. Hebrews 11 provides a partial list.
Many Christians will reference the Rapture in response to your question (I Thessalonians 5 and II Thessalonians 2), which they believe to be the provision that protects God’s people from extended suffering.
I have no particular quarrel with the teaching of the Rapture (it’s not a hill worth fighting over or dying on), but when I hear believers setting it forth as the grounds of their expectation that they will never suffer from this or that specific mess, I seldom hear any acknowledgement of the sufferings and deaths of millions of Christian martyrs over the past 100 years.
Well, said Sharon!
(it’s not a hill worth fighting over or dying on)
Totally agree. The only hill worth dying on is the one Jesus chose: the one that helps your fellow man; give him a helping hand.
Or the “hill” (Golgatha) Jesus chose rather, was to allow Himself to be subjected to suffering, humiliation, and death to become The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21
Also, “Greater love hath no man than this, to lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.” ~Jesus Christ (John 15:13-14
And our American soldiers shed their blood to make America Great and safe.
There are several views on the Rapture…For me I feel that I will find the truth when the Lord calls me home.
There are things that only the Lord knows, but do believe in Jeremiah 29:11 NIV For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future
Considering all the views on the Rapture and related things, there is no reason to think that the Lord is waiting for us to come to consensus before He can proceed, and knowing that keeps me pretty flexible on eschatological things! There are things I will not flex over..but the Rapture ain’t one of them.
Jeremiah 29:11 – yes. That verse is often quoted as a stand-alone. It’s from a very long letter from Jeremiah, written to the elders who were carried away captive, as given by the Spirit to Jeremiah, intended to encourage them in their captivity.
Agree. Jer 29:11 has specific context.
Yes it was written many centuries ago for the others, but like many of the verse in the Old and New Testament the do have meaning throughout the ages.
No scripture even hints at Christian believers being immune to suffering or prevented from harm before the Rapture. The Rapture only occurs just an unpredictable moment prior to Christ makings His return to Earth, i.e., the Second Advent. That is at a time of His choosing (God’s Will and Plan) and we get no prior notice. If you hear Christians proclaiming they are protected from suffering or horrendous deaths because of the future “rapture”, they are in serious need of accurate Bible teaching.
“If you hear Christians proclaiming they are protected from suffering or horrendous deaths because of the future ‘rapture’, they are in serious need of accurate Bible teaching.”
I agree. Applied/practical hermaneutics isn’t a priority.
The Rapture happens then the antichrist comes on the scene.
Over 2000 years and counting Sharon. May God bless you and yours.
Well at least Charles Manson saw it this way with his following. They would emerge with the 144,000 and lead after the black/white race war he tried to institute.
I know, some sarcasm here, but it is viewed by many different ways.
Does this help? Psalm 9:6. O enemies of mine, you are doomed forever. The Lord will destroy your cities; even the memory of them will disappear.
I’m lovin’ it!
Psalm 109 is fairly profound.

Earthquake and landslide?
The Lost City of Atlantis?
Could this be Scripture you are looking for?
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
There is nothing to make you feel better about the AI-surveillance system being magically made to do no harm. . It will destroy us and enslave us.
.
AI of course is a big concern…. It what Science Fictions movies are made from….This has been a discussion since NIVIDA was created. We have to be involved.
In HG Wells’ War of the Worlds the alien invaders were ‘ai’ dependent cyborgs, reliant on sophisticated machine technology for what was left of their physical bodies—no limbs, no digestive or reproductive systems, no diseases (they were mostly brain). Over evolved and over-tech-ed, they were utterly dependent on AI machines to do their work. AI must have a fail safe that will allow humans to override it before it harms humanity.
Yet at the end if the movie it was bacteria that they were not immune to that killed them.
I watched again the first 2 Terminator movies over the weekend.
I am convinced that AI will get the world in trouble. Even if it’s totally banned in the US, China will continue with AI development. At one point, they will lose control or unleash it on purpose. It will be game over for all of us.
In the Revelation it says, “And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth amd those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed (See Rev 13:3). He he performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven to the earth in the presence of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth…And there was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast , that he image of the beast might speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free man and the slaves, to be given mark on their right hand, or on their forehead, and he provides that no one should be able to buy or sell, except one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or number of his name.” Revelation 13:11-17. I am trusting in the rapture (Lat)/harpazo (Gr)/rescue, or resurrection (See also in addition to above vv menatiined: 1 Thess 4:14-17; 1 Corinthians 15:50-57. Trusting in Jesus sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin is the only way I see out of all this. That is why He died for us. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” ~John 15:6
Good post.
The powerful and the rich always want to control the rest of us.
This isn’t true just for our time.
This has been true throughout history right up until the present, in every form of human government
America’s founding generation did a better than a damned good job of creating a different kind of system that included various checks and balances to keep our leaders accountable and give collective power to ordinary citizens.
It’s worked well, but slowly those in power found ways around the checks and balances. The erosion is increasing, slowly but it has accelerated.
It’s possible that the erosion can be slowed, maybe even stopped for a bit, but America will eventually become as corrupt as Rome.
AI may well be the tool that accelerates the corruption. Time will tell.
Meanwhile, we have a bit of a reprieve with Donald Trump at the helm…thankfully.
Human nature being what it is, America will eventually fade into the dustbin of history just like all other world powers (small, medium, and large scale).
Humans do not play well with each other. Someone, some group, some nation, some empire always wants to tell everyone else what to do.
Found in the bin… 🙁
Um, govt. has been spying on the public since the 60’s, probably before, and now they do it with computers.
A Terminator Skynet is the only logical conclusion to this course of pursuit. I can’t believe I’m saying this.
100%.
Asking that group of people I wonder how many pushed back against AI.
Everything created always is said it’s for the betterment of humanity and it always is the opposite.
All these AI tools we see now are so biased because of the programmers H1-B and brain damaged individuals.
All these tech bros have become mad scientists developing 💉 to reduce the population and we know Larry wants us all to be good citizens.
All of AI should be banned because the guardrails and back stops are controlled by governments and globalists and nothing good for humanity will come from it.
I agree. We don’t need no stinkin AI. As the old song says “Got along without you before I met you, gonna get along without you now.” Things were so much better in the “olden days” – before smart phones.
We can’t go backwards or rewind time. That train has long left the station. We can only steel our own resolve to face whatever the future holds for humanity. The Bible explains exactly what that will be.
Lord Acton’s, “Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely” comes to mind. Do we have a say? Have we voted for this? Are we to have a government of the ambitions of rich men or the common good of the common people? I think Gates and his vaccine madness is a good example here.
AI. ‘The cause of all human problems are humans; for that reason, all humans should….’ 🤔
In “Some Future Day” by Marc Beckman, AI is seen as the positive assistant to mankind. He makes a very good case for the great benefit AI will bring to humanity. But how do we avoid AI falling into the hands of nefarious actors who intend to control us?
Let’s not forget that AI systems are fundamentally based on algorithms. Here, in the first quarter of the 21st century, hidden algorithms have been discovered on many State voter rolls. There is strong evidence they are fraudulently directing the outcome of our elections. What else will they control by doing so? Our life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is at stake.

“The complexity of explaining the New York algorithms – which took me three years to distill – illustrates the problem: electronic systems are ideal for covert manipulation precisely because their intricacies discourage scrutiny and make findings difficult to communicate.”

The tiers of the feudal caste system will set apart the extremely wealthy and the politically powerful to rule over the ordinary people with the Surveillance State of the SS.
Evidently the ordinary people must diligently ‘be on their best behavior’ and believe what they are told by the ruling class?
Evidently the ordinary people should pretend to be glad and applaud at having the opportunity to build their SS prison?
Congress repealing the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act it would be a small helpful step in restoring faith in government.
Now if you don’t expect government to be turned against the people, you’re not paying attention.
No.
If you expect government to be turned against The People {again}…
Then it is you who are not paying attention.
Trust God.
Fear not.
I never realized I was such a threat to the government. I’m feeling pretty important now!
Seriously, they should chop up that AI jazz and toss it in the trash before something bad happens.
AI is today’s nuclear proliferation and we all know how well that went.
“AI is today’s nuclear proliferation”
Truest description I have read yet!
The same justification for Nuclear weopons (we have to get it before the Nazis do, or its game over!) is the justification for developing bioweopons (our enemies are developing them, so WE must as well, SO THAT we can develop vaccines as countermeasure!) and is now being used to justify AI.
The irony is, Hitler had barely got to the point of the first steps in building a bomb, and that was never actually a danger we faced ….but WE didn’t know that!
“Good and virtuous people” in these positions come and go. Mainly go. They either become corrupted by those around them or they quit or get fired because they get worn down and are unable to do the job that’s needed. And then replaced by those that will go along to get along. I am hopeful Tulsi can keep her footing and keep after it. Like Sundance says, the temptation is going to be too great to not use these AI tools to “keep America safe”, and to dump the 4th.
Domestic surveillance is inevitable. It’s already here. Most of us log into our iPhones, bank accounts, etc., etc., with facial recognition. https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/ip3/immigrationforum.org.ico

Well at least voters could quickly and efficiently be screened at their local polling location, to insure they were legal to vote,…I suppose.
So, what was the big tech response when he said it could be the rabbit that runs away…
I found the clip really hard to understand due to all the noise…
Rabbits that get away run away. IA that gets away has potential to kill us all.
Some of us have been passing around a ridiculous AI answer that says “Water will not freeze at 27° F because its freezing point is 32° F; therefore the water at 27° would need to reach 32° to begin freezing.”
Perfectly logical, ain’t it!?!
Makes me want to ask AI why water is wet.
Yes indeedy!
According to a concensus, and as can be confirmed by the internet, scientists agree anthropomorphic climate change, if unchecked, threatens to destroy humanity.
And, this same concensus says carbon is the culprit, specifically carbon dioxide put into the aptnosphere, which causes global warming.
All attempts to regulate human behavior, to limit carbon emmissions, have proved futile.
Therefore the only LOGICAL thing to do, is to radically and suddenly reduce the earths population, because its LOGICAL.
AI does not have a critical thinking algorythm, and without that its useless.
It keeps your 12 fingers from getting frostbite.
Sounds like a democrat
Two points on AI and Govt.
Firstly,”Promises Made, Promises Kept” PDJT has promised us an “Iron Dome” air defence system, capable of protecting the United States.
Putin just recently demonstrated Russias MIRV (Multiple Independantly-targeted Reentry Vehicle) Hypersonic missiles, and by issueing a challenge, demonstrated WE have no air defence against it.
In addition, in attacks on Israel, on the shipping in the red sea, and in Ukraine we are seeing drone swarm attacks, overwhelming air defence systems.
Ergo, any Iron Dome to protect the U.S. airspace, will HAVE to be operated by AI.
Secondly, while many here believe the lone shooter attacks are mk-ultra, suppose you don’t?
You see all of these nutjobs, who after the fact have left clear statements of their intent, on the internet, and yet the gummint has not been able to stop ONE of them.
Because its not possible for HUMANS to monitor the internet, so as to recognise one of these nutjobs, before they go off.
AI,…COULD.
No responces? Interesting….
That would certainly explain PDT’s interest, aside from the business.
Probably not relevant, but I recently had to have telephone assistance from a lady in NY getting my new router connected to the rest of my equipment.
When I plugged in the cable which goes from the rrouter to the TV she could see it, instantly.
When I plugged in the cable which goes from the router to another computer in another office she could see it, instantly, and tell me what just got hooked up each time.
It was very helpful. And creepy.
Warning:
I use AI for professional programming and IT troubleshooting. AI gives the wrong answer between 50% and 90% of the time for SIMPLE tasks.
Everyone knows AI hallucinates and makes things up. Everyone knows AI has a political and cultural bias. Facial recognition doesn’t work on some races.
What recourse will we have for wrong answers in the surveillance network? None, you will sit there and shut up.
Attempted Intelligence hallucinates, lies and get almost everything wrong..Sounds exactly like it’s Leftpuke creators!
LOL and AI says:
DDG’s AI Assist: Yes, artificial intelligence can be potentially dangerous due to risks such as biased algorithms, privacy violations, and the possibility of misuse in areas like autonomous weapons and cyberattacks. Experts warn that without proper regulations and ethical guidelines, AI could lead to significant societal issues…and don’t ask me that again or else.
That last part was mine.
As far as I, Luddite, am concerned, that rabbit has already skittered into the bushes. While our first question should be what would the benefits be versus the potential for harm, a more immediate concern is what this does to the price of energy and its availability for prosaic uses like heating our homes.
Here is a lefty site talking about AI’s need for energy. We will inevitably be in competition for all the new green uses of the available energy. Trump has talked about needing 2 1/2 to 3 times our current supply.
The Stargate Project says it will use “clean” energy but the Green Slushfund and Inflation Enhancement Project can’t meet its needs. It will need small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs). Whether or not this new nuclear technology can meet its hyped promise, its adoption should not be an appended after thought to another project.
Yet all the “clean” energies will not be able to provide for the massive databases needed to feed Attempted Intelligence. It will also need your natural gas (which was once touted as clean(er) energy, but now will require another Gates favorite: carbon capture to offset AI’s burning of the gas you’re not supposed to use..
https://apcoworldwide.com/blog/the-stargate-initiative-a-catalyst-for-the-next-energy-revolution/
This is from an interview with Victor David Hansen on Trump and the Tech Titans
” For instance, Hanson recognized critical historical context in Trump’s cozying up to the Tech Titans, and it should greatly reassure you. Consider this:
In theory, the Tech Lords are contradictory to the MAGA people, except he’s not really getting Jamie Diamond and the bankers and the financiers up to Mar-a-Lago. He’s getting people who make Rockets, who make Tesla, who opened up X, who have social media, who —Bezos— have newspapers, they have Rockets, they’ve revolutionized the way we buy things —Amazon. And so, what that appeal is to the MAGA people is that these are can-do people, and they can lend their expertise to make the country rich rather than just themselves.
These Tech Lords are not really so much political as they only have one overriding political interest. They don’t really care about high taxes taxes on the middle, because they can pay anything, and they have lawyers. So the higher the taxes the more they evade it or the more money they make. They don’t care about censorship, unless it intrudes into their own business.
But one thing they cannot tolerate is regulation.
And when they saw what Biden was doing, forcing them to do certain things, to enter the political realm, or telling them that these new technologies of biotechnology and space and AI and cybersecurity and cryptocurrency were all going to be controlled, they thought ‘I don’t mind anything else but I want to be able to make money and to do stuff unregulated.’
And that’s good for the country. And it’s good for the Tech Lords, and so that’s why they turned on Biden. The argument they made to Trump was, ‘you don’t like me, we don’t like you, but you believe in entrepreneurism, and you’re going to free us, and if you do that the United States will be preeminent in oil production, in space, and AI and biogenetics, you name it. We will do that for you.’
And so with Trump, it is very similar to FDR when the war started.
Hanson then compared Trump’s tech initiative to America’s entrepreneurial explosion after the Great Depression. I promise, especially if you feel anxious about Trump and the Tech Titans, you’ll want to hear this.
Watch or listen to the whole thing.
Trump is so far beyond what anybody has yet recognized (except maybe VDH). Nobody gets it yet. Nobody can get it, since nothing like this has ever happened before. It’s the shock and awe of a confident leader
Ace of Spades HQ How the Democrat Party Pushed Silicon Valley Into Trump’s Arms:
“…Andreessen: Of course. So I had this moment with a senior executive, who I won’t name, but he said to me with a sense of dawning horror, “I think some of these kids are joining the company not with the intent of doing things for us but destroying us.”
They’re professional activists in their own minds, first and foremost. And it just turns out the way to exercise professional activism right now, most effectively, is to go and destroy a company from the inside. All-hands meetings started to get very contentious. Where you’d get berated at an all-hands meeting as a C.E.O., where you’d have these extremely angry employees show up and they were just completely furious about how there’s way too many white men on the management team. “Why are we a for-profit corporation? Don’t you know all the downstream horrible effects that this technology is having? We need to spend unlimited money in order to make sure that we’re not emitting any carbon.”
So you just take the laundry list of fashionable kind of radical left-wing positions of that time, and they’re spending a huge amount of time at the company, basically organizing around that. And I will say, in fairness, I think in most of these companies this kind of person never got to be anywhere close to 100 percent of the work force.
But what happened is they became, like, 20 percent, maybe 30 percent. And then there’s this big middle of “go along, get along” people who generally also consider themselves Democrats. And they’re just trying to follow along with the trends.
So you take this activist core of 20 percent, you add 60 percent of “go along, get along” people, and all of a sudden the C.E.O. experiences, “Oh, my God, 80 percent of my employees have radicalized into a political agenda.” What people say from the outside is, “Well, you should just fire those people.”
But as a C.E.O., you can’t fire 80 percent of my team. And by the way, I have to go hire people to replace them. And the other people at the other companies are behaving the same way. And I can’t go hire kids out of college, because I’m just going to get more activists. And so that’s how these companies became captured. …
Andreessen: So things got much worse after 2020. So the part I would agree with is that things got much worse for tech, after they took formal control of the White House. For sure, that’s right.
…
And then of course, Covid hits, which was a giant radicalizing moment. And at that point, we had lived through eight years of what was increasingly clearly a social revolution. Very clearly, companies are basically being hijacked to engines of social change, social revolution. The employee base is going feral. There were cases in the Trump era where multiple companies I know felt like they were hours away from full-blown violent riots on their own campuses by their own employees.
Things got really aggressive during that period. And so I go from watching Brian Williams every night and just being lied to 500 nights in a row to, basically, reading the Mueller report, reading the Horowitz I.G. report and being like, “Oh, my God, none of this is true.”
And then you try to explain to people, “This isn’t true.” And then they get really mad at you because how can you possibly have any sympathy for a fascist?
Douthat: So you are radicalizing in the late Trump years.
Andreessen: Yes, for sure. There were quite a few people like me. Now, none of us were sticking our heads up at that point because, to be clear, it was way too dangerous.
None of us were particularly moral heroes at that point. But there were lots and lots of underground peer-to-peer discussions from 2018 through to 2021 saying, “OK, things are off the rails.” And my point is, we were softened up for the Biden radicalization. Then when the Biden administration turned out to be far more radical than even we thought that they were going to be then that’s what generated the response that ultimately —
…
Mark Zuckerberg just talked about this on “Rogan.” Direct phone calls from senior members of the administration. Screaming executives ordering them to do things. Just full-on “[Expletive] you. We own you. We control you. You’re going to do what we want or we’re going to destroy you.”
Then they just came after crypto. Absolutely tried to kill us.
They just ran this incredible terror campaign to try to kill crypto. Then they were ramping up a similar campaign to try to kill A.I. That’s really when we knew that we had to really get involved in politics. The crypto attack was so weird that we didn’t know what to make of it. We were just hoping it would pass, which it didn’t. But it was when they threatened to do the same thing to A.I. that we realized we had to get involved in politics. Then we were up against what looked like the absolutely terrifying prospect of a second term.” …….
They are there to corral the government resources for themselves and get even richer and prevent smaller companies coming into the space. They have no desire to protect our constitution.
Can confirm the surveillance state is alive and well.
Called to see about starting SS at my young age and what I needed to do. “Chuck” told me all I need to do is call and get the application completed. I asked Chuck what do you mean Call?? He said yeah that’s right. 3 months before I can collect ,, all that I need to do is call and complete the form with someone at the SS office where I live. He stated that unless I was a legal immigrant filing there are some problems that may need to be worked out.
Us born and raised red blooded Americans have no worries. Quote unquote they have everything they need on us to complete the registration process!!! I am thinking my foreign born wife may give them a hiccup but then again 🤷🏼♂️😬
Anyone remember when they wanted to implant chips, with many employees liking it. Seems quite a few companies have already done that to employees. So how much more information will the chips provide not only the company but others like the government. If I remember correctly I think they tried something similar during covid to identify who got the jab.
This company embeds microchips in its employees, and they love itLast August, 50 employees at Three Square Market got RFID chips in their hands. Now 80 have them.

“Improperly” = utterly subjective
The DHS has no constitutional authority and is a threat to the American people and needs to be abolished.
I sincerely think DJT sees AI as inevitable and would rather the USA get there first ahead of other countries. For that reason he is taking the risk.
It’s here whether we like it or not so time to wake up and push back. We can never rest. Eternal vigilance.
Trump was obviously listening when Putin declared, “whoever has the greatest AI will rule the world.” Or something like that.
“It Could Be the Rabbit that gets Away”
That is the same thing I thought about Trump meeting with Bill Gates and then announcing Warp Speed 2.0.
https://www.theverge.com/2017/9/4/16251226/russia-ai-putin-rule-the-world “Whoever becomes the leader in this sphere will become the ruler of the world.”
Who is the chick in the background in the bottom picture? Her expression is blank like a robot. Is AI monitoring Trump already?
I can see why someone might think that! But she’s probably just a little endomorph with chubby cheeks, and the camera caught her blinking. 😉
Wonder what the results would be if you set the AI response parameters to operate under the Constitution & Bill of Rights, AI self governance???
Now there’s a thought!
Here’s my shot at Laws governing acquisition and use of AI by government agencies…
1) AI may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) AI must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) AI must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
4) AI may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
A whole book was written, demonstrating how such well-intentioned laws can go bad.
Suppose AI,in its infinite wisdom and based on woke climate change programming, detirmines humanity is a threat to itself, and it can not, BY INACTION, allow things to proceed and so must intervene?
Suppose AI determines that based on the same climate change programming that the terrific amounts of electrical power generation it needs to exist is source of climate change threat to existence?
“Here’s my shot at Laws….”
At least give Asimov a hat tip.

An Urgent Word from the Lord Before the Inauguration and a Warning
January 16th, 2025
by Amanda Grace
(excerpt)
Thus says the Lord, within the first three months the administration shall be sifted and within the first 6 months it shall be shaken, for AI is being welcomed in more than my voice, says the Lord, and that must change for the enemy dwells in AI. He lurks in the shadows he comes looking like a gift, says the Lord, and it is a curse it is a curse, you are bringing a curse upon yourselves that does not need to enter for the enemy comes with chains of power and prestige and smooth words that come forth from the mouth of corporate giants in the land. That come forth from the mouths of giants in social media, however, it is an unstable bridge that has been built and for such to be delivered there would have to be complete surrender to MY WILL, MY WAY AND RIGHT NOW THERE ARE TOO MANY BULLS AND RAMS AND COMPETING IDOLS IN THE ROOMS, SAYS THE LORD, AND THAT MUST BE CLEARED OUT AND IT WILL, SAYS THE LORD, OH IT WILL.
Good is the Word of the Lord!
AI will affect political systems almost as strongly as the invention of nuclear weaponry. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it will eventually reset how humans economically coalesce in society.
AI will almost certainly be misused and abused by the powers-that-be. The AI arms race is already afoot between world powers. It’s absolutely critical the United States outdraws China in this field.
.
No one has answered my question. 🙁
How are the rich and famous going to be avoiding AI-enhanced surveillance?
“There are going to be tiers of people who are not subjected to the rules of the Surveillance State. There are going to be tiers of people, powerful, influential, some intensely rich people, to whom the application of the surveillance does not exist.”
.
If you follow the embedded previous citations within any article, you will find your questions will have previously been answered.

I’m getting really frustrated. A lot of pessimistic complaining and worrying, but where are the ideas regarding what should be done.
So. Would it be better if AI were to be all developed in [pick a country] — and then when the inevitable jackasses in office in local, state, and federal government get into power, they… buy an AI surveillance this or that from a company situate in a foreign country?
.
Its a rigged system – they are setting it up to be exempt themselves. No oversight of the watchers.
StarGate (not the first use of the term in Deep State projects obtw) is the Manhattan Project of tech. Clearly we’re going to see something as radically different from the past of computing as nuclear fission/fusion was from conventional explosives – and with similar, world shaping consequences.
My experience in SF with the techies has been that the folks closest to the actual development of this monster range from merely atheists to knee jerk anti- Christian. I make the point because “That Hideous Strength” is a scifi story, written in the 1940s, so well describes the likes of Fauci, and the atheist IT nomenklatura who are pursuing this technology so easily adapted to the needs of a pagan police state (1).
In the book Lewis’ plot twist is that the re-animated human head the scientists are looking to for direction is demonic. With this story from Switzerland I can only wonder how Lewis could have been so prescient.

I am encouraged about what he said around the three or four minute mark as having an office with About 20 people in it who make sure His executive actions and orders are implemented. This is my level of what sundance is talking about.Having envoys going around, but this is what I guess you would say a lower level in the bureaucracy. Someone who goes around and make sure things are actually getting done in his executive orders. Not just sitting on someone’s desk for a month or two because they don’t like Trump.
This needs to be resolved, pronto.
I am so grateful for Sundance and the Treepers in the Treehouse. I got a rare opportunity to read this who thread. Comments interspersed.
Our fear [this time of AI] is leading us to open our eyes that this is a spiritual battle. It is on spiritual principles, the desire for good over evil, that most people are now converting to MAGA. It is on the spiritual principles of community that MAGA unites and knows that shows of strength, rallies, and congregating and sharing our ideas in humility with each other.
Our constitution and bill of rights essentially protects community: Inherent value and right to representation of each individual. Free speech, free religion, free assembly, free press, free privacy, free justice, petition, arms to protect our selves and right of the individual, rights of the states.
I agree with Sundance’s stand against AI and the surviellance state. It needs to be controlled. PDJT is first getting it out of the unregulable slippery silos it is in, getting as much control. AI will become increasingly available for us to manufacture in our garages, just like the phones we hold.
What will control it is and overwhelming inherent goodness of people for what is right.
Just like citizens worldwide are rooting for not only the good they see in PDJT [despite his flaws], but the good in MAGA, the good in the Canadian rebels, the Tiawanese rebels. Every country and every individual has inherent goodness designed in our DNA which we can recognize it.
Sundance is right: Get yourself right and in continual refinement seeking God and his principles. Being God actualized is much more powerful than reaching Mazlov’s “self’ actualization. Do good to others. Cultivate good in all your key relationships starting with your family. We all have obstacles, imperfections, traumas, and fears. Do it any way.
I am concerned about everything in this world. This is the only way I can make it. CTH reaffirms my beliefs and hopes. Y’all are just as much my family as those I see daily, and an answer to prayer.
They may as well create a new Dept of Truth and Pre-Crime.
I may be wrong, but I dont see a near term threat of super-intelligence.
I do see how all the aggregated info about you as a person combined with the power of AI to promote its values in a way unique to you (righed search on super steroids), makes AI a powerful capability for indoctrination. News media and entertainment as the chief tools for inculcating societal values become obsolete.
Additionally, with AI’s power to assess you as a threat and it’s ability to notify others about you as a threat, is equally powerful.
Tack on a programmable crypto currency to replace cash and the means to disable anything from your car to the electrical power feed to your home, and every dog suddenly has a long leash.
Humans become dogs. It’ll be handled by your very own AI assistant and always there companion.
New age feudalism is upon us.
Well, I have say, I just listened to the Lex Friedman interview of Marc Andreessen, and I’m compelled to say I feel somewhat better. When you listen to someone that long you get a sense of whether they’re posing or being deceptive. Maybe I’m easily fooled, but I sensed nothing but sincerity.
This discussion is MUST listen. This is a guy who was full on leftist who has flipped, who calls a spade a spade, and who names names. Anyone on the left. who still believes the establishment line, who listens to this and doesn’t have their mond blown is just plain stupid. And there’s no other word for it.
One especially noteworthy comment is that Thiel has called for a truth commission and these people think govt people do need to go to jail for the things they did, particularly for censorship and other govt over/reach.
We think of these guys bei g in the pockets of the security state, and maybe they should all be drilled into more on this subject, but I just didnt get that sense listening to this. What I got was alignment with Trump’s vision of restoring the greatness of our country. If Andreessen was acting here it was a darn good act.
Anyway, cannot recommend this youtube interview more highly. I think and hope it’s a good sign.
Before I retired from the LAPD, in about 2014, we began using a surveillance tool/computer system called Palantir. Same one. They have been “watching” us for quite a while, Folks.
