Newly confirmed Secretary of State Marco Rubio has outlined his plans for his first foreign trip on behalf of President Trump.
In keeping with the #1 priority of U.S. border security and western hemisphere focus, Secretary Rubio will be heading to Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. Obviously, the strategic national interest of the Panama Canal will be at the forefront of the visit; however, the visit to Guatemala and El Salvador will likely focus on their role in the transit of illegal aliens to the U.S. southern border.
President Trump has taken a very strong approach in his prior remarks about the central and south American nations being responsible to control migration. There are numerous Non-Governmental Organizations and U.N agencies operating in Central America who direct and support the illegal migration flow.
This will be a test of Rubio’s capability to transfer President Trump’s open statements about repatriation of unlawful border crossers back into the nations of origin. Undoubtably, Rubio will carry the economic weapons of trade and tariffs in his discussions with leaders in the region.
WASHINGTON DC – Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to visit Panama — the country whose canal President Donald Trump has suggested he’d seize — as early as next week, according to three U.S. officials briefed on the plan.
The Rubio trip — scheduled to run from late January to early February — also includes Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, the officials said.
The trip is expected to be Rubio’s first foreign travel as secretary of State, said one former official who was also briefed on the plan. All were granted anonymity as they weren’t authorized to discuss travel plans publicly.
All of the individuals also stressed that the travel plans are tentative.
Late Wednesday, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce confirmed the overall travel plan and said Rubio was choosing to prioritize the Western Hemisphere because “it’s where we live.”
“We won’t continue to ignore the region as other administrations have,” Bruce said. “Engaging with our neighbors is a vital element in addressing migration, supply chains and economic growth, which are key to Secretary Rubio’s pursuit of foreign policy focused on making America strong, prosperous, and safe.” (more)

Reading about this the idea arises that Marco was picked mainly to develop Latin America as part of a Greater America vision wherein the US will dominate the Americas from Hawaii to Greenland including Canada all the way down to Argentina whilst pulling the Empire out of the Middle East and Asia. To do this he will have to give major progress to Israel; also the neocons will want to put their tentacles into every single Latin American country. Well, Mexico and Argentina are both run by Jews and they are quite influential in other countries too. I was hoping that he could give them an Israel free of Palestinians and slightly larger in return for their no longer driving US foreign policy and twisting domestic policy as leverage for that ultimate mission but from reports circulating around Latin America (via my Mexican wife) looks like they have designs on Latin America.
In which case, I very much doubt any substantive reforms will be forthcoming. As long as the USG is held hostage by small oligarchic networks it will not be a bona fide republic as we all aspire it to be; it won’t really be a republic at all. I think Marco Rubio is a never Trumper rube. He is totally controlled by the US Senate. I do not trust anything he says or does. I will admit that he reads political tea leaves better than most, but he will subvert Trump as soon as he thinks he can get away with it. Then, maybe we will see the last of him. Trump will hopefully have a structure to go around him when he gets out of line, but that should not be in the forefront until all of those pieces are in place. Just my humble opinion, of course.

I think that is one of the reasons why PDJT chose him for the job. Let him be the expert in the Spanish speaking part of the world. He is Cuban. His parents had to escape Cuba. You know, it sounds like the theme of “common sense” may be real.
I am from Dominican Republic and while many Dominican’s do migrate illegally, the vast majority do so legally.
We have a huge issue with Haiti which shares our island home and is essentially a mix of Somalia and Afghanistan in the Caribbean and this hellhole of a country sends a vast mass migration of illegal Haitians to Dominican Republic to steal our jobs, engage in crime and live off of the public dole, kinda similar to USA.
These Haitians then engage in mass identity fraud and falsely claim to be Dominican when in fact they are Haitian, the Clinton/Obama cabal of NGO’s has made it hard for DR to enforce it’s Migratory Laws and that’s why the Government has not cracked down on this horde of savages.
The savages then migrate en masse to Mexico claiming to be Dominican and from there they come to USA, where they melt in with the massive Haitian Diaspora that is swarming over places like Springfield Illinois for example.
IF Marco can help DR deport the Haitians and strip them of their fake papers, a huge drop in illegal Haitian migrants will be seen in USA.

“Border Czar” Kamala went on a junket to Central America “to address the root causes” back in mid-2021. It was an absolute disaster that left the leaders of all those countries p*ssed off at the US for years afterward. Some of them might actually have sped up the flow of illegals just out of spite.
I am confident Rubio’s trip to many of those same countries will have a far better result. He is far more intelligent and culturally savvy than she ever was. He also has the backup from a powerful and competent POTUS who understands both carrots and sticks (and who isn’t fishing for kickbacks.)
