Never have I seen a Speaker of the House perform so horribly in his short time as Speaker and be re-elected again simply because no one can agree on the future Speaker. But it had to be done for the sake of the country.
History has given Speaker Johnson a HUGE opportunity to be great. His legacy is in his hands, again. I hope he does not betray the trust of the people this time around.
Unfortunately he has a track record. He does not seem to be worried about his legacy, maybe worried about his life or some nasty scandal coming from his closet, but not his legacy.
