Today here in a close suburb of Boston MA I saw a group of 40-50 people with Trump flags in front of a high-end shopping center. That is unheard of here in Taxachusetts. Not saying it means anything, just anecdotal, but still… This town voted over 68% for Biden in 2020.
I doubt it was the town voting for biden. I bet it was dominion.

I was scrolling through some available streaming channels on my tv and saw 48 Hours which is a true crime type show describing real crime investigations. The show itself is pretty interesting, but the wall to wall political ads for Kamala are disgusting.
The ads go on an on with lies about President Trump. It’s hard to stomach the lies these people say and I expect these ads run on all network and streaming channels. This is what liberals see and just reinforces what they believe about President Trump.
Anyway, just disturbing how widespread the lies about President Trump gets distributed to the populace and voters.

The union representing 85,000 dockworkers at ports on the East and Gulf coasts of the US said Sunday it will go on strike early Tuesday.
“The United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) refuses to address a half-century of wage subjugation where Ocean Carriers profits skyrocketed from millions to mega-billion dollars, while ILA longshore wages remained flat,” the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) said in a statement.
The strike would begin at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday and affect ports from Maine to Texas, ILA said.
A strike would be the first coast-wide strike by the ILA since 1977.
President Joe Biden told reporters earlier Sunday that he would not intervene to prevent the strike.
“It’s collective bargaining. I don’t believe in Taft-Hartley,” he said, referring to the federal law that gives presidents the power to impose an 80-day cooling-off period in labor disputes that could impact national security or safety.”
There are no talks scheduled between the sides before Tuesday.
This could be the final tipping point dooming Harris. When food and other products, including gasoline, start becoming scarce, it’s all over for her. It won’t take long for fresh fruit and produce to start disappearing in supermarkets. And for prices to start skyrocketing as shippers will now have to use the west coast, increasing transportation costs.

A question on twitter/X is something to consider – are the people who unload oil from the tankers to deliver to various places across the country part of that union?
I heard that the union is demanding a 70% pay raise. That’s a pretty steep ask.
My suspicious cat is slyly wondering if this is more a set up for an October surprise than a real union membership dispute since so many other unions have come out either endorsing President Trump or simply not announcing any endorsements this time.

As of 9/23/2024, the State of PA shows 44% Dems and 40.2% Republicans, or a 3.8% lead for the Dems, not 8.4% as in this poll. I think the pollster is using old registered voting figures.
Since 2008, Democrats’ registration edge over Republicans has steadily shrunk — from a 12% advantage in April 2008 to about a 4% advantage in April 2024, and now 3.8% in September. Meanwhile, Independents have increased from 11% to 16% during the same period.
