The right-wing of the DC UniPParty played their role very well. With mission accomplished, U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has resigned her position, following the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.
(Via NBC) – In her resignation letter, obtained from a senior official who received it, Cheatle wrote that the “scrutiny over the last week has been intense and will continue to remain as our operational tempo increases.” She added she takes “full responsibility for the security lapse.”
“In light of recent events, it is with a heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to step down as your Director,” wrote Cheatle, who had led the agency since September 2022. It’s unclear when her last day will be. (more)
Dept of Homeland Security, Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, appoints Ronald Rowe as his replacement. Rowe was one of Obama’s foot soldiers who helped create the domestic surveillance and targeting mechanisms for the weaponized Intelligence Community. Go figure.

USSS – Effective July 23, 2024, Ronald L. Rowe, Jr. serves as the Acting Director of the Secret Service. As Acting Director, he is responsible for successfully executing the agency’s integrated mission of protection and investigations by leading a diverse workforce composed of more than 7,800 Special Agents, Uniformed Division Officers, Technical Law Enforcement Officers, and Administrative, Professional, and Technical personnel.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy Director of the Secret Service in April 2023. In this role, Mr. Rowe was responsible for the direct oversight of the agency’s daily investigative and protective operations. Mr. Rowe also guided the agency’s policies and was responsible for introducing state-of-the-art technologies to enhance the agency’s protective countermeasures.
Prior to his appointment as Deputy Director, Mr. Rowe served as the agency’s Assistant Director for the Office of Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs. He was responsible for leading the Secret Service’s engagement with Congress, the Department of Homeland Security and other government partners.
Mr. Rowe’s previous executive experience within the Secret Service includes serving as the Chief of Staff to the Director (2021), Deputy Assistant Director for the Office of Protective Operations (2018-2021) and as the Deputy Assistant Director for the Office of Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs (2017-2018).
During his 24-year career with the U.S. Secret Service, Mr. Rowe has also coordinated major security operations, collaborating with other government and law-enforcement agencies. Mr. Rowe managed a National Special Security Event (NSSE) and oversaw the operations of more than 7,000 personnel across federal, state and local jurisdictions (2016). On the cybersecurity front, Mr. Rowe was selected for a joint duty assignment to the National Intelligence Council (2013), where he spearheaded the development of multiple analytic products. Those products were later considered to be among the most authoritative assessment by the U.S. Intelligence Community regarding the challenges and national security threats facing the United States.
Mr. Rowe aided the National Security Council as a National Security and Law Enforcement Policy Advisor (2011), where he developed the President’s strategy to combat state-sponsored economic espionage and the theft of U.S. trade secrets and other intellectual properties. Other accolades in Mr. Rowe’s career at the Secret Service include being selected to the staff of the U.S. Senate’s Committee on the Judiciary (2008-2011) and being assigned to the Presidential Protective Detail (2004-2008). I believe this is FFPDJT’s 2nd rally at this location in Butler? If so, has anyone asked what the advance SS team protocol was for the previous event compared to the July 13 event?
The previous Butler rally was 10/31/20 at the airport, not the farm show.
I used to live in Butler so I have taken an interest in the rallies there. The previous rally was in 2020 and was held a few days prior to the election. The media crowd estimate was 58,000. People had come from all over, as Butler’s population is only a fraction of 58,000.
That rally was held at the airport in Butler, and DJT arrived by helicopter IIRC. (The airport couldn’t handle a large airplane like Air Force One.)
The recent rally at the Butler Farm Show (which is like a county fairgrounds) wouldn’t have the same type of planning for security I would imagine, due to the differences in the venue.

Any .30 projectile (.308, 7.62×51, 338 Lapua, 30-06, etc) would’ve blown off a large part of front or back of head, depending on where bullet entered. So would 77 grain 5.56×45 match/sniper grade projectile; unless it was frangible to avoid overpenetration and landing in spectator crowd.

Check out Brandon Herrera’s video reconstruction of the assassination attempt. He also re-creates the shot that took out Crooks. Brutal, human skin holds together better than ballistic gel but you get the idea what is left inside of that skin bag that used to be his head.

If he was Deputy Director under Cheatle he was most likely running the SS anyway sice she was a 100% political appointee. So nothing has changed. Also shouldn’t the dei hire and all of their staff running the protection details division for SS be fired like 10 days ago? They were the actual people making the decisions. Correction, they were the actual people being told how to set up the incident by the powers that be. Good thing is they’re all pretty blatantly stupid and didn’t succeed. When the DHS was first formed, my husband’s company had some dealings with them. Husband (now deceased) told me at the time that the DHS was a mess, totally disorganized, no discernible management or reliable intercommunication, people running around like “chickens with their heads cut off.” Apparently, nothing has improved since.
A Marine buddy of mine went to work for DHS. He was a hard charger in the Marine Corps, one of the best SNCO’s I ever had. He told me he makes 6 figures but doesn’t work nearly as hard as when he was in the Marines. He explained he was an “A” player in the Marines but at DHS he’s a D player, C+ at most, but everyone he works with is an “F” so by comparison he looks like a superstar. The biggest thing he does is get back to people when they ask for something. The others don’t even do that much.
