And we also know from reports that Crooks practiced on a range, and the day of the rally shooting he told his father he was going to a range to practice which is probably how he explained leaving the house with the AR15. But if you don’t want to believe those reports then watch Representative Pat Fallon during the hearing.
Fallon said he owns an AR15 which he had used only one time 6 years ago. He said he has never had long gun training. He decided to test his AR15. He made 16 shots, 8 with one type of scope and 8 with another. 15 out of the 16 were kill shots and the other would have hit the President’s ear. In other words, you don’t really need to be so skilled to kill someone with an AR15, which would explain why it’s the mass shooters’ weapon of choice.

His home is regularly visited by someone from D.C.
I want to caution people to not take that statement as factual. It was derived from tracking work the Heritage Foundation did. I find that tracking info really interesting and I believe it’s correct, but the info did not show that “someone from DC” had visited Crooks’ home. Here’s what the Heritage Foundation said:
“Someone who regularly visited Crooks home and work also visited a building in Washington, DC located in Gallery Place. This is in the same vicinity of an @FBI office on June 26, 2023. Who’s device is this?”
It was probably Crooks doing something in DC. It was 2023. There are FBI offices within several blocks, but also a lot of things a tourist might visit. So we can’t really know what he was doing there. Again, it was 2023.
I was actually more interested in what he was doing in Massachusetts in May 2024. He flew to Boston and then apparently drove to a hotel in Plymouth and was there for 3 days. Maybe an assassin convention? (jk) It might have been a wedding or a reunion, who knows.
