Fundamentally, we have a vital Constitutional issue here that must now be taken directly to the Supreme Court. (“Lawfare™” now gives us no choice.)

Which is Trump’s privilege, since the SCOTUS is the “Court of Primary Jurisdiction” for this(!) plaintiff, and the national gravity of the situation brooks no delay in hearing it.

The SCOTUS has already decided, many times and in many ways, that “The President” is “The Executive Branch of Government.” As defined by Article 2. He is no ordinary individual. He cannot “commit a crime” by exercising his Office as he alone sees fit – just as a Member of Congress cannot be called to account for [“libeling everyone and lying through his teeth” 🤡] as long as he does so “on the Floor.”

Likewise, he has plenary power regarding “classified materials.” No one else can tell him, “oh, but we think that these materials were …” It doesn’t matter what other people think. It doesn’t matter what “the rules are” for anybody else.

Our system of Government cannot exist if the Executive Branch is credibly to now live in fear of being thrown in prison for [two thousand years] because he said something, or made a decision, or issued a military order that some minion didn’t approve of. And, the SCOTUS has already said so.

“Lawfare” thinks that “they’re on a roll now,” and they have no intention of stopping. Therefore, they must be legally stopped. The underlying legal principles have already been settled. Now, they must be formally re-affirmed and articulated by the SCOTUS. In what will necessarily be “a landmark decision” even though it need not “decide” anything new.
