The Tucker Carlson monologue tonight takes on the issue of extreme government control over the smallest details of life under oppression and totalitarian outlooks amid those who control western democracies. WATCH:
.
“We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.” ~ Mike Vanderboegh
This was good. I wish he would have said this about the masks and vaccines a long time ago. Good that he called out the GOP’s silence when Biden issued the mask mandate.
Tucker Carlson was the first person I watched who was advocating for wearing masks back when Covid started. This was before Fauci changed his mind and started pushing masks. My impression was that Fauci followed Tucker’s lead.
I am also sure you never wore a mask during the ‘three weeks to flatten the curve’ because of your superior hindsight. If you are just trolling this thread, then my bad, eh?
It could be that a long time ago he had no idea how corrupt our Government is. The cat has been out of the bag for about 15 years and the corruption start long before I was born. It took most of us most of our lives to start believing the US Government was as corrupt as every other Government in the world. We loved our country and believed in its founding ideas.
Tucker Carlson is the only TV program I even watch, aside from sports broadcasts involving my local teams. I turn the sound off of the sports events so that I don’t have to hear the constant parade of virtue signalling commercial breaks or the voices of the lame-brained booth announcers.
“But be that as it may, there is no such thing as a power of inherent sovereignty in the government of the United States. It is a government of delegated powers, supreme within its prescribed sphere, but powerless outside of it. In this country, sovereignty resides in the people, and congress can exercise no power which they have not, by their constitution, intrusted to it; all else is withheld.”

But, “tell that to them.” When some people get Power, they cannot let go of it.
They even want to kill you, in the name of “surplus population.” However, let the record show that they do not volunteer to go first …
It takes a lot of voices to make the sound heard. The left can ban menthol cigarettes because there will be no loud sound in defiance that the “elites” will hear, as Tucker so correctly notes.
Living in CA this has bothered me. Not only do I cook with gas but I cook on a late 50s Wedgewood stove with 7 pilot lights.
About 25 years ago the city of Porterville decided to run natural gas out of town a mile or so to their airport. The line was going to be installed so close to our little community of 5 acre parcels that the gas company offered to install gas lines to us so long as we paid for installation on our property. So we did. Before that we all had propane.
If they ban has stoves I will have the local propane dealer come out and run a line just for my stove and convert it back to propane.
I can’t cook on electricity. I’ve tried. You have no fine control over the temperature.
That’s probably where the saying “Now we’re cooking with gas” comes from when things are going really good!
“I can’t cook on electricity.”…..says EVERY says every chef at every single good restaurant I have ever eaten at. The idea would be ludicrous.
Yep, they ALL hate electric!
I am waiting for political discussions regarding Asphalt used for pavement and shingles.
Everyone knows those products emit the highest amount of greenhouse gases emitted in any urban community.
I double dare them to come for any of my stuff that I have either earned the money to purchase or have learned to enjoy. They’ll be met at the door with every weapon that I own….scissors, kitchen knives, baseball bat, hammer, etc. I’m getting sick and tired of this crap.
I agree Dixie although I would suggest you upgrade your personal self defense arsenal.
😎
Brutal truth telling by Tucker about what motivates lefties. Well done Tucker.
Since he made that brave and important decision to use his pedestal to gut the leftist monster, he just goes from good to great.
He know that if he doesn’t stand NOW, his children will have no future.
Now that they are all onboard with the green new deal in The Swamp, it is time to get rid of their very expensive and very bad habit, single serve, plastic wrapped BOTTLED WATER. They can bring their own jugs from home or we can install a few water fountains for them.
We need a bill that outlaws these to be purchased with any gubt funds, federal or local.
sand in the gears….
and there is a lot of sand.
In their defense, No way I’d drink swamp water. 🤣
And specialty coffees and the containers they come in.
Thirty one trillion in debt and nothing to show for it. What big government does. Completely out of control.
Tucker is definitely “getting there.” He started his career in media as a relatively ordinary Buckleyite or “orthodox” conservative. With every evening’s presentation he comes closer to being a hard-line freedom advocate. We need thousands more such voices…something I wish I didn’t have to say.
My fear is that Tucker’s platform could be yanked out from under him by the corporation that provides it. After all, the masters of FOX aren’t nearly as fond of individual freedom as he. They have sponsors to protect, and a lot of them make significant portions of their revenues from government involvements. Stay tuned.
Tucker could be telling too much truth about the government for Fox.
they just lost some 47 yr. old executive.
a shot across the bow?
The guy was the political news chief. A very Big Guy.
I heard that his program producers and staff are contracted by FOX to fill his time slot and they are on Tucker’s payroll.
He could name his price at another network..
Or buy his own. Lots of opportunities.
He’s like Trp in 2015-16…The PTB couldn’t do without him, or with him. He had them by the short and curlies.
It seems that Tucker might be the only show that is keeping Fox’s ad revenue up. I dropped Fox just after the 20 election when Bret Bear was dancing around like a Hyena saying the most free and fair election. I don’t think I am in the minority.
I don’t watch Fox. The only reason I am paying attention to Tucker Carlson is because Sundance is.
Maybe but ratings = revenue
The day is coming…..
Power grabbing. This is found at EVERY level of government and, tangentially, why term limits of elected officials plays right into the hands of power hungry bureaucrats. All officials, elected and unelected, should be term limited. All revolving doors between government contractors and companies that do business with the government, and government employees and elected officials should be forever locked. All companies doing business with government that were found to be performing criminal acts in these business dealings should be barred from further government contracting and all involved, officials included, should be fined and imprisoned. Personal liability for criminal conduct in government contracting is nonexistent and millions of people have been maimed, disabled or killed. Enough.
How much longer will Tucker be allowed to air his podcast on Fox? He is way off their establishment plantation.
Tucker is rightfully making fun of the ‘idiots’ running the wheels off our country. The junta that controls Washington fraudulently will not allow his honest humor to continue too much longer. He’s becoming too popular.
Tucker seems to be giggling more and more.
Agreed! I find it quite annoying. Serious conversation includes very little giggling. What he’s discussing is anything but funny.
Because it’s getting more and more ridiculous. Nothing cuts like ridicule.
He’s mocking them, and they can’t tolerate it.
It angers them tremendously, and makes the point to the audience that this is outrageously absurd.
I ‘ve been wondering about that, my comment is at the bottom.
Another excellent monologue by Tucker. The only thing I will push back on is the idea that all of these regulations are born of incompetence. Tucker, like many pundits, interchange “incompetence” with the small minded expressions of power – such as closing gyms during a pandemic killing off the obese. It is not incompetence. It is Tyranny. In fact, I would argue that those in power are very competent. They are competent at getting the majority of Americans to willingly comply with their small minded, power hungry diktats. If I could see one word banished from the American political lexicon, it would be “incompetence.” Anytime you hear someone say a politician is “incompetent”, replace that word with “tyrannical”. And see if it doesn’t fit.
I think incompetent is the correct word. Look at VP Harris. Her picture is right next to the definition of incompetence in the dictionary.
When you are weak, you over compensate with bullying and using your power, the outcome of what we see is tyrannical. What incompetent people feel is competent when controlling others. Narcissistic authoritarians…
Heaven forbid they worship their creator.

I have visited the Sipsey Street Irregulars website a few times via the link in CTH homepage. Likely was an interesting blog in its time.
Mike V was a good man, a lot of people criticized him for being a reformed liberal, to put it politely, and he was not deserving of that.
David Horowitz is a good man too. And a reformed liberal as well.
I was interesting and informative.
Tucker also mentioned the “entertainment” , laughed, then said, “what a bunch of freaks!”
Tucker is correct.
People need to understand that years ago federal bureaucrats at all levels below political appointee were disproportionately Democrat but they didn’t hate America and Americans.
The bureaucrats that are in place now are overwhelmingly partisan Democrats and other leftists. They truly hate America – our Constitution, history, etc. and the American people. The contempt they have for the average American or any American in the mid-West or South is openly expressed and it’s assumed everyone thinks the same way.
This attitude permeates the bureaucracy from new hires fresh out of college up to SES staff. It is also found in the pentagon among active duty officers and the large contractors that employ hundreds of thousands of people that work with those bureaucrats.
These same government workers and contractors put their pronouns by their names in their communications, etc. It’s rare to encounter a white government worker or contractor under 50 (the vast majority of them) that attends church. They also earn way more money than the average American and don’t worry about the economy in the same way for the most part as government workers don’t get fired and have pensions.
Until we shrink the bureaucracy and abolish agencies, we can’t expect to fix the counrty.
They also don’t have to SAVE MONEY, or take market risk in 401ks as we do. Their salaries while working are so good that they don’t have to save money like we do, employment protection so good, retirement benefits so generous & guaranteed (early retirement at 50 or 55, with 75% salary), that they live on a whole other world than we do…AND THEYRE ENTITLED.
And they’ll tell you so, too.
If you could see their souls, they’d look like Golum.
“My precious!”
They can’t relinquish power because they have too many skeletons to hide, and have committed too many crimes.
They refuse to be held accountable, and so the strategy, effective, I must say, is to hold on to power, at all costs, regardless of the innocents who pay the price.
Thinking of all those poor mostly young men forced to fight on both sides in Ukraine, makes me physically sick, and haunts me. They want to be home with their families, not in a war hellhole.
PS. Damn the corrupt ones all to hell.
The soldiers, and all of us, whatever role we play, are mere chess pieces, if they get their way.
An excellent cultural history of World War 1 is Modris Eksteins, Rites of Spring: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/162331.Rites_of_Spring
During hurricane Ian, my wife and I had to evacuate our condo. So we sought safety at a friend’s inland house to ride out the storm. As what happened to many others, we eventually lost electric power at the friend’s house and all the other services or activities that depend on electricity. Fortunately, we never lost the water supply and that this house had natural gas service that fed the hot water heater and the kitchen range. Even though we had to use battery powered lanterns for light, we never ran out of hot water, and, as long as we had matches, we could light the stove and cook food.
I don’t think these do-gooder control freaks think through all the ramifications of their suggested (mandatory) actions. If you have access to natural gas, it is a blessing not a harm. I don’t understand why these people feel they have the authority to “save us from ourselves!”
Well Tucker, some of us tried to sound the warning back in the beginning. This is from Apr 2020.
Imagine where we’d be today had more people called it out.
I am pretty sure this is where the women in the US are headed. I am hoping the “immigrants” won’t go for it.
This may be a minor point with the seriousness of the topic, but I have noticed a trend he is using for lack of a better word at the moment, as no doubt many others have, of weird laughter at different times in the outline, one example here is at minute 7:25, I can’t figure if he is doing this to illustrate the absurdity of the people he is mentioning or something else.
