After waiting a full media cycle (26 hours) to evaluate the landscape, the team behind Florida Governor Ron DeSantis coordinated an “exclusive interview” with Laura Ingraham to give his opinion on the divisive speech by Joe Biden.
Carefully navigating the political waters to avoid the terms “MAGA republican” or “Trump,” DeSantis gave a down the middle approved republican rebuttal. WATCH:
.
I’m proud to be MAGA and I’m disappointed, but not surprised, that DeSantis has aligned himself with the RINO establishment instead of with MAGA.
I personally don’t identify with the Republican Party at all. I identify as a grassroots, populist, constitutionalist, Christian, MAGA conservative.
I hate the warmongering neoconservatism, corporatism, globalism, and milquetoast stance on social issues of the establishment RINO Republicans.
Gov DeSantis is upholding the rule of law and taking action against those Florida liberal prosecutors who refuse to:

The political parties (both) are out to destroy Trump.
If Trump is elected he will be a lame duck President.
And who will serve with him after seeing how his advisors have been pursued.
I love Trump as he has brought out sooo much of what is wrong in DC and the media. And “fake news” and these policies which harm US legal citizens have been brought out.
But having a productive 4 years with Trump at the helm does not seem possible, even for him. He cannot do it alone.
It’s Trump vs all.
And that’s the problem.
FBI/DOJ are willing to imprison Americans for over a year for being shepherded into the Capitol by those the FBI/DOJ will not prosecute???
Put us thru Trump-Russia for years and go after all his advisors?
Meanwhile no one is held accountable within these Agencies.
Meanwhile BLM and Antifa burned down our cities?
Ron, we figured you out quicker than Ted Cruz. Thanks Sundance. Stay in Florida, Ron Burgundy, they’ll need a fake leader once President Trump starts the Accountability Project…on Day 1.
So why hasn’t Trump come out and lambasted DeSantis?
Perhaps this is chess (everyone here has said Trump is a master) and DeSantis is part of the plan-whatever his part.
Because it’s too late for him to so, at least for now.
The Mar-a-Lago raid and DeSantis’ subsequent reaction happened too close to the Florida primary election for a successful primary challenge to happen. Had they happened earlier, Trump absolutely would’ve sponsored a challenger posthaste.
Now, Trump has no choice but to keep his mouth shut and let things play out without his endorsement of the GOP candidate, just like he’s doing in Georgia. Otherwise he would risk throwing the race to the Democrats, and consequently pissing off so many Florida Republicans that they would (1) gladly vote for DeSantis over Trump in the 2024 primary; and (2) stay home in droves in November 2024 should Trump get the nomination, and consequently cause Florida to go Blue for that race.
Sundance—
On POTUS’ Patreon blog he used the same DeSantis clip and said “Well said Governor”
I will wait until my President indicates to me I should distrust him or his motives.
Or you could think for your self…
No need to … DeSantis is doing a good job discrediting himself.
Coward
Folks, give big Ron a chance here. Could he and Trump have a “good cop bad cop” routine in play? Would you rather have Kamala or Newscum?
Hate to say it but if Desantis came out swinging a big club just like Trump, he would get the same fake accusations and deep state plots against him. If big Ron just keeps a little quiet until he wins, he will avoid the 4th branch attacks and the media will love on him because, “he’s not Trump”.
It’s a catch 22 for conservatives. Tell everybody about all your plans and get destroyed, or keep your plans quiet and conservatives reject you as a RINO. I’ll admit that voting for someone who is wishy washy is tough but you have to hope they have some surprises for once they get in office. If they turn out to be a full snorting RINO, OK, still better than any democrat.
MM55:
IMHO, Minnesota has been a microcosm of the nation since Jesse. He was our imperfect retaliation against the establishment then. Trump was ever so much better. That said, you are dead on that we cannot have only Trump in our corner- we need more and as they said of Reagan “Reagan want Reagan until he was”, neither was Trump, the possibility is there for Ron D. Maybe he can do some of what Trump couldn’t? Here’s to hope if it comes to that!
Could be…but I doubt it…
Rino Ron isn’t fooling me…
So easy to see he is controlled opposition, it is embarrassing
