Senator Mike Lee questions FBI Director Chris Wray about the FBI using tenuous legal authorities to identify people who attended the DC protest rally on January 6, 2021.
Senator Lee specifically asks FBI Director Wray if they are using cell phone geolocation and under what legal authority this is being done: National Security Letters? FISA Court? Search warrants based on probable cause? Wray’s respons is disingenuous… WATCH:
Additionally, according to a segment aired February 4th on Tucker Carlson television show, Bank of America sent customer purchasing history to federal agencies to assist in their investigation of persons who attended the January 6th protest in Washington DC.
Again, demonstrating the ramifications from a lack of privacy protection, the assembly of an enemies list has been part of the overall investigation. Gizmodo outlined how the phone numbers of Parler users were tracked using GPS and also used by investigators [SEE HERE] This type of exploitation should serve as a warning to Americans…. There is a big brother, and that system can/will be weaponized by government if/when an ideological administration is in power – like now.
It’s so humiliating to find out we are Communist China. It is devastating to lose American pride. How they could infiltrate and create a Reichstag fire to harass and surveil ACTUAL peaceful protestors trying to vote is satanic.
They are in on the crime of trying to keep us from voting.
Nobody is stopping it.
Sadly I do not see a viable plan from Trump or Matt Gaetz either.
They are satanic. Please God, let me live long enough to see Rush Limbaugh’s prayers for America answered, and his belief in us vindicated.
The Deep State is a monstrosity. In 1,000 years real historians will still be disgusted with their damage to the world.
It’s a Boss Hogg situation. The politicians are Boss Hogg and the FB Lie is Sheriff Roscoe P Coltraine except this sleaze is in bed with the Commies.
I hate violence of any kind but just looking at this lying sack of human excrement I want to smack him really really hard in in his ugly, repulsive, rubber lips mouth. He has what some call a punchable face. Such an evil, truly disgusting person.
Forgive me in advance for raising an inconvenient fact: Who was it that appointed this pos and kept him in office for 3 years? was it the same guy who appointed Barr?
It is a fallacy to think the president can just appoint anyone he wants to certain positions. The SoS, DNI, Director of FBI and CIA, AG, all have to be approved by the oh so corrupt SSCI. The administrative state will never relinquish control.
That truth hurts me, but Trump is light years ahead of Obiden.
For the umpteenth time, its is fear of what is described in the book below which you can see to be a justified fear based upon what they are talking about doing “six ways from Sunday” to Trump in the SDNY now that he’s out of office that led him to appoint and keep swamp scum.
Plus, since only swamp scum know they are immune to this by virtue of being swamp scum, swamp scum would be the only ones willing to accept his appointments. As further confirmation of the validity of this, consider what happened to all of his actual allies who were not swamp scum. This is the same implied blackmail used on all politicians who might want to rock the hopelessly corrupt boat. Those who are cooperative and actually involved in the corruption, like the Hildabeast, are given a pass. What else could be expected when, as SD has said many times, TRILLIONS of dollars are at stake.
Thus, see my post far above about how the actual government isn’t really something you can vote for.
Book: Three Felonies A Day: How the Feds Target the Innocent
The average professional in this country wakes up in the morning, goes to work, comes home, eats dinner, and then goes to sleep, unaware that he or she has likely committed several federal crimes that day. Why? The answer lies in the very nature of modern federal criminal laws, which have exploded in number but also become impossibly broad and vague. In Three Felonies a Day, Harvey A. Silverglate reveals how federal criminal laws have become dangerously disconnected from the English common law tradition and how prosecutors can pin arguable federal crimes on any one of us, for even the most seemingly innocuous behavior. The volume of federal crimes in recent decades has increased well beyond the statute books and into the morass of the Code of Federal Regulations, handing federal prosecutors an additional trove of vague and exceedingly complex and technical prohibitions to stick on their hapless targets. The dangers spelled out in Three Felonies a Day do not apply solely to “white collar criminals,” state and local [AND federal – W] politicians, and professionals. No social class or profession is safe from this troubling form of social control by the executive branch, and nothing less than the integrity of our constitutional democracy hangs in the balance.
So … are you making a point?… or just don’t know where you are today.
It appears the only reason you’ve come to our site is so you can drop links to your site. Forgive me, but there’s a word for that.
The FBI is compromised and has been for a very long time.
It’s too big, too powerful and quite frankly lies and/or withholds evidence in efforts to prosecute us citizens.
It’s far off it’s mission and must be reduced, particularly in its exposure internationally.
Maybe, once focused on domestic issues only it will do a better job.
PS who today, after all we have seen, would voluntarily assist FBI without an attorney present?
That is on Comey, McCabe etc and all those not holding FBI accountable.
FBI is also incompetent. Just look at the cases they have missed acting on. The 9/11 terrorists, the shooter at Parkland, the nightclub shooter and Jan 6th riot. Didn’t Wray also say he was not aware of any planned violence on the 6th that supposedly HIS department informed others about? Does he know anything about anything?
Trump’s non-action in firing him is not explainable. I can’t recall how many times I yelled at the TV saying to fire him and also Rosenstein. I would really like a good investigative reporter to ask Trump to explain his reasoning to tell us in his own words.
Mike Lee is useless. He let Wray lie to him like a rug, and just smiled so collegially.
The Republican senators have no one to blame but themselves for handling all these corrupt people with kid gloves. I have for more than fifty years sickened by corruption among politicians but the latest has been the worst of all. I hate politics because of the lack of principle and honesty. Where and when this will happen I do not know but if history is any guide there will be a new spate of wars begun by arsonist politicians.
So with all their great surveillance tools you would think they would be able to locate the one person who placed the pipe bombs at the RNC and DNC buildings. They’re talking to everyone, it seems, who was at the rally but didn’t enter the capital. How’d they find them? Why can’t they locate the pipe-bomber???
I wish someone had asked Wray how many Antifa and Black Lies Matter rioters, looters, vandals, arsonists, and murderers the FBI has arrested over the last 8 months. He should have also been asked why the FBI hasn’t used facial recognition and swept up cell phone data from the Antifa/BLM riots.
