♦ On the corporate boycott of Georgia the majority of Americans do not support it: Democrats: 50% support the boycott, 38% do not. Unaffiliated: 35% support the boycott while 47% do not support it. For Republican voters: 25% support the boycott and 63% oppose it. This translates to all voters: 37% support the boycott and 50% do not.
The majority of Americans do not support the ideological corporate boycott of Georgia. This is why the boycott of the corporations who are acquiescing to the minority can be punished so severely. With only 1 in 3 Americans supporting the corporate decision, those corporations can be crushed.
♦ Additionally, in the same polling the overwhelming majority of Americans support showing ID to vote. “75% of Likely U.S. Voters say requiring voters to show photo identification such as a driver’s license before being allowed to vote is necessary to “a fair and secure election process.” Nineteen percent (19%) disagree.”

yes, it is good news and I believe the numbers are even higher than the poll reflects but the reality is that we still have a Dominion problem and that can’t be over look. I held off being a “naysayer” until after yesterday’s local elections. Here is the result in my area. Democrats captured almost 58% of the vote. (Not really possible in my neck if the woods.)
The races that only a handful of Republicans are leading in are by fewer than 60 votes.
Here’s the kicker, there were 73k mail in ballots of which 40k have been returned. The remainder will be counted if they are received by 4/20. Two weeks after Election Day. No Republican will win.
People can hope that “there is a real possibility that they can be punished in the mid-term elections” but until the voting system gets fixed and people are held accountable it ain’t gonna happen.

If they worked Target would have been out of business 10 years ago… They are still saying “Happy Holidays” and not “Merry Christmas”.
Many of these companies make a political choice of disenfranchisement because the wokeness is more valuable to them than the small percentages they loose in the end.
People are still tuning into Fox News and the NBA, despite massive losses in the US market still managed to see a net gain of team values of 4% last year.
I’d personally love to see an economist go though these things and put honest light on it.
