It has taken me a few hours to diminish the anger that surfaced when I first saw these two pictures below.
As readers will note I have taken exception to the lack of strong leadership from the church during this COVID crisis. During a time when fellowship is most needed, most urgently needed, many churches are collapsing under their own fear. This is not a good outcome.
Suffice to say, there is absolutely nothing sensible about the position of this church as pictured; NOTHING.
First, for vaccinated people there is absolutely nothing to fear from the decision of another person not to vaccinate themselves. A non-vaccinated person does not represent a greater risk to a person who is vaccinated against the COVID virus. It is abject nonsense to make any other argument.
Second, this purposeful division is akin to saying ‘good people on the right, pesky non-good people on the left’. Setting up “classes of distinction” based on voluntary compliance with a non-FDA-approved test vaccine is ridiculous in the extreme. For a faith-based organization to be doing this is beyond the pale.
There is absolutely nothing christian about dividing people based on their vaccination status. Jesus did not say “love thy neighbor” and proceed to inject a qualifying “unless” in the statement.
…”Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” “The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
Fellowship is critical during this COVID isolation that has befallen many people in various states where the virus has been weaponized to create fear. There is nothing more valuable than the connection we share to each other; nothing is more purposeful; nothing is more inherently spiritual than being a source of light, hope, faith and love for our family, friends and community.
I would strongly urge any faith-based organization to evaluate their messaging around the COVID-19 virus and immediately cease any overt or implied message that draws lines of division in any congregation. THAT is the job of leadership. Comfort the afflicted, and stand strong amid the evil seeking to divide our nation.
Sorry. Newbie here.. do I need to confirm every sub on comment’s?
Nope we’re First Amendment here.
Amen!
I’m accustomed to all the wolves and consider it par for the course. The visible church is full of tares, wolves, and hirelings. It’s been watered down to mere religion, with watered down teaching to tickle the ears of its hearers. Many will not listen to sound doctrine.
Partially true. God is sifting out the phony churches, but there is a remnant of faithful believers who refuse to believe the lies. Faith and slavish fear CAN NOT co-exist. COVID has a survival rate of 99.7%! The passage of HR1 will weed out many more phonies.
Does anyone get this post displayed with the paragraphs scrolling off the right side of the page instead of being wrapped? Sorry if this has been asked and answered before. Thanks.
I think it happens when an oversized picture is posted.

Deirdre Hairston (Hariston) is a young Catholic mother. Deirdre, who is pregnant, already has a one-year-old. Recently, Deirdre Hairston was arrested DURING HOLY MASS for not wearing a mask.
Three police officers were waiting for her after she went to Holy Communion at Holy Trinity Church. She was kneeling down and holding her baby when the police officer said she needed to leave the mass.
When Deidre continued to kneel and pray the police officer grabbed her arm and tried to lift her and drag her out of the church. The officer told her she was trespassing — by attending mass!

Deirdre later found out the main pastor ratted her out! The usher was in the background screaming, “Lock her up!”
The police officer then asked her for ID and told her she was going to arrest her.
She was told not to come back to this Catholic Church again.
Did she really need to be told?
I wonder how much of this message from this particular church is driven by the state where it is located? Many states do not allow churches to have more than 25-50% attendance and require the stupid 6’ social distancing no matter what your vaccination status. Also, in many states, if my relatives are to be believed, people are being told that even WITH the vaccine they can still be “COVID CARRIERS” and must continue to mask 24/7 and maintain 6’ of distance EVEN AT HOME probably for the rest of time. They are also told that the vaccines do not protect against the “newer COVID strains,” so they are basically still as vulnerable as they were before the vaccine. At this point I generally say, “WHY did you get vaccinated then?” The response, “Because I don’t want to die and it’s the RIGHT thing to do.”
I’ve stopped going to church until it is fully open and we can sit together, sing together and, basically, openly worship together. I fear that may never happen, but sitting by myself in a pew with a stupid face diaper on, listening to a minister speak through a mask, hearing him READ the hymns to us because the state will not allow singing – honestly, it’s a Communist dream – I get so angry I just can’t do it.
May I suggest viewing Pastor Danny Jones of Northlake Baptist church online sermons and Wednesday Night Bible studies. Food for your soul. It will help you understand the times.
May I also suggest you start here to get a taste of the kind of truth you will hear in his sermons….he preached this sermon back in April of 2020 when many Pastors were ignoring the “elephant in the room”
https://youtu.be/0NROvEMNqx8 sermon starts around 23 minute mark
You can find all of his sermons and Bible study lessons online at this website.

I haven’t been to church in over a year due to our parish requiring masks and social distancing. The priest wears a mask when behind the royal doors at least 30 feet from any other person, and wears a mask while preaching. We are taught that to receive the mysteries of the eucharist is to receiving healing for body and soul, yet the pantomime of fear and danger is being practiced. It is disheartening.
So, whether you’re vaccinated or not, you STILL have to wear a mask? And “social” distance?
Because they have no Faith. If you had Faith the size of a mustard seed…
Exactly! The slavish fear of a virus with a 99.7% recovery rate!?!
Do you think that rate applies to these 80 year olds?
Maybe it doesn’t. But the immediate collapse into such fearfulness (which we saw here in Oregon a year ago now–in April) makes me think that there are a lot of people who have been assuming they are not going to die. Makes me wonder what else they haven’t figured out.
Our best pastor, 40 years ago, would remind the congregation from time to time, “None of us are going to get out of here alive.”
Making fear-based decisions as a consequence of refusing to deal with reality is a lousy way to live. My opinion.
My husband died from cancer 7 years ago. Two years later I was diagnosed with an aggressive malignancy that got taken care of with 15 months of chemo, radiation, and surgery. I’ll soon be 77 years old. I know about death and have held family members in my arms as they died. I will die, too, but in the meantime, I’m not going to go all wobbly-stupid because I might die of Covid. Whatever.
The people who are so freaked out about this and letting it rule their daily decision-making have bigger problems that have nothing to do with the china flu.
My opinion.
I agree. I too am well-acquainted with death.
And yet I am not afraid either. I have a hard time understanding the freaked-out, too. I always wanted the faith of a mustard seed. Maybe, I do have it. And maybe they are lacking faith.
So we have shut down the entire country, closed and bankrupt businesses, schools, churches and masked everyone, for a virus with a 99.7% survival rate and that seems reasonable and sane to you? Do you suppose we could have quarantined the most vulnerable and allowed the rest of the county to carry on?
Actually, it does. The recovery rate for other ages is higher … as much as 99.997% for school-age children and adults under 50.
Remember the scary videos of Chinese citizens collapsing on the sidewalks? Just walking to the market and BOOM, dead?
Have you EVER seen that happen here?
Here’s a number for you … the death rate for the vaccine is higher than for Covid.
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:
‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’
and,
‘In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not [a]tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
Why would a believer fear death? Not fearing death is NOT the same as tempting God, especially since the virus has a 99.7% survival rate.
You are misapplying that scripture passage.
I think the main problem lies in the fact that you think everything going on right now is about the COVID virus. Dig deeper. Think more. Ask God for understanding.
Nick, if that is tempting God, what was going on in the Temple when Jesus went through it with a whip?
Let me remind you of another passage “Render unto Caesar that which belongs to Caesar.” Do you think that your freedom and human dignity comes from Caesar? If not, then do not surrender them to the government.
Pope Francis, Franklin Graham and Al Mohler are encouraging people to get the COVID vax

Not surprised by Pope Francis but Franklin Graham involvement in pushing this non-vaccine shot is very disheartening!
Sad.
My background is like yours. After 69 years I can’t stomach the Church in its present condition. In the last 30 years I haven’t heard one sermon concerning abortion. I regularly attend a variety of Christian churches now.
But the Catholic Church has the Sacraments not available at any other church. We listen to the readings, pray with our community, ignore the homily and receive the blessed sacrament. Priest are human and the devil wants them more than any one. But the blessed sacrament is pure Jesus Christ, healing food for the soul. Pray for your church leaders. Tune into father Altman or some other inspiring priest with a streaming channel if you need the sermon. But I pray you don’t leave the church and the spiritual gifts available through the Catholic Church.
The Lutheran church believes in the Lord’s supper. There are many branches of the Lutheran church ranging from very liberal (ELCA) to very conservative (Wisconsin synod). There are three more in between- Missouri Synod Lutheran and LCMC and NALC. Lutheran. The Missouri synod does not allow women to be Pastors; and many congregations have closed communion. The other two (my congregation belongs to both) allow women to be Pastors. We have many former Catholics that feel very at home in our church.
What sacraments do you speak of that are not available at any other church?
Read carefully through the book of Acts. If a sacrament isn’t established there, it’s not a sacrament, but a tradition created by men. I think most people would be surprised at how few there really are. Traditions are great if they guide one to faith in Christ, but they should never take precedence or divide Christ’s church.
That “Haves and Have-nots” is quite a twist of Mathew 13:12
…for shame (pun intended)

This pastor in Alberta refused to force his congregation to wear masks and limit congregation size and spent 35 days in jail for it. Rebel News has lots more clips of him besides this:
This pastor is one of the very few ACTUAL Christians in the pulpit. NOTE, TOO that the same enforcement rules are not being brought to bear on the Mosques and Synagogues.
Why?

Ya’ll need to find a church that still believes in God’s protection not Johnson&Johnson.
False prophets…
Does everyone know that “Catholic” charities is majority funded by the US government?
There are a number of religious charities profiting by the millions off of the migrant crisis. Catholic, Lutheran, Jewish, and Baptist charities are being paid 100s of millions of taxpayer dollars to keep the border open. Finally, Steve Bannon is talking about something Sundance has been shouting to the rooftops about for the last couple years.
Not a church at all….pretending.
My kind of preaching is hearing Jentezen Franklin and Dr. Robert Jeffers. They are truly leaders of our faith. Bar NONE!
“… lack of strong leadership from the church …”
If by “church” you mean the Catholic church – don’t look for any kind of “leadership” from it, since the Bishops, with a few exceptions mostly outside the US, are nothing more than “go along to get along” politicians of the worst kind. (That’s from a Catholic, btw.)
This is so disgusting. We all need to be in prayer, and follow up on some heavy duty research on the Catholic Church.
Sundance- this just breaks my heart to see.
Obviously not a Catholic church pictured. So where is this?
Churches obey God like governments obey those people who put them in office.
So, like the mask bs, if you have an allergy or immune condition that could make the jab a death sentence, you’re (I’m) a bad person, entitled to no respect or accommodation. But if you’re a racebaiting looter, assaulter, or an illegal alien, etc, you get a pass and a bust of Mao trophy–for participation don’tchano.
I’m so lucky. We have great priests–threy know this is all BS.
If this is your church, why go public? Take it up in a church meeting. If this is not your church, then it is none of your business.
Render unto Caesar ONLY that which belongs to Caesar. My freedom and my dignity do not come from the government.
