Reminder, That Time When Secretary of State Pompeo Shared The Chinese Communist Party List of U.S. Governors…

With increased attention on how U.S. politicians are purchased by Chinese influence it is worth revisiting a speech made by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo directly to an assembly of U.S. Governors who were on the 2020 CCP influence list.

Pompeo’s remarks were made to the National Governors Association (NGA) Feb 8, 2020; and there’s an interesting segment where Pompeo reveals his awareness of a list of U.S. governors compiled by China’s communist party; and their alignment with China’s interests. A transcript of the key excerpt from his speech is provided. WATCH:

[Transcript at 01:45] […] “Last year, I received an invitation to an event that promised to be, quote, “an occasion for exclusive deal-making.” It said, quote, “the opportunities for mutually beneficial economic development between China and our individual states [are] tremendous,” end of quote.”

“Deal-making sounds like it might have come from President Trump, but the invitation was actually from a former governor.

I was being invited to the U.S.-China Governors’ Collaboration Summit.

It was an event co-hosted by the National Governors Association and something called the Chinese People’s Association For Friendship and Foreign Countries. Sounds pretty harmless.

What the invitation did not say is that the group – the group I just mentioned – is the public face of the Chinese Communist Party’s official foreign influence agency, the United Front Work Department.

Now, I was lucky. I was familiar with that organization from my time as the director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

But it got me thinking.

How many of you made the link between that group and Chinese Communist Party officials?

What if you made a new friend while you were at that event?

What if your new friend asked you for introductions to other politically connected and powerful people?

What if your new friend offered to invest big money in your state, perhaps in your pension, in industries sensitive to our national security?

These aren’t hypotheticals. These scenarios are all too true, and they impact American foreign policy significantly.

Indeed, last year, a Chinese Government-backed think tank in Beijing produced a report that assessed all 50 of America’s governors on their attitudes towards China. They labeled each of you “friendly,” “hardline,” or “ambiguous.”

I’ll let you decide where you think you belong. Someone in China already has. Many of you, indeed, in that report are referenced by name.

So here’s the lesson: The lesson is that competition with China is not just a federal issue. It’s why I wanted to be here today, Governor Hogan. It’s happening in your states with consequences for our foreign policy, for the citizens that reside in your states, and indeed, for each of you.

And, in fact, whether you are viewed by the CCP as friendly or hardline, know that it’s working you, know that it’s working the team around you.

Competition with China is happening inside of your state, and it affects our capacity to perform America’s vital national security functions.” (Keep Reading)

Secretary Pompeo, noting his prior role as CIA director, fired a shot across the bow of the governors with those remarks.  Subtle as a brick through a window… letting them know of the Trump administration awareness of their Chinese influence.

To provide more information, Axios had an article earlier this year and included the Chinese Communist Party Report [Cloud pdf Here]

It is starting to look like that list might be some CCP disinformation. If Kemp is a hardliner I hate to think what the others are doing.

Agree. Or something is lost in translation.
NYS has been in deep with Chicoms for decades. Buffalo even has a Chinese sister city, same city that makes the Tesla solar roof panels that were to be manufactured in NY. (Bernie’s Moscow honeymoon was a sister cities program junket, iir.)
When Xi visited NY on his state visit in 2015, he sent a contingent upstate on a biomedical tour.

China had an interest in developing high speed rail in NYS. IIR, Lockheed had the earliest studies for that technology in Binghamton.

I would interpret “hardliner” to mean just difficult to deal with. New York makes sense in that sense. The NY trade negotiators could be in total sympathy with the CCP, but will still send the CCP negotiators home without their shirts and missing a couple of fingers. Just business. Hardliners.

WOW! I’ve been wondering about this list since it appeared. No rhyme, or reason.

Looking at it this way, it makes more sense. That is not coincidence.

Since this list became available, I’ve wondered what the CCP are trying to “tell” us – meaning, what do they want us to think?

Now, why the obvious lack of certain Governors, like IL Pritzker, a billionaire hotel mogul?

Have been wondering why the IL Gov. wasn’t on this list, since SoS Pompeo publicized it early this year.

Is it possible this list was purposely inaccurate with the goal of deceiving the governors, to make some of these governors think that Pompeo and the State Department have no exact idea as to which governors are in bed with China? But in actuality Pompeo, Trump, etc know full well who is and isn’t a traitor …

It may be better to determine what each state may have that would be a target of the Chinese, and how easy it might be to obtain it.
On the other hand, were they simply targeting states to influence the 2020 election?
The Chinese are not stupid. Why bother with certain states when they already reliably steal the vote?

Just because a governor doesn’t appear on China’s list of Friendly or even Unclear, is no conclusive evidence that he or she isn’t fully corrupt and bought off by some other Globalist entity. Either way the Governor is a traitor to the oath of office that he or she swore upon entering office.
Hopefully these traitors will be brought to REAL justice and be held accountable for their greed and dishonor.

The big box stores have the strongest ties to China due to the volume of materials they sell… therefore they are “essential” whereas the small business owners are typically conservative and generally Trump supporters. Making small businesses “non-essential” theoretically reduces the amount of money they can send to conservative causes. That make sense?

So to recap……..
1) we now have TX suing 4 swing states for election irregularities and other claims.
2) we have had for 4 weeks, Rudy, Jenna, Sidney and Lin gathering massive amounts of affidavits and other evidence of voter fraud.
3) we have Pompeo and Ratcliffe in the past couple of days warning the American people about China.
4) we are seeing reports of governors and congressmen involved with Chinese CCP officials and possibly spies.
5) we are awaiting the forensic audit results of 22 voting machines in MI
6) we have read tweets about the forensic audit of the one voting machine in GA
7) we know PT has an EO 13484 that provides numerous options and action including the confiscation of assets if foreign interference is found
8) we know Ratcliffe MUST deliver a report by no later than Dec 18 stating if our intelligence team has seen evidence of foreign election interference.
9) so what happens if Ratcliffe delivers his report indicting THERE WAS foreign election interference later this week?
10) And finally what if PT does indeed have the alleged Frankfort Servers with all its contents and communications and shares that simple comment with all Americans and has the Jay Sekulow team present this evidence to the SC lawsuit?
11) Oh and what happens if PT enacts EO 13484 and exposes everything on the Biden laptop to Americans? What implications under EO13484 might this carry as well? Would Joe himself be possibly considered a National Security risk?
just food for thought!

Here’s a key excerpt:

“Trump waged a trade war with us. Why couldn’t we handle him? Why is it that between 1992 and 2016 we always resolved issues with US? Did you guys know? All the crisis, the Yinhe incident, bombing of the embassy or the mid-air collision, everything was taken care of swiftly, in no more than two months.
Why? Now, I’m going to drop a bomb – because we had people up there [laughter] inside America’s core circle of power, we had our old friends. Due to time constraint, I won’t expand on that, but let me very quickly tell you a short story. Director General Zhang Zhixiang spoke well with some amazing stories. So here is my story. I have had his discussion with many friends in influential positions. Back in early 2018, I attended a briefing given by the FBI ADCI Bill Priestap to a small number of C-Suite execs in the NYC area about current urgent Counterintelligence threats. Given what Priestap had been up to in 2016 and 2017, I expected it to be a primer on Russian infiltration. Instead, he opened his presentation with this (paraphrased):
“You may think I am here to talk about Russia. I am not. Russia is a nuclear threat, and a geopolitical rival, but they are a third world country that does not present anything remotely like a peer adversary to the West and the US. No, you can literally forget about Russia for now. I am here solely to talk about China. For the past 5 years, my colleagues and I have been screaming at the Obama/Biden Administration from every street corner and rooftop in America that we need to focus on and take severe and urgent countermeasures against China in every single aspect of American culture, economics, military, intelligence, science, medical, and commercial endeavor. We may not think we are at war with China, but China most definitely is at war with us. And China does not hold back. China believes in ‘Total War.’ This means every aspect of the state and the population is fully engaged. Their cyber and kinetic warfare capabilities are now unrivaled in Asia and they have attained near parity with us. They will pass us in total economic size and in warmaking capabilities in the next few years. The previous Administration had no interest in our warnings. In fact, the ‘point man’ for Chinese relations has consistently spoken of a rising China as a positive for the US, and as a friend. This is delusional thinking. China’s official policy and practice is OPENLY hostile to the United States and our way of life. We don’t have much longer to confront this head on. The current Administration is far more receptive to this message, and the President has taken it seriously. But he has entrenched opposition, much of which comes from potentially compromised and/or misguided …”
Priestap cajoled those present to intervene with any contacts we might have had in the Trump Administration and with our business colleagues and even our rivals. This was a national and Western crisis. He put up a slide of the top 20 action points. I clearly recall the first: Tech companies Huawei and ZTE led the list as absolutely urgent, existential threats to the US and European tech and infrastructure security. He went on for an hour outlining in detail the threats and proposed actions. I can tell you I certainly followed Priestap’s admonition. I contacted my friends in the Administration, several of whom I worked with and knew well, including POTUS, even though my voice was a mouse squeak. I told everyone I knew in business to put their CTO and Security heads on notice, and asked several billionaire friends to push on their political contacts. I believe everyone in that room – all of whom were far far more influential than a retired trader and journalist – did the same. And we all noticed that by mid 2018, Trump had escalate, particularly against Huawei and ZTE, among others.

Biden was that ‘point man’ referred to by Priestap. He is deeply compromised. Is it any surprise that our corporate media, and big tech, most of which sees China as the key to their 21st Century revenue growth, has acted as the downfield blocking for Chinese propaganda, censoring and deplatforming/demonetizing anyone who speaks out? The complete suppression of the Hunter Biden story – his outright sellout to CEFC and the official corruption and influence arm of the CCP – is not just shameful, it is a threat to our national security. That fools and morons have been suckered by the “Russian disinformation” claim about his laptop, clearly a CCP propaganda effort spread by their sycophants and professional disinformation factories, is deeply unsettling.
The country is waking up to the scope of this threat, but Biden and the Democrats are unreliable. Many of them are likely compromised. Do you think Fusion GPS and the other contractors with access to the NSA database were unable to monetize the information they were free to download thanks to our feckless FBI? And which country would be the best customer for such “komprimat”? Pro tip: not Russia!! The irony that this was facilitated by Priestap’s own office is sickening. Soldier on!

My son is studying Chinese, he is a big language guy, just joined the US Army. I asked him to translate the list headings. The first column indicated if the governor listed is make/female, then their age, then the state of course. He didn’t know what the last column was designating, but you can tell by the characters it’s a one or the other type of classification.

I just read further below, that last column is Rep or Dem. I’m late to the party!

I would be very careful putting too much emphasis on the categories on this list. Would China really have put in writing the American officials they own? Or, would they be more likely to want to stir up trouble for individuals who are really anti-CCP and give a pass to the corrupt? I know that Governor Newsom gave China a billion dollars for masks for COVID that were never received, and yet he is an unclear category. And Kemp is supposedly hardline? Doesn’t make sense to me.

Well, I just had an eyeful.
Three things:
First, I just found my county IN NY of all places that took Zuckerberg’s money from his Center for Tech and Civic Life…our county flipped from President and Local red to blue three weeks after the election, and the one Dim House member who kept his seat, I swear has been kept in office for the last six years with a DominionWin. The Republican challenger was up on Election Night by 1000 votes but lost 3 weeks later by 3%. Her website was down before the counting was finished. 93% to 97% of the mail-ins went to Biden and company. Sound familiar?
Here is the Google Doc:

Second, where did that money actually come from?

Third, didn’t quite a few governors purchase PPE or masks from China? We need to find out who ordered what from where and with whose money. And Gavin Newscum was caught in a massive PPE order to China. Was it connected in some way?

So getting to your point, I believe this list is all misdirection.

The one I don’t get is Kemp in Georgia. He is listed as a “Hardliner” yet I watched a video a CTH’r posted the other day of Kemp practically begging for Chinese business. (Can’t find the link). He’s as dirty as they come.

It is Axios though, so possibly disinformation. Must be for Kemp tp be on there & didn’t the Chinese build the new Tappanzee Bridge – surely Cuomo was in charge of that.

Kemp a hardliner? Ha! They must’ve gotten to him after the list was compiled. He’s bought and paid for.

If Biden does end up as president he will be there because of all the fraud the democrats did to steal the election. The terrifying thing is that Joe Biden will be taking orders from China. In other words, China will be running our government. It is time Americans wake up and revolt against what will happen if Biden takes office.

Ive been wondering, what would it look like if Pompeo was running point on the China election meddling? Foreign interference into our elections might be better investigated by a former CIA Secy of State than a compromised CIA director or a soy boy FBI director. Thinking out loud.

Maybe hardliner means the governor drives a hard bargain and requires large payments? Its hard to know without the 2nd and 5th columms translated.

I’m curious. If Kemp was a hardliner at some point, what do the Chinese have on him to get him to roll over so quickly?

Where is Blackface on the list? Pompeo clearly mentioned Richmond in his speech.

Gavin Newsom made that crappy deal (for the state) with China earlier this year for medical gear yet he’s on the unknown list?

I think the LIST rates the likelihood of a politician to be influenced . So they may have been gtargeted bjut we dont know if they took the quid pro quo. lol
But its in Chinese so not sure.
