CONFIRMED: President Trump Commutes Sentence of Roger Stone – “Roger Stone Is Now a Free Man”…

This evening a Washington DC appeals court denied an emergency request from Roger Stone to delay the start of his 40-month prison term for bragging to congress. The court said Stone had not proved he was in particular danger of catching COVID-19 in prison.

The court decision assured that Mr. Stone would have to surrender to federal correctional offices in Georgia. However, the White House is now confirming that President Trump has contacted Mr. Stone to notify him his sentence has been commuted.

WHITE HOUSE – Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Grant of Clemency commuting the unjust sentence of Roger Stone, Jr.

Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia Hoax that the Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency.

There was never any collusion between the Trump Campaign, or the Trump Administration, with Russia. Such collusion was never anything other than a fantasy of partisans unable to accept the result of the 2016 election. The collusion delusion spawned endless and farcical investigations, conducted at great taxpayer expense, looking for evidence that did not exist.

As it became clear that these witch hunts would never bear fruit, the Special Counsel’s Office resorted to process-based charges leveled at high-profile people in an attempt to manufacture the false impression of criminality lurking below the surface. These charges were the product of recklessness borne of frustration and malice.

This is why the out-of-control Mueller prosecutors, desperate for splashy headlines to compensate for a failed investigation, set their sights on Mr. Stone.

Roger Stone is well known for his nearly 50 years of work as a consultant for high-profile Republican politicians, including President Ronald Reagan, Senator Bob Dole, and many others. He is also well known for his outspoken support for President Donald J. Trump and opposition to Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Stone was charged by the same prosecutors from the Mueller Investigation tasked with finding evidence of collusion with Russia. Because no such evidence exists, however, they could not charge him for any collusion-related crime. Instead, they charged him for his conduct during their investigation.

The simple fact is that if the Special Counsel had not been pursuing an absolutely baseless investigation, Mr. Stone would not be facing time in prison.

In addition to charging Mr. Stone with alleged crimes arising solely from their own improper investigation, the Mueller prosecutors also took pains to make a public and shameful spectacle of his arrest.

Mr. Stone is a 67-year-old man, with numerous medical conditions, who had never been convicted of another crime. But rather than allow him to surrender himself, they used dozens of FBI agents with automatic weapons and tactical equipment, armored vehicles, and an amphibious unit to execute a pre-dawn raid of his home, where he was with his wife of many years.

Notably, CNN cameras were present to broadcast these events live to the world, even though they swore they were not notified—it was just a coincidence that they were there together with the FBI early in the morning.

Not only was Mr. Stone charged by overzealous prosecutors pursing a case that never should have existed, and arrested in an operation that never should have been approved, but there were also serious questions about the jury in the case.

The forewoman of his jury, for example, concealed the fact that she is a member of the so-called liberal “resistance” to the Trump Presidency. In now-deleted tweets, this activist-juror vividly and openly attacked President Trump and his supporters.

Mr. Stone would be put at serious medical risk in prison. He has appealed his conviction and is seeking a new trial. He maintains his innocence and has stated that he expects to be fully exonerated by the justice system.

Mr. Stone, like every American, deserves a fair trial and every opportunity to vindicate himself before the courts. The President does not wish to interfere with his efforts to do so. At this time, however, and particularly in light of the egregious facts and circumstances surrounding his unfair prosecution, arrest, and trial, the President has determined to commute his sentence. Roger Stone has already suffered greatly. He was treated very unfairly, as were many others in this case.

Roger Stone is now a free man!

Eagerly anticipating the legal maneuver that the judge appoints an amicus curiae to independently review the commuted sentence to ensure Stone goes to prison.

Message received, though: $&@% with the Government Party and you get a SWAT team up your ass, and everyone at DOJ and FBI who abused their power 100% skates.

For now hokkoda. Only for now… Term Two will be EPIC, and it’s nearly here. Although for the first time in a long time, the days so seem to crawl right now!

      • You are so right. We all say how time flies, but we are all on eggshells. On the one hand anxious about what ELSE the left will do and about their illegal attempts to steal the election and to keep people ignorant of the full scope of the evil behind them; and on the other hand wanting more time for Trump to start pulling out his trump cards (pun unavoidable, not intentional).

jkash, I have a hunch what comes next: It seems very strange to me that the SDNY should be so gung-ho on prosecuting Ghislaine Maxwell just now (I find it difficult to believe the FBI and NSA didn’t known where she was hiding all along.) Despite the removal of the top guy at SDNY, it’s still probably staffed by Resisters who are up to their necks in the soft coup, but Maxwell’s testimony is hardly likely to do prominent Democrats any good. This would be extra true of the Clintons. So what gives?

I would not be at all surprised if sometime in the next month or two, Ms. Maxwell suddenly remembers seeing Donald Trump cavorting on Orgy Island with underage girls. Of course there will be no actual evidence, but no matter! It will be enough to hurt President Trump in the election. The crooked agents at SDNY are probably having this conversation with Maxwell right now. “How much are a few well-chosen lies worth to you Ghislaine? Clemency? A suspended sentence? Think about it.”

          • I heard that from someone else but I disagree for a few reasons:
            1) According to someone who was a victim of Ghislaine, she is arguably more evil than he was AND she is completely out for herself and is ruthless.
            2) According to others the reason that she was living not that hidden was that she was certain that her cronies would prevent her ever being arrrested. Citing the first point, that Ghislaine is out for herself, it’s arguable that she wants to stick it to them.
            3) the fact that she has been sent to one of the most dangerous jails for her to be in implies that the people you are alluding to do indeed at the very least plan to turn her into a pawn to hurt Trump; but it’s also a jail that a previous NYPD chief said is notoriously corrupt and very very tough on women abuse.

So I do see what you are saying, but Ghislaine is the last tie to the trio that the left is desperately trying to NOT be connected: The sex traffickers and pedophiles of Weinstein/Epstein & Clinton…and the deep state that enabled them and/or profited from them and/or actively participated in their degeneracy.

The left in the last 3 1/2 years has Arkancided so many people and gotten away with it that they don’t believe that if they did it to her it would be any different. We’ve already seen them using over and over and OVER the same tactics against Trump and any who support him. They are so complacent and so contemptuous of our intelligence that they don’t fear repeating themselves.

Helicopter pilot, submarine operator, and there were other things she also was trained in. It was said that others, besides Epstein had bugging devices in his residences. Its very easy these days. many types of gadgets on the market. So there were people who wanted to know what went on at Epsteins houses. Who those people are, have not been released yet. But the FBI alone determines which evidence gets released, if any. If she makes a plea deal, we’ll likely see nothing. Or, more likely, only selected info that makes only Republicans look bad.

All the points you make are true, but none of these things would preclude Maxwell from cutting a deal. Probably the strongest argument against my theory is that the Dems at the SDNY would not want to put a spotlight on the Clintons’ past associations, but they may be ready to throw the Clinton’s under the bus, or, more likely, they plan to control the the public exposure of any revelations Maxwell may make by eliminating the need for a public trial, e.g., through a plea deal.

Problem is, Manafort actually broke real laws and is in prison for a legitimate reason. It was a politically motivated prosecution that got him in the position to be charged but he is guilty. I think President Trump will commute his sentence sometime next year or at the latest before he leaves office in 2025.

          My suspicion is he was prosecuted as a result of fruit of the poisonous orchard;
The DOJ had looked at him several years earlier, and declined to prosecute.
Two years later, they hang him high. Firstly because they were motivated, secondly because they used the two-hop from the illegal CP Fisa warrant.

THATS how they actually got the info on the, wire transfers, that they never would have got, using a Title 3 warrant, which is used for criminal prosecutions.

One of the charges against Cohen: Bank fraud. Sounds ominous. He and his wife applied for a loan. On the loan, he listed a second home they had bought as an investment.
          Rental property.
Then, his daughter was having trouble, so they let her move in, and live rent free till she could get herself together.
It was STILL a rental property, he didn’t NEED the income from it, and the bank DIDN’T CARE. Never the less, they charged HIM with Bank fraud, and threatened his wife, as well.
Read the book by,..Silverman I think it is. The guy who co-authored a book with Sidney.
His earlier book is “3 Felonies a Day”.
The premise is that the average adult commits 3 felonies a day, without even realising it, and if you own a business, MORE.

That, IF THEY WANT TO, they can do this to any of us.

And THATS not how prosecutions are supposed to work in this country.

You don’t “Show me the man, I’ll show you the crime”, and not supposed to have selective prosecutions, either.

Look at PapaD; if he had brought the 10 grand back, you would be saying “Hey, he committed crimes!”
          FARA violation, Tax evasion, etc.

So please, don’t give me that “he broke real laws and is in prison for a legitimate reason” crap.
ALL of these prosecutions stemming from Mueller are as illigitimate as hell!

As frustrating as a commutation might be to those who had hoped for a pardon, and as costly, stressful, and time-consuming an appeal may be, a reversal of Berman’s rulings could be far more satisfying in the end.

A reversal by an appeals court is it publicly telling the trial judge, “You blew it. Try to get it right next time.” Being slammed by one’s judicial peers like that is humiliating (but it does happen at some time to just ab out every trial judge.)

The biased jury forewoman is the best argument – she tainted every other juror as to every guilty count. The denial of Stone’s request to challenge whether the DNC server was hacked may be critical, too, now that the Crowdstrike officer’s testimony was declassified, and he said Crowdstrike couldn’t tell if the Russians hacked the server.

Some guilty counts may be reversed, and others vacated and sent back for a new trial. It won’t be the old Mueller gang deciding on what, if any issues, on which to re-try Stone.

Slow and frustrating, yes i know, but the wheels of justice do grind slowly.

Great Great news , BTW I am firmly convinced that the crazy , disgusting militarized arrest of Roger Stone, complete with CNN live coverage, was specifically designed in hopes of getting VSGT so angry that he would fire Mueller and create an obstruction of justice charge to be quickly ginned up ( especially since they already knew that there was nothing to “Russia Russia” ) . I’m sure they were both surprised and disappointed that this ploy didn’t have the desired effect . VSGT knew what they were really trying to do with this dirty tactic .

Excellent statement by the White House–except it should have been made by AG Barr a year ago. But Barr thought it was a righteous prosecution.

Bill Barr has been Attorney General for a year and a half–and not one single coup-plotter has been charged, let alone convicted. If Roger Stone lied to Congress, it was over nothing. By contrast, Brennan, Clapper, Comey and McCabe lied about sedition and obstructed justice. Where is their “righteous prosecution, Bill? Barr and his Silky Pony Durham haven’t lifted a finger to hold them accountable yet.

If Democrats aren’t held accountable for trying to overthrow the government with the FBI and CIA, they will do it again. In fact, they already tried with CIA officer Eric Ciaramella. And if they are going to attempt another coup, then they must be prevented from obtaining power BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. And there goes the whole thing.

If Barr and Durham are not part of the cover-up, they need to prove it tomorrow morning. Not next week, next month or next year. NOW. RIGHT NOW.

While I agree with everything you’ve said about how bogus the raid was, how stupid the investigation was, there is still the matter of his testimony in Congress, and he really did lie there. And he was under oath.

Now lots of other people we know have lied, some under oath. Brennan lied about spying on the Senate Intel committee. (He later admitted he lied, and apologized). No charges.

James Clapper lied under oath when he said the NSA didn’t spy on Americans. We learned this when the NSA docs were leaked by Edward Snowdon. He was never prosecuted.

Adam Schiff had lied flagrantly and often, as far as I know not under oath, but in his official role as a Congressman.

He did also try to get someone to lie along with him, and said crude and threatening things to him when he refused. The attempt to intimidate a witness charge is another one he was clearly guilty of.

I think Trump did not pardon him, but merely commuted the sentence because of the fact that he was guilty of what he was charged with.

Basically commuting means “the conviction was correct, but the punishment is excessive”.

I think this is good, because, if anything is ever to come out of the Obamagate investigation, most of the charges would be these sorts of process crimes. Lying to investigators, lying under oath. It’s good that President Trump has left the convictions in place for now.

I hope that Stone continues his appeals to have the convictions overthrown. The makeup of the jury was pathetic. That can not be allowed to stand.

“…Lying, cheating and charming, spying and scamming his way through the world with a warm smile on his face and a gun tucked in his back pocket, Henry Greenberg — or whatever his name is; he uses at least four — was born in Russia. But the sun and the swindles brought him to South Florida, which is now the backdrop for the latest chapter in the seemingly endless controversy over who may have have ripped off whom in the 2016 presidential election.

Greenberg, who has left a trail of arrests halfway around the world, is the mystery man at the center of the newest report of contact between Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign staff and shadowy Russians. Greenberg stands accused by Trump associates of trying to peddle derogatory information about Hillary Clinton to Trump’s organization for a cool $2 million.

But if it’s true, was Greenberg part of a Russian government attempt to tilt the scales of the election in Trump’s favor? Or a sinister undercover shill for the FBI, trying to lure Trump’s lieutenants into an illegal act for which they could be prosecuted? Or just a run-of-the-mill Russian con man trying to make a quick freelance score for himself?

The strange and captivating tale of Greenberg came to light over the weekend in The Washington Post. The Post reported that two former senior Trump campaign advisors who had previously told a congressional committee that they didn’t recall talking to any Russians during the campaign both changed their testimony. They said they now remembered having fleeting contact — “a matter of minutes,” one said — with Greenberg, who wanted to sell them political dirt on Clinton…”

Caputo hired a PI to figure out who this guy was.

        FBI informant.

Caputo said that a man identifying himself as a Russian-American named “Henry Greenberg” called him one day from Miami, “offering information [on Hillary Clinton] to the Trump campaign.”
“I deflected the call to Roger Stone,” Caputo recalled, noting that at the time he knew Greenberg to be a convicted criminal with questionable ties.
Caputo said he found out that Greenberg is or was an FBI informant, and claimed his real identity is a Gennady Vasilievich Vostretsov, a Russian national with a violent criminal history.
One of Stone’s attorneys, Grant Smith, claimed in a 2018 letter to the House Intelligence Committee that Greenberg a.k.a. Vostretsov was trying to “entrap” Stone and “compromise the Trump effort.”
This has been public knowledge since last June:
Caputo said in a letter he sent to the House Intelligence Committee on [June 15] that the man, 59-year-old Gennadiy Vasilievich Vostretsov, had reached out to him in late May 2016 through his business partner in Miami, a Russian national named Sergey Petrushin. Vostretsov introduced himself as “Henry Greenberg” and said he had information about Clinton he wanted to provide the Trump campaign.
Caputo put him in touch with Roger Stone, who was serving as a senior adviser to then-candidate Donald Trump and lived in South Florida. Stone met with “Greenberg” but later told Caputo that he had tried to sell information on Clinton, but he declined and thought “Greenberg” was “a nut,” according to the letter.
According to text messages reviewed by the Washington Post, Caputo wrote to Stone: “How crazy is the Russian?” Stone replied that “Greenberg” wanted “big” money. “Waste of time,” he texted Caputo.
Caputo said he forgot about this interaction until several weeks ago, when the Special Counsel asked him about a May 29, 2016, text message he sent to Stone asking if “Greenberg” had contacted him. Caputo said he was suspicious about how much the Special Counsel knew about the “Greenberg” approach and ordered his own investigation of him.
“After my [Office of Special Counsel] interview, I deployed the crowdfunding resources of CaputoLegalFund.com to investigate Henry Greenberg in the United States and Russia,” Caputo said in a statement on Sunday. “We discovered very quickly that this shady character has a long career as an FBI informant.”
Caputo found that “Greenberg” was really Vostretsov and had also assumed the names Henry Oknyansky and Gennady Arzhanik. He learned that Vostretsov had a long history of criminal activity in Russia, served ten years in prison, he first arrived in the U.S. in 1994, was soon after charged with assault with a deadly weapon, and served time in U.S. prisons for that and other charges.
Ask yourself a couple of questions:
Was it a coincidence that an FBI informant contacted Caputo in May 2016 offering to sell information on Clinton?
Why did Mueller’s investigators know to ask questions about this guy?
Isn’t it obvious — aren’t we justified in surmising — that Vostretsov was part of an effort by the FBI to lure Trump’s associates into a trap? And if we are correct in this logical inference, isn’t it therefore apparent that federal agents were targeting the Trump campaign even before the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation was officially begun in late July 2016? This is the clearest clue we have that the so-called “Deep State” conspiracy against Trump had begun operating months before the date claimed by ex-FBI director James Comey. Whether or not Comey knew what was going on with Vostretsov, if Caputo’s version of the story is correct, it seems highly unlikely that a known FBI informant would have been independently trying to contact the Trump campaign.
Especially we should consider this bit of information important in light of the fact that Natalia Veselnitskaya, the central figure in the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting, was evidently in cahoots with Fusion GPS, the Clinton-connected firm which commissioned the Steele dossier. Is it possible that the same people who were pushing Veselnitskaya toward the Trump campaign were also involved in the earlier “Greenberg” ruse? And doesn’t this suggest that someone inside the FBI may have been working with Fusion GPS personnel or other Clinton operatives to do a “sting” on the Trump campaign? Well, I don’t know the answers to these questions, but I hope Senate Republicans will start trying to connect these dots, because this thing reeks to high heaven.

All of those would-be seducers of Trump associates were later slimy efforts at legitimizing Obama’s cult-mob activities.

Figuring there had to be a lot more to the story, Caputo says he hired a Palm Beach private investigations company to look into Greenberg. “What they found were federal court documents proving, irrefutably, that he’s been working for the FBI for years,” Caputo said. “When he tried to sell us dirt on Clinton, it was an FBI operation. … The FBI sent a violent, illegal-alien criminal Russian to meet with us.”

What? Another FBI Entrapment Scheme? Say it ain’t so, James B. Comey.

Maybe Stone and Caputo will testify in Comey’s trial. Wouldn’t THAT be funny.

    Re Ghislaine Maxwell.

Rather than “turning” her to make false allegations against the President I think it more likely that in the coming weeks/months she will be negotiating like mad for a lesser or even commuted sentence in return for keeping schtumm about Clinton and other dems.

SDNY will do anything to prevent her from speaking out pre-election so they have no motive to hurry things along. She is sufficiently canny to have lodged full disclosures to be released in the event of her unexpected demise thereby enduring she will be wrapped in cotton wool while detained.

After the election if Biden wins her bargaining position becomes stronger as he will offer anything to prevent embarrassment. If hopefully President Trump prevails the SDNY will have no motive to proceed at anything more than a snails pace with the case.

    To summarise:-

Tumbleweed until November then plea bargain and light minimum security sentence.

As I have written many times, the Democrat party is no longer a legitimate political force, but, since Obama in 2008, only a criminal organized mob and insane cult. I wasn’t in favor of pardoning Flynn and Stone, just simply because properly uncorrupting our corrupt legal system must eventually involve forcing it to do the right thing, and free those guys from its illegitimate prosecutions. Those guys are suffering wrongly, but their sacrifices are part of draining the Swamp. Unfortunately and against all reason, the Swamp is continuing efforts to bury both those guys, and now Trump’s reached his redline, the point when these cretins actually try to put these 2 men in prison. Flynn appears to be warding off that redline, but Stone has reached it.

So Trump’s acting, and I applaud it. It’s time. It’s ripe now, too. This action surfaces the Swamp’s degeneracy once again, which is a good thing for MAGA. They always run a scam, then try to bury it and move on to the next scam, making the last scam disappear down the memory hole. Notice “impeachment” has disappeared, as the last thing the Swamp wants is for that to come up in any way other than perverse soundbites. Well, pardoning Stone defeats this strategy. Attacking Trump over this pardon brings the whole mess into the spotlight, the last thing the Swamp wants. I believe we’re witnessing some more 4d chess here. Typical Trumpian multilayered strategy, working at several levels and fronts, the right thing done for Stone, the right thing done for our dysfunctional legal system, the right thing to do for draining the Swamp, the right thing to do for exposing the Witch Hunt… all of the above.

CNN has a ten reasons Trump’s statement is a lie including this nifty little dodge/strawman about their presence at the Stone arrest. “”In addition to charging Mr. Stone with alleged crimes arising solely from their own improper investigation, the Mueller prosecutors also took pains to make a public and shameful spectacle of his arrest.”
CNN skips entirely where they are involved and just says “These crimes are not merely “alleged.” Stone was convicted by a jury on seven counts. He is appealing his conviction and maintains his innocence. But the crimes are no longer mere “allegations” by prosecutors. Also, the commutation doesn’t erase these convictions from Stone’s record.”
